After their journey in the Sinnoh region, Ash and Misty had formed a deep bond, their friendship growing stronger with each passing adventure. Their camaraderie was evident in their frequent high fives, a symbol of their shared triumphs and unbreakable spirit.
However, as they returned to Kanto, circumstances took a different turn. Misty's Buneary had been chosen as a model for Poké Chic magazine, and she decided to stay in Sinnoh to pursue this opportunity. Though Ash and Brock understood her decision, it didn't make saying goodbye any easier.
Misty saw Ash and Brock about to leave and her heart felt like she wanted to travel with Ash. Misty then got an idea to let Buneary be under her mother, Johanna who can take care of Buneary while she travels with Ash.
As Ash and Brock prepared to board the ship bound for Kanto, Misty's heart ached with the thought of parting ways with her dear friends. However, a sudden realization sparked within her, and she quickly formulated a plan that could allow her to continue her journey with Ash while still pursuing her dreams for Buneary.
A surge of excitement coursed through Misty's veins as she approached Ash and Brock, a determined gleam in her eyes. "Wait, guys!" she called out, her voice filled with newfound hope.
Ash turned to Misty, a mixture of surprise and anticipation on his face. "What's up, Misty?"
With a smile that held both excitement and longing, Misty explained her plan. "I've been thinking. My mom, Johanna, lives here in Twinleaf Town. She's an amazing Pokémon Coordinator, and she knows a lot about the fashion industry too. What if Buneary stays with her, helping out with the magazine and becoming a model, while I continue traveling with you?"
Brock's eyes widened in understanding. "That's a brilliant idea, Misty! It's the perfect opportunity for Buneary to follow its dreams while you pursue your own dream of becoming a Top Coordinator."
Ash's face lit up with a mix of joy and relief. "That sounds amazing, Misty! I'd love to have you back on the team. We can continue our journey together, and Buneary will be in good hands."
Misty's heart swelled with gratitude and excitement as her plan was met with enthusiasm. She knew that this decision would allow her to fulfill her dreams while still maintaining a strong connection with Buneary. She hugged her Pokémon tightly, promising to visit regularly and support its budding modeling career.
Misty then called her mother, Johanna, and spoke "I would be traveling to Kanto with Ash and Brock, could you please come to the port so that I can give Buneary to you and you would help Buneary become a model?"
As Misty bid a tearful farewell to Buneary, she reassured her Pokémon that this was the best choice for both of them. With a heavy but hopeful heart, she joined Ash and Brock, ready to embark on new adventures, challenges, and Pokémon Contests alongside her trusted friends.
Johanna smiled "Yes, anything for you."
Misty then spoke "Goodbye, mom!"
Johanna nodded "Goodbye to you, Misty."
Johanna, Misty's mother, was delighted to receive the call from her daughter. She understood the passion burning within Misty to become a Top Coordinator and was eager to support her dreams in any way she could. Johanna quickly made arrangements and headed to the port to reunite with Misty and take care of Buneary.
As Johanna arrived at the bustling port, Misty's eyes lit up with joy at the sight of her mother. She rushed forward and embraced her tightly. "Thank you, Mom," Misty whispered, her voice filled with gratitude. "I can't express how much it means to me that you're willing to help Buneary with its modeling career while I continue my journey with Ash."
Johanna returned the embrace, her smile radiating pride and warmth. "Of course, my dear. I'm here to support you in every way possible. Buneary will be in good hands, and I'll make sure it gets the best opportunities for its modeling aspirations."
With a bittersweet feeling lingering in the air, Misty carefully handed Buneary over to Johanna, who cradled the Pokémon with gentle care. She reassured Misty, "Don't worry, Misty. Buneary will be well looked after. We'll work together to make its dreams come true."
Misty nodded, a mixture of emotions coursing through her. She knew she had made the right decision, but it was still difficult to part ways with Buneary. She glanced at Ash and Brock, who stood beside her, their expressions filled with understanding and support.
Ash stepped forward, offering his own words of encouragement. "We'll miss Buneary, Misty, but we'll also be cheering for you every step of the way. Let's keep working towards our dreams together."
Brock chimed in, his voice filled with sincerity. "Misty, your journey as a Top Coordinator has only just begun. And don't worry, we'll make sure to send you updates about Buneary's modeling successes."
Misty smiled through her emotions, grateful for the unwavering support of her friends. With newfound determination, she took Ash's hand, the three of them forming a united front.
