Kiritsugu's Trilogy: Kiritsugu Emiya or Kiritsugu Ringo
Disclaimers I don't own the Fate series please support any to all official releases.
It was an outrage, he finally found the location of the bastard child of Uther, and had sent in some of his best men to hunt down and kill them, and what does he have to show for it.
Yes the fort of Lord Ector along with said lord and his son are now dead, but so were a great number of his own men, with a bunch of them being killed by being riddled with holes of an unknown origan.
No this was not sitting well with Lord Gorlois as he once more lost his chance to settle his grudge with the old king, and finally usurp the thrown for himself.
"Damn it, I need to blow some steam" stated Lord Gorlois as he got up from his throne and proceeded to ride outside the halls of his fort to not only do some game hunting, but pay a special somebody a visit.
Deep within the woods, we see a small shabby looking house as Lord Gorlois hitched his horse outside before entering the building.
"Morgana, I demand to see!" stated Lord Gorlois as he found the witch boiling herself some tea to go with her biscuits.
"Lord Gorlois, a pleasure to meet you, please why don't you join me for some tea" said Morgana, "I didn't come here for tea, I came here on a matter of business" said Lord Gorlois.
"And pray tell what is it that you require from me" asked Morgana innocently, "You told me that the only way for I or anyone to officially usurp the king and be hailed as one is if all members of the Pendragon family were killed and brought to you" said Lord Gorlois.
"I see, well tell me do you have the child outside with you, or is this where you sweep me off my feet on your noble steed" asked Morgana, "Cease your sly and coy demeanor this instant, I came here because once more the child has escaped us once more" said Lord Gorlois as he slammed his fist on the table.
"And pray tell do you want me to do about it" asked Morgana, "Don't play the fool, everyone knows that you're a witch with great power, so surely you have a means to locate her, so unless you want me to send my men down here and have you be publicly burnt at the stake, I say it's high time you start pulling your weight for the future king" said Lord Gorlois as he was increasingly getting mad with her.
Remaining calm, Morgana continued to pour herself a cup of tea before setting the kettle down.
"Very well my future liege, though in return for my assistance with this, I expect you to keep my well being safe, and any of my desires sated" said Morgana as she took a sip of her tea.
"I'll have room for you in my future castle, how does that sound" said Lord Gorlois, "Sounds divine, now let's see, where did I put that thing" said Morgana as she went to check her cupboards and discovered a crystal ball.
"Ah, here we go, just give me a minute to set this up my liege and before long we shall discover the location of the orphaned child of King Uther" said Morgana as she lit a few candles and popped the cap open to a potion as she began to channel her mana into the crystal ball.
"Hmm, how odd" said Morgana, "What, what is it? Why is it that I'm seeing absolutely nothing?" demanded Lord Gorlois as he's witness Morgana doing this spell before when hunting and attempting to usurp the Pendragon family the first time around.
"I don't know, it's as if someone is interfering my locator spell" said Morgana, "Who could do something like that other than that exiled wizard Merlin" said Lord Gorlois.
"I don't know, I mean it could be that old goat Merlin for all we know, it could be someone else" said Morgana as she was genuinely trying her hardest to locate Artoria.
Having enough of this, Lord Gorlois stood from his chair and glared down at Morgana.
"I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time, I'll be back in a few days and I better hear some results witch" said Lord Gorlois as he took the cup of tea Morgana had offered him earlier before slamming it down in one chug.
"But be warned when I return, I'll do so with my men in toe, ready to punish you" said lord Gorlois as he set the cup down before leaving Morgana's abode.
"I assure you my liege, I shall not rest on this matter" said Morgana with a smile and wave until Lord Gorlois finally left as she began to frown.
"Pompous old fool, if by some oddity you do manage to capture and kill this child, I assure you that you'll be ruling all of England, but as my puppet" said Morgana with venom as she picked up the cup Lord Gorlois had consumed.
Smiling to herself that the man didn't notice the trace of the potion she slipped into his drink, she was satisfying knowing that she was free to manipulate the essence of his soul at any given time no matter when.
"But seriously, who is hiding you from my sights" said Morgana as she looked at her crystal ball again and got nothing but fog itself for the most part.
Sure she could now see a trace of Artoria, but Morgana couldn't see her entirely or where she was at.
Whoever she was with, the person was wise to mask their presence invisible.
Huffing in annoyance, Morgana would attempt to locate her later on as it was also in her benefit if Artoria died as well, no matter how long it takes.
5 Years Later
In the time since Kiritsugu had came to rescue Artoria, they've been thick as thieves for the most part, with Artoria rarely leaving out of his sight as Kiritsugu made a living as both a full time farmer and a part time alchemist.
Sure he could have used some of his mage craft to turn lead into gold, that he knew how to do, but to him it made more sense to turn gold into lead as he needed to be ready for when danger were to strike him or Artoria.
Speaking of, the little girl whom he saved all those years ago wasn't little, but was now a young tween on her way to becoming a teen, and while she was dressed as a boy to blend in easily, she was still forbidden from picking up the sword for now.
Her picking up a gun was different question, since Kiritsugu found it fitting that she learned to use it in case something happened, since he discovered that the ammo used for his Thompson were still laced with his rib bone, meaning they were ready to counter anyone who dared use magic on them.
Otherwise it made more sense to go hunting with the weapons and knowledge he had, as evident now that Kiritsugu and Artoria were in the sticks hunting deer.
"Art, come here" whispered Kiritsugu as Artoria knelt by Kiritsugu's side, "What is it" asked Artoria.
"I see a deer about a hundred yards from here" said Kiritsugu as he handed the Contender into Artoria's hands, with the weapon being modified with a longer barrel, a scope, and using regular standard ammo.
"You think you got this" asked Kiritsugu, "I got it" Artoria said confidently as she looked down the scope and proceeded to take aim before firing the weapon, getting a clean kill for their actions today.
"Atta girl" said Kiritsugu with a smile as the pair went to approach their dinner that day.
"Tonight we're having game stew" said Kiritsugu as he bent down to carry the deer they bagged over their shoulders.
"Is it alright if I can carry and sell this pelt to Mr. Bell once we're done cleaning it" asked Artoria, "Sure thing, just promise me that on your way back you swing by over Mr. Williams, I think he should have what I ordered ready" said Kiritsugu.
"Sure thing dad" said Artoria with a smile as the pair finally made it back to their horses.
After a short ride to their quaint little cottage, Kiritsugu saw that someone had posted a notice out on their front door.
