As Jack led Sam into his home, he graciously carried her bag into his bedroom. Taking a moment to observe her with attentive curiosity, he asked, "Or would you prefer the guest room instead?"

With a playful glint in her eye, Sam's mischievous smile widened, as she coyly replied.

"Don't you think it's a bit too late for that?"

Jack's grin grew wider in response, "Thought so!"

As Sam wandered comfortably into Jack's kitchen, she casually poured herself a glass of water. Jack couldn't help but admire how quickly she had made herself at home, moving with an effortless grace that seemed to suggest that she had always belonged there.

After what had felt like an eternity, Jack found himself experiencing a sense of happiness that he hadn't felt in a long time. In that moment, he knew that this was exactly where he was meant to be, with Sam by his side.

"You wanna eat something, Carter? I could fix us some sandwiches.

Sam couldn't help but notice that Jack had called her 'Carter', and she could imagine that this would happen every once in a while. In turn, Sam was sure that she wouldn't be able to resist slipping a 'Sir' occasionally.

"Not sure if the food stays inside, but I will try. In fact I'm hungry, so this might be a good sign."

"Allright, make yourself at home in the living room, I'll be right there."

Jack was quickly fixing the sandwiches. After that he headed to his living room taking his seat next to Sam, looking at her sideways.

"Thank you." she said, taking a carefully bite. "How do you feel with all of this, Jack. Its not as if we planned it. There are so many questions in my head but first of all I want to know how you're doing with this."

"Honestly? I'm scared. I never thought I'd have the chance to be a father again after Charlie died. There was a time when I didn't even want to wake up in the morning. But after meeting you, I knew that life wasn't all black anymore. And even though we didn't plan for this little miracle, I already feel drawn to it. I'm grateful that this has given us an opportunity to be more than just coworkers."

"Yeah, me too." she cuddled up beside him, putting her feet under herself as he put his arm around her.

"You know I love you Carter, don't you?"

"I love you too."

Jack couldn't hide his grin. "So we're really doing this? I mean: you and me, being an 'us'?"

Sam stood up, holding her hand for Jack to take it. "We're really doing this. Come on flyboy. Take me to bed!"

Jack didn't need to be asked twice. He got up and let her lead him to his bedroom.

He took her into his arms and pulled her close, feeling the heat and energy radiating from her body.

As Jack gave Sam a passionate kiss, he felt the intensity growing between them. He knew that this was what he had been longing for, and as he laid her down onto the bed, he realized that every moment with her was precious.

This was a moment they had both dreamt of, the moment when they could finally be together as themselves, their love completely untethered.

As Jack slowly undressed Sam, he drank in the sight of her beautiful body he wasn't able to admire like this when they were on the planet. Even there they had to hide. And as wonderful making love to her there was they had to be quick.

Now he could take his time marveling at the soft curves of her skin and the warm glow of her eyes.

He could feel her heart beating against his own chest, as he took the time to explore her body with his hands. Gently caressing her breasts and tracing her curves.

Sam arched her back, gasping softly as his fingers traced her skin with gentle touches.

"Oh fuck, Jack!" Sam moaned.

Jack smirekd, "Already so sensitive?"

She didn't answer but her hands made their way down his chest, circling his navel and hooking unter his pants while she kissed him passionately.

Now it was Jack's turn to groan as she opened the zipper and gliding her hand along his erection. If possible he grew even harder by her touch. He helped her getting his pants off. As they were both naked by now Jack noticed how wet an ready Sam was for him. Slowly gliding inside her he made her come after a few deep strokes, he wasn't far behind as she clenched around his cock.

After making love for the first time without any alien interference, they slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, feeling the warmth of each other's embrace and the gentle rhythm of their breathing, a perfect ending to an unforgettable night.

The next morning, Jack awoke before Sam did. This was his moment to just sit back, relax and watch her sleep. His gaze slowly drifted down to her stomach, where their child was quietly growing.

The pride he felt in his heart was indescribable as he eagerly counted down the days until Sam's belly would become visibly rounder.

As Sam slowly woke up from her deep slumber, she found Jack's left hand resting gently on her stomach. At first, she didn't know where she was until she realized she was in Jack's bed. She felt the slow and steady strokes on her belly and so, she opened her eyes to see Jack beaming at her.

"Morning," she whispered.

"Good morning," Jack replied, as he leaned in to give her a sweet kiss.

Sam reveled in the comfort of Jack's embrace, but suddenly felt her morning sickness come on strong. As much as she tried to ignore it, the nauseous feeling started to take over.

She slowly disentangled herself from Jack's arms and made her way to the bathroom. Jack followed closely behind, offering comfort and support.

"It will get better Sam, at most a few more weeks. You'll see." Jack said trying to support her. Only now it came to her that he even had done this before. Not only has he been a parent, but supported a wife during pregnancy.

She wasn't sure how to feel about it. Grateful that at least one of them knew what he was doing, but would he compare her to Sara? He'll always be connected to her in someway. It shouldn't bother her, in general it doesn't, but now it just made her a little insecure. Maybe it's all the hormones.

"I can hear you thinking Carter!"

"It's nothing, you know me and overthinking things."

"Yes I know, care to share what's bothering you?"

"Ah it's not really reasonable, I think it's just the hormones that let my thoughts wander."

"And yet you are thinking about it. Let's get back to bed and you can tell me what's on your mind."

He helped her up from the floor, guiding her back to bed and snuggling up to her.

Looking deep in her eyes he gently tried to get her to open up and talk about what was on her mind.

"You'll think I'm nuts just for mentioning it and I really think this is not reasonable, but it just hit me that for you it's not the first time becoming a parent. You did this before with someone else. I'm not sure myself what those feelings are I'm feeling right now. A little jealous, a little worried that you'll compare me to Sara," she let out a deep breath, "See, just saying it makes it sound like nonsense...and "

"Sam, you're not nuts. It's ok to feel what you're feeling, but I assure you that I won't compare you, you're two really different women to me. Yes, I did love Sara, we had a son together, I can't erase this from my history..."

"And I don't want you to!" she softly stroke his cheek.

"...and I'll always cherish the time I had with Charlie. And there will be days that I'll get overwhelmed with memories and feelings, but that doesn't mean I'm not happy about our little one. You are my future," Jack whispered, as he looked deep into Sam's eyes. "My feelings for you are a precious gift, one that I never imagined I would have the opportunity to experience again."

Sam's heart swelled with emotion, knowing that she had found someone who valued her and cherished her in the most genuine and loving way. In that moment, all of Sam's apprehensions and doubts about their relationship faded away.

"I love you, Sam! Never doubt that just one second."

"I love you too, Jack O'Neill! Thank you."

He kissed the top of Sam's head as she buried her face in the croke of his neck.

"So, breakfast?" Jack asked trying to lighten the mood. Sam giggled, knowing what he was trying to do, she appreciates it.

"What did I say about giggling Major?"

"Sorry, Sir. And yes, breakfast would be great."
