'Ugh, this day could not get even more complicated' were the displeased thoughts of 16 year old Midoriya who was being questioned by two police officers. Before this, the teen was carrying groceries that he bought from the local store near his home. On his way back, the two police officers intercepted him and asked if he could kindly answer questions. This made Midoriya agitated and reluctantly accepts their request.
"So… kid. Have you seen anything suspicious here lately?" the officer with a note pad asked the teen.
"Not that I know of officer…" Midoriya dully responds.
"Hey! Watch your tone young man. Otherwise you'll have a bad time." The second officer scolded or in this case threatened the green haired teen.
Sigh "I have not seen anything suspicious here lately… officer." Midoriya corrected himself.
"Good enough…" the officer accepted the teen's answer.
"Anyways… Um… I don't… Does it count that he answered that question since he hasn't seen anything odd?" the first officer asked his companion.
"What do you mean?" the second officer was confused.
"If we asked him about someone or something that he has seen, then doesn't that defeat the purpose of the first question?"
"Are they hypothetical questions?" the officer was getting even more confused.
"Well, the first question was basic but then I had a thought about it."
"What!? Man, you're seriously making me lose brain cells with this conversation. We're supposed to be questioning the kid! Not this!" at this point, the two officers are arguing and simply forgetting about the standing Midoriya.
'Hmm. From what I can tell, these two officers are rookies and this is their first patrol.' Thought the green haired teen. 'I hope nothing bad happens… Ugh. I just had to say that.'
"Hey! Cut it out man! This is our first time and we don't need to have this right now!" the first officer yelled.
"Well, if you weren't so stupid! Then maybe we could do this no problem!" His partner responded.
Gasp "You take that back!" the officer grabbed his friend's shirt and faced him.
"Make me!"
Ahem "Gentlemen." The two officers looked over to Midoriya. "Let's not do this right now, and instead make a deal."
…
…
…
"Are you trying to bribe us kid?" questioned the officers.
"What!? No! Of course not!" the teen offended by the inquiry. "What I mean is that you guys pretend that this fight never happened. And I'll forget this ever happened." Midoriya proposed.
"You mean lie?" the teen nodded. "We can't just lie-"
"Not that kind of lie. A white lie. To avoid upsetting someone, like your superior." Midoriya politely interrupted.
"Well, when you put it like that, it sounds better than the alternative." The second officer admitted. "Wait just a minute. How do we know you're not going to snitch at us the second we leave your sights?" His companion asked the teen.
"You don't." replied Midoriya ominously. "I'm usually a forgiving person. But if you cross me… then… bad things will happen." He smiled wickedly at the two officers, frightening them.
Gulp "Y-eah, sure kid, we'll take your word." The officers answered nervously.
"Good! I'm off to dinner now. Have a good day officers!" Midoriya waved cheerfully at the two before teleporting back to his home.
…
…
…
"Who was that kid?" one officer asked.
"I don't know." His companion responded
"Well… I guess we're not going to encounter him anymore."
"I think we're going to meet him again."
"Are you serious!? After what happened!?"
"Call it a hunch, but… I have a feeling he'll be a valuable asset to us."
"What, like an informant?"
"Yeah… our very own… unofficial informant."
"I doubt that will happen."
"You never know. Life finds a way."
…
…
…
Back at Midoriya's home, the teen felt a sudden chill on his body, and shuddered. "Yikes. What was that about? It's a warm day and yet… I felt a chill go through me." He puts a hand to his chin and starts thinking. 'I sure hope faith doesn't screw with me. Don't want anymore drama in my life.'
