~~The Crimes Of Potter~~

Chapter 1: The Upbringing Of Hadrian Potter

The moon was shining bright in the clear night sky along with the stars and constellations that had made people all around the world throughout the billions of years in the making, always fascinated them.

No one knew where they came from. Did God create them? Were there advanced species that came to the earth and created them after their image with only a few adjustments? Were they inside of a computer, controlled by other beings?

What was the purpose of life? What was the purpose of living and then just dying? What was the goddamn point? What was the meaning of life if you get tortured every day until a mysterious man comes and says that you are a wizard and go to a school where you learn magic and also learn that a dark lord killed your parents and that you're part of some weird prophecy that turned out to be true?

So many questions, and yet, no answers.

Hadrian was no exception to this. He was also one of the trillions of people who existed who had asked this question time and time again and probably would until his last dying breath.

He was tired.

He was tired of doing this day in and day out. When Hadrian Potter had meet Rubeus Hagrid for the first time when he was eleven years old, he had been amazed to learn that he was half-giant, as in, his father was a wizard but his mother was a giant that anyone can read from mythology and legend.

Hadrian was also amazed to know that his parents were wizards and that his father was a pureblood that came from a relatively prestigious family with a lot of wealth. His mother had been a Muggleborn, meaning her parents held no magical blood in their veins which for some strange reason had disgusted Hadrian to the point he almost vomited.

Hagrid had taken him to the bank and showed him his family's wealth and gave him the key because it was Hadrian's right. While there, Hadrian asked if his family owned any properties that he could live in because he didn't feel safe at home.

Translation; "I will kill the filthy muggles if I live there again,"

Griphook, the one who took him to his family's vault did say that there was one house in Godric's Hollow that belonged to his family and that there was a manor that his family had lived in for centuries.

With glee, Hadrian had asked for the location, and the Gobling had given a portkey to him and told him to say; "Potter Manor," and it would bring him there.

Hadrian had hidden it from Hagrid as he didn't want him to know that he wasn't going back to the Dursleys. He had a feeling that something or someone wanted him to be with the disgusting muggles.

He had bought his wand, books and robes. While buying robes, he had run into his first friend who would later become his best friend. Draco Malfoy.

Draco Malfoy came from a wealthy pureblood family that was on the sacred twenty-eight which made Hadrian a little jealous but also proud that he had made such a friend. When Draco learned who Hadrian was, they shook their hands and formed a lovely friendship.

Hadrian had received an owl as a gift and it made the boy who had been deprived of love and family feel warm inside. He took a great liking to her and the snow-white owl liked Hadrian.

When it was time for him to go to Hogwarts, he had been given his ticket by Hagrid who had dropped him off at the Dursleys and told Harry to be on the train on September first and to be there early before eleven o'clock.

Hadrian followed does instructions and by the time he was to leave for Hogwarts, he was packed and ready. He had packed everything in his trunk he had bought in Diagon Alley and set off to the train station with his ticket.

It had been a little difficult at first to learn where the station was located but he heard a woman say something about muggles and he followed her and saw them run into a wall. Or rather, ran inside the wall. Bingo.

After they had all run through it, he did the same and was amazed when he saw the Hogwarts Express in all its glory. There were many students there as well, many who were older and were either nearing the completion of their academic careers or finishing their last year. Nonetheless, he saw many first years as well.

On the train, he had meet Draco who then introduced him to Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle.

When they reached Hogwarts, they were escorted by Professor McGonagall to the sorting ceremony. Oh, how Hadrian grinned when they shouted his name when it was his turn and the look of shock when the sorting hat had shouted:

"SLYTHERIN!"

Hadrian's first year had been pretty good but it was sort of annoying getting wary looks from the other three houses and a few from Slytherin who seemed unsure of what to say or do with him, so they ignored him altogether.

His friends, Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle were all he needed. He didn't care for the others.

His head of house, Professor Snape was the most strange one out of them all. He had been careful with what he said to Hadrian as if the Professor was afraid of setting him off. Hadrian was certain unless his eyes played tricks that the Professor once breathed a sigh of relief as if he expected anger or a curse to be thrown his way.

