Chapter 19:
Food Glorious Food!
It was now morning, Rainbow Dash was still sleeping on her cloud before she soon let out a whinny-like yawn and got up off her cloud and flew down to stretch her front legs and wings while everyone else was still sleeping. Then Rainbow Dash saw that her front hooves are in some water of a shallow river of water.
"Water? Water!" Rainbow Dash yelled, realizing this river wasn't here before as she jumped and landed on Twilight's back. It was an embarrassing situation for Rainbow but it would not be the worst of it.
Twilight suddenly woke up and got up as Rainbow Dash was thrown off and Twilight bumped into the tree and the jolt caused Flash, Starlight, and Trixie to wake up and then fell into the shallow river with a splash.
Starlight looked around as she was up to her knees in the water.
"Trixie, I thought I told you not to drink before bed," Starlight said to Trixie, who was sitting in the water.
"I didn't do this, Starlight. At least not all of it," Trixie said, getting up.
"Twilight, what's happening?" Flash asked as he, Starlight, and Trixie stepped out of the water.
"Looks like we must've overslept. We need to move, now," Twilight said, noticing how the sun was higher than normal.
"What if we were the last creatures left alive? We'll have to repopulate our world," Starlight asked, holding on to Trixie in worry.
"But how, Starlight? Every creature's either a mare or our brother," Trixie stated with a weird look on her face. Because there was no way they could repopulate Equestria with their small group.
"Oh, oh, hi. Hey, Twilight. Wow, what a night. You girls will never guess what happened to me," Pinkie said as everybody turned to see her walking out of the trees rather tiredly. Where had she come from? And why did she look so ragged?
"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you were sleepwalking," Rainbow Dash said, taking a guess.
"No, no, no, Rainbow Dash. I was actually kidnapped by a tribe of Kirins," Pinkie said, correcting her.
"That was gonna be my second guess," Rainbow Dash said rather sarcastically. She thought it must have been some nightmare.
"And they worshiped me. I mean I'm sure they may have thrown me into a flaming lava pit. But they worshiped me," Pinkie continued as she recalled the horrific event but was lucky she survived.
"Pinkie, you were probably just dreaming. Anyway, come on, the water's rising faster than we are moving," Twilight said as she started walking off.
"But I'm telling the truth. I was kidnapped! I was worshiped. And uh...Girls...Oh, fine," Pinkie tried to say as she gave in and sighed in defeat.
Later, The Unusual Mane 6 were walking in a canyon picking up the pace to make up for the lost time.
"Hey...Can...Can we slow down a little? I'm dying here," Pinkie said wheezing and lagging behind the others.
A screech was then heard, and Pinkie Pie noticed two Vulture Griffons perching on a tree as one landed and it looked hungry.
"It was just a figure of speech!" Pinkie said, perked up as she ran off to catch up with the others.
The band soon got to a large area where over a dozen Vulture Griffons were perching on the branches and staring at them as they stopped and Pinkie has caught up to her friends.
"They're just sitting there, watching us," Twilight said quietly. The situation was a little unnerving to say the least.
"I wish I knew what they were thinking," Pinkie said in the same tone.
One Vulture Griffon kept watching them and started singing…

Pinkie Pie ran from a Vulture Griffon flying behind her and then drops down as she was in a mud pit and was up to her head as she sinks. Rainbow Dash then appeared and stepped on a branch catapulting Pinkie Pie into the air.

A dead tree was knocked down landing on a cliff edge and the Unusual Mane 6 begin to cross it as the Vultures Griffons swooped by. Four Vulture Griffons then moved their wings and revealed the Unusual Mane 6 on a slab of rock sliding down a hill as they all screamed.

Two male Vulture Griffons flew by as the band carefully cross a narrow path with sharp rocks below. Twilight and Flash raised up with Starlight and Trixie, transformed into Flying Squirrels, in their aura as they were near a cliff edge with a lake below. Then the two Alicorns launched the two transformed Changelings into the air and a group of Vulture Griffons flew off as Trixie had a feather skirt and Starlight had a feathered crown.
A group of Vulture Griffons danced as Pinkie was strangely joining them.

Three Vulture Griffons stood on a rock pile, and then they took off as the rocks came tumbling down and Twilight ran. A rock then hits Twilight as she was tossed up onto the rock and rolled with it. Flash rolled by on a rock as they bumped into each other. Rainbow Dash was on a rock before she quickly leaps forward and lands on Twilight and Flash's backs. Pinkie screamed as a rolling rock was right behind her, but Twilight quickly grabs her and lifts her up with her magic.
Then suddenly Trixie and Starlight, transformed into bunnies, landed on Pinkie's head.
A Vulture Griffon kid was held up and sang excitedly…

As the last lyrics were sung, The Vulture Griffon Chick flew upwards as the Unusual Mane 6 came rolling by, and saw they were heading towards a cliff for they couldn't stop. Then the group went over it and fell.
The Vulture Griffons flew around and gathered at the cliff's edge, but then their excitement dropped. The Vulture Griffons watched as the Unusual Mane 6 was caught on a branch with Pinkie Pie holding onto Twilight's horn, Trixie and Starlight hanging on to Pinkie's tail, and Twilight and Rainbow Dash on Flash's back.
"There. Now you know what they were thinking, Pinkie," Twilight said, turning to Pinkie. It had been an 'oh so trying' experience.
Then a crack was heard as the branch snapped, and the Unusual Mane 6 dropped to the ground hard in a huge pile as they watched the Vulture Griffons flew off.
Author's Note: Looks like the Unusual Mane 6 have went on a musical montage adventure in this chapter.
After seeing they have overslept and after Pinkie Pie tried to explain to her friends what happened, the Unusual Mane 6 kept on moving to reach the boat in order to make up the time they have lost and to get further away from the rising water. Along the way, they entered Vulture Griffon Territory where the Vulture Griffons sang 'Food Glorious Food' and the Unusual Mane 6 still continued on their adventure to the boat such as crossing a log, walking along a narrow path, and even rolling on rocks.
Pinkie wished she knew what the Vulture Griffons were thinking and she got her answer.
And I have a feeling they're not gonna go through that again.
