Chapter 2: A Day in the Life of Royalty
Note: This chapter takes place after Robotnik's ultimate defeat.
It's a fall day in Mobius and the new members of the Sonic Underground; which are the children of the royal hedgehogs, are off somewhere far from the palace fighting Sleet and Dingo.
At the palace though, Sonia and Cyrus are chatting with Trevor. Trevor was still close to the royal three. Cyrus asks Trevor, "Trevor, any news from other members of the Resistance?", "Well the folks at Port Mobius say that they might have heard from Aleena."
Sonia's eyes water, Cyrus notices, and holds his wife close saying comfortingly, "Shh, shh. I know you didn't find her, and it was up to us all to ultimately defeat Buttnik, but I'm sure she's proud of you!" Sonia cries, but does know that he's right.
Sonic speeds in with Kimi following him, "Yo sibs, Jason and Nathen found this when they went on a solo mission.", Sonic says while pulling out a notebook with Sleet's name on it.
Sonia stops crying hearing this, Cyrus tells Sonic that he needs to check it out. Sonic gladly hands the book to Cyrus. He and Sonia start flipping the pages.
They stop on one with today's date, reading silently what's written, gasping upon seeing their children's names.
Sonic asks what's wrong to which Sonia says, "Sleet is going to trick Knuckles' son again!", "Big deal. Your son has taught him how to avoid those twos lies, right?"
Cyrus sighs, "It's not that simple.", Sonic becomes confused, Cyrus continues, "They'll involve Knuckles and the Chaos Emeralds!"
