Summer is not my best season when it comes to writing fanfics or stories in general. But am hoping to do so and try my best to break out of the funl. The next story I will try and update next will probably be Pokemon World adventures, to then Different Tale of Ash Ketchum.

Chapter 2: The mystery of the Viridian gym.
It took a couple of days to get everything settled and set for their adventure ever since Robbie got her Pokemon Ralts. And after her fight with Garcy and losing to her, it just piled up on the problems as people like Robbie figured, were starting to try and cheer her up or feeling pity for her and it annoyed her greatly. Yeah sure, she needs a support system…but she doesn't need a town of strangers that she doesn't know personally, trying to make her feel good and such. It's part of being a trainer, you win some and lose some battles and she and Garcy just started out.
Not only that but Garcy took advantage and knew that Ralts at early experience, aren't fit much for battles and the likes. Thus, to make things worse and more frustrated with the smug rival. She took that chance to try and make Robbie feel even worse for herself and feel pity for her Pokemon. But no, Robbie wouldn't fall for that and made sure to have all that happen be in the past. Robbie took the time to help and train Ralts for those two days, so that she will be able to gain some experience and battle experience, so that when they start heading out to Route 1 and reach Viridian city. They will be prepared and ready to defend themselves and take on any wild Gijinka in the area.
It was quite the peaceful trip as they traveled through Route 1 of the Kanto region. Battling and challenging some of the wild Gijinka in the area, meeting some trainers and passerbyers, to even getting some free Potions from a traveling merchant they ran into who was promoting items from the Pokemart and was giving them out to any trainers he saw coming from Pallet town. They even spotted some children along the road who saw Ralts and immediately ran up to Robbie, asking if they could play with her Gijinka, having the girl be silent for awhile and shifted her gaze towards the right and back to the children, then steps back when she even saw Ralts joining with the kids with those bubbly eyes.
This had her sighing and sweat dropping, laughing out how they can only for a while and cheering. She went ahead and found a bench nearby to sit at and rested and watched the children playing with Ralts. Who was giggling and laughing, using her psychic powers to lift and have the children be flying in the air and such. Making Robbie to tilt her head at what was transpiring in front of her, never knowing Ralts had that kind of strength? Let alone being creative with how she was using her skills too. Robbie went and grabbed her Pokedex and aimed it at Ralts.
"Ralts- the empathy Pokemon, Psychic/Fairy type: Ralts can sense the feelings and emotions around them by the red horn or ribbon on their head. They will react accordingly to said emotions, positive and negative emotions can dictate if the person will be approachable or not. They are seen around Gardevoir's and Kirlias, being protected by them or being watched over. They are very friendly towards children and will sometimes be seen in the mixture of young children just to play with them.
Informed the Gijinka pokedex having Robbie letting out a low hummed and placed the Pokedex back and sees the children and Ralts continuing to play. Though she doesn't want to ruin their fun, they do need to get going. Which had the children whining but happily waved and told Ralts if they ever see each other again, they should definitely play and had the Gijinka laughing while shouting back.
"By the time I do get back, I will be a Gardevoir!" Ralts called out, getting the children to go into giggling fits and began running off to meet their parents. Ralts then ran to Robbie and smiled up to the girl; reaching only about abs height to the girl. "That was fun! How come you didn't want to play with them?" Ralts asked and saw Robbie just staring down at her and then looked away. Softly mumbling out.
"I…don't think adults should be playing with kids…" Robbie stated and had Ralts whining lightly, as she can feel or sense that Robbie really did want to play. But she is right, a 19 year old playing with young children might look weird or scream out stranger danger to the parents. "Let's go…" Robbie sighed and began moving and Ralts walked next to her with a nod and happily grabbed onto Robbie's hand, making the girl stare down and blushed lightly as Ralts cutely smiled up at her.
"You look sad, so I am holding your hand so you won't feel sad. Ralts said having Robbie blush at the adorableness of the action and chuckles softly with a very small smile. "Anyway, what should we do when we get to Viridian city? We are going to fight at the gym there!" She asked excitedly then pouted when Robbie shook her head and poked her nose cutely.
"Silly, you can't fight the gyms at your current strength. And besides," Then snickers. "That gym is the eighth gym, not the first. We would be heading into a Beedrills nest if I had you fighting at a very high level and experienced Gijinka who could murder you." Stated Robbie, having Ralts eyes shrink and becoming paler and began laughing lightly and faced forward with a sweat drop.
"Ehehe ye…yeah that would probably not be the best." Then clears her throat and happily swings Robbie's arms forward and back as they are traveling through the open fields of Route 1, with forests and mountains in the far distance to their left and right side, walking down the yellow dirt path and being mindful where they are stepping or might be entering. "What about catching Gijinka? Are we going to get friends along the way?"
"Oh definitely, I just want to try and find ones that will be good for us." Robbie informed Ralts, while looking around the fields and seeing if they could spot any. "Problem is that most of the Gijinka here are good for beginners and such. But…not a good variety, especially if the Pewter city gym has Rock types and such." She said and saw some Gijinka flying overhead, which wouldn't be bad having flying Pokemon…but again. They were mostly good for beginners, Pidgey, Spearow, Tailow…though a good option in her opinion, and some Pidove and Starlys.
The girl looked to the fields and blinked her eyes at the sight of what looked to be a Snetret Gijinka happily running through the tall grass, disappearing and then popping upwards with her raccoon tail shouting, "Peek-a-boo!" then giggles after going back into the grass and continues following the two, then popping up again shouting, "Peek-a-boo!" then goes back into the grass giggling once more. Having Robbie shake her head and look forward, then the two had to stop- when a slakoth Gijinka just suddenly plopped right in the middle of the road, yawning out.
"..." Then smacked his lips, then looking towards the two of them as Robbie and Ralts look back, then followed his movements when he gave a slow like wave, then began sitting upwards and hopping onto his feet and then began moving very slowly across the road, giving out another yawn, then slowly starting slouching down then crawling on hands and knees, then curled into a ball and fell asleep right in front of them.
Having the two girls just stare and then walk around him, saying their goodbyes to him. Which he raised a hand and plops it back down under his chin. Robbie and Ralts just laughed softly and continued their way to Viridian city, as it wasn't too far now. "So, if you're looking for a certain Gijinka? Who will they be?" Ralts suddenly asked, as they were about thirty minutes away from town, as Robbie looked up in thought and staring towards the sky.
