5:29 P.M. – Somewhere in Another Dimension

Ashley made a perfect three-point landing for once, having been prepared this time for another dimensional jump.

Unable to tear her gaze away from the myriad Quantum Rifts opening and closing at complete random, Ashley hoped that she could find something, anything, that would help her on her mission before it was too late.

"Glitch, do you know where we are now?" Ashley asked.

After a couple seconds to scan the immediate area, Glitch displayed a holographic map of their surroundings.

"This appears to be a version of planet Cordelion, specifically the Kedaro Station," Glitch answered.

And that piqued Ashley's interest.

"W-Wait, Kedaro Station on Cordelion?! That's where a Rubicon Forge is located in my own dimension!" Ashley gasped. "Do you think there might be one on this version?"

"It would appear so, but even I am not sure," Glitch responded. "My scanning software could only map out the nearby area. We will have to actually infiltrate Kedaro Station in order to see if they have a working Rubicon Forge."

"At this point, I'm willing to take that chance," Ashley admitted. "All right, Glitch, let's head on inside, shall we?"

Excited at the prospect of finally getting to rebuild the Dimensionator, Ashley headed towards the nearest entrance to Kedaro Station, hoping she could get this done before reality fell apart completely.

Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger are proud to present:
Totally Spies: The New Adventures
Episode 84: A Clone of My Own
Story Rated: T for Teen
Story Created: June 26th, 2023

Story Summary: The one-hundred and sixteenth co-op project between Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger, and episode eighty-four of our mission-based series Totally Spies: The New Adventures. Macker the Safecracker is once again on the loose after quite a long time since his last tussle with the spies, but this time he has some assistance in the form of... wait, is that... Professor Genesis?! That's right, mad science rears its ugly head once again, as even though Professor Genesis met his untimely demise in the Forgotten Land, Macker has created a clone of the mad scientist so he can continue his demented work, and he's wasted no time in making it personal by kidnapping Alex and Haruka with every intent of mutating them into hideous creatures. With more of Genesis' mutant creations already attacking Beverly Hills, it's a mad dash against the clock to save Alex and Haruka from the scientific wrath of a reborn villain...

Author's Notes from Mat49324: Well, we're onto another project again! We hope you enjoyed our last one, A Real Snit Show, and that you may have gotten some more blanks filled in regarding Ashley and the Dimensionator she's using, too. Anyway, we're closing in on the end of season 7, which means that only more fun is on the horizon. When will we have the spies go back to Mali-U? That won't be until close to midway through next season. That's right – we're fully intending on an 8th season (and hopefully I can find some real Hawaii sports job, too) to come soon. For now, here's The Blue Time Ranger for anything he'd like to say.

Author's Notes from The Blue Time Ranger: Yeah, you figured he'd probably be back eventually in some fashion. My first original Totally Spies villain and one of Nick's most personal foes has risen from his grave! If you remember correctly, Genesis met his end alongside his counterpart in Totally Spies the Movie: The Forgotten Land at the hands of Fecto Forgo, but Macker has undone that demise, so that means more madness. I won't waste your time any further, so let's hop on the science train and ROLL IT!

And Now, the Obligatory Disclaimer: Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger do not own anything related to Totally Spies or any of its affiliations. It belongs solely to Marathon Media Group, Image Entertainment Corporation, Vincent Chalvon-Demersay, and David Michel. The only things of this story we DO own are any characters or locations created by us truly for the story. Any characters or things we don't own, we are just borrowing with no intent of copyright infringement, only for the entertainment of our readers. Besides, if we did own Totally Spies, which we don't, why would we be writing fiction on a fan site?

Act 1: Rise From Your Grave

11:21 A.M. – The Spies' Beach House

It was another great summer day for the spies, and they were definitely making the most of the weather with yet another pool day.

Well, most of them, at any rate.

Two spies were currently unaccounted for, which was why Alex was heading upstairs to check on them and make sure everything was all right.

When she opened the door to May's room, she couldn't help but chuckle at the sight she saw in there.

