CHAPTER 5

When Sarah was done eating, Cyrus told her where the cobbler was and a few jewelry stores close by. Sarah went to the cobblers and got a nice size pouch she could wear like a crossbody purse. It was 10x16 inches and would give them room to grow.

She went to the first jeweler and found a large 3 inch round amulet necklace. It was made in mother of pearl colors with a 3x3 inch hidden door behind it that needed a key to open. It was an infinite space. The store keeper showed her by dumping a handful of coins into it and pouring it out on the counter. Sarah thought that it was essential and she needed it to hold the gold she was carrying and in her saddle bags. Sarah put it around her neck with the little key on a separate chain. She put all of the 834 gold into the necklace the story clerk gave her for the sale. She paid 87 gold for the necklace and a small emerald ring for luck. She wore it on her left pinky finger.

Sarah sold all of the jewelry on her for 3,125 in gold. She would dump her gold into the necklace

everytime she accumulated gold by taking it back to the inn and dumping it into the necklace plus the gold she already had came to 6,287 gold. Sarah went back as a woman to the same stores and sold the rest over a period of a week. She had sold all of the jewelry for a total of 10,377 gold added in. Sarah was glad she got rid of the jewelry and had the necklace to store all of the gold. At the end of the week, she was ready to go and stocked up on all the food. She bought a bag of feed for her horse with a feed bag. She wished the bag of feed would never go empty. That night she slept well before climbing a mountain to a city on top of it in the snow. The locals said the passageway was clear until the next storm.

—--day 20

The next morning, Sarah woke up Spooky and Smokey and fed them. She got dressed in her black leather outfit again and packed up everything to leave. She had gotten the kittens' leather balls to roll around from the cobbler and had to find them because they roll the three balls everywhere. Once she was ready, she took the kittens and put on her cloak to go eat before bringing her horse up to get her baggage packed. After she ate, she turned in the key and said goodbye to Cyrus. She was headed to the city of Barróg (hug). The mountain was the divide between the Fairy and Pixie Kingdom. She was headed into the Pixie Kingdom.

Sarah was riding in the snow on a clear sunny day headed towards the mountain. She located a mountain pass trail going up the ascent. As she traveled she noticed two men coming up from behind. She kept an eye on them, just in case.

When she was halfway up the mountain she found a place to pull off to the side and eat lunch and let them go ahead of her. She stopped and backed her horse in a space behind a rock. She pulled out a cookie and was eating a bite of it. When the two men cast a freezing spell on her throwing a crystal at her. Sarah cast the unfreezing spell and then threw binding spells on them both.

She muttered, "I 'wish' these two men were not able to reverse the binding spells on themselves and they had to tell the truth." The men struggled.

Sarah asked, "What are you up to and why attack me?"

The first man was in a charcoal gray cowl hooded cape he said, "We are bounty hunters looking for a brown haired green eyed fae woman and pinch a human or two in the process."

Sarah pulled down her hood and said, "You're fools because I'm neither. I could tell your horse to walk off a cliff or leave you both bound and let you die here, but take your horses. Where were you going to sell the humans if you got them?"

The second man with a brown tricorne hat and brown wool cloak said, "To any major city auction house."

Sarah said, "I 'wish' for you both to be turned into naked humans with no magic and being sold at the nearest auction house." They screamed and everything they wore was left behind.

Sarah dismounted and collected all of their belongings and emptied all their pockets putting everything on her horse with their saddle bags and bags hanging on the saddle. She wished their clothes, tents, food, blankets to people who deserve them. Sarah tied the horses to trail her up to the city.

When she got into the city of Barróg, she found the nearest stable and asked the blacksmith if he wanted to buy the two horses. She sold them for twenty five gold. Sarah went looking for an inn and found one with a stable across the street from it. She boarded her horse and took everything after wishing her bags lighter mumbling. She went into the inn and rented a room for a week. Sarah locked the door and got the litter box ready. She fed the kittens.

She sat down after making the kittens dinner and looked at everything that was left of the bounty hunter's things. They had a large amount of gold on them. Sarah thought, no doubt about it, Jareth paid them well to hunt her down. She found two crystals and vanished them. They had two gold pocket watches, four big bags of gold, two coin purses, and two jewelry boxes with some expensive looking jewels in them. There were four jeweled daggers, two hunting knives, two swords, and one small bag of cut gemstones, mostly diamonds. Sarah counted the gold and it all came to 2345 gold including the purses. She dumped it all into the backdoor of her necklace making it 12,722 gold. She had four bags of jewelry to sell along with whatever was to be sold in the jewelry boxes. Sarah put two smaller hunting knives in her boots. She would sell the four daggers and the weapons to a blacksmith. She added the silver and copper to her coin purse. Sarah covered up the pile of jewelry on the bed. She put the kittens in her pouch, put on her cloak and gloves to go eat.

It was busy in the inn and she sat at the one seat available by the wall. The innkeeper said, "What do you want?" He was dressed in a black tunic and black leather pants. He looked about her age of twenty six with gray eyes and light blonde long hair, braided on the sides but pulled straight back into a ponytail. The innkeeper was very handsome.

Sarah said, "A meal and wine, please." She gave him a silver. He gave her the wine and change. He went back and brought her a chicken stew and hunk of homemade bread. Sarah ate. The kittens popped up and she discreetly fed them some gravy and chicken. She ordered another wine and went up to her room. She found the door wide open and pulled her gun and knife. Sarah whispered, "I 'wish' the man going through my belongings had his hands tied behind his back and couldn't be undone except by me."