Nonetheless, when winter rolled around, Hadrian had been invited by Draco to come with him to the ball the Malfoy's hosted every year for the pureblood and half-blood families. Hadrian had been delighted with such an invitation and gladly accepted it.

Hadrian had first travelled to his family's ancestral home and was happy about it. He read the journals from his ancestors and learned light, grey and dark magic altogether, furthering his arsenal. He'd learned that there was no way for the ministry to track underage magic inside of a household that was centuries old and because most mansions were hidden in one way or another which made it so Hadrian could practice his magic.

He had gone to the ball and been properly introduced to the Greengrass family who was surprised to see a light wizard inside a dark family's household, Hadrian's response had been simple.

"Every family has their dark history."

After that, he had been welcomed with open arms and gotten a few new friends like Pansy Parkinson who took a keen interest in him.

When they had returned for the second term, Hadrian had been excited to start and immediately dived further into the grey and dark arts. He had nothing against light magic, but light magic didn't provide many spells or magic even, which was why he preferred to use grey magic and even some dark magic otherwise he was magically neutral.

The classes were long and boring and his friends were his only form of entertainment. They had been pleasantly surprised one morning when Gryffindor house had lost a hundred-fifty points, making Slytherin house take the lead. They found out that a red-haired Gryffindor, Ronald Weasley, a pureblood, had tried to allegedly smuggle out a dragon but no one believed such ludicrous rumours. There were two others with him, another pureblood by the name of Neville Longbottom and a mudblood, by the name of Hermoine Granger.

The name Longbottom made Hadrian happy because the Potter-Longbottom alliance has been in place since ancient times through friendship and potentially marriage, but Hadrian never found evidence of the latter taking place.

Nonetheless, the school hated the trio, but no one more so than Gryffindor. They always got scathing looks and Hadrian for a second thought that one of the Gryffindor girls was half-basilisk because her glare sent shivers down his spine!

Johnson, he believed her name was.

Hadrian finished his first year but was mystified by the headmaster Albus Dumbledore giving out points to Gryffindor last minute making Gryffindor win the house cup.

At least it was mysterious back then because the points he gave out were for some kind of heroism that the headmaster didn't further dive into.

Nonetheless, his first year was a good one. When he got to King's Cross Station, he had flooed with the help of floo powder back to his mansion. When he had gotten home, he started diving into the dark arts and grey arts once again because he needed to get strong. He didn't know the reason then, but he had this feeling that something was going to happen so to prevent this, he started training.

During the summer, he had deepened his friendship with Draco and his parents were delighted to get to know Hadrian they even treated him like a second son which at first was only to get him to become dark, but when they saw that Hadrian already was dark and believed that mudbloods were inferior, they treated him as if he was one of their own.

When the second year started, Hadrian had been happy to return together with Draco and meet the other witches and wizards he considered friends. He was excited to see what he could learn and how good grades he could get.

Strangely enough, the wall had prevented Hadrian from entering. At first, he thought he was late, but then when the Malfoy's tried to walk through it, it worked, so Narcissa Malfoy, Draco's mother, took his hand and guided him through which worked with no problems.

The ride there hadn't been exciting nor was the sorting ceremony. The only thing noteworthy was that the last Weasley, Ginny Weasley was sorted into Gryffindor house which didn't surprise Hadrian because that family is similar to the Potter in the sense that they were always in Gryffindor house… except the Potter women who seemed to enjoy Slytherin house.

Now, Hadrian thought that the second year wouldn't be all that interesting but he was wrong. Just a few months in, there is a petrified cat who was hanging on the second floor. Mrs Norris, Mr Filch's cat. But there was a message.

The Chamber Of Secrets Have Been Opened, Enemies Of the Heir Beware.

They had found Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger at the scene of the crime. Mr Filch had come out a few seconds later and turned furious when he saw his cat petrified. Luckily, before the squib could do anything, Dumbledore intervened and saw what was written on the wall and Mrs Norris.

Hadrian had observed keenly the expressions on the headmaster's face and noticed that there was a hint of fear in them but that passed quickly and he told the prefects to escort the students to their dormitories.

Hadrian and his Slytherin friends were escorted to their dormitories and were ordered to stay put.

