Buffy's Wish World

Amy and Willow, with the magically bound Anyanka appeared in front of a large house. It was a nice and obviously expensive place.

"Where are we," Willow asked.

"Somewhere near Buffy," Amy explained, "She should be around here somewhere. Now, she won't be able to see us, because I have us cloaked."

"Why? What if Buffy's in trouble?"

"Buffy's wish may not include you, Willow. You said you wished for everyone to basically have ther hearts desire. Buffy never wanted to be a Slayer, you know that. So her wish may have rewritten everything back to before she ever met you. Which means she may know nothing about magic or demons or vampires. So until we know for sure, we need to keep a low profile. We're here to find out if she is ok, until we know more, just rushing in could cause all kinds of problems."

"Ok, I guess that makes sense."

"Let me clue you in on something," the demon said, "she's happy, she got what she wanted."

Amy eyed her, "Interesting how you said that," she murmured.

"There she is," Willow pointed. A bright red convertible pulled into the drive and Buffy parked, then got out and pulled several bags out of the back seat and headed toward the front door of the house.

The trio followed her in, unnoticed, as she went up the stairs inside to a large room on the second floor. They watched as she put her purchases away and changed into an electric blue bikini. Then followed her back downstairs. She went outside and laid down on a lounger to tan herself.

After several minutes, Willow said, "is this all she's going to do? Shopping and sunbathing?"

"Maybe, we just need to hang out and see what else is going on."

After about an hour during which all Buffy did was turn over, they heard another car pulling into the drive and headed inside. Angel was walking up the walkway. Angel in bright sunlight.

"That's Buffy wish!" Willow exclaimed, "for Angel to be human, so they can be together. Oh! They must be so happy."

"Un huh," Amy said, eyeing Willow, "Yep, happy." She could hear the demon stifling a laugh behind them, 'Was Willow really a genius or just really naive?' Amy thought.

Angel was talking on a cell phone, "Yes, I will meet you at the hotel, I just need to put in an appearance with Buffy and then I will see you soon. Be ready for me."

Angel opened the front door and headed out toward the back yard. Buffy heard him coming and got up and met him at the back door.

"Good, your home," she said, greeting him with a kiss. "Maggie should have supper ready soon. I'm just going to get changed."

"Me too. Did you have a good day?"

"Yes got some shopping done and soaked up some rays. Typical Saturday. Everything ok at the office."

"Yes, but I need to go back, I have a meeting, The client could only get out this evening, some family deal going on right now, so after supper, I need to head back out."

Buffy frowned briefly as she went into their large ensuite to shower and change, then said, "Ok, well we can have a day in tomorrow."

Once they had both dressed they headed down to the dining room, where the housekeeper served them dinner. Angel discussed some of his day, but Buffy clearly wasn't interested. When he paused she told him, "Mom needs me to cover for her at the gallery this week. She's going on a buying trip. I'll probably be working late all week, but maybe we can have a date night next weekend."

"Sure, that sounds fun. Why don't you make some reservations. Oh, look at the time, I've got get going. I don't want be late."

"Let's get in the car with him," Amy suggested, "After all we need make sure they're both ok."

"You sure?" Willow asked, "they both seem fine to me."

"Yum, yah, I think it will definitely give us some answers."

The climbed into the car, unnoticed by Angel, as he drove to a nice hotel.

"He's meeting a client here?" Willow asked, confused, "They must have meeting rooms."

"Yah, a meeting room," Anyanka muttered. Amy could sympathize, maybe Willow was being obtuse on purpose, because she just didn't want to deal with reality.

They followed Angel into the elevator and up to a room on the fifth floor. He knocked on a door and it opened to show a young woman. She looked to be about college age. Blond, short, cute. And not wearing much. Just a short silky, nearly transparent robe. She beckoned Angel in and closed the door as he reached for her.

Fortunately, for Willow's sanity, the trio stayed in the hallway.

"Angel's cheating on Buffy? But their wish came true, their supposed to be happy, why aren't they happy?!"

"Willow, Buffy's wish came true."

"I don't understand, Buffy's wish cannot be for Angel to cheat on her!"

"No, I'm pretty sure your right about that."

"Then why is he cheating?!"

"For the same reason Xander in your wish is miserable and wants a divorce."

"Amy your not making any sense, if people's wishes are coming true, then why aren't they happy."

"Oh boy, this going to be harder than I thought. Ok, let's try this. Let's follow the thread of magic to find Angel and see what there is to see."

"Amy I do not want to see Angel having sex with that girl, that's the stupidest idea, I've ever heard."

"Well let's just see what happens, ok?"

Amy concentrated on the necklace and found the thread that connected to Angel and followed it. The world changed around them again. Suddenly, it was dark out.

"Amy what happened, it was just day out and now it's dark. Where are we?"

"Looks like we're back in Sunnydale," Amy said pointing. Willow turned to look and saw Buffy and Angel fighting with several vampires.
