Percy had decided to visit Thalia to find out more about Artemis. He knew that Thalia was Artemis's half-sister, and he thought that she might be able to tell him something that he didn't know.
He went to Thalia's cabin in the woods and knocked on the door. Thalia answered the door, and she looked surprised to see him.
"Percy," she said. "What are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you," Percy said.
"About what?" Thalia asked.
"About Artemis," Percy said.
Thalia's eyes widened. "What about her?" she asked.
"I need to know more about her," Percy said. "I need to know why she dosen't want to be with me."
Thalia sighed. "I don't know everything," she said. "But I can tell you that she's been through a lot. She's lost a lot of people that she loved, and she's afraid of getting hurt again."
"I know," Percy said. "But I don't understand why she can't love me. I'm not like the others. I would never hurt her."
"I know," Thalia said. "But she's not thinking rationally right now. She's scared, and she's lashing out."
"I just want her to be happy," Percy said.
"I know," Thalia said. "And I want that for her too. But she has to make her own choices. All we can do is be there for her when she's ready."
Percy nodded. He knew that Thalia was right. He just wished that there was something more that he could do.
"Thank you," he said.
"For what?" Thalia asked.
"For talking to me," Percy said. "For listening."
Thalia smiled. "Of course," she said. "That's what sisters are for."
Percy smiled back. He knew that he could always count on Thalia. She was one of his best friends, and he was lucky to have her in his life.