"Hmm, guess we will know when we know." Robbie said and looked back to Ralts, who hummed and tilted her head seemingly not understanding the answer. Making Robbie to shake her shoulders, "Don't worry, usually trainers know who will be good or not for their team. So, leave the Gijinka decision to me, okay?" Robbie then rubbed Ralts hair roughly, getting her to giggle and laugh, she then beamed up to Robbie and nodded her head. "Anyway," then manages to pull her hand away from Ralts. Watching the female Pokemon hum, "When we get to the city, we should head to the Pokemonc center and ask around. See what Pokemon are in the area before we continue our journey, then rest up and wait till tomorrow to tackle Viridian forest."
"How come?"
Then Ralts had a slight purple face as Robbie looked at her and smirked, "If we enter the forest at night. We won't be able to see where we're going and might end up in Aridoses spiderwebs and such, and I do not want to be cocooned or webbed by icky spiders." Which had Ralts agreeing and nodding her head.
"Very good point…and I am still weak to bug types too. So best we definitely do it in the morning." Ralts giggled out and happily began running forward and smiling widely at the sight of the large and spacious city of Viridian city! Tall buildings could be seen near the center of the town. Hotels and buildings leading to the route towards Victory road, school yards and buildings on the north=east of the city. Water fountains scattered here and there on the roads and streets, sidewalks. Signs and posts here and there, followed by street lights. Robbie laughed as she saw her Pokemoon taking in the sights, even laughing and jumping when some of the cars honked their horns or drove on by them. Making the girl follow them from the sidewalk for a moment and then back to Robbie, as she then saw some of the artists out in the open, painting and drawing on their art utensils. Looking for inspiration and muse to get started on their next masterpiece.
Ralts approached one of them, having Robbie to walk close by so she wouldn't bother them and saw a young man, looking to be struggling and trying to find a good portrait to take for his next piece. "Hmm…"
"What's wrong?" Ralts suddenly asked after approaching next to him, having the young man sigh and scratch the side of his cheek, holding his pants on his right hand and the brush on his left. With his Smeargle Gijinka, just standing there and swinging his tail lazily. He turned to Ralts and answered her question.
"He's been trying to think of a new art piece, but nothing is coming and having the worst writers block ever." Smeargle said and sighs. "Honestly, it's starting to get stressful. Especially since the next deadline is in a week or two. So we're kind of pressed for time."
The artist sighed once more and grabbed his hat, "And right now- the theme for the project is capturing a beginner's beauty of exploring the town." The young man said as he adjusted his white painters like overalls and faces Ralts. "Oh hello there, haven't seen you around these parts. Are you new here?" He asked with a sweet voice and smiled down at Ralts, who giggled and nodded her head.
"Yup! Just arrived here with my trainer!" Ralts said and saw the young man smiling and laughing. "We are traveling and challenging the Gym league! Right now, we're going to ask for any help on finding some cool or interesting Gijinka in the area."
"I see!" The man laughed and stood upright, adjusting his artist hat with a big grin. "Well then you and your trainer came to the right person. Smeargle and I have discovered some interesting Pokemon near the route of Victory road." He said and then bent down after resting his art pieces onto the chair behind him, "I heard there were sightings of interesting Pokemon, especially Rock type Pokemon." Then spread his arms after standing upright. "Which you rarely see around these parts, even at the route."
"Really!?" Ralts exclaimed with a wide=eyed happy expression, then turned and called out to her trainer., "Robbie, Robbie, this man says there are Rock type Pokemon near Victory road!" Ralts called out, having the blue-haired girl who was looking at a map of the town turn her head away from the poster and hummed. Then began walking on over to Ralts, "Is it normal for Rock types to be in the area around Victory road?"
The man corrected himself, "Well, the entrance of victory road. Route 23 that has been sightings of Rock type Pokemon." He said and then blinked his eyes at the girl, who hummed and looked back at Ralts and said.
"Well then no, rarely do you see sightings of Rock Gijinka at route 23, or least the entrance part?" Robbie then hummed. "Middle of route 23 yeah, why?" She asked and then yelped as Ralts grabbed onto her hand and shook them up and down.
"Then we have to go and check it out! We could find somebody cool there or a Pokemon that will be good for our team!" Giggled the Gijinka as she lets go of Robbie's hand, watching the girl adjust her hat when it slid down her forehead and chuckled.
Adjusting her pink sleeveless shirt and dusting herself off. "Alright give me a sec, I need to figure out where the center is first." She said and pulled out a guide from her bag and was about to read it when it was halfway up her chest."
"HOLD IT!" The young man suddenly shouted, having Robbie whip her head up at him and then saw him approach her very closely, making her get nervous and ready to scream foul play. But blinked her eyes in confusion as he then began putting his hands in a filming like fashion, or framing something. "Hmm…yes…yes." Then approached her and went behind the girl. Who hummed and then felt his hand which he quickly asked permission- and she hum sure and felt his hands gently touch her face from behind had her looking down at theguide. Then moves to herright and gently pulls her a little away from the art stand, and in front of one of the water fountains.
Then steps in front of Robbie and tilted his head and hummed, watching the girl stare at him, then felt him tilting her head down and then grabbed the arm with the guide and raised it ever slightly to and near her chest. Then lightly flick the hat binder upwards, and take a couple steps back. This had Ralts and Smeargle widening their eyes and smiling brightly at the sight before them. "PERFECT! Stay as still as possible!" The young man said and quickly ran over to his art supplies and quickly got to work. Having Robbie to blink her eyes as she did as instructed and whine on the inside of why does she need to do this? As well, how long does she have to stay like this?
After like thirty minutes of waiting and starting to get tired from standing, the girl gently tugged her shirt and cleared her throat and was ready to break. Only to then hear him shout, "DONE! MASTERPIECE!" Said the man and had Ralts letting out a incredible long whoa, with Smeargle nodding his head and clapping his hand.
"Oh wow this is the best one yet! Are you a model or something?" Smeargle asked Robbie who blinked her eyes and began walking over wanting to see the painting, and nearly felt her eyes widening at the sight and blushing. As the young man smiled.
