THE HOST CLUB SERVICES BUILDING
MONDAY - 9:38 A.M.
Haruhi Fujioka was once a member of the pristine Host Club of Ouran Highschool Academy for the super-rich and wealthy. She owed a debt, paid for it, and grew to care for the host club and its faithful members.
Now, she's the distant wife of its king; Tamaki Suoh, and the mother of their only son, Rui. Her chestnut, chocolate brown hair grew out again towards her back and was very curly. Her big brown eyes were still captivating. Still a beauty, all in all. She approached a large, brick building that was one story and isolated from the rest of the scenery around it. In front of the building was a large white sign that read, in cursive, The Host Club Services.
She was holding her beautiful baby boy, Rui. He had brown hair but Tamaki's eyes. He had a serious attitude as he rarely made a lot of noise but Tamaki's charms used them to get what he wanted from his mom. An adorable combination of them both. Little Rui was only two years old, he was lying on his mother's shoulder quietly holding a small stuffed rose toy. Haruhi kissed his little head before putting a key in the door's keyhole and turning it slightly.
The two large wooden doors with two large engraved red roses intertwined opened to a large area that looked similar to a speakeasy. Wooden and red cushioned curved tables and benches with curtains hanging from the ceiling circling it for privacy, at least ten of them. A large couch in the center of the room with a coffee table in front of it. A bar with stools to the right of the couch, with a purple backlight behind the display of bottles. The room was only lit by the romantic but eerie essence of candlelights or dimmed lights. However, Haruhi turned them up, almost blinding herself and Rui.
She made her way over to the office door and opened it. The office area was luxurious. Multiple desk chairs were overlooking large computers monitoring the floor. There were two extra doors in the office; one led to the bathroom and the other was a lounge area with a bed, a small kitchen, a small play area for Rui, and an area where there was nothing but a large bookcase and filing.
She walked in and immediately gasped seeing a familiar face on the bed; her close friend and high school mate; Hikaru Hitachiin. One of the mischievous twins from her class wasn't afraid to cause trouble and was very blunt. He passed out and slept with his clothes on. Haruhi put Rui down in the playpen area and walked over to him. The closer she got the stronger the smell of alcohol filled her nostrils. She waved away the area and saw an empty bottle of bourbon on the floor next to Hikaru.
She sighed, lifted a trash can, then the bottle, and slammed the bottle into it, waking Hikaru and making Rui jump.
"You are paying for that bottle," she declared.
Hikaru's head was pounding, his eyes were stinging, and his body weighed down like he had cement blocks on his ankles. "Mmm,"
"Why are you sleeping here again? Drunk off your ass," Haruhi asked.
"Is that any way to talk in front of your son? And I've only been here once," he retorted.
"Three times Hikaru. In two weeks," she finished without facing him.
He sighed, dropping his head.
"First time with the bottle," she pointed out.
He sighed again. "Okay fine,"
"What's going on?" she questioned, handing him a bottle of water, "Brush your teeth before we open doors,"
"Kaoru hasn't been home in weeks. My parents just fight and fight and fight. I can't stay there. They don't even notice when I'm there..," his voice trailed off.
"You're an adult Hikaru," Haruhi said.
"I know. I want to move out. Just haven't found the right place yet," he ran his hand through his orange hair. "It's lonely,"
She dropped her head this time and wiped her eyes.
"Uh," he finally noticed, "Sorry,"
She shook her head, trying to hold in tears. "Go wash up, she pointed to the bathroom. Don't use up all the hot water,"
He nodded and slid off of the bed. He looked down and wiggled his finger at little Rui who bounced up and down with joy at his sight. Haruhi smiled in her son's direction until she had to snap back into reality. She was alone now. Only with her son. Her husband was nowhere to be found. She was left to manage a Host Services building that had a secret service to it at night. While Rui played, Hikaru jumped into the spare shower in the bathroom. She changed into a body-hugging casual black plain mermaid gown that flares out at the bottom. She pushed her long brown hair back into a messy bun. Applied a little mascara and a dark shade of lipstick. She looked at her reflection and smiled once every three months.
"I feel beautiful,"
"And that you are," said another voice.
She turned slightly to the right smiling at her father, who wrapped his arms around his daughter in a tight hug.
"I've come to get my grandson. I can drop him off again today before stopping at my job," Ryouji Fujioka said.
"Thanks, Dad," Haruhi nodded.
Ryouji lifted his grandson from the playpen, and kissed Haruhi's forehead "You're doing well honey," he said.
Haruhi smiled as he started to leave the room. Rui lifted his little hand and waved it side to side at his mother. The cute gesture made her heart melt.
"Honey! And Mori is here!" Ryouji called back.
She made her way to the floor and greeted the two. "Morning,"
"Haru-chan!" Honey bounced up and down latching onto Haruhi's chest like her own son.