Both Nick and May were seated at May's desk in front of her computer, with May excitedly chatting about something on the screen.

"Let me guess, some new Idol Opportunity news?" Alex giggled as she walked into the room.

"Actually, it's something different, but just as exciting," May answered, scooting over slightly so that Alex could see the article that May had been reading.

It was a news report about the Tatsuki Brothers Traveling Carnival, a world-spanning traveling carnival that had been a major part of May's childhood. The carnival had made a stop in Beverly Hills about a year and a half ago, only for the spies to get roped into a scheme by the carnival's then-owner Kawaki, who had become disillusioned after the original Tatsuki Brothers overworked themselves to near-death to keep the carnival running. Thankfully, May had been able to reach Kawaki before it was too late, and now the Tatsuki Brother's children were running the carnival.

"The carnival's coming back to Beverly Hills in a couple weeks!" May laughed.

"Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it?" Alex stated.

"Yeah, I think they wanted to re-evaluate some things once Kawaki's plans were exposed," Nick quipped. "And it looks like the carnival's still gonna be the same as it was before Kawaki happened. That thankfully didn't change."

"We gotta go there once it's in town," May proclaimed. "It'll be so much fun to go to one of these places when not dealing with a mission for once."

"Well, we're definitely doing that, trust me, May," Nick replied, to which May instantly hugged him.

"So, what brings you up here, Alex?" May wondered.

"Well, Nozomi was wondering where you two were, since everyone else is in the pool right now," Alex explained.

"I honestly wonder if Nozomi inherited some of my impatience while we were dating," Nick chuckled as the three of them moved to open the door and head downstairs...

...only to find a large metal tube protruding from the ceiling and aimed right at them.

"Well, I was kinda expecting that," May sighed as Nick projected a psychic barrier to defend against the suction until it stopped.

"The whims of evil villains are a strange and complicated type," Nick stated. "Well, let's go see which one of them's on the loose today."

Nick, Alex and May all flipped open their X-Powders to change into their spy suits before jumping into the tube.

11:43 A.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters
Jerry's Office

Naturally, the rest of the spies were already in their own spy suits when Nick, Alex and May arrived.

"Sounds like things got pretty lively down there," May chuckled when she saw how happy both Sam and Mat were.

"My poor ear..." Haruka sighed.

"I keep warning you, ya know," Nozomi quipped.

"All right-y, then, on to business, as it were," Nick proclaimed, causing everybody to snap to attention. "Who's our baddie du jour this go-round, Jerry?"

RiCO materialized in the office before waving her hands to change the office viewscreen to a mugshot of Macker the Safecracker.

"Ah, good ol' clone boy," Melissa quipped. "Feels like it's been a while since we had to deal with him, hasn't it?"

"Let me guess, he's trying to make clones of people, most likely us?" Sam stated.

"It would appear that way, spies," Jerry proclaimed.

"We first had our suspicions when people around the country in positions of power suddenly began vanishing, only to return unharmed, but acting completely differently," RiCO explained. When we took a good look at the evidence, we discovered that they were most likely clones created by Macker."

"Mad science strikes again, doesn't it?" Clover chuckled.

"Your gadgets are already waiting for you, everyone, so head out and deliver a good stomping, 'kay?" RiCO quipped.

"You know it, RiCO," Britney stated.

12:16 P.M. – Beverly Hills

"So, any idea what kind of kooky plan Macker has up his robotic sleeve this time?" Nozomi wondered as the spies explored downtown Beverly Hills, the last place that Macker's signal had been spotted.

"Besides the whole 'replacing people in positions of power' thing, I shudder to think what he wants with us specifically," Mat quipped.

"Hey, whatever he's got up his sleeve, we'll stomp it no different from the rest," Bridget proclaimed.

"Oh, I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you, my dears."

The spies all turned in the direction of the voice that had addressed them, and sure enough, there was Macker the Safecracker in all his half-robotic glory.

"Because this time around, you won't be winning so easily," Macker taunted.

"Oh, suuuuuuure," Alex retorted. "How many villains have said that before, and how many times have we kicked their butts? Because you tell me."

