American Dragon Up! Season 02 Episode 03
Jake and Spud had returned back to the shop where the American Dragon seemed disappointed about loosing the data after the laptop was destroyed. However Spud had revealed that he'd managed to save the data which helped to cheer them up a bit. and they'd began getting to work on the spare laptop that he'd kept at the shop hooking the external hard drive into the usb port and cracking his knuckles ready to start. While Spud was doing that Lao Shi had gotten a call and listened to what they'd had to say and looked over at Jake before hanging up.
"Alright it's gonna take some time before I can get through all this." Spud then stated to them working through the data as he does so.
Lao Shi then looks over towards Jake and says "For now young Dragon your work is never done, there are Hobgoblins causing issues and as the American Dragon it is up to you to stop them." reminding his grandson that he still needs to do his job even if he did just get backf rom escaping the Huntsclan.
"On it." Jake then spoke heading out to go and deal with that.
He's changed into Dragon form and then flown off to go and deal with the Hobgoblins that were causing trouble and charges over at them. One of them had tackled him from the side damaging the ropes form the bridge and gotten Jake Tangled, however some blue colored flames shot out and knocked them against one of the piers of the bridge.
Recognizing this Jake says "Hold up, I know those flames." and a familiar voice calls out to him.
"You ought to, it ain't been that long after all." and we see a greenish yellow dragon with orange horns wings and stripse flying down to help.
"Yo, Fred, how's it going?" Jake then questioned glad to see them.
The Austrialian Dragon responds "Better than how it's going for you." before then slashing at the ropes freeing Jake as another dragon that was a pinkish purple flew over too.
"Hi Jake." the dragon then waved saying hello and that surprised him.
"Wait wha.. Haley, since when can you Dragon Up?" he'd questioned his younger sister.
She then responds "Since you were away."
We see the Australian Dragon put a clawed hand on her shoulder stating "She helped me take down a Bunyip that'd made its way to one of your parks."
"Cool, how's about giving me a hand with these goof balls, I'm still exhaused from the Huntslcan infiltration mission." Jake then asked explaining that he was still a bit tired after everything he's dealt with the past couple of days.
The other two nodded in agreement and they looked at those Hobgoblins with a twisted sorta smirk on their faces and blasted them all with fire at the same time sending them crashing into the water and making the Hobgoblins swim away from them in fear.
The three then changed back into human form and sat down on the pier of the bridge with Jake saying "Thanks for the help, still can't believe I missed the Bunyip thing and Haley's first full transformation." while mesisng up his sister's hair with his hand which caused her to pout slightly.
"Ya, but you were busy with other matters. If it makes you feel any better she used that catchphrase of yours when she did it." Fred then stated about everything.
"It was fun." Haley then stated to the two of them saying that she enjoyed it.
They'd seen a flash and turned to find a pixie with a camera and he introduced himself saying "Name's Sam Spark I'm with the MCN, mind if I can get an interview?" however Jake didn't seem to recognize what they were talking about and neither did Haley.
"The MCN stands for Magical Creature News, they're one of the few respectable News organizations in the Magical world not like that trashy tabloid magazine." Fred then explained to them seeing that the two of them had seemed to be lost for a moment.
"Right uh, maybe later right now we gotta get back." Jake then spoke to the Pixie standing up and stretching.
"Can I get a picture of the three of you together in dragon form, it's not very often you see three working together at once." Sam then questions them and they look at each other for confirmation and nodding in agreement to one another.
"One picture, but then we gotta go." Haley told the little Pixie guy who nodded in agreement.
"Mind if I try that phrase of yours?" Fred questioned them looking over at Jake for confirmation.
"Go for it." Jake answers giving them the go ahead as Fred and Haley both stood up as well.
"Dragon UP!" The three all call together at once and in bursts of red and blue flames the three changed into their Dragon forms standing ready for the photo, and after Sam had taken it they'd flown off.
We then cut to the group getting to Lao Shi's shop where they find someone familiar waiting there, it was Jake's teacher Sun Park who greets them saying "Hello Jake, Haley, and you're.. Fred right?" though they were confused why she was there.
"What are you doing here?" Jake questions why his teacher would be at his grandfather's shop.
"Well you see Jake, I'm actually the Korean Dragon and I'm here to be Haley's Dragon Master. She'll need to be prepared if she's going to be your substitute." Sun explained to him about why she was there specifically.
"Speaking of Substitutes, mine's gonna be miffed I haven't been back yet, so I gotta head on out." Fred then tells them speaking up next preparing to head off now.
"Nice seeing you again, take care." Jake called as Fred flew off in dragon form leaving the rest of them there at the shop.
"Jake and I will attend the first of Haley's dragon training to ensure that Sun will be a proper teacher for her." Lao Shi then spoke and got a nod in response from Sun.
We then cut to the next day where Sun was speaking to Haley for her first lession saying "Before we start. Hugs." and holds open her arms.
However Haley just looks at her funny and responds "Um.. No." which disappointed Sun but they moved onto to the first lesson which was trust exercises.
They'd done a trustfall and while Haley was Caught by Sun Jake knew better and when Lao Shi didn't move to catch him he'd changed into Dragon form flying upwards before he hit the ground.
"You are learning Young Dragon, you never know when an ally may be turned against you be it by their own choice or through manipulation." Lao Shi then stated the next exercise was on strength and while Sun had Haley meditating Jake was doing physical challenge holding up many different magical creatures including a giant though he didn't seem to strain much.
"Dragons are the strongest mythical creatures this is nothing." Jake then states as they prepare to move to the next part of the training.
The next lesson was charty of the dragon and while Haley was braiding a small fairy's hair talking with her Jake was checking out the inside of a giant's mouth saying "Looks like you got a rotten Tooth, you bite me Imma blast you with fire got it." and they nodded as Jake grabbed at the tooth and ripped it out.
"Now wherever you've been buffeting at, stop it." and the Giant nodded in response to what Jake was telling them. "Haley ain't gonna get stronger if Sun keeps babying her." Jake then sighs about that.
"Now Jake, each Dragon Master teaches in their own unique way." Sun then spoke to the American Dragon explaining that they were all different.
"Um, ya, no offense Sun but I think I'd rather learn from Jake, even though I'm his baby sister he doesn't treat me like a baby and I don't really like this overly cuddly approach." Haley then speaks up for herself saying that she doesn't actually like Sun's flowery teaching meathods.
"Well, I suppose I can try to teach a bit more like Lao Shi's meathods." Sun agreed saying she would try to be less of a hippie with her training meathods. "But I Am still going to be your Dragon Teacher."
