AN: So, you're probably wondering why hasn't the Spot just, you know, teleport back to his universe via his portals. The reason why he's not is because he doesn't know he can. And if I made it so he knows he can do that at the very beginning of the story then that'd be the end of the story, just open up a portal and head home. Of course, I'm going to make it so he figures that out later on in the story, but only when he has a reason to stay in Remnant, which I still haven't decided on what that reason would be, but I've got a good idea on what or who it could be causing him to stay in Remnant.

AN2: If you're also wondering if I'm going to be adding the other spider-people to the story like Miles, Gwen, etc. Well, it's hard to say, since if I'm going to add them to the story then I'm going to have to bring the whole spider brigade along sooner or later because of Miles being a mistake, no offense to Miles. That or I give the world of Remnant their own version of Spider-Man, but that'll definitely decrease my update speed and motivation since I'll either be making a character in RWBY Spider-Man/woman or a whole new character.

Anyway, let me know what you think if you want Miles and the crew to be introduced into the story later on or a new spider person who'll eventually find out about the spider-verse and eventually meet the crew. But don't count on it being a good story since this is my second story and first time messing with this Marvel stuff.

Johnathon Ohnn

Out of all days it had to be cold outside today. I walked into the lobby of the Royalty Hotel.

"Hey," I waved a hand, "nice to meet you here again, well, of course you'd be here, it's your job, and it'd be weird if you weren't," I said to the receptionist.

She ignored me and continued reading her magazine, "Okay, not the best greeter in town, I see."

"Umm, anyway, I'd like to stay here for a month, if possible," I continued, "But if that's not possible then I understand, well, not really, but I would try to."

"Yea, yea, hand over the lien," She said while waving her hand in a dismissing manner.

Ohhh, that must be this world's currency then, it's always a good day when you've learned something new.

I shuffled around in my pockets, getting through the candy wrappers and empty snack bags. Yes, I've tried eating candy and snacks, although, it kind of didn't work. You know, for as long as I remember arriving here, I haven't really been that hungry or thirsty.

I handed the receptionist the lien as she flipped through it. Sadly, she took most of it and gave some of it back. I still have to learn how much lien is worth, but that's really hard when I'm spending the lien on lodging. Maybe I should compare the prices from home at this world's supermarket, next time I head over there, of course.

"You can go now," She said like he wasn't worth her time.

"R-right, but, you know, you can be a little nicer," I said.

"You're right, I should be, like how you also should be a little nicer to your neighbors," She said before continuing, "Don't be so loud at night, I'm getting complaints left and right, a few more and you're out."

I looked at her. I've never been this embarrassed ever since I've gotten hit by a bagel. And the fact that she said all that while still reading her magazine, somehow, hurts more.

My shoulders slumped as I went upstairs to my room.

I entered my room, locking it, and then checking if I really did lock it. Last time some dude, who was obviously high, came bursting into my room. Let's say it did not end up well for him. Alright, I may have thrown some hands and sent him outside of the city, but that's because he disturbed my sleep. I'm sure he'll be fine out there.

I took out the plastic bag and set it on the coffee table in the center of the room. Yes, I bought myself a coffee table. Yes, I understand that this isn't a place I'll be staying in forever, but I could always just teleport the furniture out and put it somewhere else.

I threw off my top hat and Jacket, this time no star glasses since they broke. Though, even though they looked stupid, I still liked them. I sat on a metal chair with a cushion on the seat, in front of me was a laptop that sat on a desk in the corner of the room.

Don't worry, I bought all of these with my own money, didn't steal anything from anyone. Well, except for the money, that's beside the point.

I opened up a web browser after logging in, tapping away, and finding nothing of worth. The search bar read, "parts for a collider."

Stupid, I know, but it didn't hurt to try. I closed my laptop.

Look, I really don't have any idea where to find parts to get started on making a collider, for all my time as a scientist, everything I needed was just given to me.

I got up and sat on the couch, I stared at the plastic bag. I've read that the only way to activate Dust was to use aura. I had no idea what aura was at first, but after a couple of searches on the internet; aura is a person's soul, used to defend and heal minor injuries while also giving supernatural strength, speed, agility, etc.

I've done more digging into aura, people can obtain aura by being in life-endangering situations or someone with aura unlocks it for you. It has been stated that everyone has an aura, though, I doubt it. It's most likely a genetic thing with this planet's humanity. Or maybe they're very religious, I wouldn't know.

But back on topic, people with aura fight against grimm, protecting people who can't defend themselves. That's where I stopped. Grimm. A word that can be used as an expression, but it's used differently here like it's some sort of thing.