"What's it say" asked Artoria, "Damn it, they plan to raise the taxes on us again" jeered Kiritsugu as they were expected to pay 2 shillings and 9 pence by this Friday.
"It' could be worse, remember how that one town outside Nottingham raised it's taxes to 3 shillings and 5 pence about every other week" said Artoria.
"Sigh, I swear I don't get what's the point of raising taxes in this joke of a kingdom" said Kiritsugu as they finally went inside, where Kiritsugu began to expertly clean the deer of it's pelt and then some.
"All right Art, take this into town, and don't forget about checking on Mr. Williams before coming back" said Kiritsugu, "All right dad, I'll be back soon" said Artoria as she stepped out the cottage and left Kiritsugu alone with his thoughts.
He didn't know when he felt that Artoria calling him dad was no longer an act, but rather a title he felt he was burdened to carry on once more as he let out a sigh.
Get over it Kiritsugu, this is no different then when Shirou called you dad, thought Kiritsugu as he didn't mind it then as it helped him cope with his failure of being a father to Illiya, but this felt different with Artoria.
Hell it still feel weird for him to refer to her as Art and not Saber, even though they were one of the same and yet they weren't.
The Artoria he had referred to as Saber had nothing but utter sadness and betrayal in her eyes, and he had no doubt that she probably has nothing but hatred for Kiritsugu, that Artoria he actually felt comfortable with since he was in control of her at that time.
But the Artoria whom he called Art has nothing but high regard and probably idolized him as much as Shirou did when he was alive in his life, all be cause he was cursed to remain by her side.
This was evident over the years since whenever Artoria felt distressed or scared he can feel and sense her, like the few nights she had crying in her sleep after the loss of her cousin, no matter how far he distance himself, he'd be aware of her suffering and had no choice but to be by her side, that much he had no qualms with.
What he had qualms with was whenever Artoria asserted herself whenever Kiritsugu suggested on taking up less chivalrous actions, like say robbing a stage coach of a noble or even taking on an assassination mission, she would not only tell him no, but he had no choice but abide by her command.
He tested this a few times by doing some petty acts of crime in front of her to prove this theory, and well to say he was disgruntled by this was an understatement to the former magus killer.
Speaking of, there was only one positive benefit to his predicament, and that was him not aging and rarely falling ill, as this was probably the last blessing he'll receive.
As for why he's here and to what purpose he was meant to serve still baffled him, but if his current means to end involved raising Artoria, he'll do so his way.
"Better get this dinner cooking already" said Kiritsugu as he began to cut the venison into little chunks as he already had the onions and carrot prepared before their departure.
With Artoria
After selling the deer pelt, Artoria went to retrieve the item from Mr. Williams the towns blacksmith as he was working on a little project kept under tight lips for Kiritsugu.
"Art, it's good to see you kid" said Mr. Williams as he was outside his shop cooling some nails in a barrel.
"Hello Mr. Williams, my dad sent me to check if the item he requested was ready" asked Art, "Yeah, I've got it ready right here" said Mr. Williams as he quickly went inside to retrieve the device.
"Behold, Kiritsugu's doohickey and thingamabob" said Mr. Williams as he was handing Artoria a compact shell casing machine, and the word compact was used loosely since the device was large and cumbersome at a foot and a half, and weighed a total weight of 5lbs, but it was exactly what Kiritsugu requested.
"You know I'd hate to ask behind my clients back, but Art you have any idea what this is" asked Mr. Williams, "Not entirely no" said Artoria.
"Well that's fine I guess, you be sure to send your father my regards then" said Mr. Williams, "Will do and thanks again for your hard work said" said Artoria as she was securing the device onto her horse.
Before heading out, Artoria notice a small crowd gathering outside the town bulletin board, and feeling curious she decided to inspect it.
Squeezing through the crowd, Artoria saw something the peaked her eyes as there was a recruitment flyer to anyone and everyone who was interested in joining up and wanting to train as a knight.
As everyone mumbled over the possibility of taking up arms to become a squire for the land with benefits to someday of being a knight or even a paladin, this very news and talk got Artoria excited as she took the flyer off the board before going to mount her horse.
Getting back home at a brisk pace, Artoria could nearly hold her excitement when she came inside the cottage she and Kiritsugu shared slamming the door open.
"Where's the Art" asked Kiritsugu as he nearly jumped from his skin, "Dad you never guess what I saw posted on the towns bulletin" said Artoria as she showed the flyer to Kiritsugu.
Taking the sheet of paper, Kiritsugu scanned it thoroughly as his face slowly dropped.
Setting the sheet of paper aside, Kiritsugu continued to prepare for their dinner as Artoria stood patiently to hear his input.
"I'm already at the right age to start my training to become a squire and in time I'll become a knight fighting for my lord and protecting the people when the time of action come" said Artoria.
"Art, we've been over this, and I think it's for your best interest as much as in mine that we continue to live a humble life, it's safer and it keeps you and I out of danger" said Kiritsugu.
"But dad, we haven't had any dangers from anyone since our first encounter, and while I have nothing against living a humble life, I still want to at least try and achieve my dream" said Artoria.
"Seriously we've been over this before, besides there are other professions that garner not only respect but also money, like an apothecary, huntsmen, or woodsmen even" said Kiritsugu.
"But this is what I want, this is what I've been dreaming of since as far as I can remember" said Artoria as she began to lower her head down.
"Sigh, listen even if I were to consent and allow this, I don't think you'd be allowed to join and a lot of the fact has to do with you being born a female" said Kiritsugu.
"I can hide my sex for the time being, no one will have to know that or my real name is for the time being" said Artoria, "Yeah, but for how long" asked Kiritsugu as he looked back and remembered the Saber from before and knowing how these 2 were one in the same, Kiritsugu no doubt knew that Artoria will grow up to be a beautiful woman any year now.
"Anyways did Mr. Williams had my order ready" asked Kiritsugu, "Yeah, he did, I've got it outside" said Artoria.
"Mind bringing it in, I'm still in the midst of making dinner" said Kiritsugu as Artoria nodded before stepping out to get Kiritsugu's item.
Feeling her pain do to the command seal being cursed on him, Kiritsugu knew the feeling Artoria was going through, no matter how hard he tried to block the feeling.
But still he think it was for the best that Artoria grew up to live a simple and happy life and not one with heartache and regret, and it wasn't because they were later butting heads with each other during the final days of the Holy Grail War, but because he never wanted to see her giving him that look.