As the ship's departure time approached, Misty turned to Johanna, her gratitude pouring forth. "Thank you again, Mom. I couldn't have asked for a better mother and mentor. I'll make you happy."
Johanna beamed with happiness, her heart swelling with love for her daughter. "I'm already happy about you, Misty. Now, go and chase your dreams. Your Pokémon journey awaits."
With tearful yet determined eyes, Misty bid a heartfelt farewell to Buneary and Johanna, knowing that they would be reunited soon. She boarded the ship, her dreams of becoming a Top Coordinator burning brighter than ever before.
As the ship set sail towards Kanto, Misty, Ash, and Brock stood on the deck, their spirits intertwined with hope and determination.
Ash and Misty parted ways with Brock who was going to Pewter City to meet his family. Brock knew he was going to pursue becoming a doctor and so he was going on his path in life for becoming a Pokemon doctor.
The trio had been through countless adventures together, forming an unbreakable bond. Now, it was time for each of them to embark on their individual paths.
Misty turned to Brock, a mixture of pride and sadness in her eyes. "Brock, we're going to miss you so much. But we know that you're destined for greatness as a Pokémon doctor. Your compassion and knowledge will make a difference in the lives of Pokémon and trainers everywhere."
Brock smiled warmly at Misty, appreciating her words of encouragement. "Thank you, Misty. Your support means the world to me. I'm excited to delve into the world of medicine and contribute in my own way. And don't worry, I'll be there whenever you need advice or assistance with your Pokémon as well."
Ash chimed in, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. "Brock, you've been an amazing friend and mentor. Your guidance and expertise have helped us through so many tough battles. I have no doubt that you'll excel in your studies and make a real difference in the Pokémon world."
Feeling a mix of emotions, Brock nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Ash. You and Misty have been like family to me, and I'll always cherish the memories we've shared. Don't hesitate to reach out whenever you need anything. I'll be rooting for both of you in your journeys as well."
With one final group hug, the trio bid Brock farewell, promising to stay in touch and reunite in the future. As Brock headed toward Pewter City, Ash and Misty continued on their path to fulfill their dreams.
Ash asked Misty "I would most likely travel in the future to a region where there are no Pokemon Contests. I do wonder how you would pursue your goals if I travel to such a region so could you reveal what you would do?"
Ash smiled at Misty "We would go to Pallet Town where you could meet my mother, Delia, Professor Oak, and my Pokemons."
Ash's words brought a glimmer of excitement to Misty's eyes. The thought of visiting Pallet Town and meeting Ash's mother, Delia, along with the esteemed Professor Oak and Ash's beloved Pokémon, filled her with anticipation. She nodded eagerly, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm.
"That sounds amazing, Ash! I can't wait to meet your mother and Professor Oak. And, of course, your Pokémon! I've heard so much about them. It'll be wonderful to see the place where you grew up and learn more about your journey."
Ash grinned, the bond between them growing stronger with each passing adventure. "I'm really excited for you to meet everyone, Misty. My mom will be thrilled to have you visit, and Professor Oak has so much knowledge to share. And you'll definitely enjoy spending time with Pikachu and the rest of my Pokémon. They're like family to me."
As they continued their journey towards Pallet Town, Ash and Misty shared stories, laughing and reminiscing about their past adventures together. They discussed their dreams, goals, and the challenges they knew awaited them. Misty's determination to become a Top Coordinator burned brighter than ever, while Ash's desire to become a Pokémon Master grew stronger with each battle.
Upon arriving in Pallet Town, the air was filled with a sense of familiarity and warmth. Delia greeted Misty with open arms, her motherly nature making Misty feel instantly welcome. They exchanged stories and shared a meal, the cozy atmosphere enveloping them like a comforting embrace.
The next day, Ash led Misty to Professor Oak's lab, where they were met with a treasure trove of knowledge and Pokémon wonders. Misty marveled at the Professor's extensive collection, her curiosity piqued as he shared insights into Pokémon behavior, evolution, and training techniques.
Eager to showcase her skills as a Top Coordinator, Misty shared stories of her Pokémon's performances and her aspirations for the future. Professor Oak listened intently, offering guidance and encouragement. He commended Misty's dedication to training with all types of Pokémon, emphasizing the importance of understanding and appreciating their unique qualities.
Suddenly, Dawn, as aspiring Water Pokemon trainer who wants to become a Water Pokemon Master arrived who was carrying Azurill in her arms. Dawn looked at Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Piplup, and saw Misty gave loving smiles to Ash while her eyes were sparkling and that revealed her love for Ash and they were currently training Gible, with a cold look despite her loving Ash and interested in Piplup for being a Water type Pokemon, feeling like Ash replaced her place with Misty and could even make Misty his girlfriend which she did not want.