"This time, my dear, I have experience on my side," Macker chuckled. "My clone technology has been uplifted to new heights thanks to science."

"You know what, I'm really not in a mood to be giving you the runaround today, Macker, so how about I just fly over there and slash that robotic arm off like I always do?" Nick taunted, his psychic aura flaring to life around him.

"First off, my robotic arm's been reinforced with much sturdier materials, so you won't be cutting it off that easy, you little punk," Macker laughed. "And second, why would you want to leave so early when I have someone by my side who's really missed you?"

Before Nick could piece together what Macker had meant by that, his psychic radar picked up a new set of thoughts approaching the area.

The spies all noticed Nick abruptly tensing up.

After all, those thoughts couldn't possibly be from who he thought they were, right?

"Well, well, spies, we meet again."

Stepping out of the shadows like the reveal of a cliché slasher film villain was a man of about thirty or so with slicked-black silver hair, stereotypical bottle glasses, a green-stained lab coat, and a particularly wretched grin.

"...I'm not tripping out, am I?" Melissa gasped.

"If you are, then so are we," Nozomi answered.

"Oh, there's no freakin' way," May proclaimed.

Why were the spies freaking out, you ask? It was because the man they were seeing was none other than mad scientist Professor Genesis.

"...you... you're supposed to be dead," Nick gasped. "I watched you die! In fact, I watched you die twice over!"

"Ah, yes, not my finest moment," Genesis admitted. Professor Genesis had met his end in the Forgotten Land while helping his dimensional counterpart unleash the psychic alien life form Fecto Forgo onto the Forgotten Land, but Fecto Forgo had assimilated both versions of Genesis into itself before reaching its final form, and when Nick had destroyed Fecto Elfilis, there had been absolutely nothing left of the mad scientist.

"In case you're curious, spies, I simply had a sample of Professor Genesis' DNA on hand from the last time I worked with him," Macker laughed. "I always knew something bad might happen to him one day, as do many of your villains. When I heard about what had happened in that other dimension, I figured that this was the time to put my cloning expertise to work and bring Genesis back from the dead."

"And now that I have returned, I have so many grand plans," Genesis cackled. "But of course, killing the lot of you is at the top of that list."

Nick's psychic aura flared back to life around him at that.

"I don't care what you're planning, Genesis," Nick growled. "If you touch even a single hair on any of my friends, I'm going to personally send you right back to hell where you freakin' belong!"

"Damn straight, Nick!" May shouted as all thirteen spies shifted into fighting stances. "Let's beat down on the zombie scientist, everybody!"

"Ugh... I'm offended," Genesis taunted. "Where's the fun there?"

"You're one to talk about 'fun', after all," Mat retorted.

"And for your sake, I'd hate to be you if the REAL Professor Genesis spins in his grave after your 'plan' backfires tenfold," Haruka taunted.

"On the contrary, my dear..." Macker sneered. "It's foolproof!"

"We'll see..." Nick replied as the spies ensued the battle.

Sam and Clover were the first to attack.

"I was hoping to enjoy a good summer off, but these interruptions are getting on my NERVES!" Clover exclaimed as she prepared her attack.

Sam used her Sapphire Hologram Pendant to make multiple copies of herself to confuse Genesis.

"Let's see if you can take this!" The three Sams quipped in unison.

With that, they all formed an attack, and when Genesis tried to attack one of them at random, the hologram went away.

Clover took that as a green light to go on the offensive, throwing a set of Electric Snare Bolas to trip Genesis up.

"That'll teach ya!" Sam exclaimed.

However, Genesis was quick to get back to his feet, much to Macker's delight.

"That's not going to last for long," Nick remarked.

"Well, boy, have you learned anything new since the last time we crossed blades?" Genesis taunted.

"Oh, you wanna see something new, huh?" Nick shot back, firing a large blast for Genesis, but before it hit him, Nick redirected the blast up into the air, then snapped his hand down to send a barrage of psychic bolts raining down onto Genesis from above.