"What do you think? Captured your curiosity greatly, the way the fountain glistened with your skin, the sun reflecting your violet eyes, your outfit blowing with the soft breeze. Your hair matches that of the blue sky." Then kisses his fingers. "Magnific! It was beautiful and I am really glad you came along!" The man said and could see the impressed look on Robbie's face, who definitely looked impressed but wasn't saying anything nor looking like she could speak. "Heh, you are quite the model. Ever think of becoming one?" He asked.
She shook her head and stepped away and waved her hands, "No, no, mp/O O cam\t, or…at least I…uh, don't have that kind of confidence." Robbie said quietly and softly while looking down. Then smiled softly when Ralts grinded and said.
"Well then let's make it your second option master! This way in case your Pokemon trainer career doesn't go well, we have something to back up on." She said and swayed her body and then turned to the young man. "Anyway! You made her very pretty! Thank you!"
"Haha, you're very much welcome. If you have a Rotom phone, I can send you an update and tell you how things go." Then they said their goodbyes as he packed up, Smeargle doing the same and began heading to the art institute. With Robbie and Ralts waving goodbye to them and they too, headed on their way and walking towards the Pokemon center.

Once inside and clearing her head and finding a spot to sit at, the girl went ahead and leaned back onto the sofa and sighed. "Well that was quite interesting, I wasn't expecting to become a muse and model for someone." She said out loud while then leaned her head towards the counter of the center, knowing Ralts is in good hands with Nurse Joy. Then leans back and facing the ceiling, going over everything that just happened for the few days. "Ralts should be good enough to handle the viridian forest, as well probably look for whatever Rock type Pokemon, near route 23." She continued speaking to herself and began stretching her arms over her head and then hummed when something caught her ear.
"Hey, have you heard about the rumors?" A young girl said to a young boy, who shook his head. "They said there's been weird noises and sightings around the Gym here." Said the young girl, having the boy widen his eyes and then have Robbie turn to face the two and listen in on their conversation.
"Wait, are you talking about the Gym that nobody knows who runs it? Or the person who always seems to be gone and never accepting challengers?"
"Yeah!" The girl threw her hands into the air. "People have been saying that the gym leader, maybe coming back in the middle of the night and doing weird things in there." To then move her hands close to the side of her lips. "Or even that some Gijinkas may have snuck in and broken into the gym- since it's always abandoned and such."
"That is crazy…have there been sightings?" The boy asked, then deadpanned, when the young girl chuckled and shook her head sheepishly. "Then what's the point of telling me this? If nobody actually saw the Gijinka sneaking in!"
"NOT MY FAULT!" The girl yelled, "It's always at night when it happens, I would prove it but." Then sighed, "I go to bed at eight."
"Ah…yeah…man why do grown ups get all the fun." The young boy said, having Robbie chuckled lightly and faced forward and hummed. Wondering if there have been any sightings or people actually seeing this so-called "Gijinka" entering the building?
"Robbie, your Ralts are all healed up!" Joy called out and had Robbie standing up from the couch and approaching the counter. "The sweet dear is healthy and doing just fine. If you need any assistance just let us know."
"Thanks, but there is one?" Robbie suddenly said and took the Pokeball and clipped it to her bag. Having Joy hummed. "I heard those kids talking," She thumbed behind her and looked at Joy. "They said there are possible rumors of Gijinka sneaking into the Gym here?" She asked Joy, letting out a curious humming and looking up in thought, having her green eyes blink a couple of times. "I was curious because if there is a Gijinka breaking into the gym. Then somebody would need to stop it."
"Well…" Joy then looks to Robbie, "I don't know about sightings, but considering the Center is near and close a couple blocks from the gym. I do hear weird sounds going on there." Then I thought, "Oh!" Then openly pound her fist into her open hand. "I do have security cameras around the center. They should be facing the gym." She said and then looked at Robbie. "Will you want to see them," then laughed. "Cause you're the first person to show interest, and it's getting a little annoying having lights be turned on and off at the gym." Waking me up and causing a slight outage for the Pokemon center."
Robbie thought it over and wasn't really too interested in the details or the Gijinka sneaking in. but if the Pokemon is causing electrical problems to the Center, then someone needs to stop them. "What about Jenny, have you shown her?" Robbie asked the whale, laughing. "That and we just met…why would you trust a stranger?"
"Yeah I told Jenny and she gets calls too- so no reason to show her the footage." Then raised a hand, "Because-" then giggled.
"Right the power going out, the footage will be erased." Robbie finishes by seeing Joy nodding her head and then calls out to Chansey, to watch over the counter as she then opens a doorway for Robbie to walk through.
"Plus, she's already busy with her job. I don't want to intrude on her patrol." She told Robbie as the two of them went to the back, as Chansey came over and took her station. When Robbie and the nurse went into the back, the nurse immediately went to work moving and placing things around to look at the footage of last night. As she found the tape and slid it into the VHS
"Why don't you have a DVD player? Everyone has those nowadays." Robbie asked and saw Joy chuckle lightly.
"Eheheh, yeah- considering our fees are free for healing Pokemon and such. But the restaurant is part of the Pokemon center. We don't generally get a lot of money, even from the official Pokemon committee. So, we're mostly stuck with CCTV film and recordings." Joy said and turned the TV on to check out the footage and fast forward to when it begins.
"12: 30 am…" Robbie repeated and carefully watched the footage as she rested a hand up to her chin and adjusted her weight. Not noticing anything in particular, besides the city lights in the distance, some of the fountains nearby to the west side of the footage. To the forest on the right, the Pokemon gym is in great view in the center of the footage. "Oh?" She suddenly spoke as she saw the lights being turned on and off just like Joy said. Followed by what sounded like weird noises coming from the gym as well. Then….flash of light happened and the lights and power goes out around the area, however the recording still going-
"Generator." Joy quickly said as Robbie nodded in understanding, but both widened their eyes and got close to the tv. When they spotted something odd going into the gym during that time. "Whoa wait!" Joy quickly rewind the footage and then paused it. Right on the timing of something going inside the door and entrance of the gym. "Did not see that when I last checked"
Robbie then grabs her Pokedex and points it to the tV, wondering if it could scan the Gijinka through a screen or not?. "Rockruff- the rock dog Gijinka. These curious creatures are intelligent and can sniff out anything and everything around them. They usually live around towns and cities, to nearby mountain sides- when they get hungry or want to visit humans. They venture down mountains and enter cities, hoping for a meal or possibly find someone to be partners with or stay with them. They are quite loyal and will do anything to make their trainers and partners happy." Informed the Gijinka Pokedex.
