Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 02 Episode 10
Spider-Man was sitting atop a roog hsing his plumber's badge holocall feature to talk to Ben about something stating "Even after everything that happened he still plans on finding a way to become a hero."
"That does sound rough but there's not much we can do on our end, you want prosthetics you'll have to put in the paperwork to prchase them yourself, and the cheapest will drain nearly all of your account and put you in the red zone with your current pay grade." Ben answered back revealing they were talking about getting Flash prosthetic legs so he could be able to walk again.
"Well there's gotta be something, anything at all that could help." Spider-Man spoke continuing to talk about this subject.
"There is one thing but I don't think you're gonna like it, they're wanting to try finding a proper host for your oozy little friend. If he's a stubborn and hellbent on becoming a hero as you say.." The alien hero answered back about something they wanted to try.
"You wanna.. with VENOM!?" The wallcrlawer sputtered out hearing the idea that they had "Y..Uhb.. ALRIGHT FINE! Fine, but he joins MY team where I can keep an eye on them."
"Then we have an arrangement, go talk to Flash about the idea. We'll have him picked up Sunday, that should give them enough time to get their stuff together." Ben answered before being called away and so cut the feed.
"Gwen's gonna kill me for this." Spider-Man then spoke falling back onto the snow that was on top of the roof and putting his arm over his eyes with a sigh.
We then cut to Peter walking into the school yard with Liz running up and grabbing him by the arm before then pulling him off by the wrist with Mary Jane questioning "What's that about?"
"Oh you didn't hear? Peter and Liz are a couple now." Gwen had answered while they watched the two messing around outside.
"Oh no they're Not!" Sally spoke storming past them annoyed about the situation as the two just stood there surprised.
Later on Sally was still complaining and Liz tells her "Sal, just let me be happy." as she and Peter were walking around the halls.
"But it's throwing off the whole Demographic!" Sally then calls out still trying to get them to see reason, or rather, se her reason.
"You watch too many movies, real life High School doesn't generally have all that it's more like students trying not to bash their own brains in agains ttheir desk the whole time the teacher is talking than anything else really." Peter stated which made alsmost the entire group laugh, including Flash.
"And you're okay with all this?" Sally questions Flash who simply shrugs in response to the question surprisingly not caring.
"I'm over it, that was months ago we broke up. So long as Puny Parker here doesn't do anything stupid to upset or hurt Liz I'm happy for them." Flash stated being surprisingly more mature than people give him credit for and everyone stopped to stare at him. "Don't give me that look I can b-e.. Who is that?" He'd began to say but got distracted by a girl sitting on one of the benches in the hallway.
"New girl, Sha Shan. She just moved here couple days ago." Rhandy answered and Flash went over to talk to the girl.
"He's so gonna faceplant." Peter spoke watching Flash going over to go and talk to the new girl.
"Totally." Rhandy agreed watching as Flash had tried to flirt with the girl and had been talking about his birthday party but she'd shot him down. "Oof, Rejected."
Peter's spider sense went off and someone jumped on his back which he'd pulled off and thrown onto the floor before realizing who it was "Harry?"
"Hey Pete." Harry spoke slowly rolling to his side and rubbing his lower back. "Not exactly the greeting I was expecting. But then I probably shouldn't have tried with the.. y'know." He'd stated with Peter helping him up.
"Harry!" Gwen called hugging her friend glad that he was back from getting treatment for the green stuff.
"Hey Gwen, I've missed you too." Harry spoke glad to see both her and Peter as Liz had come over to say hi too.
"Hey Harry, anyone tell you what all happened while you were away yet?" Liz questioned while saying hello to Harry as she does so.
"About you and Pete, ya I heard. Congrats." Harry spoke but stops Peter for a second asking "Hey does she know about the uh?" while making a gesture to how Peter uses his webs.
"She does Harry, I told her before we started dating." Peter then answered back as the two then went in to deal with the boring stuff.
