Rattle, Rattle, Rattle.

This clothing store has nothing good in it. Seriously, jeans with holes in them, I moaned.

You're probably wondering how I somehow sneakily made it inside a clothing store that is also inside the huge city that I'm currently in. Well, long story short, after a couple of hours of walking away from that settlement, I was able to find a city, though I had to wait till it turned night so I could walk inside.

It wasn't easy though, the entrance was heavily guarded, so while I was in a minor state of despair, I was able to somehow place one of the spots on my body into the very fabric of space. This was a surprise to me, I thought my body changing was just a side effect of entering that spot dimension, well, it is, but it came with some benefits. Like being able to teleport to any place you want instantaneously.

So, I stuck my head inside the portal and found myself looking at someone showering, let's say it ended up with a bar of soap being thrown directly at my face, which did hurt, surprisingly. After a couple more attempts one of my portals ended up in some clothing store inside the city, so I squeezed my body through, falling on a pile of clothing that kind of cushioned my fall. So, that's how I ended up here.

"Aha!" I whispered. I lifted a frizzled jacket that had two huge-sized pockets, they went deep.

I wrapped the Jacket around me, it was a size too large but that was alright, better than the other weird jackets with some sort of pumpkin mascot on them or cute bunnies, seriously, who thought that was good enough to sell?

I looked at a wall covered in all different types of hats ranging from top hats to hats with no brim, the latter being odd.

I took a black top hat off the wall and placed it on my head, I look ridiculous but I kind of feel a little boss-like with this top hat. I found a green pair of glasses with star shapes and wore them too. I struck a couple of poses before realizing how embarrassing that would be if people were watching.

Top hat, green glasses that are star-shaped, and lastly a frizzled jacket with huge pockets. Yea, not the best clothing choices but does that matter when I look like a person who got dunked in bleach with ink splotches on their body to go with it? Yea, no, I don't think so.

I looked around for a bit longer. I found myself behind a counter that had a register on it. Well, I doubt I would be able to find a job that would hire me, considering how I look. I tapped a few buttons as the register finally slid open exposing all of its treasure, alien currency, well, they're not aliens, but they're not from Earth so, in a way, they kind of are.

I shook my head at the thought. I grabbed all of the neatly organized cash, some were differently colored, probably indicating their value, but I wouldn't know how much exactly they're worth without some sort of reference.

The first act of thievery is a success. Plus, I'm doing the people around here a favor running down this business with god-awful taste in clothing. I pocketed the cash. There was a door leading to the back of the store that I went through a moment ago.

The back was littered with clothing hung up and packaged boxes laying around. After going further in, I found a room that didn't have much of anything except for a desk with a computer on it, and a comfy black leather chair.

I tossed myself on the chair and I spun it around in a circle. I missed these chairs, it brings back memories of when I was back on Earth, having to spend most of my days researching and testing then once I had my break I would usually rest on my office chair. Though, the best part was when I was able to go home and be with my wife and son.

My face relaxed, and I frowned. I hope I'll be able to see them soon enough, but will they accept me when I look like this? It scares me not knowing if they would or not, even though that was what my job mainly consisted of, the unknown. I was always excited to get answers, but this was an answer that I didn't want to find out if it turned out to be bad.

A lone small metal safe stood under the desk, I peeked my head under. How convenient, this must be where they're storing all the money. Odd place to store them, don't they have banks or did they not think of that sort of system just yet?

I shrugged my shoulders. I pinched the portal on my hand, it came off like some sort of sticker before I placed it against the safe.

"Alright, you can do this, it's just like before, but you're not trying to go anywhere too far this time," I pumped myself up.

I slowly placed my hands inside, feeling around I found an odd sensation on my head. I looked up and saw my hand touching my head. That's not right, I'm trying to get inside the safe not touch my now bald head.

I took my hand out and placed it inside again, this time it ended up somewhere I felt movement in my jacket's pocket. I slumped a bit.

"Come on, I'm trying to rob this safe, not myself," I moaned.

I took my hand out once again and placed it back inside, finally, I felt stacks of cash bundled up. Got it. I grabbed onto it and took my hand out, a stack of red colored cash was in my hands, I quickly placed it inside and took the rest inside the safe.

After a while of feeling inside the safe, there was nothing left inside. I stood up and stretched.

"Well, that was a mission successful."

I walked back out to the front of the store, counting the cash in my hands. Hopefully, this will be enough to find a place to stay for a while.

I opened the front entrance and walked out, but not even two steps out the store's alarms started to blare. Wait, you're telling me that you had a security system for your store yet you didn't account for anyone making it past the front entrance?

I looked back and forth making sure nobody saw me, which thankfully was the case. I quickly ran into an alleyway.

"Royalty Hotel…" I said to myself. I looked at the almost run-down hotel, it was anything but royalty, but it would have to do, I guess.

I headed inside. A lone woman stood behind the reception desk. I lowered my head and tucked my shoulders closer to me. She was reading a magazine or whatever, thankfully.

"Excuse me miss, but can I have a room for a week," I asked.

"Yeah, sure," She said with an uncaring tone as she continued to read her magazine.

I placed a couple of this world's currencies on the desk. She took it and flipped through the cash, she kept some and handed back the rest. She stood up, the magazine still in her hands, and took one of the keys from the wall.

"Room 16, break anything and you're paying."

"R-right, thanks," I took the key and walked off, "I won't break anything, promise, ok, maybe not, but I'll try not to."

"Whatever," She replied.

I headed up some stairs and looked around the second floor. Room 16, there it was. I stuck the key inside the keyhole and unlocked it.

Coming inside, I locked the door behind me and threw off my jacket and everything else off, and placed it on the sofa. I looked around for a bed but there was none in sight, guess this hotel's beds are sofas, great.

I used my jacket as a blanket and tossed the glasses and top hat off to the side. I can tell this really isn't the best hotel in the city.

Though, I'm glad I was able to take off that stupid outfit.

I stared at the ceiling, recounting the past events and how I ended up here.

Spider-Man causing the core accelerator to explode, me being in intense pain and sent to the spot dimension, then finding myself on this planet or an alternate version of Earth. After arriving I was attacked by a wolf but by chance escaped and then found civilization which… wasn't so kind to me because of how I looked- because of what Spider-Man did to me I was chased out, shunned by them. Because of Spider-Man I'm stuck here with no one to help me, no family, no friends, no one. All by myself.

I grit my non-existent teeth, and I felt my face change, yet I doubt it had any effect on how I look. Though I know these emotions of anger weren't any different. Because of Spider-Man, I ended up like this.

I will get my revenge, I made him a hero, and this is what I get in return. Everything was taken away from me. I swear this to you, Spider-Man, I will tear you down. I won't just stop there, I'll destroy everyone you know, everyone you love, everyone you will get to know. Hell, your entire bloodline will be damned when I'm done with you.

All of this happened because of yo-

squeak

A small gray dot fell from the ceiling, it was a mouse and it was heading straight towards my face. Before I could react, it landed on my face.

"It's on my face, get if off!" I screamed as I rolled off my couch tumbling onto my back.

"Gah, my back-"

I watched the mouse exit through the hole in my hand. The rest of my body flopped onto the ground as my back rested against the wooden floor.

snap

"Not my glasses!" I yelled.

"Will you shut up!" A muffled voice came from the room next door.

"S-sorry!" I replied.

I stared at the ceiling in silence, "That was embarrassing."