"And even though you're a clone, don't think you're off the hook for what you did to Kevin either!" Melissa proclaimed.

Dawn joined her in their attack with the usual Helicopter Hand-Fan.

"Please, I've seen that tactic and it doesn't impress me any longer," Genesis laughed.

"Then try doubling it!" Dawn shouted, whipping out two Cyclone Blast Hairdryers.

"Actually, let's triple it!" Melissa exclaimed, wielding a third CBH with her free hand. Melissa and Dawn fired at the same time, sending three spiraling wind beams towards Genesis and knocking him down.

"Ha ha..." Genesis sneered as he picked himself back up. "I've yet to BEGIN to fight!"

"You have yet to deal with speed next..." Bridget quipped. "Sonic Mode, online!"

"Let's see if you can impress me, then," Genesis laughed.

He would certainly regret that statement when Bridget dashed in to attack, running circles around Genesis to gather kinetic energy, before dashing towards him, equipping a Metal Masher Boxing Glove, and punching him in the stomach with it. Bridget's gathered kinetic energy exploded outwards and sent Genesis tumbling.

And, in all honesty, Bridget wasn't too surprised to see Genesis get up like that hadn't done much to him. Macker had probably reinforced his body when he'd cloned him.

"SHORYUKEN, CHODE!" May shouted as she finished weaving her anchor at Genesis.

He certainly felt the shock from May's anchor.

Macker looked on in shock at the damage done, but then he started fuming.

"No matter... I'll deal with you myself!" Macker proclaimed.

"That's thirteen on one, ya know!" Alex remarked.

"Consider your goose cooked!" Haruka added.

"Oh, we'll see about that!" Macker laughed as he started firing laser blasts from his robotic hand to scatter the spies.

Nick projected a psychic barrier to deflect a blast that had come his way before rushing forwards, forming a psychic energy blade, and slashing at Macker's robotic arm.

"Man, you really did reinforce it this time," Nick quipped. "Took you how long to actually think about doing that after all the other times I cut it off?"

"Make your wisecracks while you can, little man," Macker taunted, only for his evil laugh to be interrupted by Nick snatching him in his psychic hold and lifting him into the air.

"And that's another thing I feel I've got to ask you," Nick growled. "Why did you feel like you needed to bring this psychopath back from the grave?"

"As a fellow man of science myself, I simply couldn't resist," Macker laughed. "There was so much potential that Genesis has left, squandered by his untimely end."

"Yeah, well, maybe when nutjobs like him meet their end, they should stay dead!" Nick shouted, throwing Macker across the area.

"Exactly!" Alex proclaimed, stumbling Macker further with a Sonic Disintegrator Boombox.

"I guess we're going to have to do this the hard way, huh?" Genesis laughed as he aimed a ray gun-like device towards Sam and Mat, its tubes filled with his mutation serum. "Enjoy being mutants, my dear."

Genesis fired his gun, sending a spray of his mutation serum towards Sam and Mat, but Mat swiftly deployed an All-Weather Umbrella to defend the two of them from the blast.

"Nice try, science boy," Mat taunted.

"I'd workshop some better insults if I were you," Genesis retorted.

"Yeah, well, how about I workshop your face, preferably with my fists?!" Nick shouted, darting forward to punch Genesis in the face and send him tumbling down the path.

"See, that's more like it," Genesis chuckled. "But we must take our leave for the moment. Things to get done, after all."

Macker fired a blast from his robotic hand that struck the ground in front of the spies, kicking up enough of a dust cloud to obscure their escape.

"I never thought I'd see Genesis' ugly mug again, especially after what happened to him," Britney quipped.

"Yeah, you'd think getting gooped and assimilated by his own trump card was bad enough," Dawn noted.

"I don't care how he's back, really," Nick growled. "Once I get my hands on him, he's going to wish he stayed dead."

Before the spies could decide what exactly to do next, they suddenly heard screaming from far off.

Nick took off into the air to survey the situation, and he saw that many strange-looking creatures, at least half-human, were attacking scared citizens who were running for their lives.

