The next morning, Herbert and Zeke noticed Rocket sleeping on their bed guessing he hadn't slept last night or thinking there were monsters under the bed but Zeke found it sweet, deciding not to wake him as he needed more sleep being a growing-kit, plus he had school today so they were making themselves coffee to wake themselves up, pouring cereal into a bowl for Rocket along with hot cocoa since he couldn't drink coffee hearing gentle pitter-pattering, as Rocket sleepily entered into the room sitting at the table lookijg very tired and yawning which Herbert and Zeke found adorable.
"Groot Morning daddy, papa, I didn't sleep well." he admitted
"We sort of figured that finding you on your bed." Herbert replied to him, as the male-kit was eating cereal, and drinking hot cocoa while thinking about things hoping school would go okay for him and his friends hearing the intercom and Lylla's voice which was soothing his anxiety and his tummy anxiety seeing Zeke open the door as Lylla cane in seeing he was tired which surprised her seeing him surprised Teefs and Floor weren't with her like normal.
"Their parents took them to school, they're gonna talk to the teacher about the other kids, like them being jerks at Gym." she explained notvrealising Herbert had just heard this alojg withbZeke asking Rocket why he hadn't told them.
"I only gotva few owies and protecting Teefs and Floor from getting hit, Lylla got hit too." he revealed
"Yeah KingvHerbie, it's notva big deal, kids are just mean." Lylla told him.
"We'll see about that, we should keep an eye on thijgs." he told Zeke seeing him frown, knowing Rocket had the right idea knowing Herbert was protective of their kit but hoped Rocket would have a good day knowing Lylla and his friends would help him out if anything happened to him.
"Geez, Rocket's been really tired and grumpy, is he alright." Floor asked.
"He didn't sleep good, but his dads will help him out." Lylla replied as itvwas lunchtime so they and Rocket were sitting at their usual table in the lunchroom only Teefs and Floor noticed that Rocket was sleepy, grumpy and zoning out a lot knowing rest tine was approaching which should help the male-kit feel better, and mayge in a better mood, guessing he thought there were monsters in his room.
"Ohhhhh our parents make us feel better, about that, right." he said to Floor seeing his sister nodding eating celery which Rocket was surprised she liked, deciding to keeo this to himself as not to upset Floor yawning resting his furry head on the table zoning out