He's still haunted by the utter look of betrayal Saber gave him when he denied her wish of taking the Holy Grail to grant her wish, even though Kiritsugu's reason was of greater merit.
Looking back at it now and his time raising Shirou and Artoria, Kiritsugu knew that he's situation and relationship with Saber might have been better if he had chosen to talk with her about his discovery of how the Holy Grail was really a super weapon greater than the atomic bomb instead of leaving her out the dark.
And yet he's aware of the irony to his current predicament now, but his situation was different then as to the now since he can't go up to Artoria and say 'In the far future, you not only become king, but also become my servant in the Holy Grail War where we suffered from communication and trust issues since day one, and now I'm back here in the past for unknown reasons cause of a future connection'.
Yes Artoria has not only seen Kiritsugu use mage craft and has dabbled in it a little herself, but still what he was saying was so far fetched and mad, it be like going to the middle of town and tell these flat earthers that the planet was actually round.
So coming to the conclusion that he was instead of raising her to seek out and live out her destiny, he was better off tempting fate and raising her to live a life without conflict of drama, not caring if this may spill disaster for the future, since in Kiritsugu's eyes his future is filled with heartbreak and depression.
And well he felt like someone's life got ruined because of his direct or indirect involvement, like his wife, his daughter, his son, his master, his first friend, his partner and his servant.
So really he was doing this as a means to redeem his past even though he'll admit to have doubts about it at time.
The Next Day
When day break rose, Kiritsugu was barely waking up as he spent all of last night and most likely of today manufacturing bullets.
While a part of him was a bit skeptical once the final product was made, he was confident of crafting a steady supply of ammo, he had the components needed to resupply the ammo he has spent since arriving to this medieval hell hole.
"Mm, Art you're in charge of working the garden today" mumbled Kiritsugu as he got no response from the little lady.
"Art?" asked Kiritsugu before he heard the front door open, "Morning dad, you finally awake" asked Artoria.
"Yeah, where were you" asked Kiritsugu, "I was outside tending to our crops, while also looking for legitimate work in town" said Artoria.
"Got anything" asked Kiritsugu, "Funny how you should ask, but I believe I promised to spend some days out of the week to help a new family that just moved in and look after their children, while their parents settle in and look for work" said Artoria as their was a bit of a hitch to not only her voice but body movement.
Not being known to lie, Kiritsugu would normally inquire more, however if their was a good reason to it, Kiritsugu was going to play along since as much as Artoria has been trying to make him live an honest life, he's been trying to teach her to live a dishonest life.
"Ok, just don't work to hard now" said Kiritsugu, "Great, anyways here's the vegetables I've procured, I've got to get back to town so I can start helping them" said Artoria.
Waving Artoria off, Kiritsugu began to brew himself a cup of tea as he grumbled over being born in a time century where coffee wasn't discovered yet, at least for another few centuries, while also thinking as to her reason to lie.
Taking an apprenticeship was something she wouldn't lie about, even if the job involved going around town to shovel up cow shit off the street.
If she broke something she would have definitely had came forward and taken responsibility for her actions.
No the only reason she would lie about anything would her to start her training as a knight, but no, Kiritsugu knew for sure she wouldn't dare go behind his back on the matter no matter what.
Stumped as to what she's hiding from him, Kiritsugu gulped down his tea before going back to his spot and started building him a surplus of ammo for when they go hunting or have to go into hiding again.
With Artoria
She can't believe she lied to Kiritsugu like that, she can't believe that she was going behind his back, but here she us rushing back into town with adrenaline in her town, largely over the guilt and shame of getting caught, but lowkey it was thrilling.
But ignoring that little voice in her heart, Artoria was finally back in town as she stood next to boys around her age as they were all eagerly excited to start their apprentice ship as official squires to their lordships town.
"Art, you're late son" said one of the knights, "Pardon me sir, I had to rush back and informed my father whilst finishing my chores" said Artoria with a bow.
"I see, but regardless I need you to go and give me 4 laps around the moat, once you're done comeback and we'll get you properly uniformed" said the knight, "Sir" said Artoria as she went about to take her punishment to the chin, but that didn't bother her.
No if anything she was excited to finally start her training in becoming a knight, and she will work her hardest to become the best of the best as she was destined to be.
Weeks later
Since Artoria started her training as a squire, Kiritsugu was left to his own devices as he didn't mind being alone and assumed that Artoria was just working hard to help a new family.
And yet he notice things about Artoria, like how she'd leave first thing in the morning and coming back during dusk almost every day, she came home with a full belly which was unusual for the little glutton, and the fact that she had a few bruises across her body as if someone was beating her with a stick.
But he chose not to press on because he utterly wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was helping people and not secretly training to be a knight.
"Dad…" said Artoria hesitantly, "Yes" said Kiritsugu, "Tomorrow they're going to have an exhibition match in town during the festival where the knights will be jousting for everyone's amusement, and I was wondering if it would be alright I could attend to watch".
"I'll tell you what, we'll both go, it's been a while since we got to relax and I figured this is the least I can do to reward you for working hard" said Kiritsugu.
"Oh no, that won't be necessary" said Artoria in a fluster, "Nonsense, this is the least I can do for you. Anyways we should get some rest kid, I'll see you in the morning. Good night" said Kiritsugu.
"G-goodnight" said Artoria as she began to grimace over the likelihood that by the end of tomorrow Kiritsugu will surely know of her big secret.
However instead of worrying about it, she thought instead to think positively as tomorrow might be her only chance to show Kiritsugu her skills and that maybe he'll conceded to letting her become a knight.
The Next Day
It was your standard medieval festival alright, while there was a handful of stalls and vendors around town, they were mainly overshadowed by today's festival and it's main events, such as an archery contest where everyone was welcomed to participated, a talent show, and more excitingly todays jousting tournament.
Picking a good spot for him and Artoria to witness the action, it seemed everyone was cheering for their favorite knight in participation, all but Artoria.
"Art, what's wrong? You should be cheering, after all you like knights don't you" said Kiritsugu, "Right" said Artoria as she began to scream along with the crowd to play the part, but not for long.
"Art, there you are, come with us, there's a bit of a problem" said a boy around Artoria's age, "What's wrong" asked Artoria, "it's sir Hark Sil, I think he's sick".
"Art, is everything good" asked Kiritsugu calmly as his worries seemed to blossom as he looked at Artoria that this boy and this sir Hark has nothing to do with knights, but in her eyes he already found the answer before she could explain herself.
