Back at the SGC Sam, Jack, Daniel and Teal'c stood at the base of the ramp to say goodbye to Jacob.

As he had left Jack turned to his friends: "So, breakfast?"

Sam simply nodded in agreement, while Teal'c's deep voice rumbled with enthusiasm. "I would very much enjoy that, O'Neill."

Daniel hasitated "Ah... Mmh... I just have to drop by the infirmary first."

"Is something wrong Daniel Jackson?" Teal'c asked concerned.

"No! No, I... Ahm... I just need new antihistamines...and before I forget it I thought I might go and get them now."

Sam and Jack smiled at each other knowingly. It wouldn't have to do something with a certain petite doctor, would it?

Jack being Jack he had to tease his friend.

"You do that Dannyboy, and if you happen to see the Doc just bring her with you to the mess hall."

Sam had to hold back a giggle, not wanting to embarrass her friend further.

While blushing Daniel turned to head for the elevator and mumbled something like "I'll try to."

As he was out of sight Sam couldn't hold back the giggle anymore.

"Stop teasing him Jack, he's really trying and in love. That's difficult for him and he is your friend."

"Yes and because he's my friend it is my task to embarrass him from time to time. It's fun."

Seven levels up Daniel entered the infirmary nearly bumping into Janet.

"Daniel, what can I do for you this early. Something the matter?"

"Yeah, I.. Ahm... I think I need new antihistamines."

"But you got them already last week. You should still have a lot."

"That's true, sorry Janet, that isn't the real reason I'm here, I'm sorry, just a little nervous I think."

"What is it Daniel, you know you can tell me everything." the little doctor said.

"Janet, I like you. I mean, really like you and I wanted to ask you if there is a chance you would want to go out with me?"

Janet's smile couldn't be bigger.

"Yes Daniel, I really really would like that. I like you too, you know. A lot."

Now it was Daniel's time to grin.

"Great." a little speechless that was all he could say.

"I'm free tonight, Cassie has a sleepover at her best friend. So if you don't have anything going on we could go out tonight."

"Oh! Ok, I'll pick you up at seven."

"Ok."

Entering the mess hall Daniel went straight to get his coffee and joining his friends in their usual spot at the end of the room.

Looking in three smiling faces. "What?"

"Didn't you get your tablets?"

"Oh, ahm..."

Sam felt pity for his friend and tried to release him.

"Daniel, just spill it out. When's your date with Janet?"

"What?"

"We all know how you two are dancing around each other. It's great when you finally try to do something that we all know should have happened for a long time."

"Thank you Sam. Tonight. We're going out tonight."

"Perfect, I think I heard Janet say that Cassie ist sleeping at her friends house. So you have all the time to enjoy yourselves."

She nudged him in a friendly manner.

"Time for me to finally start working. I'll be in my lab. Have a nice day boys."

"You too, Sam. Enjoy your doohickeys."

She quickly looked eyes with Jack and made her way to her lab.

As she rounded the corner and entered her lab she startled. "God, Janet! What are you doing here, you scared me."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to. I came here because I need your help."

"My help with what? Something in the infirmary I can help you with or do you just want to know what to wear on your date tonight?"

Janet head snapped up surprised looking at her friend. "How do you know?"

"Daniel was supposed to bring you with him to grab some breakfast, but seeing how nervous he was and turning up without you but with a very bright smile we counted one and one together."

Janet's face turned red as she blushed.

"Oh Sam, I haven't been on a date for a long time. I know I wanted to do something about this myself, but now that it'll actually happen I'm so nervous."

"That's only normal. Just be yourself and have fun. You two will be great together. And don't do anything I wouldn't do."

"If I'm right, there's not much you wouldn't do right now."

Sam had to grin "You two know each other for a long time, Cassie is not home tonight. Nobody would judge you if a sweet goodnight kiss turned out into something more exciting."

"Oh boy, now I'm more nervous than before."

"You don't have to be. It's Daniel we're talking about. Enjoy your evening. Nothing has to happen when you don't want it to. Just saying it really were ok if it would."

"Thank you, Sam. I need get back to the infirmary. SG-3 is sheldued back in a few minutes."

"And I have to finally start working. See you later Jan."

Exactly 7 o'clock Daniel rang at her door. As Janet opened he was stunned. "Wow, you look beautiful."

"Thank you, Daniel," she replied, her voice soft and tentative.

They stood there for a moment, both unsure of what to do next. Then, Daniel spoke again, his voice gentle and filled with anticipation. "Shall we go?"

Janet nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness build within her.

Daniel and Janet sat down at the table for two, taking in the atmosphere of the place. The soft rustle of the tablecloth, the clink of the cutlery, and the murmur of distant voices filled the air.

Daniel had chosen the perfect restaurant for their date. The ambiance was just intimate enough to create an atmosphere conducive to their conversation, yet not so dimly lit that they couldn't see each other clearly.