The fae man struggled and Sarah walked in, closing the door and locking it. When the man heard the lock click, he started to panic. He said, "I'll give it all back to you and leave peacefully."

Sarah said, "Oh, you will leave peacefully. I'm going to give you one chance to tell me the truth. What were your plans?" The man said nothing. Sarah walked over to him and searched his body for everything he was carrying. She found her jewelry from the bed re-bagged and some pieces in his pockets. He had all the jewelry boxes including her own in bags.

Sarah said, "I 'wish' this man to tell me the truth."

He asked, "You have wish magic?"

Sarah said, "Shut up. What were your intentions in my room?"

The fae man said, "I was going to rob you completely because you have so much jewelry."

Sarah said, "Where are your belongings?".

He said, "In the next room."

Sarah said, "I 'wish' for this fae's belongings to all be in a pile in the middle of my floor." They appeared. Sarah started rounding up all her jewelry and putting things back in her bags. Once she was done, she started going through his things and took everything of value out of all of it and wished any food, blankets and tent was to go to someone who needed it. It vanished.

The man got angry and said spitefully, "What the hell did you do that for?"

Sarah said, "Shut up fool!" She took everything of value over to the bed and went through it all. He had quite a collection of eighteen pocket watches, ten jeweled daggers, seven bags of jewelry, and his own jewelry box of very expensive jewels. He also had seven hunting knives, three swords, seven bags of gold, three bags of silver, and his purse. She dumped 3,719 gold and 1643 silver into the back of her necklace.

She put fifteen gold in a small bag and stuffed it in his personal belongings bag and said, "I 'wish' this fae man had no magic and could never commit another crime again and sent to Sásta with this bag of personal belongings and his bag of clothes." The man, his clothes and the bag disappeared. Sarah sighed and said, "I 'wish' the room next door was open with the key on the made bed."

She started going through everything and making bags of a dozen items in each. She had many chains. She put together a bag of just chains, three bags of expensive jewelry, three bags of mid range jewelry. Sarah had twelve bags made up of mid range, expensive and chains mixed together. Sarah had eight magical pieces of jewelry. She cast spells to identify. Three rings of protection against magic, three transportation items, one protection against elemental, and one invisibility ring. The protection against magic ruby ring, the amethyst invisibility ring, the sapphire protection against elemental attacks ring, and a transportation bloodstone bracelet. She wore all of the rings and her emerald luck ring.

There were too many, four rings. She combined the protection against magic, elemental and the luck ring with a wish. She said, "I 'wish' these three magical rings of protection against magic, protection against elemental and luck were combined into one ring just as powerful." The rings disappeared and combined into an old looking triskelion symbol with each stone in each spiral on a gold and silver braided band that magically sized to any finger. Sarah wore the amethyst invisibility ring on her pinkie finger and the triskelion ring on her left middle finger. The bracelet was on her left wrist. It was small and thin enough not to interfere with anything. She kept most of the very attractive stone jewelry in her own jewelry box which was full.

Sarah was tired and was so glad the major cities had plumbing. She stripped, took a hot bath and relaxed while the kittens played with the little leather balls she got them around the room. They were so cute and little five weeks old babies.

—--day 21

The next morning Sarah woke and did her morning routine of the bathroom, dressing in her brown leather outfit with layers, fed the kittens and played with them until they pooped. She put on her belt and tied six bags on the belt with her sword, knife and purse under her waistcoat. She put the kittens in the pouch and donned her cloak and gloves. Sarah was ready to leave and go get breakfast. She wished that nobody could enter her room but herself until she removed her bags. No more thieves pilfering her stuff.

Sarah went down and sat at the counter. The handsome fae innkeeper asked, "What do you need?"

Sarah said, "Breakfast and tea, please? Do you have honey?" He looked at her oddly and nodded yes. He took her eight coppers and got her a tea with a small jar of honey. He brought her a plate of eggs, beans, mutton steak and biscuits. Sarah dove in. The kittens popped up. The innkeeper was surprised and smiled.

Sarah said, "I fed you already. You're gonna eat my food too?" The black kitten mewed louder. She patted his head and she put yolk on her finger and they both licked it all off. She then cut two tiny bits of steak and fed it to them. As soon as they had their taste, they went back inside the pouch.

The innkeeper said, "My name is Hunter. Where are you from?"

Sarah said, "I am Haras and I am from very far away from here."

Hunter said, "I can tell by the way you talk. Where did you pick up your kits?"

Sarah said, "They were chasing a branch I was dragging up to my fire in the snow one night. Maybe they wanted a ride on it or to catch it. They were about four weeks old. I scooped them up and got a fur lined pouch in the next town to carry them in."

Hunter leaned down to see inside her hood and said, "You are a woman, right? No man would care for kittens while traveling. They would leave them there to die or give them away in the next town."

Sarah looked up at him and said, "Please, don't tell anyone."

He gasped at how beautiful her face was with such blue eyes that looked right through you. He said, "Do not worry I would not do that. Do me a favor and do not just walk out on me like the guy next to you did. All his stuff and himself left in the night. I did not see him leaving. Guess I'm lucky he left the key at least."

Sarah said, "I won't do that. Do you know of a few jewelers around?" He gave her directions to three.