Hadrian and Draco had dived into the discussion about the Chamber Of Secrets. Draco revealed that his father knew of the man who opened it but refused to say whom only that it was about time it was opened again.

The last Potter heir was fascinated by the prospect that Salazar Slytherin, the founder of Slytherin House had created a chamber.

One thing Hadrian never revealed to anyone was that he could talk to snakes. Parseltongue. He had heard an eerie voice in one of the pipes of the castle but never told anyone about it because he knew how the rumour mill worked at Hogwarts.

That Christmas, Hadrian and surprisingly Draco decided to stay at the castle. Hadrian because he wanted to explore and find the chamber, Draco because of the fact his parents were travelling to France to meet a few distant relatives.

However, nothing interesting would happen until after the students got back because it was then there were multiple petrifications but Hadrian managed to solve the mystery.

One day, he had made his way to the second floor and saw the back of Weasley step into the female lavatory which made him curious, so he returned during the night with his father's invisibility cloak which he had been given in his first year during Christmas. While there, he found the sinks to be interesting and without realising it, he had spoken Parseltongue.

The sinks separated and one of them went into the floor and showed the large circular hole to which Hadrian jumped inside and discovered the Chamber Of Secrets and found out the monster was a basilisk he smiled before he left the chamber and returned to the surface and buried the secret with him, but he didn't leave before he ordered it to never listen to Tom Riddle who he found out was an heir to Slytherin and was also the dark lord Voldemort.

The basilisk had complied because Hadrian was a speaker and because the basilisk said that it sensed great power radiating off from Hadrian.

In his third year, his Godfather escaped from prison during the summer, so Hadrian ordered Sirius Black to come to Potter Manor which he did and they got to know each other. He told Hadrian the truth about what happened that night, which Harry already knew because he had read his parent's will which revealed the truth.

Hadrian told Sirius that with the will in place, he could contact Madam Bones who was head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and ask for a trial which Sirius never got.

Hadrian laughed when he remembered the trial and how they were shocked to learn that Sirius Black, the man they were so certain had killed the Potter's wasn't the one who betrayed them. The will showed everything and veritserum are impossible to lie from, the potion is overpowered.

Sirius was released from prison and was given hundreds of galleons for his imprisonment.

Hadrian asked if his godfather wanted to live with him or explore the world. Sirius stayed with Hadrian because he knew that he couldn't let a thirteen-year-old live alone, at least until he went to Hogwarts.

In his fourth year, the Tri-Wizard Tournament took place on Hogwarts grounds. Beuxbatons from France visited along with Durmstrang who would be competing also.

Hadrian was worried that Tom Riddle would seek vengeance against him for his stunt in second-year but it never happened. Instead, Neville Longbottom somehow managed to end up in the tournament. Luckily for the Longbottom heir, he pulled through the first task that had dragons which made Hadrian a little sad.

Dragons should never be chained like wild beasts. They are far more intelligent than the wizards give them credit for.

Then there was the Yule Ball which the four champions had to pick a dance partner because they were the ones in the opening dance.

Hadrian was unsure if he would stick around but decided to because Draco was staying so he had made the surprising effort to ask Susan Bones, the niece of Amelia Bones, to the ball. At first, she seemed hesitant for good reasons, he was a Slytherin after all, but she submitted and gave him a chance.

The night had been wonderful, the opening dance had been elegant. Cedric Diggory who was the adult champion of Hogwarts had chosen Cho Chang, a girl from Ravenclaw, Victor Krum from Durmstrang had asked Hermoine Granger of all witches and Fleur Delacour from Beuxbatons had chosen some Ravenclaw that went by the name of Roger Davies. Neville Longbottom had surprisingly danced with Ginny Weasley the entire night from what he remembered.

Nonetheless, he and Susan Bones had a wonderful time and that was the day they started dating.

The second task was to save their love interests from the yule ball par Fleur who had to save her sister which went horribly. Neville managed to save Ginny but Fleur didn't manage to save her sister which made her lose that game. Cedric had no troubles and Krum didn't have any problems either even if his method was a little extreme turning into half-shark.

