Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 02 Episode 01
Spider-Man was swiging through the air in his new plumber altered costume, which wasn't much different to the old one except the bottom parts of his shirt were now white along where it covers his belt and his wrists were white too. He'd had a Plumber's badge on the side of his waist and finally the blue parts were now black in color. Spider-Man then put a web between some buildings and fell backwards lading on top of it.
"Oh man, it feels great to be back home." He'd stated aloud to himself as he'd been relaxing there on his webbing.
We cut to Gwen watching information about how the shuttle had been damaged and the news was talking about how the Plumbers had graciously offered a tow back to the N.A.S.A. base safe and sound when she'd seen Harry go by. He'd gone into his locker and taken something out which she sees and walks over.
"What's that?" Gwen questions him seeing the green colored liquid in the vile freaking Harry out about being caught.
"Nothing, new soda." He answered back though she wasn't buying it, something was wrong and she could sense it her brain was saying to stay away from it.
"Well then you wouldn't mine me taking a sip." She'd spoken reaching for the vile however he'd moved away shaking his head.
"No it's mine." Harry spoke pulling the vile away while backing up away from her trying to hoard whatever it was for himself.
"Harry, is this why you were passed out the other day? Whatever that stuff is I think you should get rid of it." She'd told him though he'd pushed her against the locker and began to chug it down refusing to let Gwen stop him.
Peter had come in as Harry was leaving and he'd bumped past him without so much as a hello. "Okay, that was weird." Peter spoke with Gwen coming over.
"He's been taking some sort of liquid from a vile." Gwen stated to Peter about what she'd discovered.
We move to later on when Spider-Man was swinging around town to clear his head up for a bit since it didn't seem real after getting told just what full time pay was like for a Plumber fresh from training. "With that kind of fundage I could open my own tech firm." He'd said to himself before spotting the Goblin and chased after them. saying "Bout time I got another shot at them."
Spider-Man webbed the Glider and made them stop with Goblin saying "Ah Spider-Man I've been looking for you." while throwing pumpkin bombs at him.
"And that's because?" He'd questioned managing to land a punch into the Goblin's face as he does so.
Goblin then turns the glider towards a building with Spider-Man clinging to the bottom telling him "Well, we both want Tombstone out of the way, and I've got a drive that's got enough evidence to put him away for good." as they were flying past multiple buildings.
"Great, fork it over and I'll take you both in." Spider-Man tells him though the Goblin makes a tisk tisk sound in response.
"Don't have it on me, but will tonight." The Goblin stated to him while flying through traffic to mess with the webslinger.
"Believe me you'll know." Goblin then responds to him before flying just high enough that his glider would go over a large ventelation fan though Spider-man was slammed into it and he'd flown off.
Later on he'd gone to Harry's place however he'd seen the Green Goblin going in and gave chase, only to find Norman leaving some secret room. Harry however had appeared shortly after Norman went to another room and called out "Dad I'm home."
Spider-Man had left since Norman couldn't see him in costume without questioning what's going on and so he'd decided best place to talk was the carnival.
Gwen had gone to the carnival in her normal clothes and found Mary Jane questioning "Hey have you seen Peter, he was supposed to have talked to Harry about something then came here."
"No, I haven't. I was gonna go ask if maybe Liz had seen him." Mary Jane answered back as they'd heard some guys doing a.. cheer? and gone over seeing the football team preforming one of midtown high's cheers.
"Not bad." Mary Jane spoke hearing them do the cheer as the other girls had began poking fun at them for doing it.
"Ya, would have been better if Randy was wearing the uniform too." Flash stated gesturing to how his was the green and white however he didn't have the fake chest or skirt on instead wearing pants and a long sleeve with loose draping arms.
"Dude, I am wearing the uniform, not my fault you you didn't think to ask what the midtown guy's uniform looks like." Randy then pointed out to them.
"They make guy cheerleader uniforms?" Kenny questioned hearing that they could have avoided embarrassment.
Peter had been watching the news live to see how things play out and a Plumber Ship had landed safely and we then see a Tetramand that was a bit skinner than the normal ones they're used to seeing pulling the shuttle out of the cargo hatch and onto the blacktop of the landing strip over at N.A.S.A. with the crew being helped out by a Kineceleran.
Back at the Carniaval Peter had gotten a call while on the side of a building and answers it saying "Hey Gwen any luck?"
"I still can't get ahold of Harry, did you talk to him?" She'd answered back asking if he'd managed to speak with their friend.
"Not yet, something came up but he's meeting me at the carnival." He'd stated jumping down while questioning "Where are you?"
Gwen spots him as he'd landed right next to her. "Really?" She'd questioned raising an eyebrow as he'd taken off his mask.
"Ya, I uh, accidentally dropped at the wrong spot so.. halloween costume yeaaa." Peter stated a little awkwardly about having to now go in his new costume so no one suspected anything.
