The beginning of a serious relationship
After they returned to Trista, Rean and Alisa met in her room to spend some time together. Ever since their first kiss they had met a few times in either his or her room, but had been both very careful so nobody would suspect anything. They shied away from the jokes and the suggestive glances they would have to face otherwise.
Rean closed the door and sat down next to her.
"Alisa… This was an exhausting day, wasn't it?" He smiled at his pretty classmate. She nodded and said: "Definitely! I am so exhausted right now!" He put an arm around her shoulder and asked: "Maybe I should go, so you can rest?"
Alisa shook her head and laughed. "No, before sleeping I would like to kiss you again. Because of the field study we haven't kissed for ages.." Rean took care to obey immediately. "Let us kiss, then!", he agreed smiling and got closer.

A while later Alisa said: "We have been together for some time now … What do you think about us? How might this …", she first pointed on him then on herself before she continued: "… develop?"
Rean got suddenly very nervous, this sounded very much like the possible beginning of a real relationship.
"I really enjoy kissing you!", he stuttered.
"So ... shall we not hide anymore?"
"You mean … tell everyone we are a ...?", he hesitated and blushed.
She nodded and watched him intensively.
So you really want a serious relationship with me!
And then, with a broad smile, he exclaimed: "Yes, my beloved, let's stop hiding!"
Alisa beamed with joy and took his hands. "Now we are really, really a couple! I'm so happy, Rean!"
Rean looked at her and blushed even more. What had earned him so much happiness? Being with this lovely girl, seeing her every day, learning and growing with her - this was more than he had ever hoped for. He smiled a bit awkwardly. "As am I, Alisa. My heart is beating like mad! I can't tell you how happy and … how nervous I am!"
Alisa's face went solemn. "Thank you so much for reading my name in the notebook", she said wholeheartedly. I cannot imagine how things would have gone if you hadn't."
Rean nodded. "At least it would have taken us much more time. Lost time, my darling." He added softly: "I love you, Alisa!"
"I love you too, Rean!", she whispered back, took his shoulders and pulled him until they lay on her bed, in a deep embrace and an even deeper kiss.