Dawn saw Misty who was very attractive even if she is not downright beautiful and was a girly girl with long red hair who had no issues with showing off her feminity unlike her who was in every aspect a tomboy.
Ash smiled at Dawn, not noticing her cold look, "Hi Dawn, this is my companion Misty and with her and Brock, I traveled in Sinnoh. Misty's dream is to be a Top Coordinator. Misty, she is Dawn and with her and Brock, I traveled in Kanto, then Brock left and with her and Tracey, I traveled Orange Islands, and and with her and Brock again, I traveled in Johto. Dawn is a Water Pokemon trainer who wants to become a Water Pokemon Master."
Dawn coldly spoke "Hi, I see you had a nice time in Sinnoh with Misty."
Misty noticed Dawn and went to her and then Dawn icily spoke "I see you are Misty. I came here to meet Ash as he returned to Kanto but I did not know he was traveling with you." with an emphasis on you as she did not like Misty one bit.
Dawn then went and pressed her lips on Ash's lips to show her love for him, and at that moment, Misty felt something she had not felt before, envy and she realized she should have made her move sooner. Ash then smiled at Dawn and Dawn placed her hand around Ash's shoulder.
As Dawn's icy demeanor pierced through Misty's heart, a mix of confusion, disappointment, and jealousy washed over her. She tried to brush off the coldness she felt from Dawn, reminding herself to stay focused on her own goals. Misty had always believed in supporting her friends and staying true to her own journey as a Top Coordinator.
Dawn smirked "Ash is my partner and I am not letting you interfere in our relationship."
Ash spoke out "I never proposed to you, Dawn, you kissed me suddenly and that does not mean that we have become partners."
As tensions escalated between Misty and Dawn, their conversation quickly devolved into a heated exchange of words. Misty's initial envy transformed into a determination to defend her friendship with Ash and protect the bond they had forged over their shared adventures.
Misty retorted, her voice laced with frustration, "Dawn, this isn't about interfering in your so-called 'relationship' with Ash. We've been friends and companions for a long time, supporting each other on our journeys. I won't stand by while you belittle our connection."
Dawn's eyes narrowed, her voice dripping with condescension. "Friendship? Please, Misty. You're just jealous because you think you can replace me as Ash's partner. But let me make it clear, Ash and I have a special bond. I'll be the one by his side as he becomes a Pokémon Master."
Misty's determination solidified, her eyes narrowing in response. "I'm not trying to replace anyone, Dawn because you are not in a relationship with Ash. And if you think you can belittle our friendship and claim Ash for yourself, then you're mistaken."
Their argument grew more intense, each of them asserting their worth. The clash of personalities and ambitions created a rift that seemed insurmountable.
Meanwhile, Ash stood between them, his expression torn between concern and frustration. He could feel the growing tension and the strain it put on his friendships. His loyalty to Misty, the girl who had been by his side through thick and thin, was unwavering.
In a moment of impulse, Ash took a step forward, his gaze locked with Misty's. He took her by the hand, his voice filled with sincerity. "Misty, you've always been there for me, supporting and pushing me to be a better trainer. I appreciate you more than words can express. You have been nice to me while Dawn had been abusive and even if Dawn might have changed, first impression matters because I do not now what will make Dawn to again be abusive to me. Also, even if Dawn has really changed and the first impression no longer matters, my bond with Dawn is weaker due to her previous actions than my bond with Misty and Dawn has taken no initiative to make the bond stronger. Let's be partners."
Misty smiled and nodded "Sure, Ash."
He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers, a bold declaration of his love and support.
The unexpected gesture silenced the argument, leaving Dawn stunned. It was a defining moment that changed the dynamics between the three coompanions. Ash's actions spoke volumes, affirming his choice and solidifying his bond with Misty.
With tears welling in her eyes, Misty pulled back, a mix of emotions coursing through her. She locked eyes with Ash, understanding the depth of his affection and the significance of his kiss. It was a symbol of their unbreakable connection and the strength of their friendship.
Dawn, feeling the weight of defeat, stepped back, her anger slowly subsiding. She realized that Ash's heart belonged to Misty and that their journey together had created a bond that couldn't be shaken.