"Rockruff huh?" Joy said and faced the screen. "Well, at least we know who's been sneaking into the gym." She then continues the footage and both then blinks their eyes as they see another blob entering the gym. "Wait who's that?" She squinted her eyes and could not detail them at all, especially since they were wearing all black.
"Don't know," Robbie said softly while crossing her arms. "But, this is definitely something to warn Jenny about." Stated the blue hair girl, having Joy nodding her head and then thanking Robbie for assisting. "Sure, anyway I need to get going. Been a long day for me." She said and Joy happily smiled and handed her a key, whichRobbie thanked her and headed out to the main lobby. Waving goodbye to Chancey who happily waves back as Robbie went ahead and found a dorm room to sleep in.

Later that night…
The girl groaned and grumbled lightly in her sleep, as she had fallen asleep soon after getting Dinner alongside Ralts- the two of them then got changed and dressed into their night clothes and fell immediately asleep once they hit bed. Now…something loud and obnoxious was causing noises and waking the two up from their sleep. This had Robbie glaring straight towards the ceiling as her violet eyes then moved to the alarm clock and saw the time.
"12: 30 am…" Robbie then saw the alarm clock getting turned off- as the power went out in the center, followed by the emergency generators kicking in. Having the girl groan slightly and close her eyes, the generator wasn't strong enough to keep the A/C going for the room and she cannot sleep without cool air. Especially in the summer heart, "Ralts," she then turned to the Gijinka who was sleeping or was trying to sleep soundly. "Ralts wake up," Robbie said and shook the girl.
"Huh…what?" Rlats mumbled out while raising her body upwards and shook her head, yawning. "What time is it?" She asked and looked at Robbie who hopped out of bed and began changing into her travel clothes. "Are we traveling in the middle of the night?" she asked and then rolled off the bed and landed on her feet, as Robbie shook her head and sighed out.
"No, but I am not sleeping with no A/C" Then puts her hat on and faces Ralts who got her gijinka outfit back on. "Seems like we're going to be investigating those rumors that are now true, and see what we can do about this Rockruff." This had Ralts blinking her eyes after getting her panties on and slipping her dress over her body.
"Rockruff?" She asked and pulled her head through, then giggled as Robbie came over and adjusted her dress, sleeves and then fixing her hair. "Why would a Rockruff be inside a Gym?" She asked curiously while tilting her head and seeing Robbie pull away and get her shoes on. "Think, she's looking for food?"
"Well considering what the Gijinka dex said, when it scanned her from the Tv. They usually come down from the mountain side, to search and look for food." Robbie said between grunts and huffs after getting her shoes on and tapping them onto the floor. "So, we're going to go and see what and why she goes in there. While also, what's triggering those outages too." Then smiled very weakly to Ralts who walked over and was ready to get going. "Let's go out the window."
"..." Rlats just stood silent and looked to the window, then turned to the bedroom door. While then looking confusedly towards Robbie as the girl just points to the door and whispers Joy's name. "AH!" Then close her mouth for almost being loud, "ah, she would stop us if we tried sneaking out of the center in the middle of the night."
"Yeah, despite the fact that I'm 19 years old. She would still make excuses about me not staying up late and the likes." The blue hair girl informed, while moving towards the window and opening it up. "So, we're going to make a direct approach to our exit and use the window." She then hops onto the windowsill and leaps down to the ground, then standing up. "Alright Ralts, come on."
The girls then laugh softly as Ralts cutely gets herself onto the windowsill, crawling over it and then sitting upright, as she giggled and then stretched her arms wanting to be caught. Making Robbie stand there, then rolled her eyes lightly and extended both arms outward, then grunted when Ralts leapt into her arms and snuggled lightly into her chest as Robbie staggered back, then looked down at her. Then chuckled and placed her down gently on the ground, then the two began running towards the direction of where the gym building will be.
When the two of them got there and were as quiet as possible, walking closer to the Gym building, while hiding behind other building walls and peaked around the corner. "So, if we know its Rockruff, why are we hiding?" Ralts asks and then gets her answer when someone else comes, and sees Robbie pointing her finger forward.
"That's why, the footage I saw with Joy, had another person entering right as Rockruff enters." The young girl said and then glared softly as she noticed a giant R on their black shirt. "What with the R?" Robbie said softly, as Ralts just shrugged her arms as she wasn't sure. But they were entering the building quite easily. Once the person entered Ralts and Robbie immediately ran around the corner and headed to the entrance.
Then they came to a stop where they saw what looked to be a keypad device. "...hmm." Then looks to the ground, seeing what would look like a tunnel, something Rockruffs can do using Dig for and entering in the building from the outside. "Looks like Rockruff uses a dig to get inside." Ralts mentions and then places her face against the window door. "And there's a giant hole on the inside too- so that's how she gets in."
"But it doesn't answer how our buddy gets in, without a keycard." The trainer then looked around and saw if there was anything hanging…but that would be dumb. Since that is literally asking for anyone to enter without permission. If the keycards were outside. "Well duh sherlock," Robbie told herself as Ralts looked at her, then giggled when the girl shook her head. "Something dumb like a key out in the open." She said and then hummed. "Come on, let's see if there's a back entrance to this building." She said and began walking towards the back of the building.
There they saw another door, this time without a keycard, though getting in will be a problem especially if it was locked. The two approached the door and just stared at it, then towards the side windows a couple distance above the ground. "Ralts, think you could enter that window?" Robbie asked as the Gijinka looked at it and nodded her head with a smile.
"YEAH! Just let me open it!" Then walks over to the window and has her eyes glowing purple, using her psychic powers to have the locks within the inside- turn and flip to unlock them and then starts sliding the window open, then giggles seeing it worked and gives a two victory salute to Robbie. Who smiled back at her and approaches the Gijinka, grabbing her from the underarms- then had her lifted up high she could- where Ralts grabbed onto the window edges and crawls on through, being very mindful of her falling, as she got inside and let out a squeak- followed by a loud thump.
"Ralts you alright?" Robbie called out through the door and heard the girl groaning and letting out a small whiny yes. "Try to be careful okay, must be pitch black in there." Robbie continued and then looked to the door- seeing the knob turned and a lock clicking, to then out comes a dizzy Ralts.
