"Oh, why are you being so angry now? You found it very funny when Emmett said you wouldn't want to marry the same woman again!" I snapped.
"Because he was fucking joking?" He said with disbelief, "I can't fucking believe this. I was looking forward to this vacation. I thought we'll have fun on this trip, but... No! Every few months, you manage to bring up that... thing, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Fuck."
"Don't try to blame me." I said, "As if you didn't do anything."
"I know I fucked up! I've never denied it. But it's been seven fucking years now. Just let it go!" he said, "And you don't want to renew the vows? Fine. It's not going to happen. Alice's idea was stupid anyway!" He said as he called someone.
"Who are you calling?" I said.
"Listen to me, Alice!" He said on the call, "Stop with this marriage bullshit right now! If I hear a single word about it once I leave this room, you're going to see the worst of me!"
God!
I shouldn't have brought that up! Not while we were on this trip with everyone!
Now he was going to be in an angry mood for the whole week, and everyone was going to figure out that we still had some unresolved issues.
"This is not a threat. You will see the worst of me. You want to try it?" He continued.
"No need to..." I tried to stop him, but he signaled me with his hand to stay quiet.
"Your definition of 'fun' does not necessarily have to be everyone's definition of 'fun'!" He said, "This is my one and only warning to you. If I hear this bullshit again during this whole trip, you will see what I'm capable of doing. Try me."
I shook my head.
"Good." He said.
So I guess Alice agreed? But I mean, who wouldn't with the way he had threatened her!
"Happy?" He snapped at me as he disconnected the call.