Ash spoke softly but firmly, addressing both girls. "Misty is my friend and companion, and nothing will change that. Dawn, I appreciate our time together, but Misty has always been there for me, supporting my dreams and pushing me to be the best I can be. I hope we can all find a way to respect each other's dreams and move forward."
With the air cleared and emotions laid bare, Misty and Dawn exchanged one final glance. It was clear that their paths would now diverge, their rivalry transformed into animosity. As Dawn walked away, Misty held Ash's hand tightly, feeling a renewed sense of purpose and determination.
As Dawn ran away in tears, Misty's heart went out to her, understanding the pain of unrequited feelings. She didn't take joy in Dawn's sorrow; instead, she hoped that Dawn would find her own path to happiness and fulfillment.
Ash turned to Misty, his eyes filled with concern. "Are you okay, Misty?"
Misty smiled, her grip on Ash's hand tightening. "I'm alright, Ash. It's just a complicated situation. But what matters is that we're here together, supporting each other."
Ash nodded, his expression filled with determination. "You're right, Misty. We'll continue to pursue our dreams and face the challenges ahead. And no matter what happens, our bond will remain unbreakable."
Gary then walked to them and spoke "Ash, looks like you broke Dawn's heart and made Misty your significant other."
Gary's unexpected comment caught Ash, Misty, and even Dawn off guard. Misty exchanged a puzzled glance with Ash, unsure of how to respond.
Ash composed himself and turned to Gary, a hint of confusion in his voice. "Gary, it's not about breaking anyone's heart. Misty and I have always had a strong bond as friends, and our feelings for each other have grown over time. As for Dawn, she's a talented trainer with her own dreams to pursue."
Gary nodded, seemingly satisfied with Ash's response. "Well, if you're both happy, that's what matters. Just remember, relationships can be challenging, but as long as you support each other, you'll overcome any obstacles."
Misty's heart swelled with gratitude for Gary's understanding. She had always admired his wisdom and experience as a seasoned trainer. His words reassured her, reminding her of the importance of communication and mutual support in a relationship.
With a newfound sense of clarity, Misty looked at Ash, her voice filled with determination. "Ash, let's continue to support each other on our respective paths. Your dream of becoming a Pokémon Master and my goal of becoming a Top Coordinator can coexist. Together, we can overcome any challenges that come our way."
Ash's face lit up with a smile, his eyes reflecting his unwavering support. "Absolutely, Misty. We're a team, and we'll always be there for each other. Our dreams may be different, but our friendship and love will remain strong."
Professor Oak then walked to Ash, Misty, and Gary and remarked "Ah, young love! Ash has found his partner in my ranch for Pokemons. Who would have thought that while training Gible, Ash would find his love?"
Professor Oak's remark caught everyone's attention, bringing a mix of surprise and amusement to the group. Ash scratched his head, blushing slightly. "Well, Professor, love has a way of finding us when we least expect it."
Misty chuckled, the tension from earlier dissipating. "It seems like destiny had its own plans for us, Ash. Our friendship has blossomed into something more, and I couldn't be happier."
Gary grinned, teasingly nudging Ash's shoulder. "Looks like you've found your perfect partner, Ash. Misty's spirit and dedication will complement your journey as a Pokémon Trainer."
Ash nodded, his eyes filled with affection for Misty. "Absolutely, Gary. Misty's determination and talent as a Coordinator inspire me to push my limits as a Trainer. We make an amazing team."
Professor Oak joined in the light-hearted banter, his eyes twinkling with joy. "Love and friendship are powerful bonds that can enhance our Pokémon journeys. Misty, I have no doubt that your dream of becoming a Top Coordinator will flourish with Ash by your side."
Misty beamed at the professor's words, feeling a renewed sense of purpose. "Thank you, Professor Oak. Your belief in us means a lot. We'll continue to strive for greatness in our own unique ways."
Delia came to watch her son, Ash, train and noticed Ash and Misty holding hands and she smiled "My young boy has finally found someone who would love him as a partner."
Delia's warm smile washed over the group, her maternal instincts sensing the deep connection between Ash and Misty. She walked over to them, her eyes brimming with happiness and affection. "It warms my heart to see you both together, supporting each other in your dreams. Misty, welcome to our family."
Misty blushed, feeling a surge of gratitude for Delia's acceptance. "Thank you, Delia. Your support means a lot to me. I promise to take care of Ash and continue to grow as a Trainer and Coordinator."
Delia pulled both Ash and Misty into a tight embrace, her voice filled with love and encouragement. "I have no doubt that both of you will achieve great things. Remember, love and friendship are powerful sources of strength on your journey."