"Should have guessed," Nick groaned.

"What's going on over there, Nick?" Alex shouted.

"It looks like some of Genesis's mutant lackeys are attacking the city," Nick responded. "We'd better get moving, quickly."

"Jerry, can you read me?" Sam stated as she flipped her X-Powder open.

"Loud and clear, Sam," Jerry responded. "What's the situation over there?"

"Well, it's really a bunch of problems rolled into one," Sam answered. "We found Macker, but you won't freakin' believe who his partner is."

"I don't see any other 'vacancies' in the containment facility right now," RiCO stated. "Is it a new baddie, possibly?"

"...it's Professor Genesis," Nick stated. "He's back from the dead."

"...I would assume that Macker is responsible?" Jerry asked.

"Nailed it in one, Jer," Alex quipped. "And now some of his mutant things are going after the city, so..."

"Say no more, everyone!" RiCO proclaimed. "I'm already working on an antidote for that, thanks to the samples we kept from your previous battles with him. It shouldn't take too long to develop. I'll ring you up when it's ready, so just go and stop those mutants!"

"Roger that!" Clover exclaimed as the spies took off towards the downtown area to corral the mutant hybrids.

When they made it downtown, one of the mutants turned to face the spies and roared loudly, which drew a bunch of other mutants closer so they could all charge the spies in tandem.

"Okay, yeah, we're not doing this," Nick proclaimed, snapping his hands down to unleash a Zero Gravity that made the pack of mutants start floating helplessly into the air.

Just as Nick bubbled the mutants up to send them off to headquarters so that Jerry and RiCO could analyze them, he heard a pair of shocked shouts behind him.

Spinning around so fast he was surprised he didn't get whiplash, Nick only had time to see both Alex and Haruka get grabbed by a pair of crab mutants before said mutants leaped away with their prize.

"Wait, what just happened?!" Melissa shouted. "Are these mutant guys getting smarter?!"

"I know exactly why Genesis wanted them to take Alex and Haruka," Nick growled. "He's making it personal, because of freakin' course he is."

"But of course, boy," Genesis laughed as he made his presence known. "I have to take my revenge for my previous death, you know."

"That was your own fault, freak boy!" Mat countered. "You're the one who messed with forces you have no hope of comprehending!"

"Regardless, you can say goodbye to them both very soon," Genesis proclaimed. "They'll be part of my army soon enough."

Nick's eyes widened when he realized what Genesis was planning, and his psychic aura exploded to life around him, so fierce that it actually cracked the pavement underneath him.

"You haven't even been revived for a day, and you're already crossing a line that should never be crossed, you son of a bitch," Nick snarled. "This the only warning you're getting. If I find even a hair out of place, you do not want to know what I'm going to do to you."

"Actions speak louder than words, you know," Genesis taunted.

"Okay, bastard, I can arrange that!" Nick shouted as he charged for Genesis.

Genesis welcomed the idea as Nick charged for him, but he would later regret that as Nick immediately gave him a shot to the privates.

"You may be a clone, but you're still worth about ten beatdowns any day!" Nick exclaimed.

"And like Clover said, we have a summer to still enjoy!" Bridget added.

"Well, consider this your LAST summer!" Genesis emphasized after the shock had passed.

"Oh, we will do NO SUCH THING!" Sam proclaimed. "Now, WHERE'S ALEX AND HARUKA?!"

"You need not know that information," Genesis sneered.

"Believe us when we say we WILL pry it out of you!" Bridget remarked.

"You'll have to catch us first," Genesis replied as he and Macker took off together.

However, Nick knew they'd try to make a break for it. He used his psychic powers to block the entryway and cause Macker and the Genesis clone to crash into it.

"You're not getting away by one more inch until you tell us where Alex and Haruka are!" Nick demanded.

"That's not how it works today, kid..." Macker sneered.

"We're not in the mood for bargaining with spodes like you for what it's worth," Mat retorted.

"And believe us when we say Nick WILL find a way to sever your arm again eventually!" Melissa exclaimed.