"Hi Honey-senpai," Haruhi smiled at his adorableness, she looked up at the taller one, "Hey Mori," she nodded.
Mori nodded his head to her once.
"Go put your suits on, we will open soon. Hikaru is in the shower," she explained.
"Did he crash here last night?" Mori asked.
Haruhi looked into his eyes and licked her lips, "Three times now,"
"He must miss Kaoru," Honey said.
She sighed, "Come on, go get changed and put your tuxes on. It's 'Speakeasy' theme tonight,"
"Okay, there is already a crowd outside. Did you find any leads on an assistant manager/cook?" Mori asked.
"Not yet," she shook her head as they disappeared into the back.
Showtime!
She dimmed the lights and walked to the front doors where a podium was placed. She stepped in front of it and opened the doors. There was a flood of women waiting with their small but stupidly expensive handbags on their wrists. Jewelry that cost more than a house at the max. And of course papa's credit cards. They squealed to the top of their lungs which made Haruhi's ears twitch in anger but she almost grew numb to that after so many years.
She groaned to herself.
"Welcome ladies and good morning," she smiled politely, "Please single line," she pointed.
They straightened up quickly in a flash. Even after high school, these female customers were still very loyal. "Please come in one at a time, take a red rose, and take a seat on the left side of the room. Now, please, come in," she motioned her arm behind her.
The females one by one walked in and grabbed red roses out of a beautiful handcrafted basket. They each scurried over to the seats.
"The hosts will be with you momentarily," she said.
The girls clapped eager to see the hosts. Mori, Honey, and Hikaru all came out of the back office room wearing black tuxedos, red roses in their mouths, and their hair slicked back.
"Welcome ladies!" the three boys said at once.
Haruhi smiled and adjusted her hair. She turned back to the door, noticing a beautiful woman with dark orange hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a green casual dress and holding a white handbag. She looked nervous and looked around uncomfortably. Haruhi approached her slowly.
"Can I help you ma'am?" she asked softly.
The woman jumped, startled, and kept her head down.
"Ma'am, it's okay," Haruhi offered her hand, "You're fine here,"
The woman looked into Haruhi's eyes but then slowly took her hand, smiling shyly.
"What can I help you with?"
The woman looked around nervously and gulped, "I need a….white rose ma'am,"
Haruhi's face softened and nodded. She went behind the podium and lifted a shiny wooden box. She opened it slowly, showing at least a dozen or more white roses. She lifted one and handed it to the woman.
"Please have a seat over on the right side. And I'll send one of our members to talk to you," she explained.
The woman held the rose and took a seat on the right side of the room. Haruhi walked towards Hikaru and flashed the palm of her hand at him that had white streaks on it from the rose.
"Excuse me for a moment ladies," he said as the girls groaned in disappointment.
He walked up to Haruhi while looking across the way toward the woman.
"She's nervous so be gentle," Haruhi said.
"Aren't I always?" he joked.
She rolled her eyes and patted his back. Hikaru made his way over and sat down on one of the booths with her.
"Good morning ma'am," he said.
"Hello sir," she said.
He reached up and undid the curtains knot so the curtains would wrap around the booth giving them privacy. She looked nervous.
"Don't be scared, it's just to give privacy," he explained.
She shifted a bit uncomfortably and put her purse next to her.
"What do you need ma'am?" he asked.
She looked into his eyes.
"It's okay," he reassured.
She closed her eyes and inhaled a deep breath. She then reached into her purse and pulled out her cell phone. Scanning through her photos, she slid the phone to Hikaru showing a picture of a set of child twins; a boy and a girl. Hikaru felt the pit of his stomach turn from pure anger, seeing a set of twins with guns aimed at their heads.
He exhaled a deep breath, "Keep going,"
"My brother and sister are being held for ransom. My father pissed off someone enough to kidnap them. He's going to pay the ransom but I want this person behind bars," she declared.
He sighed, "All right, what's your name?"
"Rei Saki," she stated.
Hikaru lifted his head, seemingly knowing that name. "Is your father Master Rei?"
She nodded. He shook his head.
Rich bastard. Always gets himself in over his head and uses his subordinates to sell out. No wonder someone is after him.
"Text this number at 6 p.m. tonight. Give me a list of people who you think are after your father, and know well enough about his children," Hikaru said.
"What do you mean?" she leaned closer.
"Where were your brother and sister taken?"
"At school,"
"Then it's someone who knows your schedule or someone was spying," Hikaru said standing up and pulling back the curtains, "Please send those names tonight,"
She nodded to him, "Thank you,"
He lifted her hand and kissed it. She blushed instantly as the girls from across the room squealed in jealousy.
"Th..thank you," she said.
