Hello and welcome to my first experimental fanfic of Tsugumomo, in which an inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, which led to the creation of this new story…which would mix a combination of COMEDY and a bit mix of ECCHI…
This came after watching accidentally coming across an episode clip of Tsugumomo on YouTube, in which it involves two of the characters, Kazuya Kagami and Sunao Sumeragi, which piqued my curiosity, and after spending over a week of research, I managed to find the particular episode of the anime, which turns out to be episode 14 of Tsugumomo, and after watching it, I find it quite mild, but after reading chapters 31-33 of the manga, I found out that it was quite UNCENSORED, and this inspired me to come up with a fanfic featuring the two.
As an experiment, I decided to come up with adapting the said episode/manga chapter, only this time with ACTUAL LOVE SCENES, and see if this would attract readers and fans.
This somewhat gave me an idea and decided to try this out and see if the reception is good.

Ch. 1: On'nanoko no ie ni tōchaku
A few days ago…
The scene shifts inside the dojo of the Sumeragi residence, where Sunao Sumeragi is facing her mother, Suzuri Sumeragi, where the latter learned of what happened, and she is not pleased with the fact that her daughter lost, and she chastised Sunao for rushing head-on without thinking and for being impulsive and impatient, which resulted in Kotetsu getting damaged, and is now undergoing repairs.
Suzuri then told Sunao that because of that, the latter cannot inherit the dojo, which upsets her and she could only remain silent, yet her mother told her that there are a few options left to solve this situation without issues:
- Find Kazuya and defeat him, even if she has to resort to kill him;
- Marry Kazuya Kagami;
Sunao stared wide-eyed at hearing the second option, asking her mother if she knows what she is saying, which Suzuri nodded while glaring at her daughter, asking her if she has any suggestions as the options she laid out are the only methods in order for Sunao not to get disinherited.
"You heard me loud and clear!"
"But…but…marrying Kagami…?"
"You got a problem?"
"Uh…"
"Think about it…it's the least easiest way for you…"
"Still…marrying him…"
"If you think you have a better solution, then let me hear them!"
"…"
Sunao twitched her eyes as Suzuri glared at her as she continues to berate her daughter for her carelessness and recklessness that puts her in her current predicament.
Present time…
A few more days have passed, and things appeared to be business as usual, ever since the last encounter between Kazuya Kagami and Sunao Sumeragi, in which Sunao did not challenge him again and that peace has somewhat returned at his neighborhood and school.
At the Kagami residence, the scene shows that Kazuya and Kukuri are having a discussion, where Kazuya tells Kukuri of a dream he had of Kiriha and a woman with a black obi. Kukuri chuckled and assured to him that there is nothing for him to worry about, which somewhat made Kazuya feel at ease.
"…so that's that. You got nothing to worry, Kazuya."
"Really…?"
"Yup. Really."
"For real…?"
"That's right!"
"I see…if you say so."
"Good. Then it's settled, Kazuya."
"Okay."
As Kazuya went quiet as he felt reassured, a mentally-worried Kukuri realizes that Kazuya's sealed memories returning appeared to be a side effect of him using Ascension and tells herself she will warn Kiriha about using it later.

Meanwhile, the scene shows that Kiriha arriving at the Sumeragi residence's front door, but no one answers her. As Kiriha is pondering on whether to proceed or not, she is startled when Sunao was suddenly launched out of her house, through the walls at the side of the door. Kiriha checks to see if Sunao is okay and meets Susumu Sumeragi who begins to cry over Sunao, worrying if she is okay.
"Sunao!"
"…"
"Speak to me!"
"…"
"Don't die!"
"…"
"You're my precious treasure!"
"…"
Emerging from the broken wall, Suzuri Sumeragi tells her husband not to coddle Sunao. Susumu objects, reasoning that it is quite too much and urged her to be a bit easy on their only daughter, but she wouldn't relent, insisting that this is training and she must make sure that their daughter is in top shape if she intend to continue her career as an exorcist, which made him feel reluctant.
"No means no, Susumu!"
"But…"
"Sunao must get stronger! She lost to a boy who also happened to be an exorcist!"
"Still…isn't this a bit…"
"This is for her own good!"
"Come on, Suzuri! Can't you go a little…"
"No means no! The training should be…"
"But…"
However, Sunao got up, telling her dad that it is okay, reiterating that she has to get stronger in order to become a strong exorcist and defeat all malevolent spirits, even if it would kill her, which her dad pleaded to his daughter not to push herself too hard, but she wouldn't relent as she made it clear that her mind is already made up and this is her decision.
"No means no, dad!"
"But…"
"I really got to get stronger! I lost to a boy who also happened to be an exorcist! If I'm going to inherit the dojo…I got to get stronger no matter what!"
"Still…isn't this a bit…"
"Its fine, dad!"
"Come on, Sunao! Can't you at least take a little…"
"No means no! I'm really going to train myself…!"
"But…"
As Sunao gets up, she is clenching her fists as she is set to continue her duel with her mother, which the two females charged at one another, and as Susumu watches on, Kiriha approached him and asked what is going on, and after being told, Kiriha sighed as she wondered if her coming here is a good time, but then she and Susumu overheard Suzuri and Sunao exchanging words as sounds of the duel can be heard, which got a bit louder.
"Come at me!"
"RRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"
"Use your strength! Don't be a whiner!"
"RRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"
"Show me what you got!"
"RRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"
"Do it!"
"RRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"
As Susumu and Kiriha peered through, both blinked their eyes as they saw Sunao sprawled on the floor while Suzuri stood there, showing that Sunao is promptly defeated. Kiriha sweat-dropped and wondered if she should push through with her surprise visit or not while Susumu CRIED over his daughter's knocked out body, which Suzuri told her husband to stop acting like a crybaby.
"Sunao!"
"Susumu, would you…"
"Speak to me!"
"Hey…stop spoiling our daughter…"
"Don't die!"
"Aren't you listening, Susumu…?"
"You're my precious treasure!"
"Goodness me…"

