At 5:30 PM, the oven beeped. Dinner was ready. Simba opened the oven door, and very slowly and carefully, he dragged out the metal tray with the 18 fried shrimp placed onto the aluminum foil as he wore red oven mitts on both of his paws. Diego entered the kitchen and reached for the cocktail sauce in one of the cabinets. The dining room table was already set with 2 plates for each of the felines, along with 2 cans of A&W Root Beer, fresh from the refrigerator. Simba took the fresh baked shrimp over to the table and gently laid the tray down. Diego followed as he brought the bottle of cocktail sauce over to the table. The two felines sat down in their chairs and ate a nice, peaceful meal together. As they enjoyed their food, Simba took the TV remote and put on an episode of one of his favorite TV shows: The Twilight Zone. Simba and Diego always love to enjoy watching TV in the evening when they sit down at the table to eat dinner.
While the TV was playing in the background, Simba and Diego ate many shrimp, one after another. As they continued, they took turns telling each other the stories about all the huge adventures they've been on in their lives. Simba always enjoyed telling Diego the story about his huge adventure that all started back when he was a cub. It started off with him having a tragic childhood, which of course, involved the death of his father, Mufasa. He also talked about his life with Timon and Pumbaa, the day he reunited with his wife, Nala, and the epic battle he had against his evil uncle, Scar. This is when Simba was officially crowned as the King of the Pride Lands. As for Diego, he always enjoyed telling Simba the stories about his adventures with Manny and Sid, especially the day he first met his wife, Shira. "It's a shame our wives aren't here," Simba told Diego as he ate another shrimp. "If they weren't always so busy with work and going out of town on business trips a lot, they'd be here with us to join in on our Friday night fun." "I know, right?" said Diego, reaching for a shrimp. "Not only would Nala and Shira be here with us to join in on our fun tonight, but they'd also be here to spend the weekend with us." "You're absolutely right, buddy," Simba said, sipping on his can of root beer. "But hey, at least we're still going to have a ton of fun tonight." He burped. "Excuse me," he said, chuckling. "Better out than in, as Shrek always says, eh, Simba?" Diego joked, playing along. The two felines started laughing. It truly was a fun-filled evening for them.