"Father, please excuse me" said Artoria as she followed her fellow squire back to the stables as they all stood around their fellow squires and the doctor that took care of sir Hark.
"I'm sorry to inform you, but it seems that sir Hark has came down with a case of the mumps" said the doctor, "But doctor isn't their anything that can be done" asked Artoria.
"Not immediately, I suggest that he be quarantined from the others, be given plenty of bed rest, and in a few days I shall return to start his leech and bloodletting therapy, I shall leave the responsibility how you want to settle his match in your capable hands" said the doctor as he walked out the stables.
"What should we do now Art" asked a fellow squire since Artoria was appointed as Hark Sil head squire upon his official knighting just last week.
While the responsible and dignifying thing to do was to go and tell the knight Hark was suppose to do was that they had to forfeit before going back to Kiritsugu and apologize for her actions and suffer the consequences from them.
However this was her one chance to prove herself as she will fight in sir Hark's place for not only his honor, but for the honor for the lord of this land, but ultimately to impress Kiritsugu.
"Fetch me a helm and armor, I shall be jousting in sir Hark's stead" said Artoria as her fellow squires were shock to hear this before they finally started moving.
"Art, you sure you want to do this" asked a squire, "Yes I do, this isn't a fight for me, it's for sir Hark as he has a duty to entertain the crowd as ordered by the lord. That and my father is out in the crowds as we speak" said Artoria.
"Now get moving our match will begin soon" said Artoria, "Yes sir" said the squire as Artoria was fully fitted in armor before she mounted on a horse as she was given a sword to defend herself, a shield, and most importantly a jousting staff.
Once she was fully dolled up, Artoria was striding into the field as many were cheering for her as she kindly waved to the crowd.
Trying to find Kiritsugu, the man had almost disappeared as Kiritsugu tried to search him.
Putting that aside her focus came towards her apposing knight as both prepared to charge each other.
Kicking her heels into her horse, Artoria let out a fierce battle cry as she used the advantage of her young stature to easily duck the attack of her fellow knight as she plunged her joust through the man's shield with enough force that it knocked the knight off his horse and out for the count.
"The winner of this match is Art Smith" said the announcer as the crowd, her fellow squires, and her would be opponents cheered for her.
Dad, I hope you're seeing this, thought Artoria as she tried looking for her father in the crowd, but she still couldn't spot him out, but Kiritsugu could definitely see her, and what he saw was disappointment as he began to prepare to end this soon enough.
What came next was a series of victories similar to Artoria's first win, before it came rumbling down to her last opponent.
"The final joust will be pitted against the captain of our very lord, Paladin Joshua Marston, and his opponent, who up until now fought for the newly knighted Hark Sil, Squire Art Smith" said the announcer as the crowd were ecstatic to see how this final duel was going to end.
Riding up onto the field with pride in her heart and a smile on her face, Artoria acknowledged the crowd with a bow as she patiently waited for the arrival of her captain to present himself.
However their was a bit of a technical issue as someone ran up and whispered something into the announcers ear.
"There's been a bit of a change to our planned schedule, fighting instead of paladin Joshua Marston will be a dear associate of his, you may not know him by any name, for he is the man with no name, no name other than by his title the Garnet Knight" said the announcer as Artoria's opponent finally strode onto the field.
Wearing a full set of red plated metal armor with his black stallion being dressed in a layer of black metal armor like nothing anyone has ever seen, this Garnet Knight carried no shield or joust, but rather 2 foot artillery swords behind his back that was draped over by his long black cape.
Getting into their place, Artoria had a bad feeling about her opponent as she prepared herself for their final duel.
Giving the signal to finally charge, Artoria was almost hesitant to charge her opponent as he wasn't properly equipped to joust as her opponent began to charge towards her.
Not wanting to back down now, Artoria raised her joust ready to knock this mysterious fighter out, but the Garnet Knight surprised her when he took out one of his short swords and proceeded to chop up her joust into pieces before he got close enough to her when he used the handle of his sword to knock her off his horse, but Artoria raised her shield in time to block the attack, however both were awkward in their movements and fell off their sword.
Getting up to their feet, the reminder of their duel shall be done on foot and with their swords.
No words exchanged as they clashed their blades against one another as Artoria impressed the crowd that in her short time as a squire she had become very proficient with a sword as she was going toe to toe with a much more reputable and skilled opponent even if his means of weapons and tactics were rather unorthodox.
Eventually the Garnet Knight had managed to lock Artoria in place as she was unable to free herself or her shield from the man's grasp.
"Tell me, you're name wouldn't happen to be Art Legend now is it" asked the Garnet Knight, "No, my name is Art Smith" said Artoria as she was not expected to be asked such a random question in their midst of their duel.
"Liar" said the Garnet Knight as he pulled Artoria from her shield before using the base of her sword to knock her helmet off.
Feeling a bit daze, Artoria was fine as she felt herself in case their was any damaged she was suffering from without knowing do to her body running on adrenaline as her opponent continued to look down on her.
"No… you're not her. You're not Art Legend, yet you're similar to her in many ways" said the Garnet Knight.
Feeling frustrated and confused about their conversation, Artoria choose to instead take her sword and step up her game as she continued to duel her opponent with her second wind.
Unprepared for Artoria's relenting assault, the Garnet Knight eventually lost hold to one of his swords as Artoria decided to end this by bringing her sword down on the man.
Lifting his only other sword up just in time, the Garnet Knight spared himself from serios injury of being bisected in half as he managed to change the blades trajectory to instead cut a piece of his helmet off, revealing but a portion of his face to her.
While Artoria couldn't see his mouth or anything, she did see how this man had long red hair and brown eyes as he lost a piece of his scalp in their ensuing duel.
"Stand down" insisted Artoria as she looked deep into her opponents eye as he did her.
"Very well. I am satisfied child" said the Garnet Knight as he got up and offered his hand to Artoria.
"You did a good job out their kid, I'm certain you'll be an excellent knight someday" said the Garnet Knight, "Thank you, and I do apologize for causing such an injury on you" said Artoria.
"Don't be, it'll heal just fine" said the Garnet Knight as his injuries did proceeded to heal almost instantaneously.
"And sorry for accusing you of someone else, you and her share a lot of the interests and personality, ok she's a bit more rebellious, but she's what I call a rebel with a heart" said the Garnet Knight.
"I see, well all is forgiven" said Artoria as it was all water under the bridge to her.