For every question answered I gain a couple more questions.

I rubbed my hands together, playing with my fingers. Right, I've got to stay focused, my goal is to return to my home planet, Earth.

But how will I do that, what steps will I have to take to achieve that? That leads me to the small-scale collider I have to build. But where will I get the resources for it, where will I get the money to buy the resources?

I shook my head. I untied the bag full of dust. I stared inside, the dust sparkling like glitter. It's impressive that a small thing like this can give power to mostly anything, and enough of it to power refrigerators and everyday appliances.

I took a pinch of red dust out of the bag and placed it on the floor. I rummaged through the small drawer I had next to the couch.

"There it is," I said to myself. I grabbed a box of matches out of the drawer.

Taking out a match, and walking back to where I left the pinch of dust, I lit a match and let it burn for a bit before blowing it out and tossing it on the dust. The heat left from the fire should be enough to cause a reaction, if not then we'll try it with the fire still lit next time.

After a few seconds, the dust finally exploded in a small burst of fire that lasted for a moment, it was pretty loud. I stood still in silence.

I looked to my left, staring at the wall.

Phew, I thought he was going to start yelling again for the noise, thankfully not.

I tossed the box of matches on the coffee table. Great, good to know that there can be other triggers for Dust and not just aura.

The next step is learning how to use it to power a collider. I let out a tired moan. That's going to be a pain, I'm going to have to do a lot of research on Dust… wait, research.

I quickly ran to my laptop, opened it up, and typed in my password. I searched for 'Dust research facilities.' A lot of results came up but the most prominent was the Schnee Dust Research Corporation.

It was a sub-company under the SDC, the Schnee Dust Company.

It was located in the city of Atlas, Atlas being a kingdom on a floating island… what the hell. After a couple more searches I found that the island was being powered by gravity dust which lifted the island in the sky along with the city. This verifies that dust has enough energy to power a collider, now it's on to the part of how will I get the parts for a collider.

Doing a little more searching, the SDC is a mining company that mined dust and distributed them to markets and stores all over the world for consumers to purchase. So, if I ever need an abundance of dust, I could always rob the SDC of them. Though... as I stared at this world's wiki of the city of Atlas, the city of Atlas is heavily guarded by turrets and strong air defense, and if you somehow made it into the city of Atlas you would be greeted by thousands of soldiers armed to take you down at a moment's notice.

I scratched my head with both hands, stretching my body while sitting on the chair. My body relaxed as I sighed.

Bullheads won't work, and yes, I've learned about this world's version of transportation, bullheads worked like the island; using gravity dust to stay suspended in the sky, bullheads do the same thing but, unlike the island, they also use the wind to traverse the sky. It's almost like sailing on the sea.

The thing is, if you're going from one place to another via bullhead, you're going to need identification, which I don't have.

I could always steal a bullhead, but I wouldn't know how to pilot a bullhead. Then there's the question of how will I even manage to steal one without getting noticed and where exactly would I find a bullhead.

I could always teleport inside the research facility, but the question is if they have any spare parts for me to use laying around and if those spare parts are capable of being used in a collider, well, a small-scale collider.

Don't even get me started with how brittle this plan sounds. Let's say I so happen to get all the parts for the collider, I would have to put all my hope into dust and enough of it to power the collider, if dust doesn't work then I would have to build- wait, wait, no.

The street lamps turn on at a certain point, but where would they be drawing that power? From the city's power line, of course!

I smacked my head, that was bald. I still miss my hair, you know, I was considered beautiful by scientists' standards back when I was a normal person, of course.

Anyway, forget about dust then, the source of power for the collider will be the city's power line. That's one thing to feel good about, I don't have to steal a whole bunch of dust which could take, eh, maybe a few days considering my holes can be placed anywhere and teleport anything instantaneously.

Well, now for the parts. Hmm, there is another criminal in town- maybe if I ask nicely enough he could help me in getting the parts, and he seems like he has been in the criminal industry for a while now, so that's another reason to ask for help by him. Although, he did try killing me the first time.

I placed my hand on my chin. Seriously, why does his cane shoot bullets and explosives, that's really an odd choice to make a cane a gun. Welp, I'll just hope for the best as in he doesn't shoot me the first time he sees me.

Logging out, hiding the dust in the drawer, and putting on- Well, it's not like I can hide forever but at the same time, ehh… let's just leave the outfit behind for now, plus, if I ever want to store something away I can just teleport it to my room and grab it through a portal if needed. And I doubt anyone would accept me for how I look, so why hide it?