"You must have forgotten since you came back, Genesis, that I'm a psychic," Nick proclaimed. "So good luck on trying to hide your plans from me."

"And what, exactly, are we planning?" Genesis taunted.

"What else, you freak?" Nick shot back. "I know exactly why you kidnapped Alex and Haruka specifically. It's because you're trying to turn them into hideous mutants like you usually do, am I right? Add that to the fact that you want to clone all of these mutants for an army, right? Stop me if I'm wrong."

Macker and Genesis looked on in complete shock that Nick hit it right on the head regarding their master plan.

"It wasn't hard to figure out, and we ARE going to stop you!" Nick exclaimed.

"You won't... but good luck trying," Macker insisted.

He then showed that he came prepared as clones of many others from the spies' rogues gallery came to trap them – including Kandinsky, Milan Stilton, and even Sebastian Saga just to name a few, which also included each of the LAMOS.

"I guess we've got a BI-IG task on our hands now..." Britney sighed.

"They may be clones, but the originals are smarter, we know that..." Mat pointed out.

"Absolutely," Bridget quipped. "Now let's kick up the velocity!"

As the cloned villains approached them, Bridget sped off, bowling many clones over in the process before coming back around to kick a clone in the chest and send it reeling.

"Maybe if Nick can't cut it off, I can punch it off," Bridget taunted, equipping a Metal Masher Boxing Glove to emphasize her threat towards Macker.

The spies were beginning to get wrapped up in their battle, it gave Genesis and Macker a window to try to break Nick's psychic barrier.

Genesis attempted to use a weapon to break the barrier, but anything he tried did not work. Nick noticed them trying out of the corner of his eye.

"You can try all you want, but you're not going to break that," Nick told them.

"Never mind that..." Genesis sneered as he threw down a smoke bomb to allow him and Macker to escape.

"GREAT!" Clover groaned.

"Don't worry, we'll get them," Melissa stated quite matter-of-factly. "We've beaten Professor Genesis before, clone or not, and I'm personally not about to let that streak get broken so easily."

"I just hope we can find Alex and Haruka before anything happens to them," Nozomi quipped.

"If he even dares, he's going to be in a universe of pain," Nick growled, his aura pulsing slightly. "I already warned him, after all..."

"I'm a little concerned about the city, if there's more mutants like that roaming around," Sam stated. "It's possible that they're just doing this to distract us so they can put their own plans into motion."

"That could be a problem," May quipped.

Suddenly, two more mutants leaped down from nearby awnings and reached out with their malformed hands to snatch both May and Nozomi.

"Um, yeah, how about no?!" May shouted, yanking her arm out of the mutant's clutches so she could bash it with an elbow to the face, causing it to lose its grip on her.

Nozomi broke free as well by jumping into the air and coming back down to stomp on the mutant's feet, causing it to release her so she could kick it away.

"Nice try, blob guy," Nozomi taunted.

The mutants were quickly joined by two clones of both Tim Scam and Geraldine Husk.

"Ugh, I should have figured," Sam groaned as she prepared to attack.

"Hey, did somebody call for a combat instructor?!"

Before the clones could react, Sortiliena came barreling through the mutants so she could strike at the clones, kicking them both backwards before grabbing them by the collars and slamming them both into each other, knocking the clones out cold.

As the mutants retreated, Sortiliena grinned in a cute way before turning to the spies. "I figured you guys could use a little extra help this time, given the circumstances," Sortiliena stated.

"Always appreciate it, Sortiliena," Clover quipped.

"And hey, even if the LAMOS aren't behind this, there are clones of them running about, so I figured why not?" Sortiliena chuckled.

"All right, then, let's motor," Nick proclaimed. "I don't want Alex and Haruka to stay in their greasy clutches for too much longer."

With that, everyone set out into the city, following Macker's signal thanks to RiCO's superdrone.

And of course, on the way to their destination, who else but Genesis should show up to bar their way.

"Wait, how come your signal isn't showing up?!" Sam gasped. "Your DNA should be in our database, right?"

