Spider-Man: Spectacular Season 03 Episode 08
Peter had been in contact with Ben and was talking to him about the plans for what they'd be doing. "This place is a mad house Ben, the power vacuume created when we took down the big three Goblin swooped in and took over. Anti-Venom and Colonel Jupiter are out looking for them now and will be calling in once they find anything, and the rest of the Cluster will join them after school."
"Right, be careful and don't hesitate to call for back up if you guys need it." Ben stated to him saying that they'd need to be safe and call if required to do so.
"We will, for now I've got a couple of people I'd like to try to find and get the help from." He'd answered the alien hero back talking to them on the plumber's badge. "And speaking of, one of them's dad was the man that.." He'd paused having to remember what happened before then saying "Anyway, he's a man name Walter Hardy is there any way we can get him from prison into a rehabilitation program or something?"
"The Plumbers do it all the time. We'll send over the paperwork for you at the next shimpent in a few days." Ben answered back saying that he'd send Peter the paperwork. "Now you gotta get to school, over and out." Ben then cut the feed from the call on the badge.
Peter leaned back in his chair letting out a sigh to himself about what to do while putting his badge away and got a message from Gwen saying Come over to my house A.S. ! on it and so he'd headed going straight there and found Harry sitting on her couch.
"Uh, before you start Pete let me explain." Harry spoke wanting to have his say and Peter sat down waiting for him to explain. "I've already explained to Gwen about the green, and you already know about it too. We thought that it'd caused me to become the Goblin, but now I'm not so sure."
"Thought, as in past tense? Explain." Peter spoke wanting him to continue to fill them in on everything going on.
"This is where it gets confusing, I was attacked recently by someone wearing the Goblin Tech." Harry explained to them. "I know what you're thinking, but no. I wasn't juiced at the time, I was tempted but I destroyed what was left of the stash I had hidden."
"I believe you Harry, but if it's not you then that would mean my intial hunch was right." Peter then told him about what he'd thought. "I saw Goblin go into your family's penthouse. through the balcony entrance."
"You think Goblin is my dad?" Harry questioned hearing what Peter stated about what he'd seen regarding the Goblin.
"No one's saying it's him for sure Harry, but that is strange for Goblin to do that." Gwen then added to what was being said.
"I'll, go and talk to him about everything." Their friend stated saying he'd gon and talk to his dad about the whole thing.
"Right, and I'll be close by just in case while the Cluster handles the city." Peter stated saying that he'd be there when he talked to him.
Spider-Man had been listening in while Harry explained what happened recently to his dad and a load of Pumpkin Bombs went off under the balcony with Spider-Man now dangling from a web line. "Okay I really need to get a self assembling fiber material for my costume." He'd stated and heard a familiar laugh as another pumpkin bomb was thrown at him and he'd dodged it.
"Think fast, think faster. Tonight you're in a particularly unfriendly neighbourhood Spider-Man." The Goblin spoke appearing to attack them firing the lasers from his fingertips as they'd dodged and used a webline to start pulling himself up though Goblin cut it with their glider before adding "Although I will admit, you have an annoying tendancy to survive. The Green Goblin has every contigency in place to test the outer limits of that tallent."
"You're not the first one to try to test that Gobbie, and you certainly won't be the last." Spider-Man called out while trying to slow his descent towards the ground and finding a way to do so before Goblin then tired to attack with the blade hidden inside the mouth of his glider.
Though Spidey managed to web up their eyes as he'd dodged and so Goblin had flown off allowing him to get back up there to the Norman and Harry. "Okay, that was the real Gobbie. Not just the voice but how he carried himself, the fighting style, it all matched."
"Who else had access to the green?" Harry questioned and Norman immediately began to call Oscorp saying "Security this is OsBorn, grab Donald Menken.." Norman spoke into the phone and listents to what the security had to say before adding "Then get me his home address, now.. The only people that could do that are myself and Menken. Find him Now!" before then hanging up.
"Who is this Menken guy?" Spidey questioned him wanting to know what's going on from Norman.
"Donald Menken was the only other man at Oscorp who had any knowledge of the Globulin Green." Norman explained to them "He's gone underground, attacked my son and betrayed me. I promise you Spider-Man I will find him."
We then cut to much later on that day where Peter was sitting with Liz and he'd seemd distracted. "Petey, are you alright?"
"No, no I'm not. For the third time in my life I'm not okay Liz." Peter answered back putting his head in his hands and used his elbows to prop himself up. "The Goblin's back, he attacked Harry, and now that there's a power vaccume he's swooped in to take over and is starting to overrun the place. I'm worried about you, about Aunt May, and everyone else who can't fight back against him."
"Petey, you're stressed. You gotta remember that isn't not just you out there. Plus, you have Ben 10 on speed dial. If that's not the biggest trumph card on the planet then I don't know what is." His girlfriend reminded him saying he didn't have to do this alone helping to calm him down a bit in the process.
"Thanks Liz." Peter spoke feeling better thanks to her. "I want you to stay in tonight, with all the crazyness out there it's safer if you do." He'd added in and she'd nodded agreeing to stay home that night.
