"Dang It! This Is Bull Carp!"

On the stage of an abandoned theater, Klarion was seen playing Gungi against Komugi, which he was losing to without any difficulty whatsoever

"I Want A Rematch!"

"Ok~"

After losing a match, Klarion quickly demanded a rematch, no doubt hating and refusing the idea of losing to a stuffy-nosed blind girl; though Komugi didn't see a problem with it and just happily accepted his challenge with a happy calm smile.

"You know, seeing someone else lose against Komugi is kind of refreshing in a way."

As the Witch Boy and Gungi Player played another game against each other, Meruem and Neferpitou could be seen standing off to the side and simply watching them start another match; the ultimate ant was watching the two, the chimera neko just shamefully looked down at her feet, rubbing her arm in a stressful, upset manner.

"... I'm not upset with you, Pitou."

"BUT SIRE! I Basically Abandoned You For Another Master! Even If It Was For The Sake Of Healing You, What I Did Was Unforgivable!"

Neferpitou couldn't hold it in anymore, as she quickly fell to her knees and bowed before the supreme chimera, showing off her feelings of regret and remorse for what she had done; it made her heart ache so much that she started to shake and cry.

"M-My betrayal to the King is the biggest sin any Royal Guard could make, a-and only death is the only way to earn your forgiveness-"

Before Neferpitou could continue to express more of her sadness and shame, she was interrupted by having her head tapped by something, causing her to look up and see that it was the tail of her ex-master that she had betrayed, which had just bonked against her head.

"There, you've been punished for your betrayal, now stop acting so pathetic."

Meruem was still watching the Chaos Lord and blind girl play their fourth game of Gungi, but the insect kitty could tell that he was also paying attention and listening to her feelings.

"B-But King-"

"Stop calling me King, I already told you that I don't have any desire to be that anymore."

Meruem glanced back at Neferpitou with slight annoyance from being called "King," which made her flinch and look away; her heart ached even worse when she thought she had made him upset, which he once again noticed and sighed.

"Why are you so loyal to me? I know it can't just be because you were born to follow me, your human DNA is proof of that."

Meruem fully turned and faced Pitou, giving her his full attention and wanting to know why she acted the way she did.

"If it's really the instinctual desire to worship the strong, then just continue to follow your new master, his magical powers already surpass my current power-"

"It's Not That!"

Neferpitou couldn't help but shout out, which surprised both her and Meruem; however, he decided not to say anything and chose to listen more to what she had to say, which did make her anxious and hesitant. After a bit of consideration, she couldn't but just sigh in defeat and speak the absolute truth.

"... You've changed so much after your birth, and matured so quickly, you were once a cold and merciless person who wanted nothing more than to rule the world with an iron fist, but now you're just a simple man who wants nothing more than to play games with someone you've deemed worthy to spare and not eat, despite having the flavors you crave."

Neferpitou lifted up her head and gave the Ex-King a weak, small, but gentle smile, which made him go wide eyed a bit.

"I just want to continue to help and watch you grow up more, Sire, to see how much you would change, and what kind of different person you'll become next…"

What Neferpitou said was enough to make the supreme chimera go silent, not only from what she said with such emotions, but also from the realization of how true her words were, as he looked at his hands and began to recall every moment he had experienced throughout his life, from the very beginning to now.

"DANG IT!!!"

Before more could be said, they were both interrupted by the sound and yells of a very frustrated Klarion; as they looked over, they saw him slamming his fist into the Gungi board with extreme rage and stress.

"That's it, I'm bored of the game now, and totally not because I lost my 50th game against you mortal child!"

Klarion quickly sat up and huffed, as he made himself float from his seat and fly towards both chimera, leaving behind a confused blind girl who didn't understand what was happening.

"Neferpitou! Let's go torture some puppies or something, I know a family that has lots of them."

Klarion then landed and stood next to his familiar, using one hand to grab onto her shoulder and used the other to snap his fingers to open a portal; his companion couldn't help but tense up when she realized she was about to leave her sire alone, though just as she was about to protest.

"Klarion was it?"

The Witch Boy paused himself from going through the portal and he, along with the chimera necko, looked at Meruem, who had stopped them and was now speaking to them.

"While Pitou is no longer my Royal Guard, may I still be able to see her when I need her?"

Meruem made a request to see Pitou again if he could, which made her gasp in surprise, not expecting him to ask for such a thing, but still, it was enough to make her smile softly and warm her heart; however, the Chaos Lord did not feel the same way about this.

"What?! No! She's mine, go find your own pussy cat if you-"

Klarion was about to say, and probably do, something very nasty, just because of the ultimate ant wanted to have and be with his new familiar, however before he could actually do something nasty and horrible, he was immediately stopped by a certain kitty cat grabbing his sleeve

"Please?..."

