p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: .5in;"span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%;"This is the third encounter this month. Two class ones and a class two all within the same two sectors. What's more troublesome is that all three landings were within one hundred miles of each other. Two occurrences close by would be considered a coincidence. Three of them? Now that's a pattern and any time there's a pattern it's usually something sinister. The bastards don't act without reason. Three separate towns standard M.O. Power is shut down, communications are cut off, and then the assault begins. Within 30 minutes the town is pacified, and the abductions begin. The force compositions have also been standard with some exceptions. twelve light infantry, three heavy, three scouts, and two of the infiltrator types being standard for smaller communities. However, this time we've seen some of the weird ones come out. They look like the standard foot soldiers, but they have enhanced psionic abilities that far surpass anything we've seen fielded yet. The field operators have taken to calling them "brains." We've had reports that they can psionically ensnare up to four or five people depending on their mental fortitude and conditioning. Based on the pattern of the landings, and the addition of more psionically capable units, I'd say they're up to something. I think it's time we took a closer look./span/p
