Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 02 Episode 09
Starting out we see the oscorp building and slowly pan in moving just slightly to the side over to an older brick building that was damaged and falling apart and then move inside seeing some guys setting up controlled explosives and move up the various floors until we reach Norman Osborn standing next to Peter Parker watching the demolitions expert setting the last of the charges.
"Well Peter I'm glad you could make it." Norman stated as they were waiting for everything to be ready.
"Well Mr. Osborn, you're a hard mentor to say no to. Besides, what teenager doesn't love a little epic destruction every now and again?" Peter had responded about getting to watch the place blow.
"Once this old tenament comes down we'll repurpose a sparkling new OsCorp R&D Tower." The elder man spoke as they walked over to the guy working. "Peter this is Morris Bench, he's the demolitions expert."
"Nice setup, wireless?" Peter asked the guy checking out the rig that they'd been working on.
"Completely, once we're clear I set off the countdown and cascading explosions bring the building down in it's own footprint." Morris answered about the setup while continuing to work it and someone came over to speak with Norman.
"Peter, why don't you get a good seat for the demolition." Norman spoke and so Peter began to head off when something began to go wrong.
"System's been activated, I'm locked out. We got thirty seconds." Morris told them about what had just happened.
"Someone in need of assistance?" Spider-Man then questioned dangling down in front of them and created a web slingshot for them to use to escape.
"Wait, what about Peter Parker?" Norman spoke asking about where Peter was which Spidey had fond amusing.
'Aww, he does care.' The wallcrawler thought before saying "Don't worry about that, he's alright safe."
Spider-Man then letting go of the makshift slingshot band sending them off onto a large web that'd he'd made outside the building for them to land onto before running out and jumping out of the building himself as the explosives went off bringing it down in the process and then had slipped away and quickly changed out of the costume going around the side so that they didn't see him and then walked over to Norman.
We then cut to later at the Silver Spoon Cafe with Mary Jane sitting with Peter and Gwen asking "So, any plans for new years?"
"Nothing in particular." Peter answered back saying he doesn't really have any plans for new years and spots Flash in the line as the worker called the number on their ticket and so got up to go get their order.
"Yo, Puny Parker." Flash had called surprisingly in a decent enough mood considering he was in a wheelchair with the legs of his pants from the knee down folded underneath him as the Doctors had to amputate.
"Hey Flash, I heard about what happened. It'd probably be stupid to ask how you're doing considering.." Peter spoke while gesturing to Flash as a whole.
"Ya, it's cool though. I got a selfie with Spider-Man out of it so.." Flash then answered back stating he'd gotten to get a picture with the webslinger.
"I guess, Spider-Man isn't as great a hero as you'd thought after what happened?" Peter stated as they were moving up the line so Flash could oder and so that Peter could pick up the order for his table that'd already been made.
"You kidding me? Spider-Man and Ghost Spider saved a lot of lives out there including mine. I'm the idiot that chose to run back under there." The blond stated saying he still sees them as heroes. "One day I'll find a way to be a hero too."
Well they got to the front of the line and Peter took the order back to the table but the machines began to go haywire with them and the manager there asks everyone to leave and as they were leaving the traffic lights began to go nuts causing a pileup. "Something's wrong here." Peter spoke as he and Gwen slipped away to get into costume.
We see Liz watching the pileup and Electro walked up with the helmet and gloves on to help him disguse himself while also in a cap and long coat. He'd zapped her at the back of the neck knocking her out and taking Liz away without being noticed as Spider-Man and Ghost Spider had been distracted trying to get people out of the pileup and to safety.
Kraven had joined in ripping the doors off of the vehilces and slashing thorugh the safety belts and things with his metal claw'd rings as he'd done so with Ghost Spider questioning "Kraven, what are you doing here?" seeing the hunter helping.
"Kraven will NOT be a part of this hunt." They'd answered back continuing to rip things apart as they hear his pet Lion Gulyadkin letting out a roar as he'd beend attacking and moving the different vehicles so that the doors were made accessable by Kraven and the two spiders.