Susan Bones and Hadrian had gone on dates throughout the fourth year and started to enjoy being close to each other. Of course, she did suffer because Hadrian was a Slytherin, but her head of house, Pomona Sprout was proud of Susan for opening her doors and showing her true kindness and loyalty as a Hufflepuff.

The third task went horribly.

The champions were going to go through a labyrinth and find the magic cup that would declare them as the winners. Allegedly, Nevile and Cedric grabbed it together and were led to a graveyard and it was there Voldemort was once again resurrected. Peter Pettigrew had been there and killed Cedric in cold blood.

After a battle that Hadrian saw hastily due to the mark on his forehead, Neville teleported himself and Cedric back to Hogwarts where it was revealed that Voldemort had once again risen to power.

When Hadrian returned that summer, it was hectic for the Malfoys who were happy that their lord had returned once more. Hadrian was neutral in the matter. As long as Tom Riddle had the same views as Hadrian, then he could care less if he ruled or not. Sirius was uncomfortable with the fact that Hadrian was friends with the Malfoys and was in Slytherin but otherwise never spoke of the matter.

When the fifth year rolled around, Hadrian deepened his relationship with Susan and spent more with each other but not to the point where they forgot their friends. Hadrian still hung out with Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and Parkinson.

The defence against the dark arts professor was a useless toad.

Hadrian hated her guts, he had murderous thoughts before, but that toad had pushed his limits.

But thanks to the Weasley twin, Fred and George Weasley, they had pranked her during an exam period close to the end of the year and it had shocked the witch to the core. The reaction was priceless and it made him and his Slytherin friends chuckle.

He was pissed that the toad had called Neville a liar and so because of this, Hadrian monitored everything that went on inside the Gryffindor common room with the help of Hedwig, his owl. He was worried that at least one of them would recognise his own because her feathers are highly unusual for an owl, but they thought she was majestic.

With the help of Legilimency, he could see what his beautiful owl had seen. He had asked for permission beforehand, otherwise, he wouldn't have done it at all.

He found that Neville had been punished by writing with a blood quill which causes pain to the user and makes the word written on a parchment appear on the hand or other body part.

Hadrian had sent the memory inside a flask to Madam Bones who without question, suspended the toad and escorted her to one of the cells in the Ministry Of Magic. The trial had used the memory and as Hadrian had expected;

"Where did this memory come from?"

But they never got an answer and because Neville was willing to go to the trial, he showed his hand what had been written by the blood quill and under veritserum, Umbridge the toad, admitted that she had forced the pureblood to write with a blood quill.

She had been sentenced to Azkaban without the probability of being released. There were rumours that there were other crimes that she had committed that could land her the dementor's kiss.

Hadrian hoped it happened.

Because the Ministry of Magic had denied the existence of Voldemort being back alive and because the Minister Of Magic assigned Umbridge to the position of Defence against the dark arts, he was promptly removed, in other words, fired and asked to never return.

In his sixth year, Susan Bones and Hadrian Potter took Hogwarts by storm when it became official by the students when they saw the two walk together, hand-in-hand and looked at each other with hearts in their eyes. Many Hufflepuffs found it scary because of the fact Hadrian had never made any form of noise and because of that, they were uncertain of one of their puffs dating a Slytherin. Pomona Sprout, on the other hand, was over the moon to see two people from separate houses dating, especially a Slytherin who she had nothing against.

The first and second terms had gone by quickly, but by the end of the second term, Albus Dumbledore, their headmaster, was killed in cold blood by their head of house.

Hadrian had been shocked. He didn't think Dumbledore could be easily killed and yet, a weakling like Snape had killed him.

The last heir to the Potter family decided against his better judgement to go his seventh year which was a mistake and that's when he would begin to fully hate muggles. Because of the fact Tom Riddle was fully aware that Hadrian was the chosen one of the prophecy, Tom found creative ways to torture him, one of them had been using Susan Bones as bait.

Susan Bones aunt had been killed, and Hadrian had the honour of meeting the strong witch. After that, Susan herself had been killed by a muggle who worked for the British government.

After that, Hadrian dived into the underworld. Dark Magic and Grey Magic were good for power. He was going to kill all muggles. Their existence was a threat to the wizarding world.