"Aye-aye captain…would you like some squash with those melons ugh." Ralts said, all the while collapsed to the floor, but was caught by Robbie at the last second. In which Ralts shook out of her dizziness and thanked the girl as she got her back to her feet. "So, there was some interesting stuff in here. But I can't make heads or tails of what they were?" Informed the Gijinka. Having Robbie look at her for a moment and then towards the open door.
Once they headed dinside and closed the door behind them, Robbie went ahead and grabbed a flashlight from her bag and turned it on. The room looked to be a regular old fashion storage room, with boxes, crates, and other things that were usually stored into these types of rooms. Even some glass jars here and there with nothing in them. The two looked around for a while and checked every corner of the room from the doorway, noticing your typical white and gray color walls and ceiling. The floor being red tilesets in rows of fours, white shelves containing miscellaneous items here and there nothing special.
"Hmm, seems normal here." Robbie said and then nudged her head for Ralts to follow her as they went and began walking through the moderate size storage room and finding the door on the other end, where it will lead inside the building. "We should be careful though, despite us investigating we are technically breaking and entering."
"I know…but so is the Gijinka and that person who entered here too. I don't think it would be good if the Gijinka suddenly gets into trouble just for finding food and such." Ralts said being close to Robbie as they approached the door leading into the main building probably, as Robbie went ahead and turned off the flashlight. Then starts gently touching the doorknob, sticking her tongue out as she carefully twists and turns the knob. When it clicked she opened the door gently forward and both of them, peaked their heads inside and saw that they were now in clean and maintained looking halls. The two went ahead and stepped out into the halls, silently closing the door behind them and began looking around the halls.
They notice some doors here and there, but nothing seems to stand out for them let alone unable to see all that well. Considering how dark it is inside the building. They then froze and hummed when they heard weird noises coming from their right. Making them face that direction and blinking their eyes. It sounded like cracks? But not any cracks they ever heard of, "I have a bad feeling…" Ralts suddenly said, feeling a bit nervous and scared. Causing Robbie to look at her and then shift her gaze towards the hall where the sounds are coming from. Curious if Ralts was picking up Rockruff's emotions?
"Come on, if that person is doing something to Rockruff, we need to go and stop it." Robbie said to Ralts, as they went down the hall where the cracks could be heard. Having the two on edge of what was going on, along with hoping whatever is happening to Rockruff wasn't true. It took them about twenty minutes to discern and listen for the cracks and when they got closer they heard yelps and whines echoing as well. Increase the two speeds, as they figured something was definitely not right!
The two literally had to slide themselves to a stop, when they went past a slightly ajar door that was open. Robbie quickly grabbed the edge of the wall and then grabbed Ralts- stopping her from going past and hugged her close. Both of which grunted out but smiled softly to one another. Then lifted their heads as they heard the noises again and this time, a voice. "Damn it you little brat, how many times do we have to go through this lesson!" Shouted the rough and gruntled voice of a male, as they heard another crack and followed by another yelp. "Get it right next time and use fucking Rock throw!"
"Seems like whoever is there is trying to force Rockruff to learn Rock throw." Ralts whispered out, as the two of them creep over towards the opened door and look inside, with Robbie softly and gently opens the door a little bit more- spotting the man they saw from outside and that black garb of his- with the giant R in the middle of the shirt. Raising up a whip and swinging it down towards the Gijinka near the wall. Yelping out and squealing out from pain when the whip struck her, having her shaking and trembling badly from the injuries and treatment they were getting. The Gijinka brown ears shook and trembled lightly, her brown skin slightly covered in bruises, wearing a white sleeve shirt that exposes the stomach, while wearing blue booty short jeans, with her white tail flinching.
"Now one more time!" The weird man began saying while raising up his whip. "Use Rock throw!" To then ready to swing the whip right down towards Rockruff, who squeaked and covered her eyes waiting for the pain to come- only for it to ever come? Making her to slowly open her eyes and then widen them when she saw the whip was levitating a few inches from her with a blue glowing aura surrounding it.
"I don't think so! I think you had enough of torturing the girl!" A female voice, having Rockruff to let out a low huh and turned her direction towards the doorway. Seeing a blue-haired girl and her Ralts Gijinka partner standing at the doorway, with Ralts throwing the whip back to the man- smacking him across the chest and causing him to stagger back. "I don't know what or really care what kind of plans you have for her- but I won't stand by and let someone bully an innocent Gijinka like that!" She growled out.
The Black skin man shook his head and flexed out his limbs, to ease out the pain and glares towards the girl. "Who the hell are you, and let alone how the hell did you even get in here!?" He demanded and blinked his eyes as Robbie and Ralts stood there and then looked at each other, then back to him. "...Back door?" The man asked in a defeated tone, to which Robbie and Ralts nodded their heads. "From the inside or outside?" He asked again.
"Uh, if crawling through the open window is a good indication? Then from the inside." Ralts said and had Robbie sighing but shook her head, as it is the truth. The man groaned inwardly as well, even face palming and stretching his face downwards for a brief moment.
"God damn it, tell the others that closing that window will do wonders, but noo." He muttered out and then shook his head and stomped his foot."BESIDES THE POINT! You brats have no business being in here, let alone stopping me from scolding this Gijinka from breaking and entering the boss's gym!" He shouted and thrust his hand towards Rockruff's direction, causing the girl to yelp and quickly hid behind Robbie. "She's been sneaking in for over a month now, stealing our supplies, stealing our food and resources! She should be punished for being the thief she is!"
"I…I was hungry and thirsty!" Rockruff argued back and then whimpered and started feeling tears swelling up around her eyes as the man scoffed.
"Please, you Gijinka are mostly wild Pokemon. It's called survival of the fittest after all- why should we care if you're hungry and thirsty! You have meals and food up that damn mountain of yours!" He shouted and then glared when Robbie raised her voice and shouted.
"Say you!" Then points to Rockruff, "can't you see how young she is?! I don't think she is barely older than ten years old. Rockruffs are generally nurtured and cared for by their mothers until they're about thirteen years old. Then they can scavenge and hunt for food and water by themselves."