"It might be because this technically isn't the same Genesis from before, so his DNA might be different," RiCO answered from Nick's X-Powder.

"I'd be happy to get you a new sample, then," Nick responded, forming a psychic energy blade on his hand.

"Oh, please," Genesis taunted. "You don't have the guts, boy. I still remember you murdering your brother, you know. Don't think I didn't hear what you did."

Nick didn't listen, having fully expected Genesis to play that card, and instead lunged forward and socked Genesis with a right hook to the face just to shut him up.

"That wasn't my brother, you bastard," Nick shot back. "That was nothing more than a perversion of nature that you twisted and mocked for your sick ambitions. I put that faker down so Kevin, the real Kevin, can properly rest."

"Oh, what, would you kill me, too?" Genesis laughed, only for Nick to grab him by the shirt collar and yank him back to his feet.

"Don't test me," Nick growled. "Get me angry enough, and I just might. The actual Genesis is already dead, so what's wrong with sending you back where you belong?"

"You tell 'em, Nick!" Mat exclaimed.

Genesis activated his bubble shield to force Nick backwards, only for Bridget to run his way, extending her hand towards him. Nick easily got the message and reached out to take Bridget's hand so they could speed towards Genesis.

"Shall we, Nick?" Bridget quipped.

"Oh, hell yes," Nick responded. "Let's give this monster a taste of the Purple Comet Attack!"

"You will do no such thing!" Genesis countered, attempting to move away, only for Sortiliena to send him to the ground with an overhead snap kick.

"Actually, yes they will," Sortiliena taunted. "Give 'em heck, you two!"

This gave Nick and Bridget the chance to bum-rush Genesis, using their boosted speed to send Genesis into the air with their joined arms, causing him to fly into the air flipping.

Nick and Bridget let go of each other so they could go on the offensive, Nick landing a lifting flying kick to send Genesis higher into the air, while Bridget leapfrogged off of Nick's shoulders and snap-kicked Genesis back down to the ground.

Before Genesis could even bounce, Nick and Bridget were on him again, lashing out to hit him with multiple super-fast strikes before sending Genesis back into the air with dual flying kicks.

"Ready, Nick?" Bridget exclaimed.

"Let's stomp 'em!" Nick shouted.

With that, Nick and Bridget charged, attacking Genesis nonstop from multiple angles, making it look like Genesis was being pinballed around in the air.

For the finale, Nick and Bridget both attacked Genesis in perfect sync, resembling a much faster version of Nick and Haruka's Accel Dance maneuver, before charging through Genesis and sending him careening into the ground.

"Now where are they?" Nick proclaimed, aiming his right hand for Genesis to charge up a Final Shine Attack. "I won't ask you a second time."

"You can try all you want, but we'll never tell..." Genesis sneered.

Finally, May had enough of their stubbornness, and she flailed her anchor VERY CLOSE to their faces.

"We're not going in this circle forever..." May growled. "NOW SING! Otherwise, I'LL be the one to sever your new arm!"

"Okay, okay, fine!" Macker replied after sighing in relief that he wasn't injured in any way.

The spies all ganged up on them to make sure they spilled the location.

"Your old high school," Genesis told them.

"Beverly Hills High?" Clover wondered.

"We find out you led us on a wild goose chase... you're looking at missing teeth... COUNT ON IT!" May shouted.

The rest of the spies made a break for Beverly Hills High School.

2:57 P.M. – Beverly Hills High School

"Are you getting a reading, Sammy?" Clover wondered.

"No, not yet..." Sam answered. "Hopefully RiCO could fill in the blanks there..."

She then called on RiCO.

"I'm working on tracking Alex and Haruka simultaneously," RiCO told them after Sam's call.

Nick looked each way; deep down, he knew everyone had to have some irritation in their lives, and Haruka was seemingly being that someone when it came to teasing him with her bikinis, playing matchmaker on he and Bridget, etc., even though Nick knew that Haruka was only acting in good fun given how much she liked to tease him (it was a thing they'd been doing since they were kids, after all).

