"What TikTok?" He said, looking confused.
"There is this girl..." I said.
I was scared.
I didn't know how he was going to react.
He spent the last seven years thinking he was at fault when he was in fact... assaulted!
He spent those years apologizing to me for the mistake he never made!
I should have tried to understand him.
But... I reacted that way because he said he slept with her. I thought he had betrayed me!
But I could have at least tried to understand what he was trying to say...
I didn't know where this was going to take us.
"What girl?" he said.
"She is... Angela's step daughter." His expressions changed immediately as I said that.
"Bella... I've been telling you... She doesn't mean anything to me! How can I change your perception? Why are you stalking her... fucking step daughter!" he said.
"I wasn't stalking her... I didn't even know she had a step daughter. It's just this girl on TikTok... Carlie and Ness follow her and..."
"They know about Angela?" He asked incredulously, "How?"
It looked like his mind was racing.
"No... No, they don't know about her..." I said, "It's just they find this girl's TikTok intriguing and... They were discussing one of those TikToks and I kind of figured it out... I watched it and I realized that... I'm so, so, so sorry, baby!" I said.
"Bella... I have no fucking idea what you're talking about right now." He said, looking annoyed. "Can you please try to be more specific? It's like you're talking in some alien language or something!"
"It's here..." I gave him my phone, "Edward... I'm really, really sorry!" I said.
I saw his expressions changing a lot as he watched the video.
He watched it four times.
I tried to say something in between, but he didn't let me.
"Baby..." I put my hand on his face when he finally put the phone on the bed.
"I need to be alone for some time." He said as he shrugged my hand away.
"Edward... I'm sorry... I'm..."
"Not now." He said.
He looked angry.
He looked hurt.
He wasn't even looking at me anymore.
"I... I can go out if you want to be alone here," I said.
"No, that's fine." he said as he grabbed his airpods and stormed out of the room.