"Ok, well I'm off to continue searching for her, but I'm going to say this now out of respect even though this is me coming way early to the party. Hail to the future King Art" said the Garnet Knight as he whistled for his horse to come to him, before mounting on his nag and riding off.
Once the man was out of sight, Artoria was relishing in the praise she deserved after everything she's done today.
Gathering up to a podium amidst the winners of todays other events, they were all presented medals for their efforts, well almost all of them.
"Art Smith, today you have showed us a level of chivalry I haven't seen in a long time, for you came in to fight for the honor and name of your knight henceforth why I won't be presenting you with the medal" said paladin Marston.
"I understand sir" Artoria said humbly, "However, in recognition for your bravery, displaying honor both in and out of combat, along with pride to your actions, I would like to honor you with the title of knight" said Paladin Marston.
"Sir" said Artoria in disbelief as she was not expecting this from her captain, if anything a boon at most, but this was pretty much her giving her, her dream.
"I know it's a lot to take in, but I wouldn't want be handing this title to you if their wasn't a great merit, so tell me squire, will you accept the honor and responsibilities that comes to being a knight" asked Paladin Marston.
Oh how Artoria wanted to jump up and shout yes from the top of her lungs, but before she could say anything, she finally caught sight of Kiritsugu as he began to approach her.
"Hold on, I have objections to this" said Kiritsugu, "Dad!" exclaimed Artoria as she was so caught up in the moment she completely forgot about Kiritsugu.
"Excuse me citizen, but you're insubordination is ruining the moment of our future knight" said Paladin Marston, "Yeah, that's not going to happen, in fact Art you're hereby done playing knight" said Kiritsugu.
"But dad, didn't you see me out there, didn't you hear, I've got a chance to finally become a knight" said Art, "Dad!? You mean to tell me this gentlemen is your father" asked Paladin Marston.
"That's right, and I'd appreciate it if you but out of my family business while I deal with this brat" said Kiritsugu, "Mr. Smith, please spare me a minute of your time and listen to me, I have no idea what complications are afflicting your personal life or that of Sir Art, but I assure you that him becoming a knight is of a great benefit to not only him, but also for you, if you want we can discuss this matter elsewhere and I can explain to you some of the benefits there are to offer once he's been properly knighted" said Paladin Marston.
"Really, you're more than willing to knight my kid after they went behind my back and signed up when I forbid it" asked Kiritsugu as knights did have a code of honor to uphold.
"I'm certain even you can forgive and overlook such a blemish to their honor" said Paladin Marston, "Ok, then would you still be willing to knight her even if I told you right now that my son, is in reality my daughter" said Kiritsugu.
"Wait, what are you saying" asked Paladin Marston, "Kiritsugu, please don't!" cried Artoria as she felt she was being betrayed by the man whom she trusted.
"You heard me everyone, my son whom you all came to affectionately call Art is not a boy, but rather a girl, my daughter" said Kiritsugu.
"So tell me, are you willing to knight my kid now that you know she's a girl" asked Kiritsugu as Paladin Marston was at a loss of words before he slowly backed away.
Turning his attention towards Artoria, Kiritsugu saw that same look that had originally haunted him all those years, when he had ordered Artoria to destroy the Holy Grail without her letting her make her wish.
"Kiri-" said Artoria before she was hit on the side of the head with someone's plum pudding.
Instantly the crowd that once cheered and praised her name were now spewing insults and food at her for deceit upon them.
Unable to take the jeers or the betrayal, Artoria stormed off the platforms trying to avoid the crowds jeers and rotten vegetables as she ran back home in tears as Kiritsugu stayed behind to clean up the mess he had made.
Later
Their reputation in this town was down the crapper, and word will probably spread to the next 2 towns over, meaning the only way for either of them to live in peace was to once again move.
Their things had always been packed and set for them to go on the move, Kiritsugu was left to his own device as Artoria was left alone to cry in her bed.
"Art, come on, I've got dinner ready for us" said Kiritsugu as he heated them an improvised meat stew with vegetables, "I'm not hungry" stated Artoria.
"Come on, you got to eat, we'll be leaving this place in the next few hours, and it'll be a while before we get to eat another hot meal in our daily lives" said Kiritsugu.
"Why!?" demanded Artoria as she shot up from her bed with her eyes all ready and puffy.
"Why do we have to leave, why do we got to constantly be on the move, and just why did you choose to ruin my chances on becoming a knight" cried Artoria, "I told you already, it's complicated" said Kiritsugu.
"I don't care if it's complicated, I don't care if this would put our lives in danger, I just want to be knight so I can…" said Artoria, "So you can what, avenge your cousin and become the king" said Kiritsugu.
"So I can defend and protect you, you fool!" stated Artoria as this was not the answer Kiritsugu was expecting to hear.
"I… I genuinely see and treat you as the only family member I have at this point, after all the things you have done and provided for me, all this burden you carry on your back, I only want to repay it all tenfold. And I know you think that me choosing to live a life outside of knight might be the safest and will make me happy, but it's not and it won't, because during my time with you, I've learned that taking up a carrier in life isn't something that should be inherited and be honored by your family, but rather a means to an end as you say, and for me nothing sounds better to a means to an end than being a knight who can afford to house us better and never have to worry about being on the run, and should our enemies in the past return, we shall be ready for them, because I got stronger from my dedication and training as a knight, not as a man who makes medicine from herbs, or chopping wood, or by hunting every day. And I wanted to do this for not only us, but for you" said Artoria as she broke down in tears as she finally got to spill her guts out to this cold as stone man who was all she got even if she knows that her emotions will be brushed aside.
As much as Kiritsugu would like to brush these feelings aside, he can't as he was cursed to share Artoria's feelings, and what he felt from her was love, genuine love for someone else, only for that loved to get abused and be broken before you could do or say anything about it.
So you can imagine the feeling of regret and guilt Kiritsugu was feeling right now as he was reminded of these feelings once more in his life as he looked down on Artoria with sympathy.
"Art, I'm sorry I didn't know" said Kiritsugu apologetically, but before he could continue he heard a knock on his door, peaking outside his window, he saw that standing outside their cottage was Paladin Marston out of his armor.
"Art stay out of sight" ordered Kiritsugu as he went to answer the door with his Contender ready at the back.
"Paladin" greeted Kiritsugu "Mr. Smith, if that's even your real name, I apologize to disturb you at this hour, however I have been given orders by my lord to come and retrieve both you and your daughter" said Paladin Marston.