About 30 minutes later, the DAMAGE in the dojo was REPAIRED, and there Kiriha meets with Sunao in her home, where Sunao apologizes for the trouble she has caused to Kiriha and Kazuya. Kiriha nodded and tells her that it is okay, stating that everything is BURIED, which Sunao nodded, though Kiriha asked if there is a problem between Sunao and her mother, which she was told that it is just training.
"Really, Sunao?"
"Yeah. What you saw is training."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah. Seriously. I need to get stronger, you know."
"I see. Good for you."
"…"
"Oh, by the way…how's Kotetsu doing?"
Sunao tells Kiriha that Kotetsu is undergoing repairs and they are both glad he is alright. After that, Sunao wondered about something, ever since her last encounter with Kazuya, she was wondering about the revelations she got, as well as she wanted to know about Kanaka's circumstances, as she is still disturbed about the fact that Kanaka passed away.
Wanting to know the details, Sunao asks how Kanaka died and Kiriha tells Sunao that she killed Kanaka after she became possessed. Sunao was quite disturbed when told of the circumstances and how this affected Kazuya, as well as his struggles.
"Are you serious, Kiriha?"
"Yeah. What you're hearing right now is the truth."
"Seriously? Kanaka was…?"
"Yeah. Seriously."
"And therefore…"
"You heard me, Sunao…"
"…"
Sunao was silent as Kiriha explained what else took place and how it led to their current situation, which the atmosphere went silent and solemn.

The next day, the scene shows that Kazuya arriving at the Sumeragi residence, amazed at its grandeur. Upon walking closer, he is overcome with an aura of death while unbeknownst to Kazuya, Susumu stands on the other side of the door ready to strike him down for hurting Sunao, seemingly forgetting the fact that it was a duel between the two exorcists as well as believing that Kazuya was responsible for Sunao's FALL FROM GRACE.
However, Suzuri reacted discreetly and disposes of Susumu, causing the aura to disappear, and invites Kazuya inside. There Kazuya introduces himself which she nodded in response.
"Oh, please come in…"
"Thanks. My name is Kazuya Kagami and…"
"Yes…I heard about you."
"R-really…?"
"Yes. Sunao told me about you."
"Uh…well…"
"Don't worry. Everything is fine."
"O-okay…"
After that, Suzuri leads Kazuya to Sunao, who is waiting inside the shoji, and he blinked his eyes upon seeing her wearing a kimono, and upon seeing the teen boy, Sunao prostrates herself before Kazuya, which he politely told her that she doesn't need to do that.
"K-Kazuya…welcome…to our…humble abode…"
"Uh…Sunao…"
"P-please…come on in…"
"Uh…it's okay…you don't have to…"
"I…insist…"
"…"
"So please…"
"O-okay…I get it…"
Suzuri glanced at the two teens who are interacting in an awkward way, yet she doesn't seemed to be bothered and went towards the kitchen to prepare some tea, but along the way she saw Susumu lurking and mumbling about taking out Kazuya, prompting her to knock him down.
After a minute she approached the two teens, and after giving the two some tea, Suzuri leaves the two alone and closes the shoji.
While alone, Sunao apologizes to Kazuya for her previous actions and thanks him for helping her realize what is important to her. Kazuya tells Sunao that she is very honest with her feelings, his words reminding Sunao of her brother. After a while, Sunao asks Kazuya out, explaining that she is unable to the Sumeragi dojo since Kazuya defeated her in combat unless he marries her.
"Huh?"
"Please, Kazuya…!"
"Er…"
"Just pretend to be my boyfriend…!"
"That's...I mean…"
"Please! I'm asking you a favor!"
"But…Sunao…that's…"
"…"
Sunao begs Kauzya before threatening him when Suzuri suddenly returns. Suzuri opens the shoji to find the two acting like a romantic couple. The two attempt to reaffirm themselves as a couple to Suzuri, though Kazuya was reluctant as he was PHYSICALLY being PERSUADED, but Suzuri decided to test them to see if they are serious by having the two bathe together. NAKED AND ALL.
Sunao and Kazuya blushed deeply as she asked Suzuri if she is serious about what she said, and the latter glared as she said that she wants to be sure of Sunao and Kazuya are really a couple and that it would be a GOOD PRACTICE for fiancées before getting married to each other.
"Are you serious, mom?"
"Yes. You heard me loud and clear."
"Seriously? You want me and Kazuya to…?"
"Yes. Take a bath together. NAKED and all."
"But…but…"
"You heard me, Sunao…you and your boyfriend are taking a bath together. As in now."
"…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as it borrows heavily from the Sunao Sumeragi arc of the manga, and while roughly the same, though it ended in a cliffhanger as Suzuri told Sunao that for her to be convinced that Sunao and Kazuya are really a couple, they would have to prove it, which a series of ECCHI moments are slated to take place.
