Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 01 Episode 02
We see that Peter was at Dr. Connors lab as they were working with something and the Doctor says "As Scientists we explore and expan upon the way things are connected for the betterment of society."
Eddie says "One of The Doc's other projects, we're expermienting with genetically altered electric rasin eels." and Connors pushes a button making the tank slide out from where it was kept.
He'd then stepped up a small set of stairs using a metal hook while saying "Think of what we can do if we could harness that powers. We could create a new form of clean energy."
Peter however responds "That sounds great doc but doesn't Azmerithe already do that?" questioning why when they already had it.
"Yes well, the Plumbers don't exactly trust humans with such technology so naturally we have to develope our own sources currently." Conors explained about why they were doing this instead.
"That makes sense, but I think the Tank needs cleaning." Gwen stated tapping on the glass of the tank as she did so.
"The fluid in the tank, I call it Sludge, is actually supposed to be green. It increases the Bioelectric signatures of the eels inside of it. Think of it like plugging your phone into the battery charger." Eddie explained to them about the green liquid and what it was for.
"The sludge as Eddie calls it has increased their signatures so much that we've had to get Max here to increase the Bioelectric filters of the lab.
"Honey it's getting late. I have to get Billy to bed, and you might wanna send Peter and Gwen home too. It is a school night remember?" Curt's wife Martha then stated walking over with a blond kid rubbing his eye and yawning.
"I have to stay until Max finishes his work, but you all can go ahead and get some rest at home now." Curt told them letting the group head on home for the night.
Peter began to walk out with Gwen as his phone had began to go off with an alarm rining and so he'd checked it and sighed. "Early warning, gotta call Aunt May if I'm not home by ten." He then explained opening the contacts and calling Aunt May. "Hey Aunt May. I'm on my way now, lab work ran late. Ya, I'll make sure Gwen gets home safe then be on my way." he'd stated over the phone before hanging up looking exhausted.
We then cut to the next day as Spider-Man had been webbing across the city jumping onto a moving train and seeing a helicopter overhead. He'd jumped and webbed onto it with the chopper taking him off towards the city before he'd then let go and fired another web swinging to wherever he was going in a hurry. He'd continued trying to get there making it to the school just as the bell rang meaning he was late that day and he's sighed in annoyance.
We then cut to Peter coming into the classroom with Flash reading a paper saying "Fivehundred bucks to whomever can get photos of Spider-Man." piquing Peter's interest.
The teacher began passing out tests and hands back Flash's paper along with one of the cheerleaders named Liz's as well Flash having gotten a C- while Liz did worse getting a D- instead. However he'd spoken when handing Peter's paper back saying "Another A+ as usual Mr. Parker."
This annoyed Flash and he'd gone to throw the football on his desk at Peter though the warning sense in his brain, the Spider-Sense, went off and Peter pretended to drop his test saying "Oops." and bent down to get it as the ball was thrown making it hit the teacher instead and Flash immediately hid behind the paper.
When the Bell Rang the Teacher called "Miss Allan, please stay a moment. You need to improve your grades if you are to pass to the next grade with the rest of your class. I suggest Mr. Parker for the job of tutoring you." speaking ot Liz about her grades.
"Spend more time with Puny Parker? No thank you I'd rather fail." Flash then teased about that idea.
"Spending time with Petey, no thanks. Couldn't Flash tutor me instead?" Liz then spoke saying that she didn't like the idea of tutoring with Peter.
"I believe you are missing the point. We want your grades to go up." The teacher stated about why she needed to have Peter Tutor her.
We then see later that the two were together at a place called the Silver Spoon Cafe and Peter was trying to explain it to her. "It's actually about how Biological systems interact together."
"Is there anything in there about how biological systems are boring?" She'd questioned in response while sitting there on her phone texting.
"Are they now?" Peter then questioned taking her phone from her. "Then let me put it another way."
"Hey! Give that back!" Liz demanded when Peter took her phone and tried to reach for it, though he'd held up one hand while moving her phone away from the other.
"Now that I've got your attention. Think of it like your cheerleading, can you do a human pyramid with only one cheerleader?" He'd asked while explaining it to her.
"No, you need at least three." Liz answered back as if that was a stupid question while looking annoyed.
Peter then put down the book in front of her and gestured to the information on Cells. "And that's the answer to your first makeup question."
This surprised Liz seeming to get what Peter was trying to explain. "Okay, so what about the rest of this stuff?"
He'd began to explain things to her using ways that she could better understand these things for the makeup exam and it'd seemed to be easier to learn than she'd realized. Or maybe Peter was just really good at tutoring, possibly both. They'd seen someone run out of the shop that'd set off Peter's Spider-Sense and so he'd stood up to go.
"Just keep studdying that, and you'll be able to get it in no time Liz. Something important just came up so I gotta go." before putting his book up and heading off immediately after the guy that just left.
Spider-Man had used his camera to take photos while going after the guy and he'd webbed them to a couple of poles saying "Y'know you're the most cooperative criminal I've caught yet, but we can't get a good mug shot with you wearing this." He'd stated before webbing the mask on the guy pulling it off revealing they were electrified and he'd had to dodge the electricity as it went towards the pole.
One of the stray bolts coming from them zapped Spider-Man into a wall and the guys says "You shouldn't have done that!" while Spider-Man looks down at the mask they were wearing before looking back up and the guy says "You really shouldn't have done that."
They continued trying to blast at Spider-Man who'd called "Easy there sparky there's civilians here." trying to get them to calm down.
"Why did you attack me!?" They'd demanded from him however and accidently blasted electricity from his hand. "What's your Game?"
