Chapter One

Down The Rabbit Hole

After a while Frisk decided the best course of action was to examine the situation they found themselves in, which wasn't the best… Frisk looked around, the room was seemingly connected to a whole group of these "cage rooms' ', these rooms were also in the middle of a forest…to make things even weirder. Frisk checked under the bed, finding nothing, they then checked in a small drawer, finding nothing. It was a good thing the whole place was made out of wood, even though Frisk wasn't the strongest, they had faith that they could break down the bars as a last resort. The room he was in was mostly empty, besides from the drawer and the bed. Frisk looked outside of his small prison, outside was nothing… Nothing but the seemingly endless forest, he listened for any footsteps or rustling but nothing could be heard.

Frisk balled up their fist and easily punched through the thin, now worn wood. Frisk was filled with determination with this action, now freed from prison, they looked around the forest, noticing the glistening of a river. The human ran over to the river, noticing a figure of a girl wearing a hat. Frisk decided to peer to the side of a tree, the girl wore a blue dress and had crystal wings. Frisk walked up to the girl, a little less cautious this time, "Daiyousei said she'd be here by now! Ugh!" The ice fairy said before noticing the human, "Oh Daiyo-... Wait, who are you?" Cirno asked, Frisk explained that he was a human from the outside world, Cirno looking on in confusion. "A human… Oh… Sorry, I just thought you were someone else," Cirno said, after looking around for a bit, the blue clad fairy drooped her head in dejection. "Well, it doesn't seem that Dai is coming so… Would you like to see a trick…?" Cirno asked, Frisk nodded, the fair then hovered in the air, quickly freezing a large portion of the river. She then made a crude boat out of a piece of ice, placing it onto the frozen river.

With a small push the boat slowly slid across the frozen ice, beginning to spin after being pushed. This pause of silence filled Frisk with peace, seeing such a simple creation silently gliding across a solid river. Frisk expressed their enjoyment out of the boat, Cirno being oddly surprised with they're response. "Y-You liked it…?" Cirno asked, "W-Wow! You're not just saying that…?" Cirno asked, Frisk nodded. Soon Cirno defrosted the river, smiling happily at your response, "You probably know my name but, I'm Cirno, the strongest ice fairy around!" Cirno proclaimed, "What about you?" Cirno asked, "I-I… Fr-" Frisk said before another fairy came buzzing by, hovering back and stopping near Cirno.

"S-Sorry Cirno, I tried to get here as fast as I could but Reise—... Cirno, who is this…?" Daiyousei asked, "Oh them? There a human from the outside world!" Cirno shouted, "I-I see, outsiders are dangerous you know…" Daiyousei said, "Nonsense! See! If this person was dangerous then I'd already have disposed of them!" Cirno proclaimed, Daiyousei sighed, blocking Cirno away from Frisk's sight.

"Daiyousei! I'm Cirno's best friend! What is an outsider doing here?" Daiyousei asked, Frisk explained that he was from another country and had come here by accident… Daiyousei nodded, "Well that sucks, hey… Since you're here, mind helping us out with something?" Daiyousei asked, Frisk nodded, "Well you see, while I was making my way to Cirno, I decided to get some food to eat with her, HOWEVER… A little Lunarian named Reisen stopped me, saying that she needed it for a so-called "Medical operation", so she just took them! I'm so frustrated, can you help me and Cirno get them back?" Daiyousei asked, inside Frisk's expansive mind, they knew this was basically a fetch quest like in some video games they played, so to continue the plot, Frisk agreed.

"Good, let's go then!" Daiyousei said, "Umm Dai…?" Cirno asked, Daiyousei turned to her, "This human can't fly… Should we just walk?" Cirno asked, "Oh, right! Ok then, we'll walk!" Daiyousei declared before her and Cirno began walking. Frisk filled right behind, crossing the shallow river and following the guidance of a pencil thin trail. "Its funny, we don't see many humans outside of the village, so seeing an outsider human is even cooler!" Cirno said, "Quite so Cirno, you see, here in Gensokyo fairies like us make up the bulk of Youkai, that's what the humans call us… Were creatures made out of the essence of magic and nature, being born when enough flora is planted and is blessed with protective magic. Then, after a small while, we kinda just appear!" Daiyousei said, "Yeah, one day we were nothing, then poof! That's what Keine taught us, she's a really smart person and a good teacher!" Cirno exclaimed, Frisk asked who this Reisen was, "Oh Reisen…? She's a moon rabbit from well… The moon, I don't know what made her jump so fat but, one day she and her friends arrived… But I was still pretty young when that happened so I don't remember much…" Daiyousei said, "Do you have any friends?" Cirno asked, "I have Daiyousei, Rumia, The light fairies and even Clownpiece! But now that I think about it, almost everyone's my friend, Reimu and Marisa might be an exception though… They can be kind of rude sometimes…" Cirno said.

