Long island sound, NY August 23, 2008
As me and Aunt May pulled up to the place that Annabeth gave me directions too. After saying goodbye to May I walked up the hill and as I approached the tree my spider sense went off a little bit and I looked around to see what could set off my spider sense and found what looked like a dragon without any legs. After seeing that it wasn't going to attack me if I didn't approach the tree that has a golden cloth hanging from a branch. After a bit Annabeth came up the hill and took me to the Big house to introduce me to Chiron the activities director.
" So is Chiron the one from the stories or was there someone else that took up his name in honor of him?" I asked Annabeth to make sure I wasn't going to step on any toes with one of the higher ups. " Yes it is the same from the stories, The trainer of heroes like Jason of the Argonauts and Hercules."
After making it to the Big house I was introduced to Chiron and given a basic introduction to the world of being a Greek demigod and watched a video that explained some more stuff. After that was all said and done I Asked Chiron "So when will I be claimed by my godly parent is there like a blood test that I could do or will they just see me from Olympus and be like 'oh there's one of mine.'" after I said that I saw that they both looked at each other and looked at me with a look of pity. "That doesn't look like a good look, why are you giving me that look?" I asked them not liking the feeling I'm getting from it.
" Peter, sometimes they don't claim us and sometimes they do, it really depends on which god is your parent. With any luck you'll have a parent that actually pays attention to when they feel their kids cross into camp or you could be unlucky and get one that forgets that you even exist."
After hearing that from Annabeth I just kinda stopped talking and started thinking about if maybe this was a mistake coming here, maybe it's better if I never learned that gods exist in this world. While I was thinking about all of this I was led outside to get a tour of camp starting with the cabins and as we were passing this cabin that was absolutely covered in a hot pink color with a
lot of freaking perfume coming out of it I saw one of the most beautiful girls i had ever seen in my life outside of Gwen Stacy. Anyway as I was looking at her Annabeth must have seen me and leaned over and said" That is Selina Beauregard and she has a boyfriend who is a child of Hephaestus." thus ruining my mood, when suddenly a flash of light blinded me and when my vision cleared I was dressed in designer clothing and my hair was styled in a way that made me look handsome. Looking above me I saw that while there was a dove as the main symbol there was also an owl and a hammer just below it and a Spider on a totem below the owl. Looking at Annabeth I went to ask her what the symbols meant when I saw that she was staring slack jawed at my appearance.
While Annabeth was staring at me I heard Chiron say from behind me" All hail Peter Parker Son of Aphrodite,Goddess of Beauty, Love, lust, desire, sexuality and pleasure. Legacy of Athena Goddess of wisdom, war and useful arts and Hephaestus God of fire and blacksmiths. Champion of the Web of life and destiny." After that whole thing everyone in the immediate vicinity kneeled and bowed their heads.
After that I was pulled into the Aphrodite cabin and introduced to most of my new siblings among the ones that I liked the most was lacy who was in 6th grade and had braces, Selina who was the cabin counselor and was looking to go to college and was dating the cabin leader from hephaestus cabin Charles Beckendorf who was also my uncle on my mortal parents side. The only one that I didn't like was Drew Tanaka, a Aphrodite kid of asian descent, who constantly set off my spider sense and for some reason when ever she went to talk Selina would give her a look as if saying' don't say a single word or you'll be cleaning the toilets tonight.'
After getting acquainted with my siblings I left to go walk around camp to find Annabeth to finish my tour. After looking around for her I found her talking to Percy and when I was closer I heard them talking about a war and someone named Luke. Walking up to them I asked Annabeth if I could get the rest of the tour of camp. "Sure, see ya later Percy. We'll talk later." So we continued the tour passing by the climbing wall that had lava pouring down it, the volleyball court and the woods that Annabeth explained were filled with monsters and also a place where we played Capture the flag that is played on Fridays, so I just missed the one from last night.
"So what is the deal thats happening around here, everyone seems to be on edge. Are you guys expecting to get attacked any moment?" I asked her after reaching the cabin courtyard. She just looked at me and sighed as if she knew that I would ask this.
"Everyones on edge because earlier this summer the camp was attacked by a legion of monsters under the command of Kronos the Titan of time. Also Percy's grandfather and mine and your great-grandfather. The attack consisted of monsters and other demigods who weren't claimed by their parents."
After hearing that I looked around more closely and saw that the forest was damaged a lot with a pile of boulders near cabin eleven, some of the roofs of the cabins were still slightly burnt with some already having been fixed. After excusing myself and making my way to the big house I found Chiron and asked to talk to him.
"Ah, Peter my dear boy. How goes meeting your new family so far. Everything is going well I hope."
"Good, I was wondering if you could explain some of what you said earlier when I was claimed. You said something about being the Champion of the web of Life and Destiny. What does that mean and I was also hoping that you could explain why everytime that Drew goes to talk Selina silenced her before she could talk."
