Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 01 Episode 09
Spider-Man had struck against the roof of one of the buildings he was going to, rolling over towards the middle of it because of the pain in his sides becoming too much to bare as his sides had began to move in unnatural ways as he'd screamed out in pain as four more arms had burst out of him as he'd screamed out because of the pain and he'd passed out now with three arms on each side of him. Sometime later he'd come to and realized what'd happened.
"Gotta get back to the lab, hope they found some sort of cure." Spider-Man spoke to himself as he'd began to force himself to swing back over to the lab to see what happened on that front.
Cutting back there we see the others at work trying to stop what's going on with Eddie saying "Results are inconclusive, out of the tests we've done only about fourt seven percent managed to calm the mutation while the other fifty three accelerated it."
"Keep trying." Curt spoke as they continued their research into finding some sort of way to help Peter with his mutation issue.
"You two have been at it for hours, maybe you should take a break." Martha spoke telling them to stop overworking themselves like that.
"I can't stop, I created the spider that's doing this to Peter and I owe it to him to make it right. Especially after he helped me change back from being the Lizard." Curt stated to his wife saying that he wasn't stopping until it was done.
"I'm not gonna stop either, my bro is counting on me." Eddie stated to Martha as well saying Peter was his brother and he wasn't giving up.
"Maybe you need a new perspective." A voice spoke up as we see Gwen coming from the office finally having woken up from when she'd passed out earlier.
"Hopefully that's all you'll need to finish the cure." Another voice spoke as Spider-Man had come down from the roof dangling on a web line before dropping down, though in the shadows of the place. "Tell me some good news, I could use it right about now."
"Good news is we've made progress in the few hours you've been gone and it's reached fourty seven percent success rate so far, a few more hours and we should have a solution that'll work for sure." Eddie answered back saying that they've almost found the cure that they were looking for.
"Good, because I just had a not too friendly change happen and I don't want Gwen to pass out again." Peter spoke taking his mask of and dropping into a chair still in the darker part of the room.
"We need another sample to work with." Curt spoke saying that they'd have to get more blood going to turn on the light around where Peter was sitting.
"Don't, it's gotten worse." Peter stated to them while webbing Curts hand to the wall warning not to cut the light on.
"We have to bro, it's the only way we can fully make the cure." Eddie stated to them going over and cutting Curt free kicking on the light as Peter tried to hide what'd happened, however that didn't really work.
"Peter, you've.." Martha spoke surprised by seeing what'd happened and how Peter now has four extra limbs.
"Just, pick and arm and get it over with." Peter told them letting Curt come over and get another sample from one of the exposed arms that'd stuck out from his sides.
They hear about the Vulture having broken out on the tv that was in the office and Peter puts his mask back on intending to go back out there. "While I'm doing that I need someone to cover with my Aunt may, think you can cover?"
"I'll give her a call and say you fell asleep hepling with a project at the lab." Harry told them saying he'd cover for Peter.
"Thanks Harry." Peter spoke and webbed the current version of the cure over to himself though the others looked concerned however he then says " Don't worry, I'll only use it as a last resort." before heading off once more.
We get Spider-Man swinging around the city looking for Vulture finally spotting him and gets the drop on them using all six arms to force a landing into a garbage dumpster and he'd webbed them up. Though Vulture had cut through using their new and improved wings and looked totally surprised by Spider-Man now having so many limbs.
"Look Vulty I'm really not in the mood for the normal quips, so how's about we just cut to the part where you get locked into a police van and go back to jail." Spider-Man suggested to them having a really bad day already.
"If you insist." The Vulture spoke and punched Spider-Man knocking him out of the dumpster with their new wings and then flying out of there himself.
"Hey, you're supposed to give up." The wallcrawler called going to web Vulture but used one of the extra arms by mistake. "Wrong arm, it used to be just a choice between right or left."