"I see, so you guys going to Flash's birthday party?" Harry questions asking if they'd gotten invited showing them the football shaped invite.
"I didn't get an invite." Gwen answered stating she wasn't invited to the party.
"Well, you could always go with, Invitation says I get a plus one. Get some free cake out of it." Harry then stated saying Gwen could go with him if she wanted. "What about you two?" He'd then questioned Peter and Liz.
"Flash's Ex remember, I didn't get one." Liz remind them saying that she didn't get an invite to the party.
"Actually I did." Peter stated showing them that he'd gotten one of the invites too. "You wanna be my date there?"
"Sure, we can all go together." Liz answered back saying yes to going as Peter's date to the party.
We then cut to Spider-Man swinging through the city when he'd heard an alarm going of and found a museum was being robbed and made his way in looking around to see who it was as his spider sense went off and he'd dodged a very large globe of sand that a statue had thrown at him.
"How do you always find me, you got some sort of spider sense or something?" The Sandman questioned revealing himself.
"Funny you should mention that." The wallcrawler answered back but was smacked into a wall. Though he'd used his webs to get himself free then went to web Sandman but he was already gone.
Spider-Man looked around at the various sculptures and thing and he'd walked past a mask on the wall that turned out to be Sandman and he'd knocked him into a hall of armory yelling "You keep getting in my way! Now I got a buywer willing to pay top black market dollar for the Urn of Morpheus and there's no way you're getting in the way of my big score!" He'd called while wrapping his hand around one of the urns there and basically swallowing it with his arm.
"Wait, are you taller?" Spider-Man then questioned while getting up having one of the helmets from some armor dropped onto his head in a way that he was now wearing it from where he'd fallen.
"Neat trick huh? See I kept loosing bits of sand and my lawyers had the prison feed me raw silicon so Now I can make as much as I want. And that's not all I can do." Sandman answered back sending out his arm and tentdrils from underneath them and grabbed four swords and began to attack Spider-Man as he continued to dodge.
"Sandy you're pathetic." The wallcrawler called out while jumping up to a hanging light fixture and dodging their attack.
"I'm Pathetic?" They'd yelled out hearing what Spider-Man had just called him getting angry, or well, angrier.
"Totally." Spider-man answered back throwing the helmet at Sandman's head making them break into a pile of mush before reforming. "With your powers you could do real good and help people. But no instead you're wasting it on all the same stupid crimes Flint Marco committed."
Sandman put down the swords and changed most of himself back to normal and left the urn on the floor. "You really think I can be a hero?" He'd questioned going up to Spider-Man.
"Ya, with Great Power comes Great"GULIBILITY!"" Spider-man began to say but was then cut off by Sadman who hit him with his fist in the shape of a hammer and then began to laugh before changing himself into a large ball and rolled away knocking over a squad car as he went.
Spider-Man let out a sigh and then we cut to Peter sitting on his front porch as Harry pulled up in a lime green convertible car and honking at them. Peter then got up and went over saying "Nice ride." while hopping in though Liz was shaking in the backseat.
"Hurry up, it's freezing." Liz stated to them moving over to sit closer to Peter trying to get warm.
"I tried to tell them not to have the top down but he just insists." Gwen stated as Harry began to drive off.
"If we're showing up in a convertible we're showing up in a convertible." Harry then stated about the car he was driving.
"Alright turn left up here at the corner." Peter told Harry as he did so before then continuing to say "Now stop." and so he did now in front of Flash's house.
"Wow, when you said right around the corner you ment it." Harry stated about how short of a drive that was.
They'd gone in and heard Sally asking "Who invited the Geek Squad?" and see that she was gesturing towards them.
"Got an invite." Peter stated holding up his invitation to the party showing that they weren't crashing the party.
Flash's mom says "Of course he was sent an invitation, he was Flash's best friend." stating that she was the one to send him the invite.
