"Hello Mr. Baatar my name is Souna Shitori and I am the student council president and I'm here to help you get to your classes"." Mrs. Shitori said with a polite but small smile. It took me a second to fully process that the student council president of all people was in front of me. While I'm not entirely familiar with Japanese customs I had heard that student councils in these kinds of academies had some modicum of power. They tended to be staffed by the children of the rich or influential, and because of such a thing, likely had the ear of the teachers and other staff.

"Forgive me Miss. Shitori for my tardiness! I will make it a high priority to fix my error!" I said in a hushed but formal tone. Getting on the wrong side of such a group would end with more trouble than wanted. It was at this time that I noticed the height difference between me and the president. While she would not be considered short by any stretch of the imagination, compared to me who stood at about six foot two. Then one might consider it somewhat comical that someone of my stature was slightly bowing to someone shorter. But to them I would repeat what I had just thought. She seemed somewhat bemused by my reaction if the slight smirk and glint in her eyes were of any indication.

"Well then Mr. Bataar you should see to it, but that is beside the point. You are only late by a minute or so, for this being your first time here that is better than most." I could not help but smirk internally when I heard the small slight she made at her fellow students. While I'm sure that many of the students here were normal, there would always be those who stood out or made themselves know through their deeds. Either good or bad, if such concepts could be applied. And if I were to be put within that particular category then I would prefer to be in better regards than bad. Though there was the other option. While being an exchange student would draw some gazes his way, he could stay to himself. If they wished to know of him, they may come to him. Both had their benefits and their downsides, but that could come be decided on later.

"Thank you, President, now that introductions are out of the way, would you be so kind as to lead me to my class. I'd like to start off well with my instructors." She smiled at my response before turning around and began to make her way into the school, I followed her so as not to lose her in the building nor to seem disrespectful.

"So, tell me Mr. Bataar what brought you to Kuoh Academy? From your records you were attending a rather fair school in northern China. While not as aesthetically pleasing as Kuoh it still had excellent marks in many things." Souna asked. I surprised me that she had looked through my records, that she even had the ability to access said records made me feel somewhat uneasy. While not anything that could lead back to the Benefactor, but I was still reluctant all the same.

"Well, my uncle is a rather busy man, and he found himself flying in and out of Kuoh a lot. So instead of staying in the area where he would not be frequenting much in the future, so we agreed that moving to an area where there wouldn't be an issue of times meeting with each other. So here we are." I finished with a shrug. While not the truth there was a kernel of it, and that is all that she or anyone else needed to know. The Benefactor was a secretive man, but I respected him nonetheless. Besides taking me in, he taught me many things, wonderous things. And when I was given the smallest insight into his designs that he was weaving, it would always leave me breathless and stupefied at its bulk. All I could know for sure was that I fit somewhere into it and that he wished to see me grow. And so, my loyalty was given and an oath made. One that would never be broken.

"Hhhhmmmm, that is an interesting story Mr. Bataar I must say-"

"You only need to call me Kadan, President." I interrupted. She looked back at me with an annoyed look. I simply gave her a small smile. I was never one for formalities at the best of times and while setting myself on a good relation with the President was paramount, we were students. And young at that, why should they needlessly add the stress and expectations such posturing would bring? Though from her still annoyed look it was not a sentiment that we shared. A pity in all truth, but sill that would not deter nor change him.

"Either way Mr. Bataar, I hope that you have settled in well and that you find our school to be one that you enjoy" she said with a more monotone voice. I couldn't help but chortle a bit at the display. And that received me another look, while maybe I was antagonizing her about this. It was natural, the whole scene was humorous, but I stifled any more noise as not to further harm this encounter. So, with my Impertinence quashed for now we continued, she showed me where the cafeteria was located along with other areas of interest being the nurse's office, the principals, and even told me where the student council office was located. I nodded every time she pointed or gave a location. It was nice to know where I could go, and soon we arrived at my destination.

"Here we are Mr. Bataar, I hope the rest of your day goes well." Souna said, she quickly turned around and began to walk away, to her own class most likely. I looked at the room number and it read as 'R: 125, Class: 2-A' which if I remember correctly, was my class. Just when I was about to knock, I heard Souna call my name.

