Chapter 2: A rampage of terror
The hospital room sat quiet, the soft sound of beeping supplying a background noise as Gohan rested. Bulma, dressed in her lab coat, worked diligently on her projects. The first, a robotic arm for Gohan so that he may use it to supplement his own strength. The second, a time machine. Sitting in the corner of the bedroom was Trunks, his attention completely dedicated to the radio. As he paid attention to every detail coming from the waiting speaker.
Suddenly the news man reported the next android attack, 'Androids are attacking South City, please take shelter.' Despite Bulma's objections, Trunks left for South City to fight the androids, leaving behind a worried Bulma and an unconscious Gohan.
When Trunks arrived at South City, the sight that met him was nothing less than daunting. Two androids stood in front of him. They laughed in his face, taunting him for his young age and size. He threw his first punch, connecting on Android 17's chest with a loud thud, anger and rage transfusing his every action.
The androids, not wanting to take the young boys attack lightly, took fighter to their full potential. With a smirks on both their faces, they began to fight Trunks with full force. Kicks and punches flew back and forth, the violence growing more and more with each kick and punch.
As time went on, Trunks began to struggle. With each strike he took, the more pain seemed to spread throughout his body. He was outclassed and outmatched, slowly being worn down. Everything he had tried had not worked, as the androids were two strong and too powerful.
Finally, after a final punch, Trunks found himself on the ground. Bruised and beaten, with no other choice, he began to run back home, tears streaming down his face. He had failed to protect South City, and he had let himself down.
Back at the hospital, Bulma had heard the commotion through the windows. Her heart racing, she ran towards South City to find Trunks. As she had expected, he was on his way back, tears streaming down his face.
Bulma ran to him and embraced him in a warm hug, giving him an embrace of motherly love. 'You should've never gone out there Trunks, you're in big trouble now!' she yelled in his face , as she wiped his tears away.
Though he may be beaten and bruised, and have failed to protect South City, he had gathered the courage to fight, and had learned a valuable lesson. He walked away with his head held high, his courage and bravery ever-lasting.