She quickly left the building as Haruhi approached Hikaru.
"What's the incident?" she asked.
"Her dad is Master Rei. His youngest was taken, held at gunpoint, ransom," Hikaru explained in a low voice.
Haruhi took a deep breath, "Okay, I think Mori should go with you tonight,"
"We can just do intel if that'll make you more comfortable," he stated.
"We don't have enough people anymore to be too rash. I know you and Mori can take yourselves but the babies," she said.
"I get it, I get it," he said.
"I guess you'll need me," a voice said behind them.
Hikaru whipped his head around. His eyes widened, his heart leaped into his chest, and his body shook. His twin brother. Kaoru. Stood behind them with a backpack on and smiling. Hikaru immediately ran to his brother and wrapped him up in his arms.
"Kaoru," he cried.
"Hikaru," Kaoru squeezed his brother.
"Awww!" the girls swooned.
"What are you doing here?" Haruhi asked, once they pulled apart and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"...I missed home," Kaoru answered.
They both smiled. Hikaru pulled his brother into another hug just as Honey and Mori jogged up to greet him.
"Kaoru-chan!" Honey jumped on him.
Kaoru grinned and rubbed Honey's back. Then embraced a hug from Mori. Haruhi grinned nicely, her family was slowly coming back together.
When Mori let go of Kaoru, he slightly moved Hikaru aside.
"Was that Master Rei's daughter?" Mori asked in a low tone.
Haruhi noticed, "Kaoru since you are here. Go to the back and get washed up for a shift today. You're on the clock,"
"Damn, I don't even get a minute to relax?" Kaoru asked.
Haruhi wagged her finger in his face, making him groan but laugh as they walked over to the office area for him to change.
"We can talk later," Hikaru said to Mori, "Can't leave the customers hanging for too long,"
"Good thing, he is back," Mori said, "You get your brother and we need more men for these service jobs,"
Hikaru gave a single nod as they returned to the customers.
THE SOHMA HOUSE
MONDAY - 8:23 P.M.
The main estate of the Sohma family was well known for its large land. However, its rather loud halls were another story. The God of the Sohma family had already left with her husband to birth their first child. However, leaving behind a crazed mother named Ren. Mentally unstable, loud, and disturbed she was.
That night, she was extra loud. Went up and down the hallways hollering and screaming about her deceased husband. She was slamming her fists on the walls. Kicking at doors. Throwing pieces of loose furniture around creates crashing sounds. It was too loud. Keeping the Sohmas up.
In one room, the former Ox of the Zodiac; Hatsuharu, was standing near the sliding door looking over his shoulder to his beautiful wife, Isuzu, the horse. She was holding a newborn. Their newborn son. Isuzu held onto their son who started to cry from all of the noise.
"Ssshh, shh, it's okay my son," Isuzu cooed.
Haru kept a close eye on his family until Ren came banging on their door. "SHUT THAT KID UP!" she hollered.
Haru had enough and opened the door. "Can you be quiet and go to bed already? You're waking up the entire estate!"
"Haru!" Isuzu called her husband.
"Kids are nothing more than a nuisance! They steal your husband's attention! They steal your lover!" Ren shouted in Isuzu's direction, "Your husband will desert you and leave you for shit!"
Isuzu turned their son away.
"Get out!" Haru shoved Ren back into the hallway, "God! I don't know what is worst! You or Akito when she screamed!"
"You dare compare me to that bitch!" Ren raised her hands to strike Haru.
"Haru!"
He grabbed her wrists stopping her just as the cat, Kyo, ran up pulling the two apart.
"Stop fussing! You're scaring the kids!" he barked at Ren.
"Screw those kids! They are all leeches anyway!" Ren shouted. "You, you bastard cat!" she raised her fists to strike Kyo.
Kyo rolled his eyes, "Just go to bed!"
"Where's that rat? I'm in the mood! He'll do!" Ren slurred.
Kyo punched the wall, putting his arm up to block her. "Leave that damn rat out of this and go to sleep!"
Isuzu shook her head in disappointment. While over in another room, Kyo's wife, Tohru Honda was holding a pregnancy test in her hands. A positive one. She took a deep breath, and looked over her shoulder at the smaller children around them sleeping on the floor; Hiro, Kisa, and Momiji. Every time Ren went on a rampage, the three would come to Kyo and Tohru's room. Kyo opened the door and slid back inside with Yuki, surprisingly behind him.
"Is she drunk again?" she asked.
"I think so," Kyo answered.
Yuki knelt to check on the young ones and then noticed the pregnancy test in Tohru's hands.
"Tohru?" he questioned.
Kyo then noticed and quickly ran to his wife. "Wha-?"
She couldn't help but start to smile. "You're going to be a father,"
Kyo's eyes lit up with glee and happiness. He pulled Tohru immediately into his arms and some tears escaped his face.