"Please do remember to make it to class on time Mr. Bataar. I would hate to see you fall off course due to frequent tardiness." She said in an even in not cold tone. There was even a glint that shown off her glasses. It was intimidating of a look for a teenager to sport but all it did was increase his mirth at how seriously she took her position. It was admirable, but to let one thing consume you would only lead to decadence or decay. To take time for more calm or artistic pursuits would help balance herself out. At least that was what he had come to learn. But He gave her a smile and a nod to which she simply turned and left. She would burn herself out. It would lead to premature aging as one of the Benefactors acquittances would say. She always confused him when she would accompany the Benefactor. While there was nothing about her appearance that caused him to be wary, it was how her, her. What would be the best way to describe it? It felt psychical, but was not tangible nor visible. It was like a pressure that she and the others would emit. But along with the pressure there were other feelings that would radiate along with the pressure. The Benefactor was the strongest with a powerful and radiant feeling along with a sense of calm. The old man was different while surprisingly close in strength to the Benefactor it was more subdued with a sense of wariness and wisdom. But the woman, she felt fleeting in a sense. In and out like a drum beat, rather than the steady feeling the previous two exuded. This aura, aura... Maybe not that word but something else.

It wasn't long after this stay though had captivated me is when the door opened before I knocked. The person who answered me was another guy. Though he still was shorter than me, which seemed to be the norm I mused. He had short spiky brown hair, and he had light brown eyes. His face was nothing to write home about, but I'm not the one to decide looks and the likes.
"Oh, uh... Yeah there." the guy said in a confused tone. I gave him a small smile and looked behind him. It seems his hold up had garnered the attention of the teacher and the class. And most of their eyes quickly darted to me, and here would come the "fun" part. The introduction, it wasn't anxiety that was getting to him, but more to do with all the eyes on him. It was a surreal and slightly unnerving. But it would pass, as all things do. The Teacher quickly came over and usher the boy outside with us, once outside the boy gave me a look before making his way down the hall. The teacher quickly took my attention and asked if I was the new student to which I confirmed, after a short run down during which the boy returned to the class. Once he entered, I already heard what could only be whispering, which meant that the rumor mill has already begun to turn. I heard I sigh next to me, and when I looked in his direction the teacher had a exacerbated look on his face, he then told me he would quite them down and then would signal for me to introduce myself. He then opened the door and produced to enter and the class quickly quieted. He looked around and motioned for me to enter. Once in the center he nodded to me.

"Hello everyone, my name is Kadan Bataar. I'm new here and hope that we all get along." I said while avoiding to look into any of their eyes. While they may say that eyes are the windows into the soul, it didn't take him looking into their eyes to know what they were thinking. Their curiosity was plain for all to see. It didn't take long before there was a tidal wave of question being thrown my way.

"Where are you from?"

"What do you like to do?"

"Are you a pervert?"

There were many other questions that were being shouted, but that last one stuck out to me, of all the things that could have been asked, that was one that apparently needed to be answered. Before I could answer the question, the teacher called for order in the class. To which it quickly acquiesced to his will. He motioned for me to take the seat right Infront of the boy from earlier. As I made my way to my new seat, I still felt all eyes on me, yet I simply sat down and got my things out. I also gave a slight nod to the brown-haired dude, to which he gave me a glare. That confused me as I couldn't recall ever insulting him, but now that I was seated, I could tell that some of the looks I was receiving was not those of interest but anger or spite, and those particular looks were coming from the male section of the class, which was a bit smaller than the female one. I turned my head back to the front when the teacher called once more for our attention and we began where they left off in their mathematics.

BREAK

When the teacher finished his lecture, we had moved onto a different subject, and soon that would end to when the bell rang.

"It is time for lunch, enjoy your break and see you soon." our instructor said. With that he left to go and eat if I were to guess, and with that the class erupted into noise. My desk was soon surrounded by my classmates and the questions began again.

"So, what was your name again?" asked one guy with glasses asked.

"Kadan Bataar, it is a pleasure to meet you all." I responded with a smile. It was during this time that I grabbed my Tupperware that contained my lunch. It was a simple fried rice and beef bowl with water.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" a brown-haired girl asked.

"No, I do not. And before you ask, no, I am not interested in pursuing anything during my time here." I quickly shot down. I was here to learn and if anything, a relationship would only end once he finished his education. To better help him understand the world around him. That was one of the reasons that he was told.

"Where are you from?"

Before I could answer an image came to my mind. The roaring wind, the lush plains, the thunderous storms and great cracks of lighting came to my mind. The sound of singing and laughter filled his ears.