"Ah, I figured that you would be curious about that little tidbit about the Web. In regards to Miss Tanaka that is something to do with one of your mothers godly abilities called charmspeak that allows one with the ability to control a person with words alone and a little bit of magic." he said " As for the Web of Life and Destiny, that is a subject that I am not very knowledgeable about I fear but from what I have Gathers over my many years on this earth and from meeting other spider totems like yourself. You are connected to something that holds together the multiverse and that there is a place in Africa that can help you understand more about it. Alas travel to the old world is while not forbidden, expressly advised against what with all of the ancient monsters that are over there."
After hearing all of that and now finally knowing why Drew was setting off my spider sense. Now I just have to figure out where this temple in Africa is located so I could visit it next summer or if it comes down to it I could apply to take a test out of high school so I could focus on spider-man and demigod stuff. SInce it was getting close to dinner I started making my way back to my cabin to get ready for dinner.
Dinner
Sitting at the Aphrodite table I started talking to my siblings, getting to know them and the one thing that I noticed was that most of their parents were famous people or outrageously handsome people. That made me start thinking about why my mom( Still weird to say that after thinking of Mary as my mother for the first 14 years of my life) when one of them asked me about what my parents do for a living.
"Well, I don't really know all that much about what they used to do. THey died when I was five years old, went out on a work trip and never came home, having been living with my Aunt and Uncle for the past ten years. But from what I've been told and what I remember they were both scientists, both best in their field." I started with some of them giving me looks of pity and some with a look of confusion at the fact that both of my parents were scientists and not a movie star or a famous person. "But what I'm confused about as much as some of you look is the fact that my parents were normal people and were just scientists, that sounds more like Athena's thing than Aphrodites really."
Annabeth, hearing me from the Athena table started thinking about it as well and said" Hey maybe you were adopted as a kid or maybe Aphrodite when you were born saw that your father wasn't fit to raise you, so she left you with the parkers instead."
Hearing Annabeth say that I started thinking about it and even after dinner was over and we were at the campfire I was still thinking about if what Annabeth said was true and wondering I wanted to know or if maybe I should have left it alone and continued believing that Richard and Mary Parker were my parents.Later that night as I was laying in bed I had a dream.
In the dream I was in a bedroom that was one of the best if not the most expensive one I've ever seen. I also saw a bunch of semi naked women running around taking care of things and needless to say I was blushing up a storm and was having a very big, uncomfortable problem down below. While that was happening I heard a melodious laugh behind me, whipping around I saw the most beautiful women in the world. Somehow I knew that this was my mother and at the moment she was dressed in a way that no mother should be dressed in front of her child. She had some of the biggest breast I have ever seen in my life (granted it's not that many) and even though I couldn't see it a truly massive ass that could suffocate a man to death and the most perfect waistline in the world.
"M-mom." I said my voice trembling ignoring her nudity for the moment and jumping into her arms and crying for a while and after a minute I finally let go and looked her in the eyes and saw the most crystal blue eyes I've ever seen. After sitting there looking at her in the eyes getting
lost I was broken out of my trance by her giggle and I blushed bright red when I noticed how close I was to my first pair of naked breast and went to jump back, when her arms came around and encircled me keeping me close.
"Oh, my beautiful boy, you are so handsome even before my blessing and the spider bite.Last time I saw you, you were the size of a small watermelon. You had that cute little nerd look going for you, but I will say that I'm sorry that you got bullied so much growing up."
Upon hearing that from her I finally came back to my senses and looked her in the eyes and asked her who my real father was. " Oh Peter, your father is a very famous man who even to this day still isn't fit to raise a kid. I will say this though that he is a very famous man right now, especially after what he just made that is making my husband very proud and Ares very excited for the destructive capabilities that it promises."
Hearing all of that I put together who my dad was and went to ask when she said that she was proud of me and that our time was running short so she kissed me on the forehead and next thing I knew I was awake.
During the day I was distracted the whole time about the possibility of who my dad was, so I threw myself into doing something mainly seeing what celestial bronze could do it if i interlaced it with fabric and I found that it could stop any normal gun up to but not including a .50 cal rifle.( This camp has a lot of freaking guns surprisingly.) So upon figuring out that I could make bullet proof fabric I made a whole new suit with it. After that I talked with the Athena kids about my web fluid and how I could improve it and together we made a new variation that was fire retardant and lasted longer. I also talked with the Hephaestus kids and with their help I made some little celestial bronze throwing darts for when I'm out on patrol. I also made a new mask that had goggles with a zoom feature, facial recognition and was made of the same celestial bronze weave fabric. I also made two sets of billy clubs one for mortals while I was fighting crime and the other made of celestial bronze for monsters.
After that the weekend passed pretty quickly and I returned home where I heard over the news that Tony Stark was kidnapped while overseas demonstrating a new weapon for the military. I felt worried because not only did that mean that if he broke our enemies could gain access to top of the line weaponry, but also because he might be my father. The only way to tell would be to get a DNA test done but he might not even believe me in the first place. He probably gets people like this all the time.