Frisk agreed, Frisk explained that they have a lot of friends too, Sans, Papyrus, Toriel, Undyne, Asgore, Alphys, and even Flowey… The two fairies just nodded, "W-Wow… That's quite a lot…" Daiyousei responded, "Yeah, they're names sound weird…" Cirno remarked. "Anyyyway, Reisen is the servant of Kaguya and Eirin both. They collectively run a rather large medicine company, they can cure anything if you give them the proper payment, permanently!" Daiyousei said, "But they're kind of strange… Even more so than the Scarlet sisters, at least with them we can see what they do clear as day! But with that bunch, we have no idea what they've been up to as their whole place is shaded by the bamboo forest, so it's extra extra hard to spy on them," Daiyousei said.

Frisk nodded, starting to get overwhelmed with these names, but oddly, they weren't scared but intrigued with this whole situation, being a large adventure type. After a while of walking the tree's began to be filled with the towering stalks of bamboo. The tree gazed up into the air, admiring the magical display, but they're staring was interrupted by faint but audible conflict. "No, that won't work at all!" A voice said, "Please Lady Kaguya, don't be so loud!" Another voice said, "Daiyousei… What was that?" Cirno asked, "No need to fear Cirno, It's probably just the bunch being a little roundy…" Daiyousei said, "I mean they do a lot of medical tests so It's fine, probably…" Daiyousei said. The voices then became louder, "What do you mean it's too big! Reisen, I command you!" A voice shouted, "Princess Kaguya, there is no need to be so loud, you might scare the customers like last time!" Another voice shouted, "COME ON REISEN OOOOH!" A voice shouted, frightened the two fairies, "W-What the?" Daiyousei exclaimed, Cirno moved closer, getting a sight of what was going on. Cinro, with her lips trembling slowly, turned around to Daiyousei, "Dai… They're massacring our vegetables…" Cirno said with half traumatized eyes.

Daiyousei anxiously peered through a small opening in the forest,

"... … (-) /~/ (-) … …"

Daiyousei motionlessly walked away, "Yeah, it's probably best if we cut our losses…" Daiyousei said, Frisk decided to take the plunge for himself, seeing whatever they saw. "No human please! PLEASE NO!" Daiyousei pleaded, but it was already too late… Frisk saw three women, a girl with rabbit ears was attempting to shove a large carrot down the throat of another woman in an elaborate Kimono, while the third woman in a blue and red dress looked on in disappointment. "...R-Reisen, N-n– No, more…!" The robed women exclaimed, "Don't be a baby Kaguya! This will help your fever, with the tone of your voice you would make it seem like we were doing something obscene!" The red and blue women said, "Come on Kaguya, just chew it… There's no need to take it whole!" The rabbit remarked, Frisk was now thoroughly angry, these people were doing it on purpose…

"I guess they really were getting roundy…" Cirno said, with a large sigh, Daiyousei sat down, dejected. "I guess we won't be getting our food after all…" Daiyousei said, "Oh come on! Don't say that, we'll just have to take it then!" Cirno proclaimed, "There's no need to cower in fear! A true fairy picks up her head and fights! Even if it means certain death!" Cirno shouted, Daiyousei smiled and got up. "Y-Your right Cirno! Let's do this, you too human!" Daiyousei shouted, "What a minute, did you hear som-" "Aaaah!" Cirno shouted as the three charged forward, scaring Reisen, causing her to let go of the carrot. The now free carrot became lodged in Kaguya's oral cavity, causing her to choke, Reisen then pointed her hand into a gun, "Bam!" Reisen shouted, a red beam of light hitting Daiyousei in the head, causing the fairy to explode into a shower of blood and small little squares.