"Y'know attack is such a strong word." Spider-Man responded while dodging the attacks from them and he'd webbed up some broken televisions saying "Alright Electro let's unplug shall we?" slinging them into him.
"Stop it, leave me alone. STOP IT!" They'd telld out creating a sphere of electricity that zapped our wall crawler and send him crashing into a car before walking over saying "You should have left me alone I wasn't trying to hurt anyone."
The alarm on the phone went off again and Spider-Man swung up to somewhere the guy he'd called Electro couldn't reach and called. "Hey Aunt May. I know I'm doing it again, I've been tutoring Liz and somethings came up but I'll try to be home as soon as I can." He then jumped from where he was hiding fidning the guy gone.
The next day at school Peter had been going through the photos and found that they were blurry and Gwen came over saying "Peter, I just got off the phone with Eddie. There was an accident in the lab. Max had been zapped by the eels and it'd forced a mutation he's like living electricity."
Thi had surprised Peter to hear and he'd torn up the photos walking off thinking about how he didn't recognize Max at all and that he'd even attacked him wondering if there was some way he could have helped while walking towards Liz who'd seemed happy to see him. "Petey."
"Ya, Petey. I'm sorry about ditching you yesterday. If you wanna study some more we can meet up at the ESU lab." He'd apologized to her saying he could help more if she'd wanted and began to walk off.
We then cut to the labs with Gwen asking "Couldn't we put him into the filter and maybe psyphon off some of the energy or something?"
"Unfortunately not, eels developed to live in an aquatic enviornment, and Max didn't." Dr. Connors, Curt, stated in response about it.
"With the volatage he's currently generating, boom. You don't want him anywhere near water." Eddie then added to that.
They see someone coming in and notice that it was Liz calling out "Petey?" surprised to see the others there.
This confused Eddie and he questions "Petey?" confused to hear Liz calling him that wondering what was up exactly.
"Oh, Hello Eddie." Liz greeted them "You Quarterbacking for ESU?" she'd then questioned curious if he was still playing football.
"Nah, I hung up my Jersy in Highschool strictly a nerd now." He'd answered back stating that he wasn't playing football anymore.
"We're all Nerds here Liz, you can be too." Peter stated walking over with a glove and the metal hook. "All things are connectected, and as Scientists we explore and expand upon them. Words from a great man." He'd told her dipping his hand into the sludge and picking up one of the eels without getting zapped and then putting it back in.
"You should listen to him Liz, Peter's probably the smartest out of us all and really knows his stuff." Eddie told her stating to trust Peter with her studdies and she'd do fine.
Suddenly the lights began to flicker and Peter's spider-sense had gone off warning them of something as a blast of electricity busted the door with Liz clinging to Peter scared while Eddie and Gwen were caught by surprise too. They'd come from Max who'd still worn the containment suit.
"Connors come out and face me!" They'd called knocking over a whole bunch of stuff on a countertop. "You don't wanna keep me waiting kids, where's Connors?" he'd demanded.
"Max, please calm down." Curt spoke asking him to stop what he was doing. "I promise we are doing everything we can to help. We just need time."
"I DON'T HAVE TIME ANYMORE!" Max yelled out at them angry breaking the mask and gloves on his suit.
"I'll distract him, Peter you get the girls out the back entrance." Eddie called before running to attack Max getting zapped and thrown over his head in the process while Peter and the girls got away.
"In there, you'll be safe." Peter called running them towards another building in the campus while Gwen was trying to call the cops.
"Hello Police, it's an emergency over at the"WAIT! Where's Petey?" Liz then spoke worried seeing that Peter hadn't followed after them and was now gone.
We then cut to back inside where Spider-Man had jumped between them saying "Whoa, how about some chill pills there Sparky." and gestured for Martha and Curt to run from behind his back.
"You!" Max then spoke angry to see him again "You're the one that attacked me before." he'd growled in anger as we see Curt helping up Eddie.
"Ya, listen I'm really sorry about doing that. Something set off my warning sense in my brain and I really should have let you talk earlier. But you should know what you're doing isn't helping you or anyone else." Spider-Man apologized but told him that he needed to calm down. "Max you're just upset and confused, I've been there."
"Without a cure I can't be Max, from now on I'm Electro!" they'd responded saying that he was now going by the name Electro instead and tried to blast him zapping an injector gun with stray electricity and energizing whatever formula was inside. He'd seen Martha trying to escape along with Curt and Eddie though before he could try to stop them a keyboard had smacked him across the face distracting them.
"You wanna vent about your lot in life, fine go ahead, but do not attack innocent people doing so." Spider-Man spoke webbing up the entrances.
"That was my only chance to get a cure and you let them get away! That's it the gloves are off." Electro called blasting Spider-Man through the entrance to the outside.
"Come and get me Sparky." Spider-Man then called spotting the outdoor pool getting an idea swiging that way.
Getting angry Electro charged towards that way and once close Spider-Man had swung around one of the lightpoles with his webbing kicking him in the back sending them crashing into the Pool and unleashing a power surge that'd caused the whole thing to evaporate leaving Electro downed. He'd then swung off after hearing sirens.
The next day at school Peter had been walking a bit saddened that he wasn't able to help Max in some way though Liz had come over asking "What were you thinking last night?"
"Oh, uh. I decided to try to help out, sadly the only thing I managed was to hide some of the research notes to keep them from getting destroyed." Peter stated with a saddened tone about not being able to help.
"Well I wouldn't say that, look." She'd responded holding up her makeup exam showing she'd gone from a D- to a sold B grade. "I passed this time."
That did help cheer Peter up a bit and he says "That's great Liz. I knew you could do it."