"Please, abandon or not, mother or not, she's still a wild creature and should be taught a lesson for breaking and entering." Shouted the man as he tugged his whip and glared towards the frightened Rockruff. "And most definitely to a Gym building too! Nobody gets away with breaking the rules." He exclaimed, which Robbie gritted her teeth and pushed Rockruff further behind her.
"Same goes for you!" Robbie shouted and got into a battle pose, with Ralts quickly running around to the front of Robbie and pumping her arms. Making the man grit his teeth and begin chuckling at the bravado the two were showing.
"You really think you can defeat me in a battle? You must be nuts!" Thedark skin man cackled out and shook his head, seeing Robbie and Ralts just hardening their looks more. "Fine then, its your funeral, once I am done with the two of you! Rockruff will be next and it will be all your fault for losing to somebody like me." He goes and grabs a Pokeball on his belt. "Alright, Ekans come on out!" He called out while releasing the snake Gijinka.
Making Ralts grimace a bit as she felt her physical properties lowering, but shook it off. Knowing it won't matter, she's a special attacker. Robbie however grimaced as the purple smooth wid hair Gijinka appeared before them, wearing a two piece outfit with skull and crossbones patterns on her outfit. Slithering her tongue out once in a while and morphing into her half snake form, looking to be ready and willing to challenge the two. Robbie grabs her Pokedex/Gijinka dex and scans the Pokemon.
"Ekans the Snake hybrid Gijinka. They are oftentimes seen and discovered within deep mossy and humid forests and deserts. They're venomous fangs can paralyze that of a giant Pokemon with relative ease, their poison drips off from their fangs and injects their foes with said poison. Then coils up around them and squeezes the life out of their prey." Said the Pokedex making Robbie groan to herself, knowing Ralts is at an advantage, but also a disadvantage- especially if Ekans has Poison sting.
"RIGHT THEN IF WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A BATTLE, LET'S DO IT PROPERLY!" Came a man's voice came muffling out from somewhere within the room. Causing everyone there to blink their eyes and look around, to see where it was coming from, to then facing towards the hallway of the room they were in, to then jumping back and away as two blurs came rushing in, followed by a large desk and table with microphones sitting on top of the table. Followed by two chairs that had psychic energy surrounding them and being neatly placed, as a man and a Gothitelle were soon seen plopping themselves onto the chairs and folding their hands with big smiles. "Devon and my lovely assistant Gothitelle here, will be narrating and refereeing this Pokemon battle between Robbie and…" Devon then paused and shifted his gaze over at the black suit wearing man. "Some guy in a black outfit with a giant R on his shirt chest?"
"Just call me grunt alright." The man suddenl;y said and then rapidly shook his head. "Wait hold on, who the hell are you two!? And how the fuck did you get in this building!?" The Grunt shouted and stiffed his arms and then felt himself nearly collapsing onto the floor when Gothitelle raised an ID pass from her neck.
"Oh we're official refs and narrators to Pokemon battles. We have free access to anywhere and any gyms we want to- even if said Gym is closed or isn't being run by anyone." Explained the Gijinka, having the Grunt to stare dubiously and then sighed, figuring there wasn't much to argue here and focuses on the girl and her Ralts instead. "Anyway, let's the Pokemon battle commence, as Ralts is up against Ekans!"
"BEGIN!" Devon shouted and rang the bell on the table and saw the combatants immediately starting as the Grunt quickly threw his hand forward shouting.
"Ekans go and use Wrap! Squeeze the living crap out of that Ralts!"
"Roger!" Shouted Ekans as she began rapidly moving forward, sliding across the floor like it was a skating rink, ready to leap and head into the air- spinning herself around and around in a hoop fashion.
"Ralts teleport away and then counter with Confusion!" Robbie shouted and watched Ralts Teleporting away, causing the Ekans to land onto the floor, quickly righting herself by spinning in place and facing towards wherever Ralts would appear, before screaming out and getting blasted away from her left side and being flung towards the nearby wall.
"Amazing maneuver from Robbie and Ralts, as their last battle with their rivals seems to have paid off for any battles in the future!" Devon shouted as Gothitelle nodded her head and clapped her hands.
"Yeah! Using Teleport to help Ralts with her speed is a great strategy indeed, though they need to be wary, as we don't know what else the Ekans has up her sleeve. She's still Poison type, fairy moves won't work all that well here." Informed the narrators.
"Ekans use Poison sting!" The Grunt shouted having Robbie grit her teeth and began rapidly looking around her, for how to help Ralts out and then saw the objects and tools laying across the battlefield, along with items and whatnot. She quickly looked over to the Narrators shouting.
"Hey, is it against the rules to use field objects in battle?" Robbie quickly asked as the Gothitelle and Devon blinked their eyes and then shook their heads.
"Nope, if it's part of the field, trainers are allowed to take advantage of it!" Devon quickly said and both saw Ekans charging forward and opening up her mouth and began firing off poison needles!
"Ralts, pull that door open and use it to deflect the Poison sting!" Robbie quickly shouted, watching Ralts squeaking out and quickly swung half psychic powers against the door and swung it open! Causes the Poison stings to clash and cling right into the door- followed by Ralts then quickly slamming the door forward when Ekans got close and whacked her with it, causing her to shift into her humanoid form, spinning around from the sudden pain and then grunts out when Ralts, jumps forward and used Confusion on her and sent her flying backwards and crashing into one of the shelves.
"Ekans, grr…fine two can play that game!" The dark skin grunt stated, while then throwing his arm forward. "Ekans, tail spin those buckets and pales and hurl them towards Ralts!" He commanded as he saw Ekans getting up from the pile, to growling and shifting into her snake form and began rapidly spinning in place, whacking and kicking the pales, buckets and sharp objects towards Ralts, who yelped when she tried defending herself from a bucket, but staggered back- then quickly rolled out of the way when a few knives came flying at her, cutting and ripping her dress slightly, to then yelping out in pain once more when a wooden small box smashed against her forehead, to then screaming in pain when Poison sting was soon followed up! Causing her to go flying back and taking a lot of damage, as she bounced and tumbled across the floor!
"Ralts!" Robbie shouted.
"Things aren't looking good here, despite using her field as an advantage. Ralts is now on the defensive, after deflecting the first Poison sting hurdles, and now being pelted and attacked by random objects from Ekans!" Devon said and slammed his hand onto the table. "This however doesn't mean Ralts is out! Poison sting is a low power move, she can still fight!"
