Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 03 Episode 03
Some crooks were stealing something and two of them were tripped by some webbing as the third took their bags and tried to run but a web picked up the dumpster next to them and dropped it over them so they'd be trapped inside it. The Webs then dangled the other two crooks upside down by the fire escape as a squad car had come over.
One of the cops noticed that the one that took care of the guys was waring a mostly white costume with black around the face and for the spider sigil on their chest. "Hey there, you one of the spiders in a new costume or another new guy?" one of the cops called and the Spider themed individual webbed them and their partner down before making the crook give them the stolen goods and swinging away.
We then cut to the lab of Dr. Connors where Colonel John Jameson was struggling with something and Dr. Connors tells him "Stay calm take deep breaths."
"Deep breaths? That's all you got? His clothes are shrinking right off of him." Jonah says to them gesturing to his son.
"Actually he's getting bigger." Harry stated as Jameson gave them an angry look with the former continuing to say "Not that that helps."
John had tried to get up and accidentally broken some lab equipment by accident and was struggling with balance as Jameson grabbed his son saying "I got you Johnny."
However John says "no pop, stay away." and tried to move further away from anyone breaking through a wall by accident.
Seeing this Miles tells Debrah "No wonder this lab goes through funding so quickly." as John had come back in calmer now.
"It's okay, I think the attack's over now. And hey, I taught that wall a thing or two." John stated to them gesturing to the hole he'd made.
"Are you joking about this?" Jameson questions his son while Curt had come over with something in a box.
"This should help. Why don't you try it on in my office. Carefully." Dr. Connors told John handing him a box to go and get changed into whatever was inside of it with Gwen opening the door for him to get changed.
"What's happening to my son?" Jameson demanded while John was off getting changed into whatever he had been given.
"He was exposed to the lifeform that was on the hull of his space shuttle." Conners stated to them about that.
"Cololen Jameson was infected by the Syb..uh by the life form?" Peter questioned hearing what had happened.
"Actually he's been infected with microscopic spores that hitched a ride on the life form. The way that gum would stick to a shoe. We've been tracking his condition for months. Since entering the colonel's system the spores have multiplied exponentially." Curt explained to them letting Jameson see through a microscope what was going on.
"Dr. Connors thinks they mave have originated on a high-mass high-gravity world like Jupiter." Gwen then went on to continue the explination about what happened.
"I don't care if they're from Jersey, if those Sporks aren't out of my son in four point two seconds I'll"It's just not that symple Jameson. My Gene Cleanser had no effect on them. Neither did extreme heat or cold."" Dr. Connors then stated to them cutting Jameson off.
"There was some limited success destroying invidiual spores with electricity but in the mean time."I get to wear the fancy suit."" Curt began to say but was cut off by John who'd come back in to talk with them. I hear it's all the rage on jupiter." He'd joked wearing a green and yellow suit with a metal head covering and heavy boots with a small monitor screen on it.
"You look like a fool superhero." Jonah told his son about the outfit that he was currently wearing now.
"The Spores are altering your mass, making you heavier, stronger. This uh, Jupiter suit will slow you down. It will regulate your heart rate and help you fuction in earth's normal gravity." Curt then explained to them about the outfit that they were wearing currently.
"Plus the ladies love a man in uniform." The coloenl says in response about having to wear the new costume.
"It's good to maintain your sense of humor, any personality changes might imply the spore are chemically altering your mind as well." Curt tells him saying that it shows they haven't had their mind messed with yet at least.
We then cut to Jameson whistling for a cab and saying "I gotta get to the paper but I'll drop you off at home first." while waving for the cap to stop.
"Mind if i tag alon? I got a check waiting at the Bugal." Peter asked if he could go to while the cab had come to a stop.
"Sure kid get in, we can split the fare." Jameson tells him as the three get in and the back of the car scraped agains the ground.
"Sorry, guess that's the sound of me kissing a normal life goodbye." John stated with a sigh as they'd been riding in the cab.
"Well maybe shutting the door on normal can open the window to some""What are you babbling about Parker? He's infected."" Peter began to say but was cut off by Jonah who questions what he's on about while the Driver looked worried though Jonah says "He's not contageous eyes front."
"I'm just saying he's been given great power, so maybe Great Responsi.." Peter began to say but was cut off by Jonah's phone ringing so he'd have to answer it.
"What?" Jameson questioned bfore sounding happier asking "What?" again and then a third time saying "What?" before pulling the phone away and pointing at it saying "There's a spider on a crime spree wearing a white and black costume."
"What?" Peter questions surprised before thinking 'Great, what have you done now Flash? So much for a second chance.'
Jameson meanwhile was saying "I want everyone on it. Victim stories, eye witness accounts, the works. I can see the headline now Oh what a tangled web we weave." getting excited about making a spider look bad. "I' finally got what I need to take one of these wall crawlers.. down.." He'd spoken while looking at his son before saying into his phone "Hold the front page Robbie I'll call you back." befor ehanging up and looking at John and saying "You can take this menace down."
"Uhh, excuse me?" John questioned confused while looking at his father asking just what he was on about.
"Look at you, you got the costume, the powers all you need is a hero name. I got one, how about Colonel Jupiter?" Jameson questioned his son about becoming a superhero to take that webslinger down.
