AN: So, I realized that the core accelerator was actually a collider, I'm not sure what the difference is, but it doesn't really interfere with the story that much. Also, as you can already guess, the spot will be a criminal but there will be times he is a person with a heart. But right now he won't be strong as he is in the movie, but, eventually, he will be, he just needs a reason to achieve more power, which I already have an idea of how but I won't be using that till later chapter since it needs time to build up.

AN2: I wasn't too sure about this chapter, it was a bit iffy, but if you do end up liking it then leave a follow or favorite. Also, leaving a review of what I could've done better would be pretty nice too.

Johnathon Ohnn

My palms were sweaty, I'm not even sure how that was possible but it was sweaty. It's been a couple of days since I found myself a place to stay at. Though, it wasn't in the best condition, especially with all the mice running rampant in the place. Seriously, why did they even call it Royalty Hotel? It's far from that.

I played with the plastic bag in my pocket. Anyway, back to the reason why I am nervous. It's because I'm about to rob a store called 'From Dust till Dawn.' It will be the first time I ever robbed an open store, though, I would be a little confident if I had some weapon on me, but I won't use it on anyone, I'm not that far gone.

I've of course been here a couple of times when it was open, observing, that's what I usually did before I robbed a store when it was closed. But this time, as I said before, it was open. The manager is still there, and someone is still inside shopping.

Oh, also, if you're wondering what I'm trying to rob the store of, it's dust. You're probably questioning how I learned about this valuable resource and why I want it. Well, to answer your first question, I learned about dust while I was walking around the city, of course, I wasn't walking in broad daylight, I usually spent most of my time in alleyways traveling amongst the residents.

That's another bothersome thing, I had to hide and tread carefully in broad daylight. But, while walking around and looking for stores to steal from, I found a library, so I decided to spend some time learning more about this world. Though, it wasn't that easy.

The librarian refused to let me inside without a library pass or read any of the books at that, it wasn't like I was trying to take a book out. Last time I checked, libraries usually allowed you to stay inside and read even if you don't have a library pass, but they won't allow you to take a book outside without a library pass.

So, I did what any normal person who's been blasted to another dimension from a large collider, I left the library and used my portals to sneak inside. By the way, don't ever teleport in a library, I almost got my head crushed while two bookshelves were closing in on each other.

I backed out as fast as I could. I can't imagine having to die by some bookshelves, especially when my nemesis is Spider-Man, that'd be embarrassing. Anyway, after that happened, I stuck my head inside again and found myself face to face with a black-haired girl who had a bow on her head. The interaction was a bit odd, she was good at hiding her emotions, her eyes did widen of course.

I looked behind me, a black portal inside of an opened book, the portal that my head is sticking out of. I was about to ask her if she knew where the history section was before she shut the book closed, which hurt a bit, but after the next portal, I finally made it inside and into the history section.

And that's how I learned how dust can be used as an energy of sorts, it's able to power this world's appliances, but because of heavily relying on the use of dust, they haven't bothered to learn of other forms of energy. Like electricity, gas, solar energy, or even using flowing water as energy, and that's just a few of them.

Though dust did at least have another benefit to them, it can be used offensively and strategically if used right. But I'm more interested in its powering capabilities, I'm sure if I gather enough dust I might be able to make another core accelerator that can send me back home. Although a smaller version of the collider, this time it won't be combining different universes but sending me back to my version of Earth if this is an alternate version of Earth.

If not then I would have to set the coordinates to the position of Earth in space, although, if I'm off even by a small bit, I'd find myself in Earth's crust or up in the Earth's stratosphere where I will plummet to my death. And that's the best-case scenario if I did fail.

I shook my head, enough about that, that should be enough to inform you why I'm here. The street lamps filled the streets with light. I stuck my hands in my pockets as I walked into the store. I saw the store owner watching me enter the store, that made me even more nervous.

I whistled a little before heading off into a different section of the store, looking around. I tried my best to act like I was looking for something, but I'm not sure if that worked that well. After a while of eye shopping, I saw the dust section. As I walked towards the dust section, I saw a red hooded figure reading something while listening to pop-rock? I'm not really sure, I wasn't too interested in listening to music, especially during work hours when all my focus is needed.

I took out the plastic bag from my pocket that I got from a supermarket while purchasing some snacks. I'll be honest here, Remnant does have some good snacks here, some that I haven't even seen on my Earth, maybe when I come back I should recreate them and sell them, that'd be a good business plan. Or maybe selling brands from back home to here, although I'm not sure how they're made, I never bothered to learn its ingredients, so there goes that option.