The more time passed, the more comfortable they felt in each other's presence. With each smile, each laugh, each easy exchange of thoughts, they grew closer and closer.

Then, in the middle of their meal, Janet realized that they were themselves again. The awkwardness of the meeting had faded away, replaced by a sense of ease and familiarity. They talked and laughed and the conversation flowed smoothly, unhurried by any sense of stress or uncertainty.

The evening was magical, filled with laughter, conversation, and good food. And as it drew to a close, Daniel knew that this was just the beginning of something that could be truly amazing between them.

As they drove home the silence between them was comfortable, yet they both yearned for something more.

Then, as if by mutual agreement, their fingers intertwined, seeking a connection that words could not convey. His fingers wrapped around hers, strong and warm against her skin. They felt perfectly matched, like two puzzle pieces finally slotting together.

A shiver ran down her spine as his thumb gently traced circles on the back of her hand, sending a rush of electricity through her body. She looked over at him, studying the way his lips parted ever so slightly as he concentrated on the road ahead.

As they turned into the driveway, he squeezed her hand gently, a silent reassurance of his love and affection for her. She squeezed back, feeling a warmth spread through her chest.

They exitet the car and he walked her to her door.

Their bodies drawn together by an invisible force. She could feel his breath on her cheek, the warmth of his body enveloping her like a cocoon. And then, finally, his lips met hers in a gentle, tentative kiss.

It was the kiss he had wanted to give her all evening, filled with tenderness and restrained passion.

As the kiss deepened, becoming more intense and urgent, she felt lost in the moment, caught up in the unbridled passion that burned between them. It was a feeling she never wanted to end, a moment of pure happiness.

Finally, the kiss ended, leaving them both breathless and hungry for more. As they drew back, their eyes met once again, filled with a depth of emotion.

"Would you like to come inside and have a coffee with me?" Janet asked breathless.

"I'd like to come inside, but don't bother with the coffee." he said sheepishly and as answer she opened the door and pulled him behind her into the hallway.

He closed the front door behind him, his heart beating a little faster with anticipation. As he turned around, his eyes darkened as Janet pushed him against the door. In that moment, he knew that she wanted him as much as he wanted her.

She didn't hesitate, her kiss fierce and passionate as she locked her fingers behind his neck. He responded in kind, feeling the intensity of her desire wash over him. His hands roamed over her body, feeling the curves and planes of her form beneath her clothing.

Feeling the force of her fervor, he found the strength to lift her up, her back against the door. She clung to him, her body molding against his in a perfect fit. He could feel her heat, her urgency.

As his hands made their way under her skirt to her perfectly round ass, he relished the feel of her soft skin against his fingertips. His heart raced with anticipation as he pulled the fabric up, exposing her perfect satin panties.

He knew that he had to have her, and he had to have her now.

He leaned in close, his breath hot against her neck as he whispered in her ear. "I want you," he said, his voice thick with emotion. He could feel her shiver in anticipation, her need for him matching his own.

In response, he pressed himself against her, the denim of his jeans straining against his arousal. With every movement, he could hear her moan softly, her pleasure building with every touch.

Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. With a fierce urgency, he pushed her even more against the wall, his desire overpowering any sense of restraint he might have had. As he pressed himself against her, he could feel her heat, her need, and he knew that he would stop at nothing to satisfy her.

Leaning in close, he pressed his lips against hers. As they kissed, he could feel her heart pounding against his chest, matching his own beat for beat.

His fingers played over the curve of her breasts, his touch igniting tiny sparks of pleasure that traveled down her body. With a fierce intensity, he pushed her blouse up, revealing the soft skin underneath. Her bra was gone in an instant, his hands finding her hardened nipples and flipping them over expertly.

As he sucked on one nipple, his fingers toyed with the other, sending waves of ecstasy through her body. She moaned softly, the sensations overwhelming her as she surrendered herself completely to him.

With a fierce urgency, he plunged into her. With every movement, their pleasure grew and intensified, until finally they erupted in a shared explosion of ecstasy, completely lost in the moment and each other.

As their bodies gradually came down from the heights of passion, he slowly let her feet back down on the floor. But he held onto her tightly, not wanting to let go of the precious connection they shared.

He leaned in close, his fingertips tenderly pushing a strand of her hair back behind her ears. Her eyes met his, a deep, unspoken understanding passing between them. And then, with a soft, fierce clarity, he whispered in her ear.

"I love you," he said, his voice filled with a depth of emotion that took her breath away.

"I love you too, Daniel!" she said still a little breathless. "Oh god that was intense."

"I'm sorry Janet, this wasn't what I had planed for our first time together. It should have been more romantic. I don't know what came over me."

Carefully she placed a finger over his lips to silence him.

"It was perfect. We needed this. I think with all the tension between us it couldn't have gone down any other way. There's time for romance later. Come, take me to bed."

Not sooner as she had endet her sentence he scooted her up, placed a soft kiss on her lips an headed to her bedroom where they made love again. Slow and passionate.
