A Few Surprises and Organization

Date: May 16, 2014, Location: Destiny's Control interface Room; Time: 1:00 P.M.

While the majority of Destiny's crew was having their meeting with each other both Dr. Rush and Eli were checking Destiny's systems to see of the ship's condition after it's very long Journey; As well to see on Destiny's computer if there are any planets with stargates in range to resupply; As well the surprise of a seed ship that Destiny has docking with.

Dr. Rush in a calm tone and curious tone to Eli, Dr. Rush "Eli what have you found on the seed ship that Destiny has docking with?"

Eli in calm tone, Eli "Well from what I found and read on Destiny's sensors it that this seed ship is dead in space; It has no power which meaning no Life support and if we are planning to go over to the ship to check it out it will have to be in space suits."

Dr. Rush in still the same tone as before, Dr. Rush "Ah, have you been able to figure out what caused the seed ship to be dead in space to but nothing more than a floating wreck in space?"

Eli in still the same tone as before, Eli "Actually yes, from what I read and from what Destiny's sensors have picked up was that the seed ship had suffered critical damage to its power systems from 2 of its very old power regulators; These caused a massive power overload to which causing a massive explosion; According to Destiny sensors that the explosion took out a sizable chuck of the ship causing a ship wide power fail to where it's automatic repair/construction systems couldn't rebuilt."

Dr. Rush in a calm tone, Dr. Rush "Well that is unfortunate for the seed ship; If I had to guess I would say that this seed ships with a few others were scouting the area for habitable planets for the ancients to travel to put stargates on; However it looks like this seed ship found this planet that was similar to Earth to place a stargate on it; However before the ship's could it suffered critical damage to its power systems from 2 of its power regulators causing a massive power overload to which causing a massive explosion; As well with the explosion took out a sizable chuck of the ship causing a ship wide power fail to where it's automatic repair/construction systems couldn't rebuilt; I was guess as well as to why Destiny has docked with it I would say that Destiny is hoping that we could possible salvage the dead seed ship from materials; Or for was to help the seed ship and repairs and getting it back to working order; As well maybe added an additional ship to our growing fleet. Anyway now that we know the condition of the seed ship could you do quick math calculations to see how far away from Earth we are according to our journey?"

Eli in a calm and now curious tone, Eli "I can do that Rush but why do you want to know?"

Dr. Rush in a calm and now somewhat annoyed tone, Dr. Rush "Because I know Colonel Young and the whole crew may want to know where we are; As well if we're able to reestablish contact with Earth they may want to know where we are relatively to them; As well to see if Stargate command as find a way to rescue us or to resupply us with much needed supplies."

Eli in a calm and accepting tone, Eli "Alright Rush I'll get on."

Dr. Rush in calm accepting tone, Dr. Rush "Thank you. I'll be double checking Destiny's systems to see of the ship's condition after it's very long Journey. As well to be ready when Colonel Young and Mrs. Wray to see what shape we're in."

Time: 1:07 P.M.

As both Colonel Young and Mrs. Wray made their way into the Control interface room they both saw Dr. Rush and Eli working at the computer consoles. Colonel Young cleared his throat to get both Rush's and Eli's attention. After he did that he saw that he got their attention he turned his attention to both of them and in a calm and concerned tone, Colonel Young "Rush, Eli Have you been able find on Destiny's computer if there are any planets in this star system and the surround area systems that have a stargate within range for us to gate to?"

Eli was to 1st to answer in a calm tone, Eli "Actually yes Colonel, according to the ship computer there are 12 planets within range with stargates. Sadly 3 of them are locked out for some reason. As for the star system We're in there are 3 planets; 1 is a super Jupiter; 1 is a Super Earth with no stargate but has a breathable atmosphere for us and has a moderate amount of vegetation but with a surface gravity roughly 6x's of that of Earth; Meaning Colonel that even if we able to land on the planet the surface gravity would be too much for us and would cause us to move hardly at all; As well with that much gravity it well cause massive long term damage to our bodies organs and bone structure to that can't be reversed. As for the last planet the middle 1 in this star system it similar to Earth in size and has roughly the same surface gravity; As well has a breathable atmosphere for us but has limited amounts of vegetation spread across the Planet; As well it doesn't have a stargate because of the dead wreck seed ship that we docked with didn't place a stargate on it before it become a dead wreck in space."

Both Colonel Young and Mrs. Wray had both a shocked and surprised look on their faces after hearing that Destiny had found another seed ancient and had docked with it. Both were able to recompose themselves, but Mrs. Wray was able to 1st to speak in a moderately calm, shocked and curious tone, Mrs. Wray "Whoa, whoa wait minute Eli how is there an ancient seed ship docked with us? I thought they were way ahead of us setting up stargates on planets to guide us towards the next leg of our journey?"