"Thanks for the help Gulyadkin." Ghost Spider spoke scratching the large cats's head before ripping the door off of the vhicle that he had just moved to help people get to safety.
Kraven spotted Vulture flying with Liz and calls "Spider-Man, they have endangered more innocents. Taken a girl, you must go. We will continue to help the people of the city." Kraven called telling Spider-Man that he had to go after the others while they stayed to help.
Kraven had told Spider-Man what building to go to and he'd found the right area before diving into the water thinking 'Cold cold cold cold, I gotta invest in a spider themed wetsuit.' before turning and ripping a hatch off it's hingers swimming up through the tunnel and into the base. While he was doing that Ghost Spider and Kraven had gone to stop the Vulture who'd began to attack attack the Homeland Security building helping to fight them off and Spider-Man had found Liz in a cage dnagling from the ceiling.
"Spider-Man!" Liz called seeing the wallcrawler was there to rescue her. "I'm I ever glad to see you."
"Don't worry Liiitle lady, I'm here to help." Spider-Man told them but his spider sense had warned him about what ws going on and he'd dodged just in time for Electro to have started blasting at them. "Move away from the bars!" He'd called to her but it was too late the electricity hit the crane head and traveled down the hook and cables to the bars where they'd zapped Liz in the process.
Spider-Man went to attack Electro but he'd been blasted into part of the tech around them and a voice calls "Electro take this fight somewhere else please, you're damaging the equipment."
"So, they don't want the tech damaged huh?" Spidey thought alout and then whistled at Max saying "Yo Max, you're scared of a second rate schemer with a funny voice?"
This angered Electro and he'd blasted the tech that was behind Spider-Man as he'd dodged the attack "First off I'm not scared of nothing, and second the Master Planner ain't second rate nothing." He'd spoken while continuing to blast at the wallcralwer as he kept dodging around the place. "And Third Do NOT Call me Max or I'll turn you into Nothing!"
"Max, Max, Maxie, Maxamillion, Maximum." Spider-Man called while continuing to dodge and the place began to flood slowly with Electro hitting the roof and making a beam from it fall and causing him to be pinned down and taken out. "Now I just gotta get Liz out of here."
The holes in the walls had mechanical arms coming out of them and picks up electro as the webhead pulled open the bars on the cage. 'Great, even the walls have arms.' He'd thought before then calling out "Master Planner, some secret-identity advice from an expert. Never sign your work Doc."
The arms had all began to attack him and Doc Oct who was the Master Planner says "Yes yes, you figured it out, though after I've already revealed myself." They'd called back as one of the arms grabbed Liz while the rest were attacking Spider-Man.
"Yo, if you're gonna dance with my date then I'm totally dancing with yours!" The webslinger called out jumping around the place and swinging over to electro throwing him into the other arms and zapping them. "Bingo."
Electro had been dropped into a large screen and busted it as Spider-man then jumped up onto the cage can got Liz out with her slowly starting to stir a bit. However another arm had slammed him into the wall by the head and then a second one slammed him onto the ground. "I thought the arms race was over." Spidey then spoke getting back up.
"I've still got a few up my sleeves." Doc Oct spoke sending his arms after Spider-Man slammed him around the place before making the claws on the spin like fanblades and send them after him.
Spider-Man continued to dodge around and had caused one of the arms to hit some of the tech that had been stolen and causing it to blow making the room flood faster with the Doctor calling out "NO! Without the Server it's too much!"
He'd began to get flashes of everything in the city that's been caught by cameras and all sorts of other stuff as it'd overwhelmed his brain causing him to drop Liz in the process as Spidey swung over to grab her. Docotor Octopus sent the claws to destroy the power connection shutting everything down.
"My lair, my plans, everything ruined. Congradulations Arachnid." He'd spoken before sending his arm to twist something activating a self destruct. "Farewell Arachnid." Doc Oct then stated getting into an escape pod and launching himself out of the soon to explode base.