We then see Spider-Man coming in alongside the rest of The Cluster just as Norman was getting the information saying "Nine 'o nine Barrow Street top floor. Thanks Gargan, cheque's in the mail." though by the time he finished Spider-Man and his team had already left overhearing.
"Let's go." Harry says as he goes up towards the roof where there was a helicopter waiting for them. "I sorta told OsCorp you ordered a chopper, figured you and I would want some face time with Goblin comma Menken." as they'd gotten inside and strapped into the pilot's seat.
They'd found Menken but some purple gas began to fill the air but Colonel Jupiter bashed the window open with Goblin calling "Well now that's just no fun." while throwing a pumpkin bomb at them.
"Neither are you Gobby." Anti-Venom called webbing the bomb and swinging it around back at Goblin as it'd exploded knocking him off the glider though he'd quickly used a remote control on his wrist to make it come back to him.
They'd chased after Goblin but the water towers on top of the buildings around opened up revealing guns that were blasing a buttload of Pumking Bombs forcing them to have to dodge the attacks before seeing the idiots wearing pumpking masks on their heads around too.
"Great, the Gob Squad." Agent Venom spoke as they and everyone else again had to dodge though Colonel Jupiter was able to block the incoming attacks and send them back at the group causing them to scatter.
The were then attacked by some of the Gob Squad on flying vehicles and Spider-Man says "Oh that's just perfect, more of these idiots." as he and the other spider themed heroes webbed the eyes of the masks and the see through domes on the bottom causing them to fly blind with Colonel Jupiter smashing them and throwing the guys on the devices onto the rooftops.
"This is really starting to get on my nerves." CJ states to them as they'd continued to chase Goblin all around the city.
"I know what you mean." Ghost Spider called as she'd webbed Goblin by the back of the head and pulled hard trying to yank them of fthe glider, but only succeeded in pulling off the mask revealing that it was actually Norman after all.
"The other one must have been Cameleon." Spider-Man told them which Harry had also assumed pulling on the face of the Norman that he was with revealing it was the Cameleon who jumped from the chopper and used a parachute to escape.
"I told you I invented the green, of course I wasnt fool enough to drink it. But in small doses in gaseous form increased my strength, agility, intellingence with no black outs and no loss of control." The real Norman told them blasting at the heroes with a laser from his fingertips.
"So you've been working with the Camileon this whole time?" Ani-Venom spoke about Norman being the real Goblin.
"Good thing I thought to call in someone you wouldn't have expcted to join in this fight." Spider-Man then called out as they were dodging the attacks from Norman.
"Oh really, and who exactly would that be?" Norman questioned as he'd slammed into a wall of sand that appeared out of no where and Black Cat had slid down it clawing at the wing of the glider slicing through it and cutting it off.
"Sorry we're late, had to do a little convincing to come and play." Cat then explained as the sand stretched outwards for her to stand on.
"Eh, crazy catlady tried to use me as a littler box." A familiar voie spoke as the upper sand had taken on the shape of one Flint Marko A.K.A. Sandman.
"Black Cat, Sandman? Okay I'm confused." Ghost Spider spoke saying that she wasn't in the loop of just what's going on.
"Earlier I asked Ben to get Cat's dad into a rehabilitation program on my call with Ben, who'd told me that the Plumbers did a second scan of everything that happened and found footage that showed Marco survived." Spider-Man then began to explain about what's going on.
"Spidey came and found me to tell me the good news and asked if I could help find Sandman." Cat then told them picking up where Spider-Man had left off.
"Well the Cat then hunted me down asking for help. And when we'd learned how Goblin planned on handling things I started filling the rigged places with sand so they couldn't load. Guess we didn't get to enough of them in time." Sandman spoke as Norman tried to activate all the remaining places but the'd been too weighted down to move.
"Cool, you might wanna.." Agent Venom spoke gesturing to Norman who was about to get away and Flint wrapped them in a ring of sand holding them in place until they could get him into cuffs.
"So now we just wrap up the rest of the remaining gob patrol and head back to The Nest for drinks?" CJ questioned them asking if that was all they had left to do.
"CJ, you Sandman and Norman are the only three here old enough to drink." Anti-Venom stated surprising basically everyone who didn't know the identities of the other heroes to know that fact. "Also, The Nest?"
"Well ya, we've been calling our group The Cluster, and that's where you find a cluster of spiders is in a nest so.." Colonel Jupiter spoke reminding them of that little bit of information.
"I kinda like it." Ghost Spider spoke saying she liked the idea of calling their base The Nest.
"Alright we'll deliver Norman then take on the remaining Gob Squad." Spider-Man told them as they'd found Captain Stacy and dropped the broken glider next to his car making him spill his coffee in the process.
"Anyone order a Goblin?" Agent Venom spoke up as Sandman then dropped Norman onto the squad car close enough he wouldn't hurt anything.
"Be prepared for a shipment of Gob Squad goons soon." Spidey then told them as he and the group all then began to head off clearing out everything.
