Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 01 Episode 11
Peter had discovered that Gwen had developed spider powers of her own and he'd helped to to make a costume and began teaching her how to be a spider themed hero from his personal experiences when they'd seen something happening at the Oscorp Building and went there discovering a man with Mechanical Arms who'd they'd had to fight and whom had exited the building after their harness the arms were attached to had began to beep.
They two chased after but he'd already been gone by the time they got out there. "I left something at school so I gotta head out back that way." Ghost Spider spoke and Spider-man nods letting her head off.
After getting her things Gwen had found Harry passed out on the concreet and tried to get him to wake up. "Harry, you alright?"
"I'm fine Gwen, just a little worn out from the game took a nap is all." Harry stated to her about what happened to him.
"A nap, on the concrete instead of a bench?" Gwen questions him not beliving what he'd been saying about the nap.
Harry lets out a sigh of defeat and says "Alright, truth is I sat down on the edge of the fountain because I was feeling tired. I must have passed out and fallen to the ground from there, but I'm fine really. Hey a bunch of us are going to Coney Island tomorrow, you should come with it'll be nice to hang out like old times." He'd stated before changing the subject quickly and trying to leave.
"Fine but this isn't over." She'd told him and he'd nodded in response while making his getaway exit from the situation.
The next day at the amusement park Harry had managed to hit the bell on one of those high striker games and had gone off with the other football team members though Gwen tried to talk with him he'd tried to avoid the subject. Peter had come over too, however before the two of them could have any conversation about Harry Liz had shown up.
"Hi Gwen, mind if I borrow Petey?" Liz spoke wrapping her arms arond Peter's arm and began to pull him away.
"Listen to your senses Gwen, they'll lead you to what's going on." Peter spoke waving towards her as Liz was dragging him away.
"Listen to my senses?" She'd questioned confused as to what he meant, but rememberd he'd called the thing in her brain that warned her to dodge yesterday as a spider sense and thought maybe he'd meant that.
Meanwhile Peter and Liz had gone around Coney Island doing different stuff. They'd gone on one of the horror coaster attractions, then went to play one of the games where you fill up the balloon with water. Peter had popped his first and one a plushie of a green octopus dressed as a sailor and Liz quirted him with her water gun she'd been using then pretended that nothing happend. Though Peter squirted her back with the two laughing. He'd used his mask to wipe the water off of her and himself before quickly hiding it when he'd realized and gave her the plushie.
The two had been walking around when they cam across Flash and Mary Jane. "Well this is awkward." Mary Jane stated seeing the two of them.
"What's that?" Liz questioned pointing to something moving across the city with long legs, arms maybe?
Peter reached into his pocket hitting a button that'd make his phone ring and pretended to answer. "Hello? Well I'm a little.. yes I understand." He'd spoke into the phone before hitting the lock key saying "That was my boss I gotta get going." then began to run off.
"I wonder where Peter actually goes when he runs off like that." Liz spoke curious having never actually seen where Peter works at.
"Well he's working to help his aunt can get caught up on the bills at home so that they won't have to move and she doesn't end up in debt." Mary Jane explained to them surprising the other two.
"Ganyway, coming thorugh." Spider-Man had swung on one of Oct's arms and slid down another grabbing the disk shaped thing that he was after and sticking to one of the cases for another item.
"Hand over the device." Doctor Octopus demanded wanting the thing for whatever reason he was after it for.
"I'm thinking.. No." The webhead spoke telling him that he wasn't going to give it up, which they didn't like the answer of at all and went to attack but Spidey called "Hot potato." as he'd thrown the disklike object over Oct's head faster than his arms could catch.
"Got it." Ghost Spider called and the mechanical armed man growled out in anger and started to chase after her, though she'd exited the room with Spider-Man chasing after the two. She'd found someone still there and says "In a hury, what is this and why does the good doctor want it?"
"The Megalo Pack it's a power source that's supposed to hold a charge for years at a time." The guy told her and she'd nodded jumping out of the building swinging off with Oct and Spider-Man going after her.
Spider-Man webbed up Oct's mechanical limbs making him fall towards the ground and then caught up to Ghost Spider asking "So what'd they say?"
"The guy says it's supposed to hold a charge for years at a time." Ghost Spider explained while swinging with the thing webbed around her like a purse.