Spider-Man then used the correct arm he wanted sticking to the Vulture and began to pull on them harder causing a short as the tech couldn't handle it and making him drop again into the dumpster as his whole body began to feel strange so he'd slammed the lid onto Vulture's head knocking them out before wrything in pain as he'd tried to get to the vile that he'd taken with him dropping it by accident as he was trying to rush to get it open and he'd mutated growing extra eyes and large protruding fangs along with his hands becoming more like claws.
Spider-Man, or rather Man Spider?, had clawed through the wings so even if he woke up before the cops found him Vulture still wouldn't be able to get away. He then webbed them up firing organic webs from his hands and swung off trying to get back to the others freaked out and worried about his condition.
"Alright, looks like this one's up to ninety four success rate." Harry spoke as they'd heard the tv in the office going off again mentioning Vulture found with ripped wings.
"That's not good. Ninety Four will have to be enough." Eddie spoke taking one of the viles and drinking it down. "Just in case don't want our eight legged little friend here causing us to mutate too." He'd then explained and the others had began making more for themselves as well.
"We need to get the rest to Peter." Curt spoke packing up some of the cures after taking one for himself as well.
"I'm going too." Harry spoke saying he'd also help chugging down one of them and the three headed off to go find Peter because he hadn't been back yet. "You two stay here in case he comes back." He'd then told Gwen and Martha who both nodded in response.
The three had found where Vulture had been taken into custody at and began to search the place for any clues with Curt discovering the Vile calling "Over here." as he'd picked it up to show the others.
"That's the one they took from the lab." Eddie spoke realizing what it was and began to look around for anything that'd give any indication of where to go. "But where's he?"
Suddenly they hear people screaming about a monster running from one of the subway entrances and Harry says "I'm guessing that way." before the three ran off discovering Spider-Man in his mutated form.
"He's mutated into some sort of Man-Spider, we need to find a way to hold him down and administer the serum." Curt spoke as Harry and Eddie look at one another and nod in mutual understanding.
The two began to charge at them with Eddie taking the emergency fire hose and Harry turning it on so they could blast the wall making it too slippery to cope and causing Man-Spider to drop onto the ground before running over piling on top of him using all their force to try to hold him down. "C'mon Doc we don't have all day." Harry spoke with Connors running over.
"Alright keep him still." Conners spoke putting the newer serum they'd just made into the injection tool and stabbed it into one of their exposed arms forcing it to inject the serum as the Man-Spider began to cry out in pain while slowly beginning to shrink down.
They'd held them down until the Man-Spider had returned to being Spider-Man and they'd looked around confused while being let back up questioning "What happened?" as they did so.
"You mutated into a freaky spider monster but you're better now." Harry spoke as he and Eddie helped them get to their feet and they'd began to leave with them.
They'd managed to get Peter back to the lab and into some spare street clothes since he hadn't been able to get his from before and Peter says "Thanks, it's gonna take forever to get this costume fixed." Peter had spoke removing what was left of his mask looking at it and his torn to bits costume.
"No problem. I told Aunt May that you were helping me with something and you'd fallen asleep because of how exhausting it was." Harry stated as Peter gave a nod of thanks and decided to finally head on home now.
We move to sometime later as Gwen had been walking along to go home scratching her hand slightly at the bump on the back of it and was heading towards the bus stop when some shady looking guys had began to tail her. She'd began to speed up a little and so did they, then began to run which the guys did too giving chase after her. Gwen turned down an alleyway that turned out to be a dead end and we see the sady guys looking around as the alley was empty as far as they knew. The guys then leave as we slowly move upwards to see that Gwen had been above them sticking to the wall and looking surprised and little scared at the same time.
"How did.." She began to say but started to realize when she'd fained earlier she felt something slightly pinching at her hand and that it must have been the spider that bit Peter having now bitten her too.
Gwen had ran home once it was safe having taken a different bus to get there that happened to go by anyway using her hoodie to hide herself and then went inside and up to her room where she'd began to get out a sketchpad and some markers and began to get to work.
