"I'm having coffee and an omelet with extra hash… I feel really hungry today, starving!" Taylor smiled but she pursed her lips as Victoria stared out the window thinking about Kate Marsh. She assumed Max and Kate broke up since she hadn't been hanging around Max's room everyday. She came to her own conclusions then.

Taylor tapped the table with the palm of her hand to get her attention. She wouldn't shut up the whole bus ride to Joyce's diner- going on and on about something like the end of the world… Yada, yada, yada! Blah, blah, blah, look at me, I'm Taylor, I'm Victoria Chase's very best friend! Au revoir, kiss, kiss~

Victoria almost laughed as she looked back at Taylor. Taylor smiled up at Joyce as they ordered and handed her the menus.

She smiled at Victoria again. "So I heard something yesterday that might peak your interests!" She winked and glanced out the window. She was obviously trying to bait Victoria into a response.

It was annoying but Victoria bit her lip to stop from saying anything that let on to her annoyance. If she really acted on impulse, she would've gone into the bathroom- ignoring Taylor- and planted a big old smooch on Kate Marsh and hoped for more. Taylor probably would've followed her in there and ruined it anyhow. Victoria just crossed her arms, rolled her eyes, and leaned her back on the cushioned booth.

"Okay Taylor~" She cooed and she could have sworn that her BFF's face beamed with pride as she looked back. She was really enjoying hearing the hot gos before Victoria huh? C'est la vie~

"Well go on!" Victoria encouraged as she waved her hand around and around with a raised brow. Taylor reminded her of a puppy sometimes that was not letting you throw the toy for them, but made you chase after them anyway.

A very grown up puppy!

"I heard Max and Kate sit in a tree…" She grinned slyly and moved closer. With a palm held up to one side to shield her voice from onlookers and eavesdroppers, she even mouthed the words 'f-u-c-k-i-n-g'. Victoria was mid-sip by now- Joyce having brought back their coffee's- and gazed downward as she coughed the hot liquid caffeine down. It was sweetened with a cream and sugar, but it still kind of burned a little. She grabbed a napkin and held it over he mouth as she licked her lips and gazed at the tiled flooring.

She thought this might Peak her interest?!

Victoria was so flustered before she remembered that this talk through the grapevine and from the peanut gallery was about the two biggest dorks at Blackwell, excluding Warren.

"Who told you that?!" Victoria sputtered as she clenched the napkin into a ball in her fist.

"…Why are you surprised? It was Mark Jefferson btw." Taylor leaned back as Joyce brought the food. Both girls thanked her and Victoria's eyes went to the Belgium waffle uneasily. Why'd she let Taylor order for her, she was gonna be sick. Maybe she should take a sick day and vent out her frustrations by dancing it out at the Vortex Club party.

Victoria's eyes narrowed as well as she almost bitterly chuckled at Taylor's mention of 'Mark.' She was really starting to dislike the Mark Jefferson fangirling and talk. To be fair, she used to be like 'Mark this' and 'Mister Jefferson that' a little over a week ago. Then stranger things started happening, and the waves of conflicting emotions swarmed and hit hard like a ton of bricks. Some days, she even thought she might die from internal combustion, and yes it both would/wouldn't be quite so spontaneous. That was a little dramatic however…

"Mark says a lot of dumb shit!" She mumbled with her mouth covered by the napkin. Taylor looked at her skeptically and Victoria cleared her throat as she unraveled the napkin onto the plate.

"So what, are you like over Mark now or what?" Taylor smirked as she put some ketchup on the hash browns and drank coffee. She seemed a little disappointed this whole interaction didn't get the intended results of more gossip and plans to torment Kate and Max with 'what Mark said.' Victoria wasn't about to let on that she had her suspicion they were true. And about was she assumed was some kind of falling out between the two.

"Yes Taylor, I think I've moved on. I don't want to always talk about Mr. Jefferson like this, nor do I want to listen to his pathetic ramblings of baseless accusations!" Victoria drank some more coffee and forced down a piece of the Belgium waffle. For a split second, she was horrified that it might come back up. But it stayed down, and she cleared her throat. Her head was spinning.

She couldn't comprehend why a dream that excited made her want to vomit, but you know! That's just a way the cookie crumbles~

"Whatever, I can't eat this, let's go!" Taylor threw down her napkin and signaled that she was waiting for the check. Victoria shielded half of her face from the world and could just imagine Joyce's pursed lips and her trying not to roll her eyes.

"You go then, I'm gonna eat… So this will be my treat!" Victoria sipped some more coffee and poured some more syrup on her waffle. She was fine now. Her head seemed to stop taking her on a rollercoaster for the moment. Her mind let out a sigh that her mouth couldn't without alerting the trained bloodhound that she was happy it was gonna go play by itself for a bit. She needed to stop with all those comparisons or she might start to dislike dogs a little! And she adored Franks dog, Pompidou.

"Thanks babe, you are the best!" Taylor camped around to kiss her bestie's cheek as customers and Joyce stared at them behind her back.

Oh yuck, quit slobbering all over me already!

It was a short kiss to both cheeks but she swore Taylor's lips lingered for a bit. She had to stop swearing!

Speaking of 'swear', she heard it more and more from Kate Marsh these days. Usually at Max. She did say 'get the fuck out of my way' once so quietly, that Victoria did a double take as she stood up from leaning against the locker of Kate.

"Alright, thanks again bestie, see ya for Mister Jefferson's dumb, boring class~" Taylor adorned a cheerful smile and a faux sunny disposition as she basically tried to keep from bouncing out of the Two Whales. She rubbed her face with an unused napkin as Joyce came over with the check. She looked a bit amused but also a bit overwhelmed.

"Can I get you a doggie bag or anything?" She asked as Victoria skimmed the check to her left. Her eyes met Joyce.

She gave a small smile and glanced thoughtfully at Taylor's largely unfinished portion. "Just for hers please."

Joyce looked at it too and nodded. Smiling, she went to get it.

Vic stared thoughtfully- her mind clouded full of thoughts- out the window at the beautiful, sunny Arcadia Bay day that gave her a little shelter from any internal torment. The Belgium waffle sliding down her belly also helped as she bit into it and kinda dreaded going to see Kate. She wasn't going to be well received, that's for shit sure. She really contemplating skipping especially that class.
