Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 03 Episode 05
We see that Peter was in a class being taught by Gwen's dad along with Hobie, Flash, Liz, and a few others. Though noticably Gwen wasn't in the class that day and Captain Stacy says "Someone needs to watch your back that's why all our officers have partners in the field. For example if Mr. Thompson and Mr. Parker shared a squad car." He'd began to say but the bell rang so they had to head off before he could finish what he was saying.
Peter had gone over to his locker and Harry had come over to talk and seen the phone that Peter had in his locker asking "Dude, is that the OsCorp OsBerry?" while taking the phone from his friend's locker to check it out. "GPS, internet, holographic display. This is a prototype it's not even on the market yet. How'd you get one?"
"Your dad gave it to me." Peter stated which seemd to make Harry feel sad that he didn't get one too, thought he then quickly added. "He said he wanted to make sure they were working properly before you got one. I think he's using me as a guinnie pig."
"Petey." Liz called coming over to them before asking "Itlian or French?" though Peter had assumed she ment classes.
"Uh, Spanish actually. Next period." Peter answered back though it seems that isn't what she'd been asking about.
"Hello, our dinner tonight." She'd then reminded him looking concerned wondering if he'd forgotten.
"I gotta drop by the other job after school, but don't worry I got reservations on hold." Peter answered back.
We then cut to Peter at the Bugal where he'd heard Jonah yelling about some Silvermane story and refusing to cover and sending Mr. Foswell out of his office. Peter goes up and say "Mr. Foswell I couldn't help overhearing, Jonah volume and all. You wanted some pictures for your Slivermane Big Man story?"
"I'm not sure there is a story anymore." Foswell stated to Peter with a sigh rubbing the back of his neck as he'd been waiting for the elevator.
'I'm not sure there is one either, but if the Big Man's involved it's worth checking out.' Peter thought to himself before getting between Foswell and the elevator holding up his camera saying "Maybe some pictures will change the jolly one's mind."
We then cut to later on with Peter zooming in onto the doors of a fancy place and someone comes out that he'd recognized and they'd come over seeing Peter. They then say "Hey Pete, thanks for meeting me." while taking off the disguise revealing it had been Foswell.
'Does everyone have a secret identity?" Peter thought to himself seeing that this guy had been wearing a disguise too.
Foswell then reveals a device that allowed them to hear what's going on inside. "Patch planted a bug on Menken."
"That's great Mr. Foswell, but why do we care exactly?" Peter stated hearing that and the elder man hands him an envelope with different clippings to go through.
"Silvio Manfredi used to run this town until the feds put him away and the Big Man took over. But now that Silvermane is getting out there'll be a gang war for control of the city. Silvermane's old guard versus the big man's status quo versus Doc Oct's new breed of weirdos in costumes." He'd explained while Peter went through the clippings.
"So what are they all bidding on exactly?" Peter questioned exactly what they were after in the auction being held as they spoke.
"The keys to the city, the specs to mass produce an army of Rhino armored super mercenaries." He'd answered back.
They'd heard that Kingsly won the auction and where to go in order to claim the jump drive and Peter says "I'm gonna go ahead to get a good spot for photos."
"Okay kid but keep your distance, I'm calling in the cops and don't want you caught in the crossfire." Foswell called telling him not to get too close.
We then cut to Spider-Man and Agent Venom hiding out in a good spot from one of the signs as the cops had already come and stopped Menken's car. "Hey seems like this is gonna be easier than expected." The latter stated about the situation as an armored helicopter appeared above them.
"You had to say something, didn't you?" Spider-Man questioned as the two of them had then began to get to work with Spidey webbing his camera to the inside of the letter O of the building they were hiding on.
Spidey had jumped onto the helicopter but someone kicked him out and into a window of the building that was nearby causing him to drop onto the crates inside the warehouse while Agent Venom had gone after Menken's car.
A woman had jumped from the helicopter as it'd shot the car and caused it to become damaged "Hey, I wasn't done with that!" Agent Venom called firing a web at the woman who'd dodged it.
"Oh, too bad. But I'm getting that prize." The woman stated shooting.. were those giant staples? Ya, she was shooting giant staples from her gun at them.
While they were doing that Spider-Man had webbed the box that Menken had paid for and taken it away and Hammerhead had ran towards them hitting Menken's car and causing it to fall off the side of the dock.
"And here all this time I thought they called you hammerhead because you had a thing for sharks." Spider-Man taunted having dodged their attack.
"Steel plated." Hammerhead stated knocking on his head as we hear a clang while he does so to emphasize his point.
They'd dodged some oncoming attacks as the woman shot rockets at Agent Venom who dodged and asked "Rockets? Yo, how did we go from staples to rocket? Where's the consistency here?"
"Consistency, that's a big word for you." Spider-Man teased while showing that he's still got the box that they were after.
"Don't you start." Agent Venom called telling Spider-Man not to start teasing him now. 'Well, we were the one to teach them the word.' the voice stated inside of Flash's head. "You Either!" Agent Venom then called to the Symbiote though only he could hear them.
"So, you gonna introduce yourself or what?" Spider-Man then called to them asking the woman her name so they'd know what to call her.
"Call me, Silver Sable." The woman said throwing some sharp weaponry at them and damaging the cables holding up the crate they were on making it drop partially and her chopper began to shoot at them making Spidey drop the box with Sable and Hammerhead fighting over it.
While they were fighting Agent Venom webbed the box swinging off with it landing atop a crane and opening it finding that the box was empty and thrown it at them. "Spider-Man it's empty." They'd called and the two swing off to go and find Menken to get the real drive.
By the time they'd found them the Rhino had also joined in the fight as he'd called "I don't need no competition, give me that Drive!" while trying to get it away from Sable and Hammerhead who'd beaten the two there.
"Yo Rhino, you wanna destroy that drive too right? I know I'm gonna regret asking but, how about teaming up to destroy it?" Spidey then called out to Rhino asking if they could work together to break it.
Rhino naturally had started laughing at them but then says "Okay." agreeing to that and Sable had started shooting at Rhino but his armor was too thick for her staples.
"Staples, seriously?" Rhino questioned as the attack had just bounced off of him, what's next a big pencil?"
"Tell me about it." Agent Venom agreed at how stupid that was and Rhino grabbed them throwing Agent Venom and Spider-Man both at them with the two kicking Sable and Hammerhead making them drop the drive as Rhino then stomped on the box breaking it entirely.
"Hold up, just to be sure." Spidey then called and jumped up through one of the holes in the roof going up to the top floor and webbed Menken making sure he didn't have the drive, or a copy finding it in their pocket and says "Pleasure doing buisness." before rejoining the others and throwing the Drive at Rhino who slamed his hands together and crushed it in the process.
"Daddy was so right to fire you!" Sable called to Hammerhead angry that they didn't get the drive and jumped onto her helicopter grabbing hold and having it fly them away.
"That's what I get for taking pitty on the boss' daughter." Hammerhead stated getting into the car and having them drive away.
Once that was over Spider-Man and Agent Venom both had taken down Rhino after he tried to attack them and we then see Peter showing up at Liz's apartment looking at his watch saying "Two minutes to spare." and let out a sigh of relief knocking on the door.
Liz had answered and was wearing a form fitting red dress and heels along with a choker that matched and was ready to go saying "Hey, you actually made it on time."