She and I are definitely, definitely getting the next car wash battle when we get to that point, Nick thought to himself. I just hope she's going to be okay...

"Feels a little weird being at our own stomping grounds again," Clover commented.

"My sentiments exactly," Mat added.

"They're not in the school hall, spies," RiCO told them.

"You've picked them up, RiCO?" Britney asked.

"Yes – in the fountain," RiCO answered.

"Why in the fountain?" Nozomi wondered.

"They couldn't be..." Bridget stated but paused to keep herself from saying the inevitable.

Everybody gathered to get to the fountain via Bridget's Sonic Mode.

When the spies reached the fountain, there was no sign of Alex or Haruka around in the water, just their X-Powders in the water.

"It's just their X-Powders..." Britney groaned.

Mat and Blaine picked them up – Mat got Alex's and Blaine got Haruka's.

"So, they led us on a wild goose chase..." May seethed. "I WARNED THEM!"

"Maybe not..." Blaine told them.

"What do you got?" Sortiliena wondered.

"It looks like they managed to type something out before they got yanked away," Blaine stated. "Problem is, the message looks like it's encrypted, no doubt the work of our villains..."

"Don't worry, Blaine, a simple encryption's no problem for me," RiCO quipped as she decrypted the message. "It looks like it's coordinates."

"Probably for where they actually got taken," Mat noted. "Damn it all, he remembered rules for villains number sixty-eight."

"Then we'd better follow those coordinates before anything... well, anything goes wrong," Nozomi stated. "Let's get a move on!"

"Oh, but why would you want to do that?" Macker laughed as he and Genesis made their presence known. "Why don't you stay for a while and bask in the memories?"

"You two are really starting to test my patience, you know," Nick growled. "And you should know that I have very limited amounts of that."

"Hey, we said you'd..." Macker taunted, but May had officially lost her own patience, running up to leg sweep Macker off of his feet, and while he was tumbling, May re-summoned her anchor and slammed it down hard, making good on her earlier threat and smashing Macker's robotic arm clean off.

"I warned you," May proclaimed. "I freakin' warned you, but of course you didn't listen. Now unless you want me to knock some teeth out next like I said..."

"You wouldn't dare," Genesis chuckled, only to be instantly proven wrong when May clocked him across the head with her anchor, sending him spinning through the air minus a few of his teeth.

"Hey, when I make a promise, I keep it," May taunted.

"We're coming for your evil lair next, so I'd say your prayers if I were you," Nick growled, aiming his glowing hand towards Genesis and Macker.

"Oh, please do make a house call," Genesis chuckled. "I can't wait for you to see everything we have in store for you."

With that said, Genesis and Macker decided to retreat for the moment.

"Ooh, I don't like the sound of that," Melissa quipped. "I'm almost scared to think of what nightmares they're cooking up over there..."

"Then let's make for those coordinates with all the speed," Sam proclaimed.

As the spies all left Bev High to find Genesis' lair, Nick let his mind wander, hoping that Genesis wasn't planning what he believed he was.

Both May and Nozomi noticed Nick's stressed-out expression, and reached out to hold Nick's hands as they all took off into the sky.

To be continued...

Next time...

Blaine: Is it safe to say that this is about what I expected from this place?

Sam: You're not the only one, Blaine.

Clover: Yikes, I think I'm going to turbo-barf looking at all of this crap.

Mat: Good, then that makes two of us.

Nick: We should probably hurry, because I'm not leaving those two in Genesis' greasy claws.

Nozomi: Hey, we'll find 'em, and we'll stomp on Genesis for even thinking about coming back.

Melissa: Hey, mutants and clones at five o'clock!

Bridget: All right, then, time for the fun part, next time on Totally Spies: A Clone of My Own, "Welcome to the Lunacy Lair"!

Clover: EWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEW

May: Relax, Clover, it's not actual mutant goop, it's just neon jelly.

Clover: MY CLOTHES THOUGH

Nick: Clover, it's washable, don't worry. The laundry department's two hallways down to your left.