"That's right, long the Poison status doesn't kick in, she should be good." Gothitelle called out as she was getting antsy from the intense fight happening before them, but then closes her eyes and squeaked when Ekans, bursted out form the rubble she was surrounded in and darted towards Ralts, who managed to get up but did not escape in time, when she had Ekans approach her and began wrapping her up! "OH no!" Gothitelle shouted.
"AAAAAH!" Ralts screamed out in pain as she felt Ekans looping and wrapping around her, laughing and snickering at the Gijinkas misfortuned and squeezed even harder while looping her snake tail between the girls legs, squeezing them together and sending them down onto the floor! "Ge…Get off!" Ralts shouted and tried using confusion on Ekans, but yelled out in pain when Ekans opened her mouth and slammed her fangs hard into the girls' neck, AAAAAAAH!"
"Ralts!" Robbie shouted and began panicking and hyperventilating, as she saw her Gijinka yet again getting hurt and injured badly in another pokemon battle. Making her ball her first but quickly shook her head, No calm down, teleport and get revenge." Robbie thought to herself and shouts, "Ralts Teleport and pummel her with a Draining Kiss, I know it's not strong against poison, but trust me!"
Ralts opened her eyes and nodded her head, as she teleported out of Ekans grasp, who was going to bite again but yelped when she slammed her fangs into the floor. Causing a tear drop to form on her forehead and her teeth cracking slightly from the impact. Devon winces while laughing, "OOH that's gotta hurt, another amazing maneuver from Robbie and Ralts. Teleporting to ignore the wrap\s added effects and prevented her from attacking. Amazing move indeed!" He shouted and began standing on the table. "This battle isn't over yet, and its already getting insane and intense, as Ralts is now charging towards Ekans, using a Draining kiss- to not only damage Ekans, but also drain her stamina! Having Ralts restore whatever energy she used in the battle, despite the type disadvantage, is good enough to allow Ralts to regain strength!"
"YEAH!" Gothitelle said, this time was also joining her trainer and partner on the announcer table. "If Ralts can keep this up, she will be able to win this fight with no problems!"
"The hell, thought you two aren't supposed to be biased!"The grunt shouted and growled out when the two just gave him raspberries and went back to focusing on the fight. "Whatever, Ekans Ekans Poison sting towards the ceiling and have it fall on top of that damn Ralts!" He commanded, as Ekans slowly got up, struggling slightly as her energy was almost out and opened her mouth and began firing Poison needles towards the ceiling! Causing a low explosion to happen and breaking the ceiling above the Ralts, that then proceeded to fall down towards Ralts.
"Ralts!" Robbie shouted and saw the girl looking up and freezing in place, as the rubble and rocks began heading straight towards her. With the man smiling with a sickening grin, Ekans laughing and Robbie screaming out to Ralts, telling her to get out of there. Rockruff, who was watching all of this and seeing how far the two were willing to go, to protect her and make sure she is safe. Harden her eyes and began running around Robbie, who in slow motion looked down to her and then forward as Rockruff began charging energy around her body and darted forward with incredible speed! White energy trailing right behind her, as she reached towards Ralts, who had her hand outstretched and Rockruff's hands stretching out too- to then everything went back to normal speed, as a large dust cloud appeared where Ralts was, as Robbie screeched out, "RALTS!"
"Heh, call it! I won this fight and that Ralts of yours is nothing but pancakes or a bloody mess on the floor!" Chuckled the dark skin man, while he then glared over to the announcers. "Go ahead and give me the victory- I won this match!" then blinks his eyes confusingly as Devon and Gothitelle look speechless and let out low grunt noises form their throats. "What got you two all tongue tied?" Then looks back to the spot and widened his eyes, seeing that Ralts was alright and safe, seemingly alongside Rockruff too, who was wagging her tail happily and smiled at Ralts.
"You alright?" Rockruff asked and happily licked Ralts' cheek, when she said she is quite fine and thanked her. "Good, now let me handle this!" She said and faced Ekans, who looked very pissed off now and angry. "Time for payback! Lead the way, trainer!" Rockruff shouted at Robbie who blinked her eyes, and smiled when Rockruff had a glint in her eyes towards Robbie. "Ready whenever you are, trainer!"
"Right then, Rockruff, go and use Sand attack!" Robbie commanded and watch Rockruff running forward and hopping into the air- before then landing back to the floor, going low and sliding across the floor as she began wagging her tail rapidly and sending sand and debris towards Ekans, who hissed out and yelled out when it hitted her eyes. Trying hard to figure out where she is and getting the dirt out of her eyes. "Now Tackle attack!" Robbie commanded soon after and watched the energy charging around Rockruff once more and then howled out happily by shoulder tackling Ekans! Sending the poison type flying towards one of the shelves, having objects fall on top of her.
"In an amazing turn of events, the scared and frightened Rockruff had stepped in and saved Robbie's Ralts from impending doom. And is now helping and battling for Robbie in this fight!" Devon shouted and let out a loud roar as flames surrounded his body. "This is incredible, amazing, outstanding, never have I seen a wild Pokemon willing to go and aid a Pokemon Trainer in their time of need! Especially one they just met!"
Gothitelle roared out as well, having flames surrounding her as their fiery souls were burning. "IT'S QUITE AN ACHIEVEMENT I HAVE EVER SEEN! Rockruff being Rock type also helps protect the Pokemon from poison attacks, by not being effective by it!" Then squeals as Rockruff ran towards Ekans, and before Ekans could react or even respond. Felt her tail being grabbed and started letting out screams of panic when Rockruff began spinning in place and throwing the Ekans up and down in the spot, smacking into the shelves, into the floor and even some of the objects in the room.
"No Ekans, stop that you little wrench!" The Grunt shouted and then yelped when Ekans was suddenly tossed towards him and caused the two to go flying towards a nearby fire hydrant, four to be exact and had them clattering all around the two of them.
"You want to see Rock throw right? Then have it!" Rockruff shouted as she jokingly said that about Ekans, but then her eyes glowed and the little rock like beads around her neck began glowing and had her pumping her arms and began gathering golden like energy around her body. Everyone there was stunned and awestruck by what was happening, to which Robbie widened her eyes and looked to her side when Ralts grabbed her hand excitedly and said.