"And if I were to refuse" asked Kiritsugu, "Trust me, it's your best interest that you and Art, or whatever her real name is, come with me back to my lords castle" said Paladin Marston.
Peaking from her hiding place to not only hear, but see the commotion, Artoria gasped at the sight of Kiritsugu slowly cocking back his Contender.
"Kiritsugu don't!" exclaimed Artoria as she ran up and stop Kiritsugu from executing Paladin Marston, "Art, I told you to hide" chided Kiritsugu.
"Please don't kill him for me, it's not his fault that I'm no longer accepted to be a knight" said Artoria as she managed to wrestle Kiritsugu's weapon out of his hand.
"Art, it's good to see you son- er I mean girl" said Paladin Marston, "Paladin, I'm sorry for deceiving you and everyone, truly we have a genuine reason to hide my identity as a whole" said Artoria.
"I'm sure there is, though I'm not here to cast judgement, I'm only here to retrieve you both and bring you back to our lords castle, he actually request to make you audience" said Paladin Marston.
Hearing the way how Paladin Marston worded his words didn't bode well with Kiritsugu, and while he was ready to drop him and run, something tells him that he won't get that choice tonight.
"All right, lead the way, but know that I don't intend to meet your lord unarmed" warned Kiritsugu, "Very well, though really there is no need to your hostility or concern" said Paladin Marston as he lead them to a carriage that was waiting for them outside.
Time Skip
A good ride to the towns luxurious fort, which isn't saying much, and we see that both Kiritsugu and Artoria now stood before the lord of the township they were residing in, a Lord Mason Blood as you'd have it.
"Thank you both for arriving at this late hour, though my intuition says that this was the only way to have you both escorted here without a ruckus erupting" said Mason.
"Forgive my bluntness, but my daughter and I are in a hurry to skip town as you may have known why" said Kiritsugu, "Yes, in fact that's the very matter as to why I have you both here" said Mason.
"My captain to my own knights, Paladin Marston had confessed to me his feelings of regret and shame for his cowardice out today, and so after inquiring as to how he truly felt about your daughters skill as a knight, he pleaded to take the risk and have her join my ranks" said Mason.
"While we appreciate the gesture, unfortunately the damaged has already been done" said Kiritsugu as Artoria could only turn her head away so that she's not seen pouting over Kiritsugu's decision once more.
"Nonsense, so long as I remain as acting lord to these people, the people will obey my word as it is the law within my territorial laws, and my law states that any citizen caught insulting, much less caught attacking any of my knights with no valid reason shall be punished justly" said Mason.
"I see, so you intend to offer the title of knight to my daughter" said Kiritsugu with a grimace as he felt that there was no escape no chance to changing Artoria's fate for the better.
"Of course, after all she is the daughter of the late King Uther" said Mason as this shocked all those present in his chamber.
"How do you know of this" asked Artoria as Kiritsugu instinctively found himself ready to draw his Calico, but before he could start holding the lord at gun point, he was hit by a wave of sudden overwhelming calmness that left him pacified to violent actions.
"Let's just say an associate has been humbled enough to make an audience with me and has informed me of your birthright your highness" said Mason as coming from the side door was a man with white hair wearing a large white robe and carried a staff in his hand.
"I must say, I don't know if it's your guardian who's doing this or not, but you were an elusive child to locate" said the man, "Who are you" asked Artoria.
"Forgive me, my name is Merlin and I am regarded as the most powerful wizard to these lands, with only my self-proclaimed rival Morgana coming in second" said Merlin with a light hearted chuckle.
"Wait, so you're a wizard" asked Artoria in amazement, "Yes child, I was actually a dear associate of your father, oh the mischief we had leading up to your birth. Sigh, it's a shame of his most recent passing, but I guess in someway this is his plan in some mysterious way" said Merlin.
"What plan" asked Artoria, "Why what else my young king, for you to someday come and take back the title that rightfully belongs to you, after all that is your destiny, granted when I had originally foreseen our first encounter, I'd figure we do so with you on a small hunting expedition with your cousin and uncle, and not with this mysterious and dangerous stranger you've been associating with for a while now" said Merlin as all eyes shifted to Kiritsugu.
"I assure you, in spite of his grumpy and at times butt head like attitude, Kiritsugu is truly a nice guys who means well and wishes nothing more than to look out for my own well-being, in his own twisted bullying ways" said Artoria.
Damn it, this is not looking good, first she goes about playing knight behind my back, and now the fabled wizard Merlin shows himself, what's next her having to pull out the sword in the stone and meeting the lady of the lake, thought Kiritsugu as he began to hide his grimace with a stoic and calculating look.
"Please don't think about anything that may involve getting rid of me kind sir, I think we both know that's too late now" said Merlin with a knowing smile.
"Forgive me, but before I retire to my chambers, I want to address the final matters to this rather adventurous day we all had to share, Art, or whatever you name be, I shall see to it that before the end of the week you'll be properly knighted and have you continue you training with Paladin Marston directly, be warned we shall keep your true heritage a secret between the 5 of us present here, but I think we can all agree it's for the best, with that being said I think it's safe to safe that for the foreseeable future, you and your father be allowed to stay here until you're ready to move on, all of you have a good night and I'll see you in the morning" said Lord Mason.
"Right, in fact, Paladin would it be to much to ask if you showed you Artoria here to her bedroom, I shall send her guardian with her momentarily" said Merlin, "I'll be glad to, come with my Sir Art" said Paladin Marston as he started playing along to the groups necessary deceit.
"Well, well, well, now that we're both left alone to ourselves, would you kindly tell me how is it that you came about watching our future king stranger" asked Merlin, "I thought you were known for your abilities to see things centuries into the future" asked Kiritsugu as felt he was no longer pacified.
"Yes and know, I can see and tell you some significant events like the industrial revolution as it'll pollute this great country, the invention of the locomotive, Aeroplan, and automobile, how Japan's greatest world event of the world Olympics was cancelled due to an unseen global pandemic, and so forth, but I can't see into the lives and future of every single human being, I'm not a god you know" said Merlin.
"But to be fair, I do know enough about you now that we're properly acquainted Kiritsugu Emiya, husband to Irisviel von Einzbern, father to a blood daughter named Illya von Einzbern and his adoptive son Shirou Emiya, master both professionally and in the sheets Maiya Hisau, no worries I won't shame you, and also an unknown and yet a very close relationship to our young king from your time, not of her time when she pulls the sword from the stone, being crowned our true king of England, or as a member of her most loyal knights to her round table" said Merlin.