Eli in calm tone, Eli "That they are Ms. Wray but I did say that this seed ships is a dead wreck in space."

Mrs. Wray in a calm and curious tone, Mrs. Wray "Oh I see Eli. Is it possible to tell us how the seed ship ended up as a dead wreck in space that we are docked with."

Time: 1:15 P.M.

Over the next few minutes Eli explained to Colonel Young and Mrs. Wray of what happened to the seed ship according to Destiny's sensors; As well to what both he and Rush theorized as to why Destiny would have docked with it; After he finished explaining what happened to the seed ship Eli in a calm tone, Eli "Colonel if you guys are planning to go over to the ship to check it out it will have to be in space suits."

Colonel Young in a calm tone, Colonel Young "Thank you Eli and I planning to send a small team aboard the seed ship with space suit to see if they can gain access to the ship main computer; As well if it's possible to restore power and life support on it for the team to breath on the ship without the need of space suits; Now onto other subject have you guys found out why the air is moderately thin having us having trouble breathing to degree forcing us to take controlled breaths?"

Rush was the 1 to answer in calm and somewhat concerned tone, Rush "Actually yes Colonel, It looks like that my theory I told you when we awake up that the waste case happened; According to Destiny's sensors and logs we have received after our long journey new damage from the long journey in 1 of Destiny's own engine power regulators from very old age failed and exploded; However before the engine power regulator exploded Destiny's A.I. was able to contain the explosion and reduce the size of the explosion by diverting a moderate amount of power from it; As well by diverting a moderate amount of power away from its engine power regulators its main engine systems were left undamaged; However, with the loss of the of 1 of 8 of its power regulators Destiny main power has reduced to 30%; According to the Destiny sensors and logs with the loss of some of its main power in the explosion the ships outer ship hull structural integrity was moderately intact around the area to not cause massive ship main outer hull structural integrity.

However, the internal structural integrity was a different story; According to Destiny's internal scanners that the explosion has destroyed 5, 3 heavily, 2 moderately and 1 minimal surrounding compartment damaged; Both the 5 destroyed, 3 heavily, 2 moderately compartments within the area of the outer ship hull were pierced causing the area of were the damaged or destroyed compartments were venting atmosphere into outer space; Thankfully Destiny was able to modify its shields to stop the majority of the atmosphere to vent out; As well activating the emergency hatches to close off the damaged or destroyed compartment areas; Colonel Young it will take Destiny awhile to recover from the air lost if at all."

Colonel Young in a calm resigned tone, Colonel Young "Well this surprise is very unfortunate Rush."

Before Colonel Young anyone let could continue Rush heard over his radio he heard from Lt. Scott in a calm concerned and somewhat curious tone, Lt. Scott "Dr. Rush please come in, It's Lt. Scott."

Dr. Rush in a calm tone, Dr. Rush "Go head Lt."

Lt. Scott in a calm concerned tone, Lt. Scott "Yah Rush my team are near 1 of the engine power regulators room bulkhead areas and the door won't open. We tried to open the Bulkhead but it won't let us. Plus, when I touched the bulkhead door it was ice cold and I hear what sound like wind behind the door. I was wondering could you check on your end to see if this engine power regulators room was damage from our long Journey?"

Dr. Rush in calm tone, Dr Rush "Lt. Scott, I have checked a few minutes ago for new damage and have find that new damage is in the area you're in; That is why the Bulkhead door to the area and few of the compartments around it are both destroyed and damage. You should radio your fellow scout search teams tell them to check the surrounding areas if they're as you describe them; If they are then please mark them down to let rest of the crew to not enter the areas.

Lt. Scott in a calm and acceptable tone, Lt. Scott "Copy that, Rush."

Time: 1:25 P.M.

After hearing the conversation between Rush and Lt. Scott, Colonel Young got on his radio in a calm commanding tone, Colonel Young "Lt. Scott come in its Young."

Lt. Scott in a calm and curious tone, Lt. Scott "Lt. Scott hear Sir, what can I do for you?"

Colonel Young in the previous tone. Colonel Young "Lt. Scott after both your scout search and the other teams in the area are finished scouting and search the area; I need to you head the Medical, Mess Hall and Armory to see if that have finished going through inventory and have drawing lists of things they may need from the planets within range."

Lt. Scott in a calm acceptable tone, Lt. Scott "Yes, sir."