I placed my plastic bag under the socket trying to get the dust to pour in, but it wouldn't work. Great, I guess you can't just take dust with just anything. I placed my portal inside the plastic bag and the other end of the portal appeared at the bottom of the dust container.

"Yes, that was relatively easy, I think I'm getting better at this," I whispered to myself. My plastic bag began to fill with red dust, I stopped the flow of dust and decided to fill the bag with other colored dust, I want a variety, of course. Hopefully, dust interacting with other types of dust doesn't cause any kind of explosive reaction.

I tied up the bag, now it's time for me to leave and that'll be another mission accomplished.

The front entrance opened up, causing the doorbell to ring. I turned around and watched four men in black walk in behind a white-suited man.

The man in white pulled the cigar out of his mouth, "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a dust shop open this late?" The man in white asked.

I stood still watching as one of the men in black pointed a gun at the shopkeeper. That's not good, just when I was about to leave another fellow criminal decides to bust in, and what's worst, it seems like they only want dust.

My shoulders slumped. The boss ordered his men to grab all the dust.

I turned back around, tying up the plastic bag, but before I could finish one of the men approached me.

"Hey, give up the bag, now," He demanded.

I stored the plastic bag in my pocket quickly and turned around.

"Hey!" He shouted, "I said giv-" I interrupted before he could continue.

"Yes, yes, I heard, but like, we're both criminals here," I said trying to reason with him.

"So, from me to you, I welcome you to all this dust over here," I moved my arms towards the dust in the containers.

"Plus, I was here first, so, in a way, I should be taking all this dust to myself," I reasoned before continuing, "but because I'm feeling a little kind today, I'm willing to give you guys the rest."

The man's eyes furrowed in anger, "Listen here, if you don't-"

"Now, now, the man has a point," The boss said, "Although, I don't have time for games."

The boss lifted his cane, pointing it at me. I looked at him dumbly, "What are you going to do with the cane? Smack me to death with it?" I asked.

"No, I'm going to kill you with this cane."

His index finger was pulling back, but before he could do anything with the cane, he was sent flying through the front window followed by a red blur.

My eyes would be wide open if I still had my eyes, but nope, sadly I don't. I watched as the boss's henchmen ran outside to aid his boss.

Well, that was weird. I turned around and untied my plastic bag to continue filling up my bag. Gunshots were fired outside with the sound of metal screeching against each other. Seriously, what the hell is going on out there?

I tied up my bag and placed it inside my jacket's pocket again. I turned around and soon met eyes with the visibly angry shopkeeper.

"What?" I asked with my shoulders shrugging.

"Look, at least I didn't burst in here and start a whole dialogue," I explained, "And not causing a ruckus."

The shopkeeper was still angry. I walked by the counter, "Look, you've got to understand, I'm kind of in need of this dust, for research purposes," I explained, "but I'm not really too interested in spending most of my money on dust."

He was quiet and not answering, "Well… I'm just going to leave then… cya."

I left through the front entrance. I stood behind the boss who held up his cane towards the now young girl, who also had a giant red scythe that was bigger than her. Really, what was up with this version of Earth or alternate universe, know what, I don't care.

Before I could sneakily leave the man pulled a trigger on his cane which sent a red flaring shot from his cane straight towards the girl. She jumped up, dodging the shot causing it to collide and explode on the road. Ohh, so he really did mean he would kill me with the cane. That's one killer cane, literally.

The boss began to run away up towards a latter heading to the rooftop. Man, he's quick, are people here usually that fast? Or am I just slow, as in speed, not slow mentally?

I watched as the young girl land perfectly, we both stared at each other for a moment. Her eyes scanned my body, her eyes scrunching.

"He went up there," I pointed out.

"Ah," Her mouth opened to an O-shape, "Thanks," She gave me an odd look before going off to follow the man in white.

Phew. I'm not sure if she thought my body looked weird or the fact that my outfit was weird. Either way, how long will I be able to hide how I look? Eventually, someone will find out, I would wear a suit, almost like Spider-Man, though I'm not sure if my portals would work. Plus, I really don't want to be like my nemesis.

I grabbed the plastic bag in my pocket. I'm not even sure if this dust will have enough power to generate even a small-sized collider. How much dust will I have to steal? If dust is not enough then I might have to introduce a different form of energy to this world. For the best or the worst.

I kicked an empty can on the sidewalk before heading into an empty alleyway.

Back to my place, I guess.