This actually surprised everyone to hear that Flash and Peter used to be best friend with Flash stating "Ya, back in Nursery School."
"Wait, Flash was part of the Nerd Herd?" Sally then questions hearing that Flash actaully was friends with Peter.
"Who do you think gave Eugene his nickname, certainly wasn't because he could run fast." Peter then stated gesturing to a photo of Flash as a kid running without pants on.
"I WAS FOUR!" Flash called defensively about how he'd gotten his nickname from Peter teasing him.
Well they'd started to enjoy the festivities of the party and Peter slipped away to change into costume as the others were chatting. We then see Spider-Man dangling from a webline on the ceiling. "This a private event, or can I join too?" He'd questioned.
"Really Flash, you had to get a Fake Spider-Man too?" Sally questions not believe he was the real deal.
"We never hired a fake Spider-Man to come to the party." Flash's mom stated saying that they didn't do that.
"It's really me." Spider-Man stated walking over to the couch and picking it up, along with Glory, Kenny, Sally, and Rhandy who were sitting on it all at once before setting them back down. "Now I need to borrow the Birthday Boy for just a bit."
The wallcrawler then pushed Flash's chair into the kitchen so they'd be able to talk alone for a bit. "What do you wanna talk to me about?" The, let's face it, former Quarterback then asked once they were alone.
"I was able to talk to Plumbers into helping out with the Prosthetics, but there's a small catch. You still wanna play the hero?" Spider-man then stated to Flash about the situation and asked if he still wanted to be a hero.
"More than anything. I'll do whatever it takes to become a hero." Flash answered back about his question.
"Remember the black costume I had? Turns out it was actually an alien symbiote that tried to mess with my head, called itself Venom after it took over someone else. They're looking for someone to tame it. They're offering you the chance to try. Don't tell your mom about that part, once you're ready you'll be joining my team so I can keep an eye on the Venom Symbiote and make sure the same doesn't happen to you." The Wallcrawler told him in response "Be ready, they'll be coming to get you tomorrow."
"Cool, I get to become a superhero and get cool powers from an alien species, it's like getting to be Spider-Man and Ben 10 at the same time." The wheelchair bound teen then spoke thinking that sounded cool despite what Spider-Man just told him.
Spidey then wheeled Flash back out to the others before his badge had gotten a call about a tanker being attacked. "That's my cue." Spider-Man then spoke as he then headed off to go deal with that as Gwen slipped away from the party too.
The two then headed off to the Oil Tanker and Spider-Man calls out "C'mon Sandman we know you're here. Doesn't matter how big you get we're taking you down."
The two began fighting Sandman after he'd shown up now being much much bigger than the last time and the fighting had damaged the ship while the crew were floating in life rafts. The fighting had caused the oil to leak out and the sparks from the metal scraping against itself set that oil on fire.
"Great, now the place is on fire, today just keeps getting better." Ghost Spider spoke as she and Spider-man continued to fight Sandman as one of the crew that hadn't escaped began to fall from the sinking ship and Sandman caught them.
"We gotta get everyone else to safety." Spider-man called as the two fo them worked their way up towards where the remaining crew were gathered.
Sandman had grabbed the crew and slid them down to safety calling "I was just in it for the money, I never meant for any of this to happen." Before then grabbing both Ghost Spider and Spider-Man throwing them at the beach and used his massive sized arms to push the water so that the crew in the liftboats would float over to the beach as well.
Sandman then wrapped himself around the boat as it'd exploded instantly flashfrying him in the process and turning him into glass with Ghost Spider saying "The heat from the explosion must have glazed him." watching as the glass began to crumble and break apart sinking into the water below.
"He always wanted a big score, as far as I'm concerned he just scored about as big as a man can." Spider-Man stated as the two of them then began to swing off into the distance as the sand swirled on the beach and we see that Flint Marco was still alive before he then blew away in the wind.