A few days later
While I was out on patrol one night I saw some thugs harassing a shop owner, so I dropped down and entered through the vent and stuck onto the ceiling to observe how many there were. I counted a total of four, two at the register and the other two roaming around the shop keeping an eye out for anybody coming through the front. I took out the guy closest to the front first after making sure that his buddy wasn't around and webbed up to me and knocked him out and stuck him to the ceiling. After that I crawled above his friend and dropped down right behind him and hit him in the neck with enough force to knock him out as well. After dealing with that I got above the two at the register and just as I was about to knock them both out I heard them say something about a boss.
"So how much do you think the Big Man is going to split the take after the 'big thing'." Thug one said and the other just looked at him with annoyance and said in return "Comeone man don't say stuff like that in front of this guy. Now I gotta kill for even knowing the Big Man exists."
After hearing that I decided to knock them out and take them with me to have a talk with. So getting above them I dropped down and knocked them out and webbed their hands and feet together and started taking them out the back after hearing police sirens coming this way. After getting to the roof I dropped one on the ground and after shooting a web and dangling one over the edge and webbing his eyes closed I waited for them to wake up and looked through their wallet and the guy thats laying on the roof is one Alexsei Sytsevich and the guy I have dangling is one Flint Marko.
After waiting for ten minutes Aleksei woke up still drowsy from being unconscious and around that time Flint was also waking up and so I walked over to Aleksei and pulled him up and set him against the water tower and told him " So I'm going to ask you a few questions and if I don't like what I hear or if I even think your lying to me, I'll drop your buddy over there."
"You won't do it. You don't have the stomach I can tell." he said so i walked over to Marko and grabbed his leg and ripped the web free and just looked Aleksei in the eye and dropped Marko and after a few seconds webbed his leg again and walked back over and asked him if he thinks I have the guts or not now. After that I started asking him questions about who the Big Man was, what he's planning and where I could find him( just to see if he knew) and I only had to drop Marko a few more times before his buddy was willing to talk. After that was done I dropped them off at the police station and to top it all off I got all on recording to drop off at the police station along with them.
After that I patrolled some more and ran into a few more criminals that I interrogated to see if I could find out anything else about the Big Man. I did run into a few monsters mostly in the warehouse district that I took care of, After taking care of them my spider sense went off and let go of my web and saw a arrow fly threw were my head was and turning my head I saw a girl in a silver parka and spiky black hair with electric blue eyes looking at me with surprise.
After spotting her I turned around and made my way over to her and there she was still standing there with a arrow aimed at where my head was when I made it over the ledge and I dodged it in the nick of time with the arrow grazing my chest, but thanks too my celestial bronze weave suit it didn't even cut it. Landing on the roof I observed her and smelled the faint smell of ozone and cursed " Oh shit." and dodged the lightning bolt that came from her hand. After landing I tried saying that I was a friend of Annabeth, but she didn't give me enough time to get a word in.
After dodging for a few minutes I got fed up and decided to up my speed and blitzed her and webbed her up in a thick layer of web and stopped in front of her. " Look, just listen to me. I'm a friend of Annabeth Chase ok. I just went to camp for the first time last weekend. If I let you out, will you stop trying to hit me?" After hearing that she relaxed a little and nodded her head, so after getting her out the web I felt my spider sense go off again and dodged a punch from her and just gave her a look that said "really" she shrugged and said " worth a shot."
"You just saw me dodge lightning from point blank range and you really think a surprise punch will hit me?" I said in disbelief and continued " Why did you even attack me in the first place?"
"Sorry, I thought you were a part of Kronos's forces."
"So you just decided to shoot an arrow at me!?!?!?" I reply in disbelief
"Hehehe sorry, My name's Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, lieutenant of Artemis, second in command of the hunters of Artemis."
"Spider-Man son of Aphrodite, Legacy of Athena and Hephaestus and Champion of the Web of Life and Destiny." I obviously wasn't going to tell her my real name. I just met her. "So what's it like being a hunter." I asked curious.
"Well for one we are Immortal unless we die in battle any caveat is that no boys at all. We are a little bit stronger than the average demigod and are good shots with a bow and arrow." She said
After that we went our separate ways and I returned to Aunt May's place and went to sleep dreaming of a girl with black spiky hair and electric blue eyes. Only problem is I couldn't have her.
Here we are folks with a second chapter to A Marvelous Demigod and we see Peter find out who his Godly parent is and meet his siblings and find out that his powers are connected to something bigger than he could even imagine, but to get more answers he has to go to Africa. He also learns that he might be the adopted child of the Parkers and that his real father is out there somewhere. He also learns that there is a crime boss that is running most if not all of the crime in New York city, so that's something he has to deal with. He also met good old Pinecone face herself and won the first confrontation between them.
Next time Peter foils a heist being carried out by a sexy feline thief and develops a small crush along the way. He also learns more about his powers as an Aphrodite child and his spider powers, coming up with new ways to use them while in combat and researching a possible location for the spider temple to get more answers. We will also see the return of the famous Tony Stark after a nice little time skip and see what he has been up to. Until next time true believers Excelsior!!