"Oh shiii-" "Reisen! Lady Kaguya!" Eirin shouted, giving Kaguya the Heimlich Maneuver. Frisk and Cirno halted, now coated in the remains of their friend. While Frisk was stuck motionless, Cirno was none the wiser, "Dai, your technique needs a little more training…" Cirno said, "Oh don't worry humans, she'll be fine!" Cirno proclaimed, Frisk couldn't help but doubt her words, after all, Daiyousei was nothing more than a red stain on the grass, however among the blood were odd blue squares with a symbol in the middle. Picking it up, Frisk asked what this thing was, "You… You!" Eirin shouted, "What's the meaning of this! Make it quick!" Eirin shouted, "You stole their vegetables!" Cirno shouted, "W-What…? They're vegetables…?" Reisen asked, "Yes! This human right here lost their food so Daiyousei and I got some more! But you tyrants stole it…" Cirno said, pouting. Reisen sighed, carrying the basket toward Frisk, "I deeply apologize… I had no idea that the food belonged to a human, I'll buy you some more if you require it…" Reisen said, bowing. "N-No…" Frisk said, "I understand, again, apologies for this whole accident, the fairy will be fine no doubt. We were just trying to heal Princess Kaguya over here, she has been hit with a horrible bout of the flu. But as you can see, she still has the mind of a child at times…" Reisen said, "As for you Cirno, j-just go, lead the human back to the Village will ya?" Reisen said, Cirno mimicked her voice, "Oookay, we'll go, come on human!" Cirno said before stomping off, absorbing the blue blocks as she stomped through Daiyousei, the blood magically fading away.

Frisk was now fully traumatized, unsure of how death even worked in this realm, do all creatures here respawn? If so, then is death even a thing? Are they immortal? All these questions were too much to think about at once, by now the two were exhausted but satisfied, "Sorry you had to see that, trust me, Daiyousei will be back in no time, I'd give it about a day or so!" Cirno explained, Frisk asked how many times this happened, "I have been knocked out a total of 0 times! Minus the stupid one and the three Zero's!" Cirno said, "For Daiyousei, the last time she was knocked out was when she fought the shrine maiden!" Cirno said, Frisk asked if it hurt, "Yeah it hurts, but only for like— A second!" Cirno said, Frisk sighed as they began the long trek back to the Human Village.

Ebott Combined Military Headquarters

-Operation / Ace Combat 4 OST-

Inside the depths of United Ebott Republic's main headquarters, both Toriel and Asgore stare at each other from opposite ends of a round table, worried and disgusted faces on their person. Undyne was equally as shooken, biting on her fingernails, a group of both monsters and humans were gathered around, all commenting on Frisk's recent disappearance. A man in a military uniform turned to the crowd, "Alright everyone, let's begin the briefing…" The man said.

"Early today, Frisk, a monster sympathizer, had reportedly gone missing after a failed science experiment to revolutionize transport via teleportation. However, it has been over ten hours and all attempts at contact have failed… From recent information from head monster scientist, Alphys has stated that Frisk is now in another dimension away from our own. A group led by monster skeleton, Sans will locate and extract Frisk from the dimension, if they're still alive… Unfortunately ,Sans is currently in the dimension, you men will actually be led by Sir Papyrus," the man said before the tall skeleton entered the room, wearing a military uniform, "Right! I'm prepared to save humans! What are your orders sir!" Papyrus said, slinging a gun onto his back, "Perfect timing, once more we are unsure of the surroundings, environment, or inhabitants but we have just got word from Sans. The place is indeed habitable, our next update will be in an hour. Because of this, we need to take extreme caution, if you make contact with any of the local populace, be as kind as possible, no strings attached! Try to make yourselves as hard to spot as possible, don't be seen if you can help it, remember, FIND FRISK and bring them back safely, we don't want such a figure to be dead… That is all, you are dismissed…" The man said before the group of soldiers left the room. Toriel, now on the verge of tears, asked the man, "That's it…?" Toriel asked, the commander nodded.

Human Village

Sans by now had managed to find a large blanket while in the wheat field, "Right… This should be fine…" He said to himself, the scientist clenched his fists as he began to look around the place, from what he could hear there were definitely other humans. To blend in the skeleton wrapped the blanket around himself to make a makeshift cloak, the blanket was just enough to cover his more skeleton bits and he quickly and cautiously left the village. From what he could see, a group of villagers were centered around a vendor of sorts, "Aww come on! I promise it's the truth, just trust me!" A scratchy voice shouted, "Hmph! You're the worst fortune teller ever! I told you to tell my fortune, not that my dog would die!" A woman shouted, "W-Wait Arg! Damnation!" The strange man shouted, "Ugh… Maybe becoming a Youkai wasn't the best of ideas…" The man said.