Hadrian Potter defeated Tom Riddle easily because he found all of the Horcruxes. He destroyed them all except one. Himself. When he found out, he didn't know whether to laugh or be amazed by the fact that Tom Riddle accidentally made a human a living Horcrux. This was dark magic, very dark indeed.

With the help of a distant relative of the Peverells, he used a stone that made you see your loved ones. He saw his parents who told him about how proud of him they were and to be careful in life.

He allowed himself to be killed by Tom and was escorted by Hagrid who cried for the boy he had left at the Dursleys and reintroduced to the wizarding world. People had been shocked. But they had been even more shocked when Hadrian woke up and attacked Tom with a spell that would make anyone bleed to death but Tom was still standing, making Hadrian realise that the noseless boy-obsessed old man still had one more Horcrux.

Hadrian had been sad that his best friend Draco Malfoy was forced over to Tom's side.

After Hadrian had killed Nagini who once was human, he knew that Tom was killable like any human and after the duel of the century but not as impressive as Dumbledore, vs Grindelwald.

After Tom Riddle was killed, Slytherin was a neutral house. It wasn't considered good but it wasn't considered bad.

Hadrian decided to retake his seventh year and graduated with flying colours and soon left Britain so he could travel to Serbia where he had heard rumours that a dark potion master lived.

Why Hadrian wanted to meet the potion master because Snape had been killed by Tom Riddle, so there was no point in asking a dead man, but even if Snape was alive, Hadrian doubted he would have asked his former professor.

The potion master never gave Hadrian a name of any sort, so Hadrian just called him Skotádi which meant dark, darkness, obscurity or nighttime in Greek.

Skotádi had taught Hadrian how to make dark potions that could infect muggles but not magical creatures. That was the main reason for Hadrian for learning the potion and seeking Skotádi out. But also because he wanted an apprenticeship which the old man gave him.

After a year, Hadrian finished and moved back to Britain and this is where he finally loses his mind.

His godfather had been killed by a muggle police officer after there had been a robbery nearby and they tried to apprehend Sirius who tried to apparate away but the muggles shot and killed him.

Hadrian continued to look at the stars and felt tears welling up. Sirius, the one man who treated him like a son was taken from him by a filthy muggle. The purebloods are right. The muggles are a threat to the wizarding world.

The godson of Sirius Black had begun slowly. A murder here, a murder there with different muggle methods to throw the Ministry of Magic of. The muggles had killed the love of his life and they had killed his only father-figure and because of that, he had no choice but to eradicate their race.

Hadrian's tactics soon escalated when he started to bomb muggle restaurants, pubs, casinos, hotels, you name it. He always made sure that muggleborns were as far away from the troubles as possible along with the half-bloods and purebloods. He had grown to like muggleborns, but he knew that their love for their muggle family was clouding them which he didn't like. He needed them to decide, to either stay in the wizarding world and remain a wizard or stay in the muggle world and be executed for being a traitor.

In the present day, he is known as a dark lord.

Hadrian heard movements behind him and turned to see his best friend Draco Malfoy who stood there with a grin on his face.

"Hello, Potter, ready for the attack tomorrow?" The blonde-haired pureblood asked. He was wearing expensive black robes that looked to have been popular in the eighteen-hundreds.

"Ah, Malfoy, yes I'm ready for the attack on the Ministry. They should have known that this day would come." Hadrian said, turning to face his best friend with a grin. His signature glasses always made him have this handsome aura that always made the women in Slytherin drool over him. No wonder Susan fell for him easily when he advanced towards her.

"Well, if that's the case we should get some rest," Draco said, motioning towards the manor and Hadrian nodded.

While they walked to the manor, Hadrian looked out the corner of his eye and saw his guards looking out towards enemy lines. The possibility of the Ministry counterattacking while they were sleeping was very likely, so he had his soldiers stay to watch.

Hadrian smiled as he walked into the warmth of his manor. He would soon rule over the wizarding world. He would disable the weapons the muggles had and would swoop in and kill them all.

Without Draco hearing, he whispered to himself.

"Soon, I will have avenged you, Susan, Sirius,"