"So please tell me good sir, how is it that you know our king so well" asked Merlin as Kiritsugu was hesitant to talk about, but he figured that if he was ever going to have a chance to confess this burden and weight that he's been carrying, this was his one chance.
"Tell me oh wise wizard, have you ever heard of the Holy Grail War" asked Kiritsugu as this left a shocking impression on Merlin.
"I see, so that's how you'll come to know our great king, I'm… honestly I don't know what to say, honestly a part of me thought you actually came upon as her being another one of your children before hand or, entertain me now, as another wife or lover" said Merlin trying to make light of the situation.
"Right, not appropriate, but know that while I do know of the Holy Grail War, I don't know it's full details, so would you kindly inform as to what transpired during your short time together as master and servant" asked Merlin.
"I approached it like it was any other job at first, using Saber- er I mean Art as my main field enforcer and played the part of an accomplish to my wife being her fey master while I started doing my job as a mage killer, and start calculating my plan of victory of this years Holy Grail War. This of course didn't sit well with the Art that I knew then, much less the Art now, however I had a job to do and while most of my behind the scene actions went unnoticed, the ones that did go notice upset her and progressively our relationship has gotten more callous up until the very end. No that's a lie, the end was something else" said Kiritsugu.
"Mind elaborating if you don't mind me inquiring" asked Merlin as Kiritsugu took a deep breath as he mentally prepared himself.
"At the end of it all, me and Art did it, we won, we were the rightful champions to the Holy Grail, a device we thought was suppose to grant the wish of any one persons hopes and desires, including mass genocide" said Kiritsugu.
"When I've gotten wind of this, I had no choice but order Art, against her pleas of not wanting to destroy it for she had a wish of her own to fulfill, to destroy the Holy Grail on the spot" said Kiritsugu.
"Really the purpose of the Holy Grail was that of a weapon and our king had begged you not to destroy it is a bit far fetched" said Merlin, "Like I said, our relationship was callous and I only learned of this last minute without Art's knowledge, so forgive me for not having the time to sit down and communicate it with her, after all we were both preoccupied trying to destroy this accursed artifact from falling into the hands of a mad man and his equally mad servant, but still the damaged had been done, I lost the life of not only my most trusted assistant, but also my wife, I was to weak and beaten from the final showdown I couldn't rescue my daughter from that bastard Einzbern, and I mentally scared and took away the old life my son had rightfully had, and then there was Saber, that look of hatred and betrayal she had on her was justified to the point that if she had managed to survive that, I wouldn't have argued with her if she wanted to take my life right then and there" said Kiritsugu.
"But it never happened, you got to live a full life and died, and are blessed in taking care of our king" said Merlin with a comforting smile, "Please this is a curse for me. Don't get me wrong, I do genuinely care about Art, but every time I see her, I'm always reminded of Saber and how much I hurt her because it took me loosing everything to my old life once more, being left in a crippling frail state while trying to raise my traumatized son to realize the errors and mistakes to my past actions that I've afflicted upon her that I live my new life surviving one day at a time while being reminded of my guilt" said Kiritsugu.
"But you're at least trying to live a much more healthier and better relationship with the king this time around, are you not" asked Merlin, "I try my damnedest and hardest, but I'm honestly afraid to get close to her and someday slip out this very information I'm sharing with you" said Kiritsugu.
"And what do you fear about should she know the truth" asked Merlin, "What's there not to fear besides her plugging me with a sword and feeling ashamed to be associated with a monster who robbed her of her wish" said Kiritsugu.
"I wouldn't do or feel either one of those things" said Artoria as she surprised the duo when she was revealed to be standing by the door frame.
"Art!?" exclaimed Kiritsugu in fear as the little tween had began to run up and hug him tightly.
"I… I still don't understand a lot of the things of what you 2 were talking about, but what I understand now is that Kiritsugu you're trying to hard to do the right thing and are repenting for your past sins by taking care of me now. Well I say you're doing a good job, you saved me from getting killed, you taught me how to use the weapons you carry, and even though you are once again stopping me from my wish to become a knight, I understand now you did that out of fear of me being the 'Art', this 'Saber' you'll come to know in the future who'll come to hate you" said Artoria as she buried her head into Kiritsugu.
"But I don't hate you, I'll never hate you, hearing this doesn't change the fact that you Kiritsugu Emiya are not only my guardian or hero, but also the man whom I lovingly call dad, and I still will till the day I die" said Saber as she had hot tears streaming down her face.
Left stunned for a moment Kiritsugu needed a minute to take in what he heard as he gently shifted to return the gesture to Saber as he rested his head on Artoria.
"Thanks Art, you have no idea how much I needed to hear those words" said Kiritsugu as he held his once servant with care and warmth.
He may have wanted to prevent her from becoming a knight and king for his own selfish reasons, but knowing that he was forgiven for his past actions, Kiritsugu feels he can at least be a little more open in raising Artoria this time around.
Days Later
In the dead of the night we can see Morgana walking alongside a long dirt road, dressed as a gypsy woman as a means to disguise herself from her enemies, which has grown over the years.
She couldn't locate where Artoria or Kiritsugu was for many years, and even after getting Lord Gorlois to her side, that didn't stop people from wanting to commit and appropriately acted witch hunt.
For many years she's been on the road obsessively searching for Artoria and Kiritsugu as she was on the path of revenge for ruining her life.
Speaking of, she saw an empty roadside camp off the road with a warm fire and stew ready to eat.
Finding a glimmer of salvation, Morgana rushed to the camp ready to enjoy a warm night and some hot food to herself.
"I'm your elderberry" said Kiritsugu catching Morgana off guard as she turned to see the man had her at gun point with his Calico.
"Normally, I'd just kill you without giving away my position like that, but I've got questions for you that only you can answer" said Kiritsugu as he motioned himself to a much more comfortable spot for him and Morgana to chat.
"So let's get straight to introductions, my name is Kiritsugu Emiya" said Kiritsugu, "My name is Morgana La Fey, and I should warn you human that I am a powerful and dangerous faery whom you want to make an enemy out of" said Morgana.
"And I'm the most dangerous Magus Killer from my time and here in the past, but that's besides the point" said Kiritsugu as Morgana slowly ate her stew while eyeing Kiritsugu.