Neferpitou, though embarrassed and upset by having to do this, begged her new owner, and even showed him a face that resembled a cat begging face; her kitty ears were bent down, her eyes were wide and round, she even wagged her tail and made a gentle clawing motion with her free hand. She did all of this with the hope of convincing the Witch Boy to say yes, which seemed to have worked a little too well.

"Awww, I can never say no to you~"

Klarion quickly hugged and petted Pitou's head, much to her increasingly blushing embarrassment, which only made her cuter in his eyes; once he was instantly convinced, he snapped his fingers at the Supreme Chimera, resulting in a magic circle appearing on the top of his hand.

"You can contact her by pressing that symbol on your hand, though you will have to ask me if you want to see her personally."

Klarion quickly explained the purpose of the symbol on the Ex-King's hand, while sitting criss-cross in midair, with the chimera neko perched on his lap, who was still unhappy about the situation, although she had been able to relax a bit more with the knowledge of being able to see her sire whenever she wanted.

"You have my thanks."

Meruem gave a short polite bow, and with nothing more to say or do, both the Chaos Lord and his insect kitty let the portal consume them and simply disappeared from sight, leaving him alone with the Gungi Player once more, to which he walked towards.

"Did you have fun playing with Klarion?"

Meruem took his seat and quickly set up his pieces on the board.

"I did!~ He was definitely a tricky opponent, using special moves that I have never seen before, but I still managed to beat him lickety-split~"

Komugi clearly seemed happy, even though she most likely didn't know what was going on due to her blindness and airhead nature, which did make the ex-king happy to see.

'Judging from the magical aura left behind on these pieces, Klarion probably tried to cheat against her using his power, yet even so, she still managed to beat him.'

Once Meruem finished putting the last pieces on the board, he looked at her with a light smile on his face.

"You're amazing as always Komugi."

"T-Thank you for saying that Meruem, hehe~"

Komugi couldn't help but smile brightly and blush from hearing Meruem compliment her like that; to which he chuckled in response.

"Now then, ready to continue playing Komugi?"

"Yup, sure am Meruem!~"

And with that, both Meruem and Komugi continued to spend the rest of their time together playing Gungi, with no interruptions or stops, just two people having fun and enjoying each other's company…

"-And even though his own magical powers weren't even close to rivaling the Child, he was still able to use what he had to defeat her, by using her own power to destroy her anchor."

Meanwhile, on some space station, we see Dr. Fate and Zatanna in the middle of speaking to a group of superheroes about what just happened and what they've witnessed.

"And after that, the one called Meruem left the scene with Klarion after Child was defeated, at this moment we have no clue on where they are."

Zatanna then finished her report, no longer having much more to say.

"Is this, 'Meruem', person a threat that we should be concerned about?"

One of the many heroes in the room, specifically a man in red and blue and with a 'S' symbol on his chest, he was known as Superman, and he was the one who asked the question about whether or not they should all be wary of this new potential threat

"While true he did help Klarion, he himself stated that it was to only repay a debt to him, so at this moment, his true intentions and plans for the future are unknown to us."

Dr. Fate answered the question, but it didn't really make the situation any better at the moment.

"Well, we can't simply hunt him down and arrest him, not only did he do nothing wrong, but he even seemed to help us protect our world and saved everyone in it."

Another hero, who was an Amazonian woman named Wonder Woman, gave her opinion on the matter and pointed out that they couldn't do anything either way without a valid reason to do so.

"Though it would be stupid to leave him alone unsupervised."

The other hero was a man in a bat suit, named Batman obviously, and he quickly stood up and started to leave the room.

"I shall go look for him, if he is still on Earth, then I should be able to find him, I'll let you all know if I come up with anything."

And with that, Batman was gone, causing everyone to sigh and shake their heads; no one was surprised by his response.

"The lone wolf as always."

Zatanna chuckled and rubbed the back of her head, already used to this type of thing, but she couldn't help but smile at it.

"Do you know anything else about this person?"

Superman looked back at both Zatanna and Dr. Fate, as he and the others were still curious if they had any additional information to share with them; the two magic users took a moment to think about it.

"Oh yeah, do any of you know what Gungi is?"

What are your thoughts on Neferpitou being a mother figure to Meruem? Also what kind of relationship should Meruem and Komugi have? ALSO ALSO, since Neferpitou is a female, and Meruem no longer has the desire to be King, does that mean she would become the new Queen of the Chimera Ants, if so, then oh boy, might see some Kittens in the future, hehe~

(Oh, by the way, to clear something up, Meruem won't be 100% unstoppable op character, in fact he could've died instantly against Child if not for his new magical upgrades and destroying her familiar, HOWEVER, he will get stronger over time, sooner or later will probably even rival the likes of Superman and others, but for now, he's just above average or more when it comes to being a threat to the DC characters)