"That explains the alarm back at Oscorp, and if that's the case we just have to wear him out until the battery runs dry." Spidey spoke with Ghost Spider nodding in response to them. Unbeknownst to the two a small green light had begun to follow them.
They'd been knocked to Coney Island Ferris Wheel which had been close by and Doc Oct had continued to chase after them with Liz tripping and someone jumping over them to escapse though Mary Jane had ran over to try to help.
Spider-Man had swung past grabbing them and swinging the two to safety saying "A guy could get used to this." as they were holding onto him, though he'd sat them somewhere safe soon after.
"Paging Doctor Octopus." Ghost Spider called getting his attention showing she had the pack and getting him to chase her to give the others time to escape.
"Who was that?" Mary Jane questioned having never seen them before wondering just what was going on.
"Oh uh, she's new. And I need to get back to making sure that she doesn't get squiched by a very angry cephalopod." Spider-man answered before swinging off again going after Doc Oct.
"I got your back." Flash called chaging at the doc though Ghost Spider had grabbed him just as the good doctor was about to thrash him with one of the arms.
"Appriciat the help but you should steer clear, you're not pretty enough to save twice." She then tells him and he nodds running off.
"Of course, why didn't I see it sooner? You spiders are all the same, can't stand to see anyone hurt. Oh and trying to run down my battery pack, not a bad plan however this pack has at least an hour remaining Imagine the damage I could dO Aghkha." Doctor Octopus spoke before his eyes widened and we see that Spider-Man had used the hammer from the strong man game and slammed it into his gut.
"Never bring civilians into this." Spider-man spoke in a warning and serious tone as the little green light had been buzzing around a short distance away.
Ghost Spider freed Liz from his grasp and calls "Spidey, the pack's in the round compartment on the harness."
Nodding Spider-Man had then forced it open and pulled the pack out making Oct's arms drop and causing him to drop to the ground before webbing him up as they hear sirens going off.
They two had headed off to a rooftop and the green light followed having began to buzz around them to get their attention and in a nearly blinding flash had changed into the famous Ben 10. "Congrats on taking down another villain Spider-Man you've been racking up quite the villain roster." He then says to the wall crawler.
"Ya, but their nothing compared to the alien warlords you do battle with on the regular." Spider-Man answers back about the gallery he's dealing with.
"Well, we've noticed a trend of new heroes popping up in different places and the Plumbers have decided to start up a new division to organize them. They call it the Plumber's Hero Divison, or P.H.D. for short." Ben explained to the two that were there speaking with him.
"What's that got to do with us?" Ghost Spider questioned why exactly they're talking to the two of them.
"You, currently nothing but after today we'll certainly be keeping an eye out to see how you progress, your friend here, well, we're hoping he'll be the first to join this new opperation." The Omnitrix wielder stated to them.
"There's a lot going on here, an"Don't get it misunderstood, your hero name will be the only thing to go into the registration should you join, and there is another benifit that you may like the sound of."" Spidey began to say but Ben cut him off explaining the situation.
"And what's that?" Spider-man questioned wanting to know just what exactly was it that they thought he'd be interested in.
"Full time pay, you just gotta keep doing the hero thing like you did today exept you'll offically be an officer of the law, badge and everything. Full time pay for part time work, sounds pretty good don't you think?" Ben stated to him, which did actually get his attention. "And uh, full medical and dental coverage for you and your aunt."
That last part surprised Spider-Man to hear him mentioning his aunt "How did you..?" he'd questioned them about how he knows that.
"Peter, the Plumbers know all about you, and your friend Gwen here." Responded the alien hero telling them that they already know his identity and the identity of Ghost Spider. "Again, that will be kept off of the registration."
"How long will it take to be registered officially?" Spider-man then questions them wanting to know how long he'd be gone.
"Few days to maybe a week, I'll cover the hero stuff and I'm sure your friend Ghost Spider will be able to learn a few things along the way too." He'd answered back now waiting for their answer about whether or not he'd agree to do it.
"Alright I'll do it, but please don't tell Aunt May. I don't want her being freaked out about this." Spider-Man finally answered saying that yes he'd agree to be the first to join the P.H.D. and do this officially.