"That's Rock throw! That's Rock throw, she learned it, she learned it!"
Robbie then turned towards Rockruff and saw Rocks beginning to appear around the Gijinka and grins, "Rockruff, Rock throw now! Send that grunt and his Gjinka flying!" Robbie commanded and saw more rocks began forming around Rockruff, who eyes turned to normal and glared towards the Grunt and Ekans who began panicking and thrashing about around the Fire extinguishers The two then shrank their eyes as the rocks were now tossed towards them, flying with rapid speed and began pelting not just them, but the fire hydrants as well- causing one of them to spark and had a chain reaction of explosions surrounding them, but also the roof of the building!
Sending the Grunt and Ekans flying into the air screaming, "We will remember this!" with smoke following right behind them to then disappear in a flash of light and star! Never to be seen again within the darkness, the explosion was so loud that it actually woke the people of Viridian city and began rushing out of their houses and homes. Even Joy came rushing out from the building being closed and blinked her eyes of what just happened?
Back with Robbie and the others everyone was still and quiet as they saw the hole of the gym that Rockruff had created from the Fire hydrants, to then everyone relaxing and settling down, to then Robbie blinking her eyes and began saying, "We…won?" She then felt excitement building up inside of her and then smiled, "WE WON!? WE WON, WE WON OUR FIRST POKEMON BATTLE!" She shouted and then laughed when Rockruff yipped happily and literally barreled down the girl onto the floor, alongside Ralts doing the same. "We did it, we did it, we did it, we did it!" Robbie cheered out and tossed Ralts and Rockruff into the air in excitement and glee!
Devon was sniffling and hiccuping while crying a stream of tears down his face, "And there you have it folks, The second Pokemon battle has taken place and victory has come for Robbie Arma and her Gijinka party. It was starting to look like things would be against them, but an amazing victory happened at the end and thanks to Rockruff, she managed to turn things around and gave the edge Robbie and Ralts needed." He sniffled out and began rapidly rubbing his eyes, "I never felt so much emotion and excitement in such intense battling, for a fresh new trainer coming out from Pallet town and entering another intense battle like this one!" He cried out and fell to his knees, shooting waterfalls from his eyes now.
Gothitelle smiled and sniffed too, "It was touch and go there, but thanks to both Ralts, Robbies cunning tactics and Rockruff saved Ralts at the end and assisted them. The group managed to pull through! This is Gothitelle,"
"And De-De-De-Deovn!" cried the man and continued whaling out.
"And we will see you next time." Gothitelle giggled out.

The next day arrived early in the morning as Robbie and Ralts were making their way towards Viridian forest. A little upset and sad that they couldn't have Rockruff become part of their team, but figured to not stress over it- after all. They just met her and helped her out of a terrible situation, and considering Rockruff was very young too? Robbie didn't want to alienate the Gijinka from entering new places. "Sigh…I was hoping we could add Rockruff onto our team, and make a friend too." Ralts whined while looking behind her as they were approaching the road leading to the forest.
This had Robbie stopping and facing down the road too, breathing out softly. "Yeah…but she is only a young pup though. It would be wrong if we took her away from her home." Robbie said and then looked down to Ralts, who looked up at her. "Besides, Nurse Joy and the people of the town did say, they will gladly care for Rockruff, since they now know she's living and sneaking about in town." Robbie smiled and had Ralts grinning up to her and nodding her head.
"You're right! Seeing how happy everyone was of seeing her and greeting her, to even giving her food and such. I think it would be better to have her with them." Though whined. "But still, be nice to have her with us- she helped us greatly." Ralts giggled.
"Ah yeah…that Rock throw was very impressive-" Though didn't finish her sentence as a brown blur came darting and knocking the air out of the girl and sending her down into the ground. Causing Ralts to squeak out and then gasp in excitement of who it was that knocked her trainer down! "Ugh…what?" Robbie opened her eyes and widened them with a smile, "Rockruff! What are you doing here!?"
The Gijinka grinned widely while sitting on top of Robbie and wagging her tail. "Well duh silly, I was looking for you! I followed you and Ralts scent and came running fast I could meet up with ya!" she giggled out and happily got off form Robbie and helped her up, then pumping her arms. "After seeing how you were handling that Grunt and did everything in your powers to help me, to then help me learn Rock throw! I knew right away that if there were going to be anyone else, who can take care of me and make me get strong! Will be you!"
Ralts giggled and jumped about as she leaned forward, "Are you sure?! We will be visiting so many places and such that it will probably be out of your comfort zone?"
"OH yeah!" Rockruff grinned and pumped her arms, tail wagging even faster. "I have seen all of Viridian city everywhere. I think its time for this very young pup to go on her adventure, and what better way than having the two who helped me. Let me see the world!" Then faces Robbie with a big grin. "So…will you add me to your team?" Then gave a puppy eye look, alongside Ralts doing the same as she stood next to Rockruff.
Robbie hummed playfully while rubbing her chin and then chuckled, "Well…as long as you pull your weight and not complain on this journey, while making sure to put all your hard work into our training and battles. I don't see why not." Then laughing when the girls cheered and high fived their hands, Robbie goes and grabs a Pokeball from her bag and then enlarges it with a big smile. "Welcome to the team Rockruff!" Then tosses it towards Rockruff.
"Hooray!" And the pup Gijinka smacks the ball and gets absorbed inside of it. Which then landed onto the ground, shaking once…shaking twice…shaking three times…*Click* Rockruff was caught! Making Ralts cheer even louder and happily hugs Robbie, nearly causing her to fall but hugs Ralts back and spun her around for a brief moment. Then walks over to the Pokeball that had Rockruff, picking it up and facing it towards her and couldn't help but giggled and threw her arm upwards shouting, "I caught a Rockruff!" she yelled out happily and then let out a loud oomph as Ralts tackled her and sent them onto the ground.
The journey is just beginning as Robbie and her team now head into Viridian forest, assisting and saving Rockruff from a weird man with black clothing and an R in the middle. To then Rockruff aiding the two in the battle and saving Ralts, from being crushed by rubble. Our heroine continued on her journey to reach Pewter city, where her first Gym badge awaits. Unaware that there is trouble brewing within the forest that might test their wits even more, what awaits them in Viridian forest and can they get through safely? Only time will tell as our Heroine journey continues…
