Here they are, standing there in Brenna's office. Memories returning piece by piece. They are not Jonah and Thera anymore. They are Sam and Jack. No, Colonel and Major.

Jack hadn't known how much it could hurt hearing Sam calling him 'Sir', as much as it hurt Sam saying it.

Both knew they had to forget what happened on that planet. Pretending that nothing had happened, stuffing these feelings back in that room where they left them after the Za'tarc incident.

Even with their minds stamped they gravitated towards each other. The stamp could erase the memories but not the feelings. So, not knowing who they were they just got a little to close.

Sam looked deep in Jack's brown eyes as he found his voice again.

"Let's go home." he said. Sam nodded and they fell into step beside each other.

In front of the gate Jack stopped and searched again for Sam's bright blue eyes.

"Carter, are we ok?" he asked.

The tears forming in Sam's eyes, but never leaving them.

"We will be, Sir." she answered and emidiately found herself wrapped up in Jack's arms.

He needed this as much as she does.

And with a last promise they stepped through the gate.

"Someday, Sam. Someday!"

Their feet touched the cold grid of the ramp. Daniel and Teal'c had gone ahead an led Brenna to the infirmary where her wound could be treated.

"Colonel, Major. Good to have you back!" General Hammond greeted them "Get yourself checked out in the infirmary. Take a shower and we debrief in one hour."

"Yes, Sir."

"Thank you, Sir."

Janet was obviously relieved to have SG 1 back home. She run her test as fast as she could, knowing they all longed for a hot shower before the debrief.

The guys headed off as Janet held Sam back.

She gave Sam a brief hug "I'm glad you're back. I know someone who can't wait to see you again, Cassie will be thrilled. How about you come over tomorrow, it's saturday anyway."

"Sure Janet, I wouldn't miss chess saturday" Sam smiled, "tell Cassie I'm looking forward to it. See you tomorrow."

And with a wave she left the room.

Daniel was the last one to enter the briefing room. Taking his usual seat next to Teal'c he reached for the coffee pot.

"Now that I smell it I know what I was missing. Anyone else?" Daniel asked and all of a sudden three more cups appeared in front of him. Smiling he poured everyone their coffee as General Hammond took his seat at the end of the table.

Daniel gave a short summary of what happened to them and how they made it back. They agreed that they have to help the people who were held as workers and find them a planet where they can start a new.

"Allright people, anything else I need to know?" Hammond asked.

"I have nothing to add General Hammond." Teal'c said.

Jack squinted over to Sam but she had her eyes fixated on the table in front of her.

"No Sir, that would be all."

"Thank you all. Now take the weekend off and try to recover. Next meeting Monday 0800. Dismissed!"

The General observed his flagship team as he made it back into his office.

Teal'c was the first one to leave, heading to his quarters to Kelno'reem.

Right after him Carter left in a hurry with a short "See you on Monday."

Jack sigh and closes his eyes.

"Jack, is everything ok between the two of you?"

"Peachy Daniel, just peachy."

"You know you can always talk to me, right? I mean, I don't know what has been going on with you on that planet but I'm here if you need someone to talk."

"Yeah, thanks Daniel, everything will be all right. Monday we'll be ourselves again."

Jack placed both hands on the table an stood up. Patting Daniel on the shoulder he also left the room towards the elevator and up to the parking lot. Gathering his documents Daniel turned and his eyes met the concerned ones from Hammond. With a shrug he was the last one to leave.
