"So... How was the pizza?" I said.
"It was awesome!" Renesmee replied, "How was your dinner?"
Well, we didn't have any dinner!
"It was... It was good!" I said.
"Wait... What!" Carlie said incredulously as she saw something on her phone.
"What?" I asked.
"Did Dad and Gran have a fight?" she asked.
What?
"What?" Renesmee and I said at the time.
"Aunt Alice just posted a story on Insta... "What's a family trip without some drama! Getting drunk tonight to get over my Mom and brother's dramatic fight! Cheers!"
Alice!
She must be kidding me!
I shook my head with disbelief.
How could she do this!
'Dramatic fight!'
Did she understand the severity of this situation? Our fucking lives were at stake!
"What? They had a fight? Why?" Ness asked.
"No... No, they didn't." I said.
"You're lying!" Carlie said.
"No... I'm not!" I said.
"Yes, you're!" she said.
"Alice is... Alice is joking! It was a joke!" I said.
"You're lying!" She said, "I'm going to ask Dad!"
"You're not going to Dad right now," I said immediately.
I didn't think he was in the right state of mind at the moment, and I didn't want them to see him like that!
"Why?" she asked, "It means there was really a fight! Huh!"
"What was it about?" Ness asked.
God! What the fuck was going on!
First, we got one of the biggest shocks of our lives!
Second, Alice managed to involve the family.
And now... She managed to involve the girls!
"What was it about? Why did they have a fight?" Ness asked.
"There was no fight!" I said.
"You're lying!" she said.
"Don't worry, Ness! I've got the key!" Carlie winked as she grabbed our room key and she got up from the bed.
"Carlie! Give me the keys!" I said sternly.
"Go Carlie!" Ness cheered her.
"You both are not kids!" I said, "Give me the key and stay right here!"
"Stop me if you can!" She said as she ran and opened the door.
"Carlie.. You will see the worst of me! Give me the key back!" I said.
"Go Carlie!" Ness said as she also ran after her.
"You're not kids anymore!" I said with disbelief as I also ran after them, "Stop!"
"You know what?" We heard Edward say as soon as Carlie opened the door, "I think you're right. We really need a break from each other."