"The steppes." was my simple rely in this sort of blissful state I found myself in. For a brief second the question had conjured a phantom image and feeling similar to the after effects of his dreams. It was when no more questions were being asked did, I finally realize that I was being given strange looks. Realizing that my answer had left much to be desired. So, I shook my head and quickly moved to remedy this situation.

"Forgive me, I misspoke. I meant to say Mongolia." That seemed to alleviate most of the confusion that they had but some still seemed to have questions.

"Okay, but are you a pervert?" asked the brown-haired girl from before. And once more the classroom fell silent, even the three guys in the back seemed to be listening in.

"No, while I can say that I appreciate the form of a woman, I do not let my base desires rule my mind." I said with an even tone. While it was a question that many may have if that needed to be asked here.

"Before any more questions, please answer a question of mine." This again got more attention. When they nodded I asked "Why is that a question that needs to be answered, it seems rather perturbed if I must be honest." The students looked around each other and then one of the girls said.

"Well, you have the perverted trio over in the back thinking up new disgusting things." she said and there was also the sound of sobs coming from the three in the back. "And we can never be too careful, and fair warning." she said before she looked me in the eyes with a glare. "If you peep on anyone here, I will beat the living crap out of you." She said as if that was set in stone. With the information of a group infamous enough to be called the perverted trio acquired, I couldn't help but laugh at the threat. This seemed to enraged the girl and get her friends somewhat agitated.

"I mean no insult!" I said between chuckles "it's just that I appreciate your bluntness. It's quite refreshing miss?" I asked. That had quickly defused the situation and she gave me a smile back.

"My name is Murayama, a pleasure to meet you." She said with a slight bow, though I did notice a somewhat confused look on her face.

"When it comes to most interactions, I tend to find that most prefer to cloak their desire behind a mask of fraternity and grace, all the while plotting something." While it may have sound morbid, it was something to know when you've grown up with the Benefactor and the old man. Many of their allies had their own ambitions and they never truly aligned. Why he let such short-sighted fools make up his "court" had always could me still, but I still will move forward unbound by such a fear. There was even a warmonger amongst them, trying to tip the scales of the world. He would have to go; he had been trying to make a case to bring to the old man to see if he could find some form of backing. It may take some time but with his support and resources then they could see if the flock needed to be culled.

"Oh, that is a weird way of saying that." Murayama said, this time with a more confused bur slightly flustered look to her. But it seemed to have fixed the issue. After that there were many more questions and they received an answer to the best of his discretion. One was about family, to which he responded with the story he told Miss Shitori, there were some that lent a sympathetic voice while others were snider with some of their views on such a rich uncle to which I agreed that fortune had smiled upon me. Then there was the question that left everyone silent.

"So, are you a breasts man or an ass man?" the spikey hair kid asked with a unnerving look on his face. And it was also when I noticed the other two behind him had the same look on their faces, the shade of red made me somewhat concerned that they had an illness until Murayama and two of her friends proceeded to kick them in a very delicate area to any man. I couldn't help but smirk, I was not intending to answer but at least there had been others who had answered for me. I gave them a nod in thanks and proceeded to eat my lunch. It was still cold from the ice pack being stored under it but still flavorful none the less. Thankfully it was after that interaction that I was left to eat with everyone going into their groups and the like. But I had noticed a girl with glasses looking at me intently from the other side of the room, I ignored her seeing as how she was staying where she was. Even the trio had retreated to the back again to talk about something. It wasn't long before lunch had finished and the teacher had returned.

Class seemed to go by rather quickly and the next two subjects were rather simple. When the bell rang the class quickly rushed to the door while the teacher said that we had to read chapters six and seven in our English. I gave him a nod and walked out with my belonging packed away. While many others were walking some had also stopped to talk with their fellow students. It was when I had reached the first floor on the way to the front when something strange had happened. The entire hall had cleared; students were on all sides looking forward with either awe or lust. When I looked to see what had caused such a stir within the student body, I saw two rather stunning Women. One had a wild mane of ruby red hair and crystal blue, no wait there was a tinge of green to her eyes now that I took her into account. And she had an aura of regality about her with a smile gracing her lips. The other one was just as beautiful. She had her hair in a pony tail that held her raven locks together, and while she had her eyes closed for the most part, he was able to see the haunting violet eyes. Her aura was that of what felt like serenity and continuance, but he could help but feel a light thunderous feeling coming from her. While their looks were the obvious reason for the females to fall into such a state made sense, both had the same elegance that the woman had given off when in public. As for why the males were so obsessed and giving such a birth? Well, their opulent bodies made it rather apparent in his eyes. It seemed that many of the male populace were some forms of pervert, but at least more restrained than the trio.