Spider-man had tried to get to one of the pods as the place began to fall apart with the cage dropping below them followed by a large part of the cieling crashing down on top of him making the webslinger drop Liz onto the cage as he'd hit the ground hards and began to struggle trying to get it off of him. It'd been hard to move and he'd looked over at Liz and began to struggle harder as his muscles had began to rip apart his suit. He'd managed to get that thing off of him and Liz had finally woken up.
She'd seen Spider-Man coming over with his costume ripped and slid down to him into the water letting out a squeak and says "Cold, cold, cold, cold."
"It's gonna get colder if I don't get you out of here." He's tated having her hold onto him and he'd webbed the ceiling to pull them out of the water and over to an escape pod having her get in."Still one more I gotta get." He'd said before turning and swinging off grabbing Electro and getting back to the pod throwing him in. "Don't touch him he's still juiced."
The two then went over to the controls and Spider-Man then sealed the pod before ejecting it to get Liz to safety and Electro back into custody. They'd gotten to the docs where Spider-Man and Liz says "My family is probably worried sick we're supposed to be at the town square to watch the big ball drop."
"I'll.. I'll take you there, it'll be faster because of Doc Oct screwing with all the traffic systems anyway." and he'd taken her to swing off to there stopping atop one of the buildings and Liz starts to look around for her family so she could be dropped off there and thought 'Alright now or never parker.'
"Liz, I realize that a lot has happened, but do you.. hate me?" he'd then questioned which confused her to hear that. "I mean, you and Flash were a thing and after the thing with the tree and his legs.."
"No one hates you Spider-Man." Liz spoke putting a finger up to where his mouth should be thought they couldn't see it due to the mask he was wearing. "Well, except maybe the supervillains and Jameson from the Bugle anyway." She'd then joked about the whole hating him thing. "And Flash and I broke up months ago, I'll always care about him but I'm not going to hate you for what happened."
'Alright Parker quit scewing around, it's time you told her.' The webhead thought to himself "Well Liz, y'know I've grown to care about you at lot and.. um."
"You're sweet Spider-Man but there's already a guy I want to be in my life." She'd answered back saying that she wasn't interested in Spider-Man romantically.
"Who's that?" He'd questioned hearing that there was a guy she liked already and was curious to hear who.
"His name's Peter Parker. I call him Petey, a bit of a flake and nerd because of his job but he's really sweet." Liz told him and oyu could see the surprise on Spider-Man's face through the mask.
"Liz there's something you should know about Petey." The wallcralwer spoke as it was now her turn to look confuse.
He reached up towards his mask and Liz's expression went from confused to one of surprise as she'd seen him pull the mask off of himself revealing Peter Parker underneath and the ball began to drop showing numbers on the screen under it showing 10, 09.
"PETEY!?" She'd called totally caught by surprise seeing that it was Peter standing in front of her. 08, 07.
"Ya Liz, it's me." Peter answered back hoping for the best but starting to worry when she didn't respond right away. 06, 05. "Uh, Liz, you alright?" He'd questioned worried if this was a mistake or not 04, 03.
Liz didn't say anything and stepped forwards going towards Peter in in Spider-man costume before putting her arms around his neck. 02, 01. She'd then kissed Peter just as the jumpbo screen showed 00 followed by the words Happy New Year! as the ball reached the bottom of the pole it was going down and fireworks had began to go off around the two of them as he kissed her back.
"Happy New Year Petey." She'd then told him after they'd pulled away from the kiss and he'd put his mask back on.
"Happy New Year Liz." Spider-Man answered back and looked at the crowd below spotting her family he'd then taken her off to them safe and unharmed before swinging off.
Everyone at Town Square had heard Spider-Man letting out joyous cheers and yelling as he'd swung around the place celebrating wich had made Liz blush slightly because she'd just known he was doing all that because of her though she'd let out a small chuckle watching the theatrics.
