Zolar Forest, Planet Quantos
"Where the heck are we?" Ratchet said, beginning to search around the area.
Quark, being his stuck-up self, tried to spin this in his favor. "Beats me. Perhaps a leisurely stroll through this uncharted jungle will solve the mystery! Marooned on a hostile alien planet. Captain Qwark realized his rescue mission would inevitably pit him against the most terrifying evil of all: nature itself."
"You are so lucky I can't shoot you in your butt right now. We need to focus, Aphelion said this planet has intelligent life. They may know how to fix the ship." Ratchet said, going with Qwark through the ship's wreckage path. However they ended up here, they caused huge damage to the local flora.
Ratchet and Qwark continued down the path, taking care of small creatures along the way. They soon hit a waterfall. Quark looked to the other side and saw a bridge crank. "Okay, slight problem. I'm not so good at swimming. I would go do it myself but…this water is gonna be murder on my spandex."
The Lombax rolled his eyes. "Just wait here. I'll find you another way across." He jumped onto the small rocks scattered across the waterfall's edge.
Outskirts of Zolar Forest, Planet Quantos
"Okay, I'm stuck somewhere I don't know. At least this isn't new to me." The keyblade wielder said to himself, looking around for some sign of life. Over in the distance, he saw a large fortress seemingly made of a mossy stone in the far off distance. "Well, if there's a fortress here..clearly someone lives or has lived here…"
The hero said, making an effort to at least make it to the structure.
Zolar Forest, Planet Quantos
Fighting through the forest, Ratchet eventually made it to a waterlogged area. A creature known as a Fongoid, came up to him. She looked to be in a huge panic. "Oh, help! Help! Please, please help me! My children— They're in danger! We were making our way back to the village when Zyphoids attacked us!"
"What seems to be the problem?" Qwark said, completely oblivious to what the woman just said.
"Qwark, stay here. I'll go save the children." Ratchet said, going off in search of the woman's missing children. Heading down one path, Ratchet eventually came across a young Fongoid. He was surrounded by Zyphoids! "Hey, little guy…don't move!"
The child was too scared to move an inch. Ratchet quickly swept the area of any Zyphoids and ran up the child. "Woah..are you a real Lombax? I thought all of you guys were dead…" He said, smiling once he felt safe. "Can you take me to my mommy now?"
Ratchet chuckled, putting the kid on his shoulders. "Sure kid. Let's get you back."
Soon they got back to the worried mother, who was extremely happy to see one of her children safe and sound. "You found Brax, you're my hero!" She said, smiling. She pointed out where she thought her two other children were, which Ratchet ran after and collected. Once all three children were safe and sound, Ratchet let out a huge sigh of relief. "The Zyphoids will be back soon. Come, we have to get into the village."
"Just what are those things?" Ratchet asked, keeping his blaster at the ready in case more Zyphoids decided to make an appearance.
" Mutated viruses from the Korthos Sector. We haven't seen them on this planet in years. Something must have happened to the Zoni…they keep this planet safe. Something must be wrong if those creatures started to show up again…" She said, walking a bit before giving a knock. "Alpheus, open the door!"
The giant stone door in front of them slowly opened, revealing another Fongoid dressed in clothing that made him important. He must be a chief or leader of some sort. He looked angry that the woman brought outsiders to their village.
Fongoid Village, Planet Quantos
The young keyblade wielder made it to the fortress at last. Though what he saw there was a terrible sight. Mushroom like creatures as well as Shadows seemed to be terrorizing the inhabitants. He jumped down from the wall and started swinging his blade. The creatures that lived here were scared of what was going on, but once they saw the human was a friendly creature, they smiled knowing they were safe.
"You guys gotta hide!" He said, urging them to get far away. He looked over to his left, seeing this yellow rabbit thing and a guy in a green suit walk into the village. A neoshadow appeared behind them, ready to strike. Using some of his magic, the wielder jumped behind them, destroying the heartless.
"What the heck was that?!" Ratchet said, turning around. "What the heck are you?"
"I wish I could say a talking creature was the strangest thing I've ever seen." The wielder said. "The name's Sora and I'm a human. What are you?"
"A Lombax. Guessing you're not from around here are ya?" He mentioned.
