Gasp "Huh!? What the!? Where am I? How did I get here?" these were the questions of a 10 year old Izuku Midoriya who was being chased by Bakugou and his goons a minute ago. Right now, he's in a whole different place after wishing to be away from danger.
"Wait a second, did I do this? Was I the one that got myself here and away from Kacchan?" the boy continued to ask questions and come up with explanations.
"Is this a quirk? If so, then why did it manifest now? If not a quirk, then what is it? There has to be something that I can think of. Some sort of anomaly? Maybe… if I have the evidence to back it up."
Sigh Midoriya is absolutely tired and confused, being chased by Bakugou and suddenly in a place where he doesn't know of the location. It was a dojo and it looked deserted, with the wood falling apart and dust residing inside.
The dojo could've looked better, if it wasn't abandoned and taken care of properly. "Man, this place should've been saved, it looks like it could fit one whole class in each room." The boy said out loud. "But I guess the people here had issues maintaining to keep it open, and of course money is an issue."
Midoriya thought that now is a good time to go home, his mum must be worried sick. He considered teleporting inside his home but hesitated. "I think it's best I teleport outside. Don't want to explain to mum about why I was suddenly inside the house and how I did it without making a sound."
So that's what he did and it worked. He acted as though he came from school and walked all the way to home. When in reality, he was being chased by Bakugou and his goons, teleported to an abandoned dojo, came up with questions and explanations, and now he was here, at home.
'Okay, whenever I get the chance, I'll test my powers at the dojo and learn to defend myself without depending on teleporting too much' thought the green haired boy while he took a shower.
A new fire started to burn inside Midoriya with determination. "I'm not going to be a punching bag anymore. I don't want to be a hero anymore if society let's people like Kach- no Bakugou loose and give them appraisal to do horrible things. I'm going to be a simple person. Someone that helps out the little guy. Someone that jumps in to save another. Jump? Heh, I'm going to be… The Jumper!" he yelled the last part with passion.
"Izuku, dinner is ready! Finish cleaning up before the food gets cold" Inko yelled outside the bathroom. "Coming!" Izuku yelled back.
Presently, he is now fully clothed and is seated at the dining table. He looks to be in deep thought and his mother noticed the untouched food. "Sweetie, is everything okay?" asked Inko. "Huh? Oh, I was just thinking" said Izuku. "About what?" "Well, I…" The boy trailed off, thinking about whether or not to tell his mother about the events that recently happened today.
It was at this moment that he knew, he can't lie for so long and he can't hide it forever. So he told her everything that happened, Bakugou chasing him, teleporting to a dojo, deciding to be someone that helps the little guy, and giving himself his own title The Jumper.
It was quite shocking for Inko, to see her son suddenly having teleportation powers when he demonstrated it. "What do you want to be if not a hero?" she asks Izuku. "Well, I'm curious about office working." Said the green haired boy. "Why is that?" "You know how I have my hero journals?" Inko nodded "Yes, you analyse heroes, and write their ups and downs" Izuku nodded back and explained how he mutters while writing and how he could implement them to filing paperwork and writing up reports. "That could work, and you are attentive and hardworking sweetie" The boy smiled bashfully at the comment and thanked his mother.
Inko gently hugs Izuku, and tells him not to worry about Bakugou and the others as the two of them will be moving out and somewhere with less resentment. "Can I at least choose where I want to work at before moving out?" asked the green haired boy. "Of course, anything for my Izuku." His mother lightly chuckled.
He went straight to his laptop and started searching for newspaper companies to apply for. He found one that's available, and it's… "Hmm, this is near UA, and it's a couple of blocks away." Izuku momentarily thinks about it and… "I'll be choosing this." He smiled widely. This is going to be very interesting.