"I see you happy huh?" she giggled.
"Overjoyed," he sniffed.
She smiled.
"Congratulations," Yuki, Momiji, and Kisa all said together.
"Kyo," Tohru then held her husband's arm to get his attention, "I…I don't wanna bring our child into this world in this house with Ren acting like this,"
Kyo sighed, "I know, I'm looking for a better job to get us out of here,"
"Have you heard back from that cooking job in the Bunkyo district?" Yuki asked.
"Isn't that a place where men entrain women?!" Kyo bounced up and down.
"Not yet, let me call," Tohru said before reaching for her cell phone and dialing the number.
CALLING THE HOST CLUB SERVICES BUILDING….
THE HOST CLUB SERVICES BUILDING
MONDAY - 8:30 P.M.
Haruhi was getting ready to close the doors for the night when the office phone started to ring. She walked over and lifted the receiver to her ear.
"Hello?" she answered.
"Hi, hi, hello my name is Tohru Honda. I recently sent you my resume for the cook position at your establishment," Tohru said.
Haruhi took a seat in the desk chair. "Give me one moment,"
She clicked the keys on her keyboard and searched through the database.
"I'm sorry I'm not seeing your application or resume. Can you send it again?" she asked.
"Sure, sure," Tohru responded, pulling the phone away from her ear, searching her phone, and resending her resume.
Haruhi waited and then saw the attachment pop up in the email.
"Ah, I see it," she answered.
Tohru smiled full of glee at Kyo and Yuki as they started to talk back and forth. It was going well and Tohru found herself beaming with glee. Well after twenty minutes.
"Well, if you could be here by tomorrow. I think we have a deal," Haruhi said.
Tohru smiled happily, "Yes ma'am,"
THE REI ESTATE, THE MAIN HOUSE
MONDAY - 10:38 P.M.
Hikaru, Mori, and Kaoru were all sitting in a black Dodge charger. All three of them were dressed in black; pants, long sleeve shirts, boots, gloves, and hoods with masks to cover their faces.
"Do you hear anything?" Hikaru said, leaning backward in the backseat.
"He's still talking," Kaoru answered.
He had a listening device in between his legs and headphones on to hear. "The daughter hasn't come back yet, and I can't make out who he is talking to,"
"Gonna have to get closer," Mori stated.
"Slip past security," Hikaru pointed to the front doors where three arms guards were.
"Mori can take them out, huh?" Kaoru joked.
"Mmmhmmm," Mori said sarcastically.
Hikaru smiled. "We gotta find out more information. He's not giving any, and he's gonna pay the ransom,"
"He already did," Kaoru said.
"What?" More and Hikaru jerked backward.
"He just said it," Kaoru said lifting his head from the listening device, "He paid….over a week ago,"
Mori and Hikaru both stared at each other for a second.
"But the daughter came, just today," Mori said.
Hikaru licked his lips, "I knew something was wrong. Something just didn't feel right," he stated.
All three of them stepped out of the car into the dark crisp night. The twins looked up at the large estate until they were suddenly ambushed by someone coming up behind them hitting them in the back of their heads.
"Agh!"
"Uh!"
Kaoru hit the ground in pain while Hikaru shook his head shaking off the blow of some sort. He turned around and threw a kick at one of the two people knocking them to the ground. The two men were also dressed in all black with hooded masks as well. The other one was about to throw a kick until Mori rounded the car, and lifted him right by his throat slamming him against the brick wall.
"Agh!"
"Mori wait!" shouted the second hooded person.
Kaoru came too. Hikaru and Mori paused.
"Wait a minute," Hikaru walked up and yanked the hood off of the one on the ground.
Revealed to be the cool type of hottie of their club; Kyoya Ootori.
"Kyoya?" Hikaru said in shock.
Kyoya licked his lips nervously. He had been gone the same time Tamaki was gone, completely absent and off the grid from everyone. Hikaru then started to put it together and slowly lifted his head to Mori holding the other person. Mori pulled the mask off to reveal, but of course, Tamaki Suoh.
"Tamaki," Mori said.
Tamaki gulped as Mori released him.
"If you ever attack my brother again like that I'll kill you," Hikaru warned, getting Kaoru to his feet.
"We needed you all to stand down from this request," Kyoya said.
"Why?" Kaoru asked.
"Now you are barking orders?!" Hikaru shouted.
"It was the only way! Especially you two!" Tamaki barked back.
Hikaru stared Tamaki down in the eyes, stomped over, and punched him right in the jaw.
"Hikaru!" Kyoya shouted.
"That's for your wife and son," Hikaru hissed at him, "In case you forgot,"
Tamaki held his jaw, raised from the ground with dark eyes, and spat out blood.