"So tell me, what's your beef with Art, what has she ever done to upset you" asked Kiritsugu, "Nothing really, I had a previous deal with a Lord Gorlois, the man wanted satisfaction against his king, Artoria's father, and I told him that if I aided him in not only killing the former king and his heir, so that he may take the crown for himself, I expect that returns the favor to me by living in the castle with all the benefits to my disposal, but the deal was busted thanks to your unforeseen intervention" said Morgana.
"So I've been told, it seems that Merlin wasn't able to locate me or Artoria either for many years either, he claimed the only reason he was able to find me was during the tournament when you sent someone to disturbed our cover scented presence, I'm curious to know as to who it was you sent to do the deed so I can thank him later" said Kiritsugu.
"Don't bother, the man who was Artoria's last opponent was a mere puppet who served as a necessary asset to my plans of tracking you down as he was on a mission searching for his own Art, his presence and interaction is what made it easy for me to finally track you both down" said Morgana.
"Who was he exactly then" asked Kiritsugu, "I'm not entirely sure, this man was your heroic heathen who was baptized and protected by the flames of hell from a distant time, and when I came about requesting his assistance, he was a regular shepherd of fire acting all self-righteous in refusing to share his name or past, which worked fine as this played to my plan of manipulating him into aiding me in my hunt" said Morgana.
"I see. Well if there's nothing to worry about, than I guess were done here" said Kiritsugu as she began to rain down a hail of bullets with his Calico but Morgana put up a protective barrier in time.
"Once I'm done with you, there'll be no one to stop me from taking Artoria and using her to act as the true ruler of England from the shadows" said Morgana as spiritual knives began to form around her, before lunging towards Kiritsugu.
Kiritsugu ever the calm tactician pulled out a new toy from under his sleeve as he tossed a percussion grenade in Morgana's general direction, leaving her completely dazed and confused.
Not wanting to take any chances, Kiritsugu put away his Calico and instead pulled out his Contender as he slowly approached Morgana.
Gently knocking her back with his leg, he planted his weight on her with just one foot as he aimed his Contender on her.
"I don't know if you can hear me yet, but I want you to see the man who'll take everything from you in your final moments on this world" said Kiritsugu as Morgana's vision slowly returned just so Kiritsugu can shoot her clean in the chest.
"What… did you…" choked Morgana as she looked down on the fatal wound she received, "Don't bother trying to use magic to heal you, my bullets used for this weapon were designed for the sole purpose of cancelling out and destroys a persons magic circuits so that even if you managed to survive, you'd be unable to use magic for the rest of your life, so considering where I shot you is an act of mercy, after all a magus unable to use magic is a life worst than death" said Kiritsugu as he holstered his weapons and took his foot off Morgana as she began to shake and convulse in pain and horror.
"Damn you… Kiritsugu Emiya…" coughed Morgana as she barely had enough strength to sit up.
"I curse you upon my final breath, may you never sever the bond you have with Artoria on that command seal that's now cursed upon your hand, for that'll be the day that her future and your fear will come true" said Morgana with one more cough, one more spittle of blood to come out her mouth before she finally died.
While he'd normally take a persons words of damnation towards him with a grain of salt, Kiritsugu felt a sense of foreboding dread from Morgana and would later inquire about what she said to Merlin later on.
For now he had his obligations as Artoria's guardian to see that she's not only keeping up with her training as a knight, since she now had his blessing, but also her studies on battle tactic's and on modern warfare, or future warfare from her point of view when it comes to the weapons he uses.
All of this because Kiritsugu accepted that he can't change Artoria's destiny entirely, he can guide her to a path not filled with heartache and regret as her time as Saber has mentioned, not helping the fact that the time she had to pull the sword from the stone was approaching and he'd be soon calling her King Artoria, but more on that next time.
Woo, finally got this chapter done and up to read, I wanted to get this posted sooner, but my luck was against me and I was sick in bed with a summer cold, though thankfully those days were cool enough for me to recover in peace without being a total piss baby about like how I normally am when I get a summer cold.
Otherwise just want to thank you guys for your support, I'll be working on the next chapter to this immediately now that I've got a lot of free time because I recently quit my job due to the company I was with wanting me to be gone, so I gave them what I want and I'm without a job for now, but still not the worst thing to happen to me.
So if you want to show me some sympathy please feel free to fave and follow, you're not obligated to, or leave me you guys thoughts in the review section I love reading your guys feed back as much as you guys enjoy reading my work.
But until next time, be safe, be good people, and please support your local fandom community.
Also last minute shoutout and PSA here, please don't support the use of AI Art, VA, or Writing, I know that for a lot of us, us the fans may not be talented in certain aspects, like I'm neither a talented artist cause I can't draw, my less write in print to save my life, much less do I normally cosplay, because one the costume and props are expensive and I'm self conscious about my body which is fine, since clearly I can write, you guys are reading this and possibly my other work from both accounts, on top of me being a published author who was nominated for the golden plume award to my light novel series 'How I Saved Satan's Daughter in Another World'. What isn't fine is using these AI services since it is not only insulting but damaging to the fandom Industry as this puts a potential risk in putting a lot of people out of business, and before that one guy comments saying that AI ain't all that perfect, something we're all aware of, that doesn't mean the risk and fear isn't there, and recently one of my favorite VA's Erica Lindbeck has been wrongfully cyber attacked by her fans and society as someone decided to create an AI voice using who else but hers, and it's done nothing but ruining her life since then, and if you don't know who she is, she's the voice of Modred in the English dub to one of the many Fate spinoffs, so please guys, if you or anyone you know were even considering to use AI voice for a little fan project whether you're using Erica's voice or any other VA voice for that matter please don't, that's how you ruin not only their career and lives, but seriously some important and influential memories be it from childhood, teenage, or well into your adult years, just please don't use AI voice, Art, or Writing, and this is exactly what I mean by supporting your local fandom communities. If you can't get your favorite media influencer to voice character in a project of yours, there's no harm in getting a buddy or a friend of a friend or someone you jest met from anime expo to do you favor, just like I'm sure we all got someone who's down to group cosplay, start a band and do cover songs to popular anime and videogames, and while it may be pricy to pay a mainstream artist to draw you fanart of some kind, I'm more than positive you can find someone with just as much talent even if it's not the same style, but probably is more affordable and who knows you might help them put their name out their and they will grow as an artist. And while I myself have said many times in the past that I don't take requests in writing fanfic's, including one shots, I am willing to sit down and plan out a template so you can use that to start writing your own work as a means to show my love and support to this cause.
This has been your Humble Narrator and official author Tobi Yaza. =3