"But, Pop.. You hate superheroes." John then reminded him about not liking superheros still confused about the situation.
"What? When did I say that exactly?" Jameson then questions his son not recalling hating Superheroes. "I said I hate Masked heroes, i mean what do they have to hide anyway? But you Johnny Boy, you can be the one to bring them to justice. You're an astronaut everyone already knows and loves you."
We then cut to Spider-Man along with Ghost Spider and Agent Venom as the three were swinging through the air with Agent Venom saying "I'm telling you, it wasn't us. Rhandy can vouch for us." as they'd continued to swing together.
"No one's saying that it is you, just that it sounds like you." Ghost Spider stated to him as they'd continued to swing.
Spider-Man however then states "I'm gonna give you the benifit of the doubt since someone's already masquerded as me once before so it's not outside the realm of possibility of being framed."
They'd heard screeching and saw that an armored truck had been swerving and had crashed over as the three went to help. 'Wait a moment, we sense another us.' the voice in Flash's head spoke telling him that there was another them around.
"Another us?" Agent Venom questions aloud while lifting up the armored truck to set it back onto it's wheels while Spider-Man was seeing if the driver was okay.
"Check ou these, webs. They're too bring to be any of our webbing." Ghost Spider stated seeing the webs on the window of the truck.
'Above us. We must go now!' The voice spoke telling Flash to get up to above where they are and in a hurry.
"Guys, follow us." Agent Venom called before racing up the wall using their webbing with Spider-Man and Ghost Spider hot on their tail.
They'd gotten to the top and found Agent Venom fighting with what looked like was Venom when they'd taken over eddie but with a white costume and black spider sigil on their body along with a mostly black covered face and it'd let out a screech and hissed at the group but paused seeing Spider-Man.
Agent Venom had charged at them and tackled them into the wall trying to forcibly hold them down demanding "Who are you, and why do you feel like us!?" however the white costumed one had let out a hiss in response. "ANSWER US!"
Spider-Man and Ghost Spider had walked closer with the white costumed one stuttering out "B-r-o." slowly.
"Wait, EDDIE?" Spider-Man questions while the one in white had pushed to force itself free and let out an inhuman screech at them and hissed at the group as they'd began to fight again.
Someone wearing a familiar suit had landed onto the roof damaging it with Spider-Man saying "We really gotta work on your landings Johnboy." having recognized them since y'know their face was exposed.
"It's uh, Colonel Jupiter actually." John, now going by Colonel Jupiter stated to them as the one in white let out an angry hiss at them. "What, is that?" He'd then questioned seeing that thing.
"That one's not a part of the cluster." Spider-Man stated to them explaing to him that it wasn't a member of his team.
"Uh, cluster?" Agent Venom questioned as the voice in their head says 'A cluster is what you call a group of spiders. Much like how a group of wolves is called a pack.' which he then responds to by saying "Right, I knew that."
This confused Colonel Jupiter and he questions "Who is he talking to?" while gesturing over to Agent Venom.
"Long story, right now we gotta focus on handling this guy." Spider-Man anwered back as the white and black clad one had thrown large broken piping at them letting out a screech as they do so and began trying to get away from them.
They'd tried to chase after them but they'd managed to get away. "We'll have to conclude the search some other time. We've got prior engagements to get to." Ghost Spider stated saying that they needed to leave for something important.
"What's more important than finding this guy?" Colonel Jupiter questions wanting to know just what could take priority over that.
"We have to report to the Plumbers at least once a week." Agent Venom stated to him saying that they had to turn in a report to the agency.
"After that Spider-Man and I need to continue work on a project that's going to help make finding where that guy disappears to easier." Ghost Spider then spoke up too saying that she and Spider-Man were working on something.
They'd all split off from there and later on the next day they'd been at school where Flash had turned Peter from his locker wanting to talk with him still using the crutches to keep up appearances at school.
"Sha Shan Nguyen, last time I tried to ask her out she just laughed in my face. It's like she's immune to me." Flash stated to Peter while looking over at Sha Shan who was talking with some other girls.
"That's because she's got a brain Flash." Peter then stated back with a sigh about how Flash couldn't handle being rejected.
"Exactly, so you're gonna help me find a way to get a date with her." The blond stated back to him wanting to get her to date him. "Somehow you got both Liz and that smoking hot babe Black Cat to like you so tell me how to get a date."
"Well, you could try taking an interest in what she likes." Peter then suggested while gesturing over to where she was signing a large paper on the wall that reads Audition sign up sheet. on it that was tacked onto the door of the theater lab.
"Drama huh.." Flash begins to ponder considering it before stating "How hard could it be." and went off to sign up.
We then get later on as the three were swinging once more around the city trying to find this spider in white that had been around attacking various places and Colonel Jupiter had joined them calling out "SPIDER-MAN!" as he'd been charging forwards.
"Yo, any luck?" Spider-Man calls back towards them as they'd stopped stomping his way over in his running.
"Ya, they just attacked me in my home. We need to find this guy before he attacks anyone else." They'd called back stating about what happened to them.
'We sense the other they are close.' the voice in Flash's head stated to them and Agent Venom calls "They're close, follow us!" and began to lead the way.
