"Hurting someone can be as easy as throwing a rock into a river."
Violet opened her eyes to a bright place that smelled of iodine, alcohol and blood. And with the reflexive act of covering herself in such bright light was that she realized that where once were flesh and bones today were replaced by a powerful and invincible kind of metal.
Suddenly and in her mind the sharp memory of the tragedy of that siege and that night pressed insistently on her chest. She pressed her fist against her chest and tried to get up, but inevitably fell to her weak knees.
She felt useless, she wanted to serve the major and insistently while holding on to the nurses' skirts she asked to see him and then out of the corner of the door a familiar eye met hers, a familiar scent crossed her senses, she got up and ran through the door... her blue eyes met the pupils she wanted to cross so much. But her surprise was great when she realized that those eyes that looked at her were not the Major, those eyes and that look had been there for more years than she knew, they were the eyes of Dietfried Bouganvillea.
"You're alive, so I see" he said in a tone of contempt so characteristic. Both Dietfried and Gilbert though twin brothers were so different in personality. Violet could feel the hatred in Dietfried's gaze and froze, her heart had been exalted thinking it was Gilbert, and yet she had no idea what it was that in her chest flared like a torch.
"Those who are broken inside will always love more than most."
Dietfried's gaze transported her to the instant when hatred found a place in her heart, the people who had managed to make him a man with a warm smile from one instant to the next perished before the powerful attack of a small creature.
That night, in the middle of the fury of the sea Dietfried and Violet met for the first time, that day she fell into his power, having murdered all her comrades he managed to reduce her and turn her into his weapon as a vile punishment for her sin.
The sound of breaking glass brought them back to reality, Dietfried quickly and with hatred melting in his chest grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the wall, their gazes locked, they lost themselves in each other eyes.
Dietfried diverted his gaze to a jewel hanging from her neck and it was then that he remembered his brother and when he looked back at her his countenance changed, something inside him had begun to change, he quickly released her, disappearing from the place.
Perhaps he had realized that Violet had changed during the time she spent with his brother, she became more human and in his mind he wondered why Violet was wearing that jewel if she had no human feelings at all.
Before leaving the hospital, she asked one of her comrades to inform her about Violet's steps and destiny.
"Once you've been in the dark, you learn to appreciate anything that shines".
