American Dragon Up! Season 01 Episode 08
01 We see that the Huntsgirl was on a roofop with the Huntsmaster who was currently sitting rather than standing and he'd had his staff in front of him leaning on it more than usual. They seemed to be.. talking maybe? whatever it was it looked like they were having a serious conversation about it. The Huntsmaster had seemed to have stopped and moved his hand to his chin rubbing his index finger across it as if he had been thinking about something in particular while the Huntsgirl had stood waiting for a reply.
02 "Hmm.. Very well, however you must do something in return." The Huntsmaster finally spoke breaking the silence that they'd been sitting in save for the city below and moved his staff making it glow and show a large creature of sorts then adding "You will bring me feathers from the Jersey Devil." The Huntsgirl then put her fist into her opened hand and bowed to the Huntsmaster saying "As you wish." and then gone to prepare for whatever it is they were talking about her doing.
03 We then cut to in front of Jake's house where he Trixie and Spud were chatting "Dudes, I can't believe Harrison and Den are missing this." Spud spoke up about the group being gone "It's not just them, Albedo and Danielle had to miss it too, sad. Oh well more spa for me and mom." Haley stated before giving a shrug as her and Jake's dad dropped some stuff onto the roof of the car. We see that their dad had been wearing some sort of uniform that was easily far too small on him with Jake calling "DAD! Go put on normal Clothes, Rose will be here any minute."
04 "Honey that outfit is three sizes too small on you, just because you can force yourself into it doesn't mean it fits, for Jake's sake, please?" Jake and Haley's mom Susan spoke which made Johnathan, the father of Jake and Haley, sigh and go into the building defeated going to change clothes. Rose had shown up not long after with her stuff also ready to go and they'd all gotten into the vehicle talking about the trip as Jake's dad had come out wearing more normal clothing, sorta.. it was still the uniform just an adult sized version.
05 They'd gone on out to the woods where Johnathan was trying to show them how to put up a tent however Jake says "Uh, dad. These are popup tents, we just throw it into the air then put the spikes down so it doesn't blow away." and throws the tents up into the air with them popping open being actually kind of wide easily big enough for four maybe five people, though there would be two girls in one tent and three guys in the other. Jake and Rose then nail down the spikes to keep the tents in place.
06 Johnathan sighs about "Modern inventsions, what's next instant fire?" and Jake sorta looks to the side over at where the campfire would go before looking back at his dad not sure how he should respond to that since his dad didn't know about the whole Dragon thing and for that matter neither did Rose. Speaking of Rose then spoke up saying "Maybe not instant but I've got a waterproof flint match that my dad told me to take for the trip just in case." while showing them the metal container in her hand.
07 They'd gathered firewood and used the match to start it up and began to rost marshmallows and Spud was trying to resist stuffing another smore into his mouth ultimately giving in during the process and shoving it into his face. "Yo, where's the bathroom at?" Trixie had questioned and Rose says "Well, there's one down the path but it'll take awhile to get there on foot. Come on and I'll show you." and began to lead the way off to where there were some public restrooms for the area that had been put in place.
08 "Since when do the woods have bathrooms?" Johnathan then questioned which Spud answers stating "Since too many people kept getting poison ivy in not to friendly places and complaining about it." which Jake shudders in response to thinking about it. Jonathan says "I'll go gather more firewood." and then leaves as a small humanoid creature with butterfly like wings appears saying "American Dragon, thank goodness you're here. The Wood Sprites need your help."
09 We see Jake's dad Johnathan coming back with firewood with Spud being the only one left and the latter says "Jake had to go to the bathroom too." before then stuffing another smore in his mouth. Cutting the the village of the Forest Sprites the elder there says "Every 100 years we are plagued by the monster in accordance to the stars, we need you American Dragon to save us from this threat." which he responds to by saying "No problem, so what are we talking here?" wanting to know what threat they were dealing with.
10 "The Creature is known as the Jersey Devil." spoke the elder as they'd heard screeching in the distance "You must defeat it American Dragon, before it gets to the village." With a nod Jake then says "No problem, Dragon Up!" and in a burst of fire he transformed into his dragon form ready to go and kick that things sorry butt flying off in the direction of the screeching to try to keep the thing from reaching the village. We then see Trixie coming out of the restroom and looking around confused asking "Rose?" seeing that she wasn't there.
11 Jake had flown over to where the Jersey Devil was coming from and blasted them with fire when they'd gotten close making them slam into a tree having been temporarily blinded it'd broken the tree and tried to attack him with part of the broken lumber knocking him over into a cliffside wall letting out an angered roar. "Ya, like I ain't heard that one before." Jake then spoke and broke free from the wall throwing the stones at the creature hitting them at the base of one of their wings making them fall.
12 The beast then let out an angry roar and tried to get up but was blasted in their other wing by a strange glowing energy confusing Jake as he'd looked around questioning "Alright who did that?" and the Huntsgirl came out immediately making him go on the defensive though she wsays "I'm not after you today Dragon Boy. I have a mission to attend to." Jake over then calls "Ya, well I gotta protect some people from this thing so buzz off this one is mine." and he'd flown down striking the Devil with his tail knocking them into a large stone.
13 "Well then it would appear our goals are alligned, I too need to defeat this beast for my own reasons." The Huntsgirl spoke in response blasting the Jersey Devil in the side when they'd charged at Jake causing them to loose their footing and trip falling and sliding across the ground. "This isn't an enemy of my enemy sort of situation, you kidnapped my Grandpa and tried to kill me and my friends." he'd stated to them saying that he wasn't in the mood to deal with teaming up with her.
14 "Ya, well because of you and your friends my father is severly injured and in recovery." She'd called out as the Jersey Devil had enough and tried to get away but she'd blasted it with Sphinx Hair and grabbed at it's wing with Jake flying by calling "I'll take that." snatching away the net and the devil though some of the featheres from it's wing came out and she'd looked at her hand with a fistfull of them saying "Good enough." and tucked them away as Jake did away with the Jersey Devil.
15 The rest of the trip wasn't actually so bad now that that was taken care of. They'd gone fishing and mountain climbing together learning what plants were edible and what weren't it was overall a fun time and soon enough they had to go on back to the city packing their things and preparing to head on out. We then see that Rose had some feathers barely peeking out of her backpack as they'd place it into the trunk of the vehicle and they'd gotten into the car driving on off back to New York and back to whatever else they had to deal with there.