The man in front of Sans looked less like a man and more like some odd vampire, his pointed ears, long nose and fangs really making an impression. The man wore a dark cloak with its collar pointed to the sky. Seeing this creature prompted Sans to drop his persona, "Rough time eh…?" Sans asked, "Eeg… You could say that… Hey, wanna hear your fortune…?" The man asked, "A fortune huh? Not right now, what's your name?" Sans asked, "M-My name… Well, it's the Fortune Teller, pretty creative right!" The Fortune Teller said, "And you're a fortune teller…" Sans replied, "Correct!" The Fortune Teller said, "Right, well have you seen a human, one with a blue sweater and purple stripes?" Sans asked, "I-I mean, I've seen many humans in my time, in fact I was one… Looking at me now you can see becoming a Youkai wasn't the best option for my future endeavors… But hey, I don't need to eat much, I can sleep wherever I wan't, and I don't need to pay rent! I'm living!" The Fortune Teller said, "But… Unfortunately I haven't seen someone like that, however! You can have your fortune read, that may help! Wadda you say?!" The Fortune Teller asked, with a small sigh, sans agreed.

The Fortune Teller led Sans into a small apartment-like room, the words "Fortune Teller" written in paint on a cardboard box next to his table. "Sit down, sit down, now might I ask dear sir! What is with that blanket over your head, what, didn't bother waking up this morning…?" The Fortune Teller asked, "You could say that… Hey, since you're not really normal, you won't tell anyone about this right?" Sans asked, "Eh? Tell me about what?" The Fortune Teller asked, Sans then revealed his skeleton face to the Fortune Teller, "W-Wow… Are you a Youkai, like me…?" The Fortune Teller asked, "I guess you could say that… So, what's my fortune?" Sans asked, "R-Right… Let's see… … … Hmm…" The Fortune Teller said, "Odd… I see great triumph… I see the kid that you speak of, they… They… Her… Not the kid, but her… What…?" The Fortune Teller said, confused, "W-Who?" Sans asked, "White… White skin looks strange… Yet so familiar, why is she in your fortune…?" The man asked, "You mean Toriel, what does she look like?" Sans asked, "I can't make it out… Just a white figure, a slim body, next to the kid and you… But there's something else, give me a second…" The Fortune Teller said, "Yeah… The figure is white, standing next to you two!" The Fortune Teller said, "Y-Yeah, that must be Toriel…" Sans said, "A friend of yours?" The Fortune Teller asked, "Yeah, thanks for your uhh… Reading," Sans said. "No problem, now, give me the money," The Fortune Teller said, "W-What?" Sans asked, "I said… Give me the fucking money…" The Fortune Teller demanded, Sans pulled out his silenced pistol, shooting the Fortune Teller in the head three times.

With a clunk the fortune teller dropped dead, Sans booking it down the now nightly village. "Get back here you skank!" The Fortune Teller shouted, now running at Sans, Sans continued to run, banking off towards an alleyway, the Teller hot on his tail. Sans knocked down a set of crates, the crates tumbling over, but the Fortune Teller blasting it away with a burst of red light. "Hey what the heck!" A villager shouted as the two barreled down the alley and into the main center. "Get over here you stupid skeleton!" The Fortune Teller shouted, tackling Sans, "Ight, since you got me in a good mood I'll make a deal with ya… I challenge you to a Danmaku Battle!" The Fortune Teller proclaimed, the crowds of villagers and Youkai turning their attention to the two. "I can tell what that means… Alright, If I win?" Sans asked, "You're free to go… I win, you gotta pay up!" The fortune Teller said, Sans then ripped off the blanket and dusted off his jacket, his eye glowing blue. "It's a beautiful day outside…"

- A Lone Prayer / Persona OST -

The battlefield was the center of the Human Village, the golden lanterns illuminating the nightly city as villagers looked at the impending battle, even the paragons of this world turned their gaze to the incident. "M-Marisa! L-Look!" Alice shouted, "Eh? What is it, oh heck yeah! Danmaku battle!" Marisa shouted, "What…?" Reimu said, The Teller charged forward, charging up a beam of light, Sans responded with a set of bones, the bones barreling towards the Youkai, in an instant the Youkai dodged, the magic beam firing. Missed, "What, you're not the only one who can dodge…" Sans said before another volley of sharpened bones was sent his way, this time coupled with a set of blue ones. The Fortune Teller was dumbfounded by the use of bones, but still knocked the fired ones with his hands. However, he did not know about the blue ones, accidentally triggering them, causing the bones to puncture his feet. "Auugh!" The Teller shouted, "What the hell…" Reimu cursed, "R-Reimu!" Alice responded while Marisa chanted, "Go Fortune Teller! Go!" Marisa shouted ,the crowd followed, all cheering for the once seemingly unknown Youkai.