Colonel Young continued in the same tone as before, Colonel Young "After your done with all that I need you go to some of the gathering areas to gather SG team personal and a fellow science personal to organize them to begin going to the nearest planets with stargates within range of Destiny to begin scouting and gathering any edible food and other resources we may need; After you do that send them off to their assigned assignments."

Lt. Scott in a calm acceptable tone, Lt. Scott "Copy that, Sir."

Colonel Young in the previous tone, Colonel Young "Lt. Scott when you're finished with all of that I need you to pilot the shuttle with a team of scientists to the 2nd planet in this system that is habitable but doesn't have a stargate to search for any edible food among other resources we need, is that understand."

Lt. Scott in calm accepting and this time a little annoyed tone, Lt. Scott "Affirmative, Sir."

Colonel Young in a calm commanding and somewhat annoyed tone, Colonel Young "Watch your tone Lt. we have a lot of work to do.(After that Colonel Young turned his attention back to Dr. Rush and Eli and shifted his tone into a calm and curious tone.) Alright who do you guys have in mind on how is going over to the seed shipwreck to see what we have do for the ship; Or possible salvage from the ship to see what the ship may have for us?"

Dr. Rush in a calm and thoughtful tone, Dr. Rush "Well after we announce that we have come across another seed ship again there will be people that would want to go and check it out; I would say both myself and Mr. Brody if he is available if not maybe Mr. Volker; If either of them aren't available I would like to have 2 of your military personal to come with me as possible back up to the seed ship in-case there are some unforeseen threats."

Colonel Young in a calm acceptable tone, Colonel Young "Very well Rush I see what I can do but I can't promise you anything."

Eli in a calm and curious tone, Eli "Yeah Rush what of me I would like to head off to the seed ship and check it out."

Rush in a calm and somewhat annoyed tone, Rush "Eli your far to valuable to go seed ship because I need someone just as capable as myself or better to watch over Destiny and to continue her mission."

Eli in a calm and somewhat annoyed tone, Eli "Alright, Alright Rush I get I'm far too valuable to lose; However, If I'm stay here, I'm going to be your tech support over the radio got it."

Rush in the same tone as before, Rush "Oh very well Eli."

After both Rush and Eli finished their conversation Colonel Young turned his attention to Eli and in calm and curious tone, Colonel Young "Eli can you see if you can do some calculations to see how far away from Earth we are according to our journey?(In response Eli just handed Colonel Young a piece of paper.) What is this Eli?"

Eli in a calm tone, Eli "That is the calculations to see how far away from Earth we are according to our journey that I did early thanks to Rush's suggestion because he knows you so well."

Colonel Young in a calm and somewhat sarcastic tone, Colonel Young "Ah I see, Good for you Rush."

Dr. Rush in an equally calm and somewhat sarcastic Tone, Dr. Rush "Well I know you want to get this crew home as soon as possible; Or as least have a way for Stargate Command to resupply us so far out here."

Colonel Young in a calm tone, Colonel Young "Well can you blame me; I care deeply for this crew even though I don't show it and I want to keep them in contact with their friends and families; As well hopeful if Stargate Command is able to least reach us at least once to resupply us so far out here; Anyway according to Eli's math we're 4.8 billion light-years away from Earth."

Mrs. Wray in a calm and somewhat surprised tone, Mrs. Wray "That is pretty damn far away Eli."

Eli calm and somewhat amusing tone, Eli "Yah Mrs. Wray given Destiny was launched over 60 million years ago and during the time it has passed through over 3,500 galaxies of various sizes."

Mrs. Wray in a calm and amazing tone, Mrs. Wray "Wow that's amazing Eli."

Eli in a calm tone "That it is Mrs. Wray."

Colonel Young in a calm and somewhat annoyed tone, Colonel Young "Anyway come Mrs. Wray since we now have the news to tell the crew, the SG teams and shuttle group after their done with their assignments; I think we should go to our usual duties with me going to tell Dr. Boone to setup the L.R.C. system for us to try to reestablish contact with Earth to tell them that we are still alive and have made it through our 3-year journey; I will contact you went Dr. Boone has ready the L.R.C. system for us to use."

Mrs. Wray in a calm and accepting tone, Mrs. Wray "Very well Colonel Young now if you excuse me have duties to attend to."

Colonel Young in a calm tone, Colonel Young "Very well Mrs. Wray;(He turned his attention back to Dr. Rush and Eli.) Keep me informed of any major new develops that require either my or Mrs. Wray's attention."

Dr. Rush was the 1st to answer in a calm tone, Dr. Rush "Very well Colonel."

Eli in a calm tone, Eli "Yes, Colonel."

Colonel Young in a calm tone, Colonel Young "Thank you have a nice day gentleman."
