After the details of space travel were ironed out, Goku, Bansuri and Krillin had 3 weeks to teach and learn techniques (With the Kaio-ken being the hot commodity), but before the fun could begin Krillin had a question for our remaining Earth-born Namekian.

Krillin: "Hey Bansuri, why did you use my strength as a yardstick for Gohan?"

Goku: "I was kinda wondering that too.."

Bansuri: [Smirks] "Simple, if the goal was too low not only would he make for a poor training partner but his mother will likely believe that Gohan can't survive trip and we lose an extra set of hands. If the goal was too high, Gohan may feel that he is being pushed away without a fair try to be involved. If he succeeds? He'll be around your level Krillin and given that he's also around your height, his range will be similar to your's and the 2 of you will push each other to greater levels of power. He fails? He'll make for a decent protector of Earth while we're gone and likely keep training so he isn't left behind again"

Goku and Krillin looked at Bansuri with surprised expressions.

Krillin: "...You're good"

Bansuri: "Thanks, So! the "Kaio-ken", how is it done?"

Goku: "Hmm, well you take all the ki in your body and amplify it. If you get it right, your power and speed and everything suddenly just goes zoom!"

Bansuri/Krillin: [Flat unimpressed look]

Goku: "What!? That's just what I do!"

Krillin: "That's not exactly helpful for learning it Goku..."

Goku flounders for a moment trying to figure out the best way to explain and teach the technique when Bansuri steps forward and places a hand on the top of Goku's head, getting confused looks from Goku and Krillin.

Bansuri: "I want you to concentrate on how you perform the technique, how the ki moves, how it feels, the muscles you tense and the sensations you get from manipulating your energy"

Goku: "Uhh, okay?"

Goku obeys, replaying the use of Kaio-ken in his mind's eye and his experiences using it against Vegeta come to mind giving Bansuri a first-person view of Vegeta getting the attitude punched out of him and the final beam struggle before Goku loses focus and cracks open an eye to look at Bansuri.

Goku: "Did I do it right?"

Bansuri: "You did, the mechanics of the technique are now clear. Next comes the application" [Bansuri puts a hand on Krillin's head and passes the knowledge and experience to him as well].

Krillin: "Wow! That technique is hardcore! Wait! Did Piccolo teach you by telepathically giving you knowledge too!?"

Bansuri: "As well as sparing and practical applications of the knowledge given, but yes."

Krillin: "...That is so unfair"

Bansuri: [Rolls his eyes then shares the knowledge of his ki blade technique "Light Dagger" with Krillin, making the human stop complaining to mull over the technique] "Normal to the spider is barbaric to the fly, now about that "Destructo Disc".

Krillin: "Oh! Right!" [Closes his eyes to focus on his technique and how it's done].

Bansuri: "Hm, so that's how you increase the energy's size without losing cutting power... I have a few ideas on how to play with that knowledge. Thank you for the techniques you 2. I imagine we'll all be putting the weeks we have before going to space to practice these techniques?"

Goku: "Well, yeah! But why can't we practice them in the ship?"

Bansuri: "Because space is a cold and unforgiving place and fatal to most everything in the universe."

Goku/Krillin: [Uncomfortable silence] "No ki blasts on the ship! Got it!"

Bansuri: "Nice to see we're all on the same page, shall we get started?"

Goku, Bansuri and Krillin all practiced the ki techniques that they decided to learn, Bansuri quickly applying the knowledge of the Destructo Disc in to making the new ki blade technique Light Saw (which he passed the knowledge to Krillin as thanks for the initial information), but Bansuri did something even more interesting with Kaio-ken.

Bansuri: "Goku, how long can you hold the Kaio-ken before you have to let it drop?"

Goku: "Um, few seconds, why?"

Bansuri: "If I trained with this technique by holding it for as long as possible and practicing my regeneration, I could push this technique further and maybe find a way to make it more efficient"

Goku: "Wait seriously!? That's insane! Doesn't that hurt like hell!?"

Bansuri: "Yes it does, but I already have a concept of keeping the energy of the technique inside the body instead of letting it exude and dissipate to lower the energy cost but keeping the power increase"

Goku/Krillin: "But it's only been 2 weeks!"

Bansuri: "When you have the knowledge already, all you need to work on is execution and that's mainly control and I'm quite good at that"

Goku/Krillin: 'This guy is tough!'