While he could agree that they were indeed beauties, and that was saying something with how the female populace were not that bad on the eye either. But he had to get back to his apartment and do his homework, then the true work began. He would need to contact the old man and discuss the warmonger within the ranks, right now was a time of relative peace and while some didn't get along, they could work with it. War right now would mean countless lives needlessly lost. And that wouldn't do. So, he simply used the new corridor to get to his bike and get home. It wasn't long before his intrusion was noticed, and many either threw glares or were telling me to get in line with them. I even heard the term "Great Ladies of Kuoh" be thrown around, that they even had such a title seemed to me a bit too much. But I merely shrugged at them and continued to walk towards the entrance. It was only in a few seconds that I was right in front of the two "great ladies" and I merely gave them a bemused smile. This caused many to gasp or being to whisper about how disrespectful I was being. But the two gave me a giggle at the reactions.

"Quite the bold one Arnt you?" Said the raven haired one. While the redhead continued to giggle at the situation.

"No." I said simply with a small smile on my face. "It's just that I want to get to my homework quickly and need to get my bike to get home. I didn't see the reason to wait, not even on the account of such fair ladies such as yourselves." I said with mock shame. This got them both to giggle harder while the crowd seemed to look even more scandalized.

"Well, we cannot fault you for such a noble pursuit." The redhead said. This got a snort out of me, before I gave a short bow.

"Kadan Bataar, a pleasure to meet both of you. Though you may call me Kadan" I said trying to at least give the crowd some form of relief, some looked so shocked that they may have a heart attack if they weren't careful.

"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you as well Kadan. My name is Rias Gremory." The now identified Rais said with a smile and slight curtsey.

"And I am Akeno Himejima, it's also a pleasure to meet you~." Akeno said with a now sweeter tone as opposed to her more neutral from before. I wish I could have stayed to at least gotten to know them a bit more, as they did seem interesting. The Gremory girl especially stood out as she seemed to also was a foreigner to here. But that would have to wait duty called and the crowd was still in shock.

"While I do wish to continue this lovely conversation, I must get going." With that I began to make my way out while giving the two girls a wave and nod to which they returned, before I fully turned away, I noticed Rias turn to whispering something to her compatriot. So, they also liked to gossip as well or something else. Either way it would make little difference, in the long term. But maybe I should investigate into seeing if they have any connections to the staff or something to that extent. With that thought in mind I went to unlock my bike from its rack.

Sadly, I could just ride off once I unlocked my bike, the entrance courtyard was flooded with students and I rather not leave anyone with bike marks because they stepped in my path, not the best image after all. But after about fifteen minutes of maneuvering my bike around people and being stopped to answer some question, then I finally got on my bike and began to ride. It was a nice feeling to ride my bike, a nice mixture of speed on transportation and exercise. But he would be lying to say that we weren't anticipating when he could get a license and get an actual bike. It was a small hope of his for the future and it was something that he was also working towards. He was reading on the bike manuals of some of the models that he was looking at as well as if there was room for modification later. It was while I was mulling this over, I noticed on the bridge opposite to me that the boy from earlier was standing over there talking to some chick. So maybe he had someone? But then why the perversity? Right when I was about to lose sight, I heard him shout something. But with eh sound of traffic I couldn't hear him, oh well what ever made him happy.

BREAK

It didn't take me too much longer before I had arrived and relocked my bike. As I made my way up I couldn't help but think over the day. While it was nice there was something that seemed off when I went over everything. But to what exactly I couldn't really pin point, and it left me frustrated. To not know what had caused him this slight feeling left him twitchy. But he needed to do his homework quickly, the book wouldn't take long and may help him rebalance, after that he would contact the old man and finally put this whole thing to rest or move forward and make a more concrete plan. They would make sure that the Benefactor was free from parasites who only took rather than gave in return for the boons of his patronage. It was what he felt was his duty, after all I owed him much.

Authors Note: Well, here is chapter two! I do hope it is everything that some of you may have wanted! It was fun to write some of the dialogue in this one and think of ways that might have some interest rather than the simpler intro scenes that we see.