The Fortune Teller smiled with this new publicity, now fighting harder, he fired a set of smaller beams, this time just barely scraping the side of Sans's jacket. The Fortune Teller got up close, swinging at the skeleton, but missing entirely. "Gaster Blaster!" Sans shouted as the skull appeared, firing its beam of blue light, the beam hit the Fortune Teller, erasing his half side from existence, but not before he fired one last volley, this time going up into the sky. Sans chuckled as the smoldering figure fell to the floor, "Guess I win…" Sans said, the crowd going silent, Reimu had enough, walking alongside Alice and Marisa. "Miss Reimu I object, there's no need for violence, e-even though they broke the rules I-I doesn't mean you should do such a thing…" Alice said, Reimu walked up to Sans as the beams fell down, Sans noticed them, dodging them, just then Reimu got up to his face.

With one powerful punch from the shrine maiden herself, Sans took a hit… ½ HP…

San's skull cracked, his body falling onto the ground, "Pathetic…" Reimu said, looking down on Sans, "H-Hey, what the heck!" Sans shouted, Reimu sighed, "You're not supposed to harm those in a Danmaku fight, dummy…" Reimu said, "O-Oh… R-Right, apologies…" Sans said. Alice walked over to the Fortune Teller, "U-Um… Are you ok?" Alice asked, "No worries Alice, I'll be fine in a week or so, besides. This isn't the first time I've been eviscerated…" The Teller said, Reimu grabbed Sans by the hoodie, "What is this clothing, it's so-" "Awful?" Marisa asked, "Crude, Crude…" Reimu said, "So what happened? Fortune Teller?" Reimu asked, "Ah, well you see… This skeleton right here came up to me asking about a child in a blue and purple sweat-" "What?" Reimu asked, "You, skeleton man! You know that outsider?" Reimu asked, "If you mean Frisk then yes…" Sans said, Reimu looked at Marisa, the ordinary magician just shrugging. "Alice… Get the Tengu's…" Reimu said, Alice walking away, in a split second two women with crow wings came barreling into view, crashing into a house. Almost immediately, the skeleton was subjected to dozens of flashed, "AnoutsiderinGensokyoofallplacesOMGOMGsocoolsocool!" Aya shouted, "Uhh Aya, are you sure… This guy just looks like another Youkai…" Hatate said.

Sans screamed in surprise as he was then carried off by the Youkai, Reimu sighed, Marisa chuckled, "Oh man, gets me every time! … What's wrong Reimu?" Marisa asked, "He knew that kid in the sweater… I'll go get him in the morning for questioning…" Reimu asked. "Come on guys, let's go…" Reimu said.

"Umm… Reimu… Alice? I can't really move in this state… Marisa?" The Fortune Teller said.

Unknown Location

A young woman walks down a roadway, a small phonebooth standing out among the spaced streetlights. Her demeanor is drunken and sloppy, stumbling as she made her way to the booth. She places in a bloody coin into the slot, she waits impatiently, coughing and wheezing as she did so. The phone rang, rang… and rang… No response, "...No… No…" The woman muttered, coughing up blood, "No, no, no, no…" She continued, her voice raspy and worn. "No! No! NO!" She shouted, punching the glass of the booth, her hand making a bloody handprint. "Lacey… Talk to me… Talk to me! Lacey! LACEY! I know you can hear me *Cough!* I hate it here! I won't go back there!" The women shouted, the booth now almost coated in blood, "Lacey! Don't leave me here! *Cough* *Cough* WAKE UP! LISTEN TO ME!" The woman shouted before a vehicle passed by, "Calm down…" The phone whispered, "L-Lacey!?" The woman placing the bloody phone to her ears, "There should be a map a few miles from there, there's a small village last I heard, something something -zawa. Your objective should be there…" Lacey responded, "*Cough*, Objective… You say it like we're in the military… Yes, I remember you talking about that. I just get anxious when I'm alone…" The woman said, "Especially in a tight place like this…" The women continued. "Right, try not to be seen will you…" Lacey said, "R-Right… *Cough*" The woman said, "Anything else?" Lacey replied, "H-*Cough* How's my mother…?" The woman asked, "Fine I suppose… She still thinks you're dead…", "To be fair… She would have a heart attack if she saw me like this, damn… Can't seem to get rid of this blood… So much blood…" The woman said.

Just then, the phone cut off, "Greetings, my name is Mary Mary! What are you two talking about…?" "Mary… *Cough* Not you again… You're not recording this correct…?" The woman said, "Of course not… This conversation is between you and me!" Mary said as the tape recording cut off.