Flash had laughed seeing Peter in the costume and says "It's the Spectacular Spider-Geek." making the others drop down on top of him.
"Gotta say Tiger you feel out that costume Nicely." Mary Jane spoke seeing Peter in his costume not knowing it was the real deal.
"Very nicely. You could web me up anytime Petey." Liz teased making Peter blush from the flirting.
They'd heard fire works going off and seen the various flashes of colors with jack o lantern deisngs popping up and fizzling out. "Get in costume and meet me up top." Peter whispered to Gwen who'd nodded.
We then cut to a factory where Spider-Man had dangled upside down from a webline seeing Tombstone here and says "So, Gobby offered you the special toy surprise too huh? Trap?"
"Trap." Tombstone answered back as they continued towards the steps of the factory and began to make his way up them.
"Figures, race you inside." The webslinger called swinging off inside the building. H'ed gone inside through the top and Tombstone busts the door off it's hinges with Spider-Man saying "Always with the Drama."
They'd seen Hammerhead being hung over some molten steel at the refinery they'd ended up at and the Goblin began to drop boms making the steel vat start moving towards them and pouring out it's contents and so Spider-Man had grabbed Tombstone to get out of the way while Ghost Spider had come to free Hammerhead from the situation while Goblin was distracted.
The two had kept him busy long enough for Ghos Spider to get Hammerhead clear and then began actually fighting back once she'd given the signal by webbing his glider and jerking him back a bit. "And who is this new playmate?" The Green Goblin questioned this being the first time he'd actually seen Ghost Spider before.
"She's with me." Spider-Man answered swing over and punching Goblin in the face before webbing him to a wall as Ghost Spider swung the glider down damaging it partially before the systems kicked in and it'd wonkily freed and flown off with the Goblin.
"Well, good thing I brought enough party Favors for everyone." The Goblin then laughed realeasing a whole mess of Pumpking Bombs from various places in the ceiling as he'd flown away.
Spider-Man and Ghost Spider both had began to get out of there with Spider-Man picking up Tombstone as they went with the three escaping but just barely and the big man had began making his way off to the chopper where Hammerhead had been waiting for them.
"Don't think this makes us allies. You saved me in there and so I'm returning the debt by letting you live, for now." Tombstone stated to the two spiders before getting onto his helicopter and began to leave the two there.
"I've got an idea of where the Goblin got off to, come on." Spider-Man then spoke leading Ghost Spider off to Harry's place and made their way inside seeing Goblin taking off the mask and being revealed as.. Harry?
"I knew that stuff was messing with him." Ghost Spider says about seeing Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin.
Norman had come in questioning "What's going on in here, what's with that outfit and.. Where did this come from?" he'd spoke spotting the vile for that stuff Harry was taking.
"What is that stuff?" Ghost Spider questions wanting to know just what it was that Harry had been taking.
"Globulin Green, it's an early stage experemantal performance ehnhancer, it's highly unstable and addictive." Norman then explained getting angry about Harry taking it. "Why did you take this from Oscorp?"
"For YOU!" Harry shouted throwing Norman into the wall breaking one of the masks as he'd hit the wall and was dropping towards the floor though Spider-man put a web there to make sure he didn't get hurt in the fall. "I took it from Oscorp so that I could become the perfect son you always wanted me to be. To become a man like you."
Harry had almost fainted and Spider-Man helped him to the couch and questions "Why would Harry attack the big man, it doesn't make sense."
"The truth, I had deelings with the Big Man, and when i tried to exit from the deal I was threatened by one of his stooges. Harry must have overheard and under the influence of the green his subconcious must have created someone who could take the Big Man down." Norman then explained about why this may have happened.
"Maybe I've got some anger issues." Harry spoke looking at the mask of the Goblin costume from wher he was sitting sounding like he'd lost it a bit.
"I'll say I did it, and that I was the Goblin. I created the green I'm the obvious suspect." Norman then told the two spider themed heroes.
"Harry needs you right now and you can't help him behind bars for a crime you didn't commit." Ghost Spider spoke in response telling him that's not gonna work.
"I just became a Plumber and now I gotta.." Spider-Man spoke frustrated before letting out a sigh and says "I wanna see you destroy every last drop of the formula, after that the Goblin goes away forever."
"Yes of course, thank you Spider-Man, and you miss.. uh, Ghost Spider was it?" Norman spoke thanking them looking relieved and she'd nodded to let him know he'd gotten her name right.
Norman takes the two of them to where the formula was being made and throws every last vile along with all the formula equations and everything into an incinerator where the fire could burn it away forever. He'd even burned the Goblin's costume after Harry had changed into his street clothes.
"The Green Goblin goes away forever." Norman spoke as the flames engulfed the costume and began to melt away the mask in front of them.
