Chapter 18:

The Fire Queen

Later into the night, the fire was out as smoke lightly billowed, and Pinkie Pie yawned and stirred in her sleep as the bushes behind her rustled once more.

"No, no, no…I don't want any-," Pinkie said in her sleep as she continues sleeping and snoring until her bark bed was dragged away.

Clearing the forest, Pinkie's bark-bed floated off into the field of tall grass as Pinkie stirred and turned. Later, Pinkie's bark-bed was still floating as it headed up a rocky hill.

"No, no, no, no," Pinkie said still in her sleep as she sucked her hoof like a baby. She could sleep through almost anything.

Later, Pinkie yawned and lifted her head up until her face hits a tree branch and shook it as she finally woke up. And the one thing she knew, she wasn't where she was supposed to be.

"Hey, wait a minute. Uh, can I help you?" Pinkie asked as she looks down under her bark-bed and saw a group of six Kirins carrying her bark-bed with their magic as they blinked in unison.

They continued on as more Kirins appeared and Pinkie looked around as she looked down and saw a group of Kirins bowing down to her, though one kept watching and saw the others as he quickly bowed down to her as well.

"Hmm, now that's what I called respect," Pinkie said as two Kirins lowered down on vines and placed a flower crown on her mane.

"Ooooh, nice crown," Pinkie said, looking back. She felt as though she was getting the Royal Treatment.

Soon, Pinkie looked ahead and gasped in awe seeing a rock formation that looked just like her.

"Somepony here likes Pinkie Pie," Pinkie said as the Kirins carried her towards it.

"Who is the decorator? This is fabulous," Pinkie Pie said.

As they got near the statue, the Kirins bent the bark piece and Pinkie slid off as she hits a rock. Then Pinkie looked up and saw a tall Kirin with a greenish mane and tail and a light grayish-green streaks standing above her holding two rocks in her magic.

"Fire Queen," She said.

"Huh?" Pinkie asked, being confused. No creature had ever actually called her that before.

Pinkie got up and took the rocks as the tall Kirin bowed and backed away. Pinkie looked back at the crowd of Kirins.

"Fire Queen?" She repeated, a little confused, but smiled, "Hmmm, well you know it's about to somepony recognize my true potential. Let there be…FIRE!" Pinkie announced as she scrapes the two rocks together causing an explosion of sparks.

And the sparks flew and hit a pile of branches and the flame traveled through a vine causing Pinkie to jump, "Yikes!". The flames burned through the vines traveling and lightening up as they surrounded the rock formation.

"Ooooooh," The Kirins said in awe.

Pinkie turned to them with a smile until she heard something sizzling and sniffed the air. When she looked down, Pinkie saw that her hoof is on a burning vine.

"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" Pinkie said, hopping on one hoof while holding the other with her front hooves. This was embarrassing. She was supposed to be the Fire Queen and she burned her own hoof. She should have better control than that.

"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" The Kirins echoed her as they held their own back hooves.

"Hey!" Pinkie said indignity, she thought they were mocking her.

"Hey, Hey, Hey, HEY!" The Kirins said, cheering.

Pinkie then started getting an idea, "Oohhh," She said, if the Kirins did everything she did then maybe, "Ho-Hoo! Ho-Hoo!" She hooted like a chimpanzee.

The Kirins appeared to have done the same as well and said, "Ho-Whoo! Ho-Whoo!".

Pinkie chuckled and realized they weren't making fun of her. She then did a chicken walk as she said, "Whacka, whacka, whacka, whacka,".

"Whacka, whacka, whacka, whacka, whacka, whack!" The Kirins said, doing that as well.

Pinkie then hooted again and the Kirins did that as well as they then bowed down to her and chanted and squealed. Pinkie clicked her tongue in a rhythmic tone and the Kirins did the same.

"Humina, Humina, Humina, Oh!" Pinkie said as she bounced around on her back and exhaled like a fish out of water.

"Humina, Humina, Humina, Oh!" The Kirins said, doing the same as well.

Then Pinkie began to vocalize a Bing-bong-bing-bong tune as the Kirins joined in and hooted the rhythmic tunes. They then started chanting as Pinkie was lifted up in the bark piece and they squealed as they continued, Pinkie was given a flower and she placed it in her mouth as the stomping continues. Pinkie was then in the air as the ritual continued, and some vines were tossed to her.

"If only my friends could see me now!" Pinkie cheered, this was the best night of her life, that is until…

Suddenly the vines were tightened as Pinkie gasped.

"Um, this is either really good or really bad?" Pinkie said, thinking her good night might've taken a nosedive.

Now tied up, Pinkie was escorted to the edge of a cliff and yelped as below her is a flaming pit of lava.

"Oh, no, no, no. Me Fire Queen. Why kill Fire Queen? A thousand years bad juju for killing Fire Queen," Pinkie warned.

"The superheated rock from our world's core is surging to the crust. Melting ice built up over a thousand years," The Tall Kirin said, holding a torch with her magic.

"Hmmm, I gotta admit, you Kirins are a very advanced race nowadays. But together, we could look for a solution to that problem," Pinkie said.

"We already have one: Sacrifice the Fire Queen," the tall Kirin said.

"Um, that doesn't sound very advanced," Pinkie commented with a frown.

"Worth a shot," The tall Kirin said as she gave the signal.

Two Kirins kicked the bark piece on some logs as Pinkie Pie rolled forward.

"Wait! No! No!" Pinkie said as she went over the edge and screamed while falling.

The Kirins cheered out and danced believing they were safe now.

Pinkie continues falling as the vine holding her came mostly loose and then parts of it got caught on a rock. Pinkie spun around as she nears the lava pit, and when she was extremely close to the lava pit, the tip of her mane touched the lava. And Pinkie was sprung upwards as she was tossed into the nose structure of the rock formation. Pinkie got up and saw that her mane is smoking as she started panicking and patting it out.

Meanwhile, outside, the Kirins continued cheering until they stopped and turned to the statue as it started to jostled, making them nervous.

"Bad Juju!" The Tall Kirin yelled.

The statute came tumbling down as the head came crashing down as the Kirins ran for their lives. The rock hits the ground and the nose piece with Pinkie in it came loose and bounced off with Pinkie yelping, "Ow! Ow, ow, ow, oh-hoo-hoo!". Pinkie continued rolling all the way back to the campsite, as her friends were completely unaware of her little unbelievable misadventure.

Author's Note: Looks like Pinkie Pie almost got the respect she deserved in her late night misadventure...

First, she finds herself being kidnapped by a band of Kirins, who appeared to call her their 'Fire Queen'. Next, Pinkie finds herself being worshiped by them, almost like she was a goddess to them. At least until the Kirins tied her up and then tossed her into a flaming tar pit, so their problem can be solved. Luckily for Pinkie, she managed to escape the flaming pit thanks to the vines and got back to the campsite by rolling in a rock nose.

But I have a feeling her friends are going to have a hard time believing her in the next chapter...
