She leaned her back against the car door, sliding to the harsh pavement, she embraced her legs and started crying louder.
Then her phone rang indicating someone had sent a text. She looked at the phone revealing a text:
'Poor Toby. I would hate to tell him that he had a baby and that you lost it -A'.
*Sunday, November 20th, 2022- Rosewood's Theater Parking Lot- Half an hour later*
*Spencer's POV*
I couldn't do more than cry for what felt like hours although only minutes had passed. Soon I was pulled away from my thoughts by another buzz of my phone. Although this time it wasn't "A", It was Alison.
'Where r u? Everyone is here already -Alison'
'Why did I agree to go to that stupid party? I know I told Alison I'd be there, but now I'm not in the party mood... But I have to do this is the first time in years the five of us are in the same town. I have to be there. I have to be strong. I'm a Hastings Goddamnit '
With that in mind, I used all my strength and got in the car and started to drive to the 'Lost Woods Resort' where the party would be held.

*General POV*
It took Spencer no longer than thirty-five minutes to get to the reformed motel. As soon as she knocked on the door she was greeted with a furious Alison.
"What the hell took you so long?" Alison whispered angrily.
"I told you I had a concert tonight" Spencer complained.
"Yeah, but you said I would only be 2 hours." Alison started. "You took three and a half hours."
"I had a small setback" Spencer explained.
"What kind of setback Spencer?" Alison questioned.
"It was not a big deal," Spencer said trying to skip Alison's interrogation.
"Spenc-" Alison started but was cut off by a voice in the background.
"Ali? Babe? Is everything alright? What's taking you so long?" asked concerned Emily
Alison quickly responded "Yes babe everything's okay. I'll be right there" Then she turned back to face Spencer "Just come inside."
Spencer obliging entered the place. Just to see Aria right there. They quickly greeted each other with a hug.
"OMG, Aria long time no see," Spencer said excited to see her friend once again.
"I missed you so much Spencer," Aria said happily but with small tears on her face.
"Wait? Am I getting taller or you are getting smaller?" Spencer said teasing her friend.
"Ha, Ha" Aria laughed sarcastically. Before embracing her friend one more time chuckling.
"I heard you were going on a world tour for your new book," Spencer said
"Yes, we'll be off for two month's," Aria said
"That's great" Spencer responded.
"And how are you? how's the lawyer stuff going on" Aria asked out of mere curiosity.
Before Spencer could answer Alison scoffed saying "She got fired".
Spencer quickly corrected "I didn't get fired," she said looking at Alison with a 'Stop' face. She turned back to face Aria "I quit 2 years ago"
"But why?" Aria Asked
"I found out I wasn't meant for it" Spencer started "I mean. I was good at it, but it just didn't make me feel right" she exclaimed.
"Then what are you doing right now," Aria asked with a disbelief glare.
"I play the violin... Actually, I just got back from a concert" Spencer said
"Wow" Aria exclaimed
There was an awkward silence between the two girls until Hanna from her jumped from her seat as soon saw Spencer.
"Spencer!" She said quickly before hugging her friend.
"My god! That looks amazing in you" Hanna said, flattering the brunette's dress.
"Well, It's yours after all," Spencer said returning the embrace to the blonde.
"Duh, I know." Hanna scoffed "Do you think I would flatter any design that's not mine?"
"I guess not." Spencer chuckled.
Finally, Emily came to greet her friend, also hugging her. Embrace which Spencer corresponded to.
"Hi, Em how are the twins doing?" Spencer asked
"Fine, they're with a nanny at home," Emily responded.
"Alone with a nanny?" Spencer started "You're sure that's safe."
"Yeah, why wouldn't they be? 'A' is gone" Emily asked.
"Well, you know Alex could still be there" Spencer lied. She would have loved to tell her friends all about "A" coming back and their real identity. But she couldn't, that would only make them a target, just like her."
"Okay let's stop worrying about speculations, and let's PAAARTYYY" Yelled Hanna.
"Whoo!" all of them shouted at once as Alison played the music.
*Sunday, November 20th, 2022- 22 hrs- Lost Woods Resort*
*General POV*
Half an hour later everything was more silent, the music was calmer and the volume was lower. the only thing loud was the voices of the girls talking to each other.
"I can't believe we only lasted 30 minutes," Hanna said mocking themselves.
"Yup, we're getting older" Spencer continued.
"I can't believe there was a time in high school we could do this for hours," Alison said exhausted.
"Oh, High school," Hanna said remembering those times. "I do appreciate those times".
"While being haunted by 'A', no thanks," said Emily.
"I know, but even so without them, we wouldn't be the same," Hanna explained.
"We might be better," Spencer said before drinking from her glass of wine.
"I'm being serious Spencer" Hanna complained.
"So am I" Spencer interrupted.
"I don't think I would be better," Alison added looking at her glass of wine and playing with the top.
"Without all that happened then, I would still be the rotten bully and liar I once was," Alison said with a sad face. Seeing this Emily held her hand, trying to give her wife confidence.
"I wouldn't have met Ezra" Aria Added.
"And I wouldn't have met Caleb" Hanna also Added.
"Then let's toast" Spencer Started with a sad smile "For what those years taught us," she said raising her glass.
"For becoming better," Alison said also raising her glass.
"For our friendship" Aria added, joining her friends with a smile and raising her glass.
Emily also raised her glass along with Aria.
"For 'A' " Hanna joked, making everyone laugh, except for Spencer who forced a small nervous laugh.
As soon as they collided their glasses, the bell rang indicating there was someone at the door.
Alison quickly jumped from her seat, to go check who was at the door.
"Caleb, Ezra! what took you so long?" Alison said when she looked at them.
"Sorry, we had things to do," Caleb said answering her question.
"Well, come in," Alison said gesturing them to come inside.
Aria and Hanna quickly got up to hug and kiss their respective couples.
"Hi," Spencer said from her seat "Where's Toby?"
"We didn't see him anywhere." Caleb started "Lieutenant Tanner said he was on an assignment"
"Tanner is still working in the police?" Hanna asked Caleb with a disbelief face.
"No, of course not," Spencer said. "She retired years ago. Is her daughter Abigail Tanner?"
"I didn't know she was married," Aria said.
"Neither did I," Spencer said
Spencer quickly grabbed her phone and texted Toby.
'Where are you? are you coming? -Spencer'
After some minutes Toby answered her text.
'Sorry, I'm too busy with my job. I'm not gonna make it on time. -Toby'
Spencer Frustrated put her phone away, and looked up, just to see Alison playing with her necklace. A gold half-heart necklace with the initials A.D.
A necklace she had only seen one person wear in her whole life. A chain she had only seen in her tween sister Alex Drake.
A/N: What do you think? Did you like it? Why do you think Alison has that necklace? Let me read your review.
